One of my first ever placements, and a great spot. Someone else's turn to use this location.
Out and about on the first fine day in a while today and wanting to have a proper look around a town we have only ever passed through before.
A short and moderately steep but nicely maintained pathway to the summit; not too muddy in spite of the seemingly constant rain over the last two months.
While the GPSr sent me one way, our muggle friend discovered the cache the other. Did the honours and replaced as found. Everything nice and dry inside the cache here. TFTC ADV.

Found it!! But no pen can put up picture evidence if requested! Great view at day and night
Very nice spot with great view. So glad to have come here and discovered it. Swapped TBs. Cache all good. TFTC
Quick detour on the way to Masterton. Lovely little stroll, up the hill. Thought I was going to need to do some bush-bashing, but I just needed to go a bit further up the path. Beautiful spot at GZ with a fantastic view. Cache was a straight forward find. Dropped in a replacement log. Thanks for bringing me to this great spot. TFTC.
Took the long way. Met some cute young muggles at the GZ who were having a wonderful adventure. Needed a bit of stealth due to the muggles but all easy. Tftc

Decided to go for a spontaneous car trip with LCBuilder and the geodogs. Going where the caches take us and sleeping where ever we were when the sun went down. I've had my eye on this cache for awhile, driving past the hill while in the area a few times but never had the time to do the walk. Not that it was a very long walk! So glad we done it, nice view from the top and done it just as the light was fading so it wasn't too hot All in good order, TFTC and FP!
Beatifull view! On both sides of the hill! TFTC and greetings from Czech Republic!
Easy find on a nice day. Great view and good little walk thanks.

Walked up the hill. Found the cache but no log book in it. Damn muggles, so after that wall I'm going to claim I found it
Walked to the GL found it ok but logbook was missing, Can you please replace logbook
#1235 Found during a 24 hour caching raid in the Wairarapa with Nic-jay- seeing how many we could find in 24 hours. A walk to the get the heart rate up and the legs warmed up! Glad to have found the cache at the top- a lovely little reserve. TFTC!
Found while on a 24 caching roadie with Skaga through parts of the Waiarapa.
A lovely wee reserve, not sure about the comment about it being an easy 10 minute walk! It certainly got us warmed up. Met a couple of locals on their way down and again on their way up. They walk/run up to the top twice every day! Let's just say that they're a lot fitter than me! TFTC

I'm not so sure about the adjective easy in the description. It took a bit of effort, but once there, the views were wonderful and the cache was quickly located. Just got the log signed and returned when two muggles walking dogs appeared. Thanks for the cache.
StreetWalker had found this cache on a solo trip to Featherston nearly three years ago so it has been taunting me ever since on every visit to the area, especially as it is just over 300m from my sister's house.
This morning, the stars were aligned and accompanied by said sister, we made the climb (using the track starting in Revans St which was a bit muddy after the recent rain). First went to the lookout at the top - the views here are even better than the one at the pine tree. Can recommend that after finding the cache, people should backtrack down the steps, then carry on up the path a short distance to a second set of steps that take you to the top lookout.
Cache was a quick find with excellent co-ords in the obvious spot. We then did the loop by going down the main track, which was in much better condition. An excellent spot for a cache, thanks for bringing me here.

A spot of Anzac Day caching. Nothing better. This en route to Martinborough. How many times have I promised to stop in here?
Cache find was straightforward after a stiff and invigorating climb, and out waiting the muggles. Cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet p too

It was raining and blowing a gale when we went up there..typical Featherston weather..hehe..nice view though!
Bit of a lung-sucker, quick stride up the hill, and another awesome tree in/around Featherston. That seems to have been the main theme for our Featherston-cache-hunt. Quick find at GZ.
Cool views, on a lovely sunny afternoon ... especially over to the Haurangis.
Dropped 'Breast Cancer Awareness" Geocoin. Heading North!

This is a nice walk although it's definitely uphill! There was a bit of trouble finding the treasure - took some good looking but we got there : )
It's a great view, and interesting how loud things are up there.

Made the walk up to the Lone Pine Summit and enjoyed the views as we signed the log. This is our last Wairarapa cache of the trip. Over the last days we have driven up several valleys into the edges of the Rimutakas. Next thing to do is to drive over the top. TFTC.

Found this cache with Kiwi Explorer on a most enjoyable and productive three day caching raid in the Wairarapa. Apologies in advance for the rather template state of this log. We found over 200 caches in our visit which has left me with rather vague and blurred memories of some of them. Anything that really stood out will get a special mention. Headed up the track after finding the cache at the start. A nice quick leg stretch it was too with rewarding views. Cache all good too. TFTC, Biggles.
Found while touring the district with Biggles. Great views that were well worth the puffing that was required to get here. TFTC
After short stroll uphill grabbed this cache. Unexpected great view over the Wairarapa from here. TFTC. Sherlock Hood.
Good views, but rather draughty at the time! Cache is dry, and in good cond.thank you.
It was a bit damp around today so the track was a little bit slippery. A nice little walk to the top and cache was quickly in hand.

TFTC - good climb up the hill to some great views. Cache well hidden but found after a quick hunt. Definitely worth the climb.
A nice wee grunt up to this one on a great track which I would otherwise have never known about! Enjoyed the views on a perfect calm afternoon before heading back down. TFTC!
Really good quality cache. A great spot, an easy find and in a secure position. TFTC
Very nice view from up here. Found the cache with no problem, and signed the log.
There was a lot of rubbish up by the table unfortunately. We cleared up as best we could.

A great climb in slippery conditions. It was well worth the walk. Thanks for the cache.
4th of 26 for the day. The rain meant that the track was greasy but the walk was still very enjoyable. The view was great but the low cloud prevented them from being at their best.

Very very windy up here today! Lovely view though, well worth coming up! Cheers Gav [7925]
Quite the hike up! Thought I was out of shape (which I am), until the return trip proved how steep it really was! Nice view, had to admire for a few minutes while a couple of muggles and their dog finished off their beers before heading off. Took the button and left the parachute guy. TFTC!

Decided against doing this one last night as we were pushing for the finds for 2010 but that just meant we had this one bookmarked as the first find for 2011!
Happy New Year Neil, thanks for the stroll up here to kickstart 2011.

#1843. Climbed up with brother-in-law GT from his house on the main road. Was a bigger climb than I had expected. Eventually found after consulting the hint. TFTC.
Nice spot for the cache. Enjoyed the morning view over Featherston. A good way to get the blood pumping.

Did with agcnz on a day long caching trip. Definitely one the few caches of the day that stood out.. Not only for the massive amount of exercise to get to the top but also the view from up here.. Glad to have this one off my list. Thanks for a great cache...
A fast stride up the hill and a quick find on a day's cache hunting in the Wairarapa with CrystalFairy. Great view! Signed log, TFTC
#142. Woohoo! Our first find for the day! What a great place to hide a cache, and what stunning views. Enjoyed the walk both up and down. SL TFTC!
Mrs Sobad and her sister have lots of memories of Featherston but this was the first time we had walked in the area. Walked up from Bell St, took a couple of photos then found the cache. TNLN TFTC
Did this from the other end so took a little longer. Found with with walynanny & presusie
