Had 2 goes at this one. On the first attempt we were running out of light so came back in the morning a couple of days later to find a diamond python sunning himself near site. Thought snakes were supposed to hibernate through winter! Had a look around but didn't want to go too near the snake so beat a retreat emptihanded.
On my way home from the Milton/Ulladulla area, I wanted to pick off a few along the Highway.
This one was easy enough. I went down the corridor, up and over the fence, then across to GZ for the find. It took a little bit of searching but then spotted the cache from a few metres away. It was half full of water, and will need some maintenance soon.
Thanks for the cache

Thanks for bringing us here to this location Odee McPodie.
**The Cache**
Called in at 4:35pm. Thought I had the coordinates worked out but I guess I didn't. I had the gps telling me to go one way and the tablet (pc) the other. I was running around in circles and turned up nothing. I am usually not one to do multis on the spot, preferring to get my information and return later for the find. It was getting late and quite cold and three of us are croaking and have sore throats, so for that reason and that I would like to venture to the waterfall we will return very soon with accurte coordinates and have a proper look.
**The Day**
With school holidays concluding its time to release baby to mummy. I was considering heading down Albatross Rd and then onto Braidwood Rd and turn off at Turpentine Rd but then realised I've wanted to do the Braidwood Rd/Neriga series for the past two school holidays. No time like the present!! Didn't leave as early as I wanted but it all turned out well in the end. The day was absolutely amazing, bright blue sky, nice warm sun beaming down. The road trip was enjoyed immensely and the cache hunting fun. It was fantastic to go to the lookouts and see amazing views. The last time we came through here was some 10 years ago when the road was dirt and they were putting the new tarred road in - wow it sure is nice and cruisy now. Heading further south we called in here on the way.

We missed the turn, tried to go the back way, then called it off.... have to keep moving....
Did this one solo and was on the look out for snakes the entire time! What a beautiful hidden place with such a history.
This cache is in need of some serious love. It had quite a lot of water & the log could not be signed. The smell was a bit off putting too!

The stile over the fence is just about the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Anyway... it's a good cache but the log is soaked to the point of ruination. It would most definitely benefit from the CO's attention.
Could not get to cache due to the overgrown track and was deterred by the image of the red belly in location photos.
This was going to be my first cache hunt for the day but I missed the turnoff so now planed for it on my way home.
Nice walk to a place I never knew was here.
I found all WP with no problems and as soon as I worked out the final GZ,batteries in the gps died
I put coords into phone and it took me to a place I wasnt sure about but after a quick search soon found the cache ))
Log was wet and I couldnt write on it so added some paper in a new plastic sleeve.

Currently staying at Lake Conjola entrance tourist park and chose this to sooth the compulsive addition.
As geowifey and GeoJack stayed in the vehicle, I made my way down the narrow space of land towards the sign. It does appear that it looks like private land upon approach to WP1 but we know of the existence of the national park easement.
Found the number on the sign and worked out GZ coords.
Stayed on the park side of the fence to GZ where the lmedium sized bucket container was spied.
Hard to sign the log as the paper is quite damp, thus photo of log page taken, thanks Odie McPodie

Minced around the area dreading a snake sighting or biting. Looked in ALL the possible hidey holes. Nearly ready to give up when Brave spotted the container in a most unlikely spot .... uncovered and sitting on its lonesome. Container a swimming pool for tokens! Everything inside was submerged and waterlogged. Stinky too! Quite foul really, so hope you don't mind that we emptied the lot of rusted, algae smeared muck into the bin. Left the saturated log which we managed to sign with our laundry marker! This was really nearly gone and forgotten ... or we wondered, should it be like this all the time to live up to its name? A strangely enjoyable adventure TFTC Odee McPodie
We planned a geomission to the coast with Rapidlywild to collect a souvenir, fill an empty spot on our D/T grid, and get our 9000th find before we head across the pond to the USA in a months time. FFLL No 1 geomum tagged along for the drive. The smiling shiny faces headed down the highway.
We headed back out to the main road after spending some time around the water and this one popped up on our screen. We parked along the road and headed off down the hill to the first stile, negotiated one mores of these handy tools. We soon arrived at the waypoint, collected the information and calculated GZWe took to the short walk and arrived at GZ. A search was undertaken of all the likely spots, then we moved the least likely and soon had the cache in hand. As previous finders have mentioned the log is completely saturated, but our stamp was able to be recorded. Not much in the way of tombstones.

