Lovely walk to Falls. No falls too dry but saw lovely birds. Geo dog preferred to wait on path as she does not like long grass
We took the odd way in to find this cache, but found the trail to take on the way out, which was fortunate as it was a lovely walk alongside the lake. Much better than the route we took in. No water flowing today.A short drive today from Hay to Narrandera, arriving around lunchtime so we had a chance to look round town and do some caching. To us it seems to be a quite old town with plenty of impressive buildings and a fine piece of art on the water tower.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache hoogs.**SKI Pair****
Really enjoyed being led to this special little oasis thanks for sharing! Silly me just grabbed a pen when Id read it needs a new container, but the logs still doing great.
#6514.Lady Thrips had to be in Narrandera for a meeting, so I had to keep the kids busy for a while. It was pretty easy passing the time with some great caches. It would have been great if the waterfall was flowing, but now we will just have to come back to this special spot in the wet season. We drove down to the cache about halfway and then took on the rest of the road by foot. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find.
The. Iid is. Broken full. Of. Water cache needs to be service. Thanks for the lovely view the chair would if been a nicer location...tftc Found this with my new geo son and granson ...Thanks again
A pleasant walk to what is a very dry spot today. I found your D1.5/T2.0 Small Traditional called Talbot Water fall on 24 March 2024. It was find #18792 for me. Thank you hoogs for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of New South Wales.
Something special or unusual goes here:No water flowing over the fall today but an enjoyable walk and quick find. The Generic Bit:The Capital Geobash Adventure 2024. Day 2: Balranald to Wagga Wagga. It had only been 12 months or so since Anymules and I traveled this route across Hay Plain. In that time Balranald had 5 new caches but it turned out today was going to be a DNF day for us. Corrected one DNF from last year but added 3 more. As usual we followed the unfound boxes until it became a dash to our overnight digs....again. ***Thanks hoogs for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
TFTC great walk in here Cache container damaged contents wet Log still dry ATM
Day 6 of our geo adventure holiday, after finding a great camp down on the river, we set off on our way home
This holiday has been all about taking the time to see some of the amazing gems that you find while geocaching
Nice easy find after a short walk in a pretty spot

#21167. Day 3 of our escape into NSW. We started the day with a long walk to Talbot Water Fall from the boat ramp and back again and then drove around town gathering up a few caches and having a look at a few sights.
This was a nice start to our morning although it was a late start and we signed the log just after 11.00am. The lake is almost empty and muddy but the wading birds seemed to be enjoying it. So much greenery and a few surprises with palm trees and bulbs with their new growth emerging. Both sections of the falls were not flowing today but it was a pretty place nevertheless.
Somewhere in the last several years the container has morphed from a white cylinder into an extremely aged 1 litre Sistema with a hole in the lid. Time for some CO maintenance I think.
Thanks hoogs

Day three of setting off north with BettyBoo3747 and geodoggies.
The weather in Beechworth has been far too damp and cold for caching!
Today we started in Narrandera, and just had a lazy day caching here.
The dogs hadn't had a good walk so we started at the boat ramp and did the lakeside walk to the waterfall. About 1km either way.
A great path and lots of water birds and one water rat.
The tide is certainly out on the lake. I doubt they can water ski on that much water!
Despite all the rain we have had, there was no water in the waterfall, a nice spot all the same.
Thanks, Robmc.

After finding a place to camp at the old brewery field (half covered in water) we decided not to do the long walk to this cache in case the path was covered in water as there is a lot of flooding about.
Drove to a close point then walked from there, could have driven further with the 4wd but didn't want to damage the tracks. Anyway the walk was pleasant and not far. Despite the rain the falls were only a trickle. Cache was found after a quick search and log was dry thanks to its new plastic bag.

Out and about today with Geowife and Geodog exploring the local area. Beautiful river system. Have put log in plastic bag. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
On my way home now after spending couple nights camping near Condo. Weather is the opposite to my drive up here, its cold wet and windy. Decided to go a different way home, via Narrandera and grab a few caches along the way.
Drove as close as I could get to this one. A nice spot, surprised to see the big palms nearby. Picked up TB to move along. TFTC!

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to hoogs for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Tftf ,beautiful area.
Found the cache and dropped a few items within but I didn't have a pen so I was unable to sign the log.