When the souvenir's were announced a few weeks back, and then a particular puzzle was released, a plan was hatched and booked in for a coastal trip for today with myself, the FurfacesLL ladies and FFLL geomum.
We had an absolutely amazing day today and we were exposed to some experiences never done by me before. This included caching via canoe (yes, believe it or not, I had never been in a canoe before today), wading across a freezing cold creek, mudsliding and using trees to cross creeks. We collected 29 caches today including Earthcaches, Puzzles, Multis and Traditionals. One cache in particular was the key cache for the day, it was the targeted 9,000th find for the FurfacesLL ladies (Absolutely amazing achievement!!!!), it was a matrix box filler for both myself and the FurfacesLL ladies, I recieved 4 souvenir's from the one cache and I went in a canoe for the very first time wow what a cache!!!
Next up was this multi, parked at identified location and myself and FFLL#2 went off to collect required information and cache. Didnt take too long to get to the sign and had a quick read, we had a look round for any resemblance of a cemetry here but unfortunately we couldnt locate anything. Once at GZ, took a little monkeying around in order to locate the container. However as mentioned by others, this is in need of some serious CO intervention. The log book was drenched! [xx(] We stamped a page, but its about half way through the book as you couldnt open single pages as they were dripping with water. Back to the geomobile for us.
Thanks Odee McPodie for placing these caches, lovely area especially on a day like today.

Walked in through the gate and over the stiles to the sign. Got the information and calculated the coordinates for GZ. Approached as suggested, and had to look in a number of possible locations before the cache was eventually found. The log is completely soaked and was impossible to write in. Left a Viking sticker as proof of us having been there.
#purpleelephant #blackpanther Found it on second attempt, log to wet to sign
Cool location. Very interesting, although we did not continue on to the falls today! Certainly took a while at GZ - so many hidey holes! But we found it eventually. As mentioned previously, this logbook is SOAKED! Luckily my space pen can write on wet paper! TNLN, thanks OMcP.
The cache container and log need to be replaced. The log is totally soaked and the container was full of water. Thx
Found this one with CJ this morning in a nice quiet unknown NPWS park on the South Coast.
It is great that it is now so much quieter everyone has gone back to work and school. As we arrived at the WP to find the clue to the GZ, we were greeted by a 2 metre red bellied black snake. I was distracted by the GPRs and not looking and almost stepped on him. Yikes! I jumped like a jack rabbit and alarmed CJ.
We read the clue and made the calculations. CJ focused on the snake about 4 metres to ensure he didn't head our way whilst whilst I entered the GZ coords. We headed off through the long grass with a little trepidation to find the cache. The find took a few minutes before I spotted the cache and called CJ over. It was totally soaked. I drained about 1/2 litre from the container as I opened it and the zip lock bag with the log was totally wet. We could not sign the log. We took a couple of pics and will attach them to this log.
Anyway, it was a satisfying find being so close by. We weren't sure we'd find this one as it had been about 7 months since the last log. Thanks Odee McPodie for another of your caches. TNLN TFTC

Found with AM. OK, I like to think of myself as an outdoorsy person, but for the life of me, I cannot come upon a snake without having a bit of a freak out moment! AM was the first to spot this bad boy red belly, but didn't notice him till he was about 1.5 meters away. YI! I was jumpy the whole rest of the time we were looking for the cache. Still, it was a beautiful little reserve area. DNSL as it was soaked, so we took pics instead. TFTC, OdieMcP
Bit of a hidden location for sure. Enjoying a great days caching with this one on our list. My memory of this one still reminds me as I brushed my arm against the nettle tree and boy do they give you a jab. Watch out for them they are the plants with big leaves similar to pumpkin vines. Interesting history. SLTN..TFTC
Headed south with friends , took the walk , did the calculation and Bingo, no leeches today is a bonus. TFTC
Tried this one before a couple of years ago without any success at all. Today it was much easier. However i still think the entry gate is very hard to spot and looks like you are going onto private property untill you finally find the national parks sign after 30 meters. After that is it easy going and it all make sense!

At first I thought I was in the wrong spot to park, but a closer look showed me I was right afterall. A very pleasent walk to Waypoint 1 and the required info was easily spotted. The walk to GZ was longer than I had expected and I was glad of my long pants & walking boots. I found the cache lid first, a few meters from the cache. The cache was eventually located. I drained it & cleaned it out but the lid does not clip down, just sits on top so I placed a large rock on top to hold it down. A very enjoyable caching experience TFTC
Beautiful little reserve here. No leeches but I can see why they would like this moist spot! Logbook is a bit damp but usable. TFTC!
The inside of the container and the actual log are both damp. I think the ziploc bag was not closed properly sometime.
Added the wrong number first. That sent me somewhere in the middle of a jungle, so I went back and added the right number.
That got me to the right place, but no leeches.
Found it much easier in the right place than in the wrong one
The inside of the container and the log book were both wet.

I'm glad you included the waypoint co-ords, as even when I stopped near the start, I wasn't sure I was in the right place. The grass was nearly waist high on the way in, but I could see the information sign in the distance.
An interesting little park. Spent a bit of time reading the boards before GZ drew me off.
Walked off towards the final to a surprisingly quick find. No leeches here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found it with my brother and Aunt and Uncle who are out visiting from Scotland, now very keen geocachers. Not so sure about the coordinates in the middle, the last coordinates really helped. Great little copse of trees. Didn't much like the leeches. However nice spot.
Had a bit of trouble locating as the GPS ended up showing to be about 6mts away from GZ.
Was nearly ready to give up when one last look and I came up with the goods.