Unfortunately after a lovely evening walk 200 metres down the path, no log or container could be seen. I'm sure the hint would have lead us to the right spot. We did have a muggle wallaby watching, maybe he stole it. Thanks for placing it and taking us out there
We were in sunny alert on for a family Christmas weekend, and after all the excitement yesterday, we came over here for a wander around the koala habitat, unfortunately we didn’t see any drop bears, but we did see this cache.
We initially tried to come in on the lower track but a really really big tree had decided to take a nap across the track so we backtracked and came in on the top track then hoofed it down the hill.
The falls were as dry as a chip today but they would be fairly impressive after a good dose of rain.
The container is still valiantly holding up, but only just, it’s showing it’s age and the log book was slightly damp but still able to write on.

Returning home from QOGM 2022 for a couple of nights. Completed Ad Labs at the cemetery and headed out for this one.
Lots of rain over the past few days and we weren't sure what the access would be like.
With a high clearance vehicle, we drove as close as we could, not knowing whether we would be able access the cache due to a rising river. All found safe and snug.
Added our name and trackables visited.

What a lovely hike. Tftc! Unfortunately there wasn't enough rain recently for an active waterfall!
A lovely walk to this cache. We started from the rotary lookout and enjoyed some great views of the lake along the way. The path seems to continue on but we were on a mission today. Tftc
I found it after navigating on foot from previous dnf. So finding it was a shot in the arm.
No water fall today but plenty of mozzies. Well done

Staying in Narrandera on our caravanning adventure around Australia. This cache combines bush walking & cache hunting, the 2 things we love the most. We drove in to start, even with a raised 4WD it was challenging. We parked & walked the last 180 meters, came acrossa few locals who bounced away at the sight of us. Found the cache after a short walk. No waterfall today. Beautiful scenery. The log is a little wet. SL. TFTC.

Heading up north to Parkes for work. I decided to make the trip a 2 day one, as there is quite a few caches between home and Parkes.
Today was the bigger of the 2 travelling days. Took me 6.5 hours to do a 4.5hour trip where I stopped in Narrandera for the night.
Took the short walk option in.
30min after finding this cache there was a huge storm that came ovet Narrandera, that dumped a heap of rain in a short amount of time. It flooded out parts of the town and there were ses, fire, police and council workers all over the place.
I wonder what the falls would have looked like then.

It’s nice to do the lakeside walk from the Talbot boat ramp. It’s a 2km return walk. Didn’t have a pen and none in cache, so did photo. Not much water in falls despite recent heavy rains. TFTC.
Not knowing the area too well, the high clearance here only stood us in good stead where we arrived at an old abandoned storehouse. The architecture was interesting here so if anyone local has some background they can send my way, very happy to read. TFTC!
Headed away for a bit of a post lockdown trip to central west NSW. My main goal for the trip was to find GC2F6F (2001 cache), but as always I couldn't drive past as if it wasn't there. This was one of the many caches I found on my road trip.
Took for 4WD on a short expedition and came up with a waterfall that hadnt seen any flow for a while.
Thanks to the CO's for hiding your cache and contributing in a small way to the fun I had.

After attending the CacheQLD MEGA, over Easter we are heading steadily back towards Victoria, hopefully we will qualify to cross the border! Each day a number of rest stops must be factored in. It was interesting to walk around the area after booking in to our accommodation.
Thanks hoogs for placing interesting caches on the gameboard.

Beautiful location off the beaten track. It was quite dry while I was there, but can imagine what it would have been like after some rain!
There were lots of pretty little flowers on the trek down.
The swaps are looking a bit sparse - had I known I would have brought some more along!
Thanks for the cache.

Camping nearby we drove in from the opposite side to what was suggested in the description. Nice spot. Will try & check it out if in the area after rainfall. TFTC.
TFTC very pretty spot and easy to find. We parked the car on side of road and walked in. Mozzies and March flies a bit friendly today.
Thanks for the cache it was dry when we were there but it would be awesome in the wet .
Apologies for the late log.

21,662. Found with minniek during our October Long Weekend Outback Adventure.
Day 2 of our October Long Weekend Outback NSW trip. After packing up camp and having brekkie at the Narrandera Bakery (a must do when in the area) we headed off for this one. I'd missed this one during my last visit but we were determined to do it this time. It was a lovely walk along the water's edge towards GZ. The palms were amazing to see. Once at GZ we crossed the dry waterfall for a quick find.
TFTC hoogs !! Lovely place to visit for a cache.

A long weekend brings with it a weekend of camping and caching. fitzy_1965 and I decided to do a loop from Goulburn out to Naranderra, Griffith, Condoblin and back home so I could pick up the last few counties out that way.
Up nice and early, packed and on the road. Nice walk to get the blood pumping first thing once we found the right track. Waterfall very dry at the moment.