Found information, successfully pinned location (after a while) and had nearly given in to defeat when alas geohubby spotted the container....wooohoooo! On edge about the snakes, the bats in the background and the leeches at GZ added to this experience. I don't think I've seen so many leeches on us ever!! Awesome victory, thanks! Friendly horses in the paddocks made this one something a little different for us.
What an eerily interesting spot. With a massive storm coming in and high winds it gave this area a feel of the undead. TFTH, TNLN, SL
Well, we didn't quite realise what we let ourselves into when we decided to stop for this cache. Fortunately it was chilly and rainy so the slithery gate guardian was nowhere to be seen but a curious black pony did come over to check us out. Spotted the National Parks sign and that let us know that we were headed in the right direction and despite the weather were still a bit nervous about what might be lurking in the tall grass. After the stile, we could see what was lurking - lots of fresh cow patties!!! Managed to avoid them, find WP1, learn about the Nature Reserve and its residents and calculate GZ coordinates. Soggily made our way to GZ, poked, peeked, looked on one side then the other and spotted our objective. Removed cover, started to do the usual duties when we realised that snakes were not our issue - yikes!!! it's leech-central!! Hurry up sign and get out of here! T a mobile phone cover L a mini-Winnie the Pooh soccer player SL really quickly TFTC Cheers........Gaztek
After sneaking past the gatekeeper basking under a tree, huge black snake, I was a little edgy in the long grass. But soon in hand. TFTC

Spent nearly a couple of hours on this one.. Don't be fooled by what looks like private property. We'll go back there with a better gps unit reception wise and explore further. A great spot and my mate lives there and doesn't even know about wp1.
Didnt try to attempt this one today, but will very soon!... Is WP1 where the co-ord decode numbers are? Does the original co-ords have anything to do with where it is? O.o
Found the first part and worked out the second co ord. however not dressed for snake country so will be back another day. Well worth the effort though. Another little piece of the South Coast history we did not know about. I know we didn't find the cache but we still had a positive experience.
No luck despite a prolonged effort, a word of warning for future Cachers, We saw a very big Red Belly Black snake on the track toward thecache, easily 2m long and very active for this time of year.

Second visit, this time I tried a little harder and found it within about 5m of GPS GZ. Was on the bike so TNLNSL, thanks, Pelusa
I almost rode past this one as it didn't make sense at first. On closer examination found my way to WP1 and got the magic numbers.
Added them to the decimal part of the minutes for Lat & Long but no find.
Went back to check the magic numbers did my sums again but no luck. Had to give up, my bike was getting lonely on the other side of the fence.

Found by Team Wookus @ 1.20pm. What a great cache in an unusual spot. Tricky to find wp1 but then a lot of fun.
We like the ones that hold a bit of history. Pity the cemetery has nothing left there but we did find one headstone. Cool little hide.
Found the entrance to this one without any trouble at all. At WP1 we found a lot of information regarding the site that made for very interesting reading. Coordinates for GZ were a breeze to figure out and we quickly made our way there.
GZ is a very interesting area that is well worth exploring - just beware of the leech's. Thanks for bringing us here Odee, it was a very nice place to visit.

Thanks Oldie McPodie for a great cache
This took two days! Got the required info and had a look without success the first day- how did you know this was there?
Anyway, phoned a friend for a tip and went back today- was in the right spot just didn't look hard enough. Had missed it by a whisker! TFTC!

I would never have discovered this place on my own, thanks Odee for showing it to me. It certainly is not advertised or even sign posted until you get there. The information was interesting, and I would like to spend more time and check out the falls one day, but It was late, there was a storm on the way, and I was already behind schedule having been held up at an earlier cache on my afternoon's caching adventure.
Once I got close, GZ was fairly obvious (to a cacher), and the cache was readily found. This was very fortunate, as I had left my cache notes behind and had to ring Roo, who was minding the fort, for some information. She is not "into" computers, and I wasn't sure she could find everything I needed, but she came through for me, and there it was! Another well stocked cache, in an interesting location.
Took: Crayons
Left: Keyring & TB "mado-bike"

The first of two Odee McPodie caches today. You could say I went there in stile. The cemetery has indeed seen better days. Thanks Odee - this is certainly a place one would never know about but for geocaching!
You cant beat FTF while your on holidays and this was the case for us today. Left Mrs Rat in the car as junior slept, so I took the others for a walk.
Found the cache after getting the required info. A nice spot and out of the way. Not too mny would know of the cemetry.
Left a coin for the next finder. Thanks Odee