We took the long track and enjoyed the walk and the view. Tftc. Found it by following cachers tracks.
Found on 7/7! Didn't bring a pen though so couldn't write a note good spot though!
Lucky we have a four wheel drive car. Stopped at the top of the hill and walked in. Great spot. Tftc
Having our first on traditional christmas, which means a perfect opportunity to get a cache on 25th dec. This one sounded like an interesting location. Would love to see it when it had water in it. Tftc
Cache 3 of our trip to QLD and this one looked like a good one to stretch the legs out on , what a cool little area the palms were definitely bonus touch

Sadly for us to the falls are as dry as ------, we would love to have seen them in the wet and with them flowing. As it is a hot afternoon and we have a suitable car we chose to drive to within a short distance of GZ. All is good with the cache. SL TFTC
We started at caravan park and then walked east along the Lake Talbot Track and across the Rocky Waterholes Bridge. Returned anti-clockwise along the Bundidgerry Walking Track. Two hours and about 8 km and a very pleasant walk. Finding this somewhat isolated cache was a bonus. A quick find once we were there. TFTC hoogs. Found 28/9/19 4:39 pm. Cache 1757 for us.

Another beautiful day out and about with Catnap777. Great company. Generic log. Itenerary for the day. Albury/Wodonga, Urana via Corowa, Naranderra, Grong Grong, then home via the rock. Thanks to all cache owner for placement and maintenanceof Caches. If there were any issues with any of those caches, you would have been notified. Thanks again and cheers.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 12/07/2019. Catching up on some belated logging today.
Driving North from Melbourne to Parkes today. After a few stops earlier in the trip it was time for another rest break, this cache offered a good opportunity to stretch the legs as well. We parked the car on the main road and walked in. After passing the structures halfway down the hill (I'd be interested to know what they are) we made our way to the dry waterfalls and had the log book signed. The waterfall might have been a bit disappointing but the view across Lake Talbot was spectacular in the late afternoon sun. A fav point for that view for sure! After watching the water birds for a few minutes we trekked back up the hill and hit the road again. TFTC.

Standing on top of the waterfall with Gliss after a spectacular walk. So many amazing birds and so many answers to GCA locationless caches. Such the perfect way to spend some time. Thanks so much for the cache. A FAV from me for bringing us out this way.

A picturesque bushwalk and then hunting around for the right location to match the hint. Nibletricecakes made the find and then back to the car. TFTC.
Arrived in town late this afternoon and realised the only cache in Narrandera is disabled! This was the next closest. Took a bit of working out the best options in the rain, but we had a 4WD and hubby has great navigation senses! Enjoyed a short walk down a washed out track to great little spot. SL TFTCM
Heading to Roma Qld for the DTL Nationals. I had visited this cache on the 6/4/18 but hadn't logged it. So having previous knowledge made for an easy second find.

I have a free day… let’s go caching. I decided on finding the last section of the ‘RGGT Trail’ and the loose caches between the final of the trail and Narrandera. It feels so good to have finally finished the ‘RGGT Trail’ and off my To-Do-List. I started this trail on the 31 October 2016 and finished it on 26 November 2018 which is a 757 day journey. This includes 5 attempts and lots of fun and laughs.
Day #1 (31/10/16): Caches #1 to #19
Day #2 (05/04/18): DNF’s from #1 to #19
Day #3 (17/04/18): Caches #20 to #32
Day #4 (25/07/18): Caches #33 to #61
Day #5 (26/11/18): Caches #62 to #81 (A.K.A. Final)
It was such a nice drive around the county side with a clear sky, a lot of wildlife running/flying around and getting lost in Matong Forest. I did eventually find my way after nearly an hour of driving and walking around the area. Before heading home, I had lunch at Subway in Narrandera. On some of the smaller logbooks I signed as 26/11 JM and TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank Riverina Geocaching for the great trail and to all other CO’s of the other caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them.

Great day caching around the area. Loved the walk to this one ..... sadly no waterfall though. TFTC
Our first for the morning after leaving the motel at Narrandera on the last stint of our journey home after QOGM.
Naturally there was no water to fall after the prolonged drought, but it is still a pretty spot to explore. Our compasses were going a bit silly but I eventually discovered it in the second place Muggle Hubby and I looked.
Thanks for placing and maintaining it for our entertainment.
