Logs
A few months ago we were introduced to the statistic on project g-c that is about finders of archived caches. Since then we have spent considerable time researching and searching for archived caches.
I noticed that this cache was found fairly recently as far as archived caches go, so I was feeling hopeful of a successful find here.
I arrived at GZ and in between muggles and a fairly constant stream of vehicles I headed to the likely spot. Sure enough there in the first place I looked was the cache, nicely tucked away.
I pulled it out along with about 1000 ants, they were not happy with me interferring with their home and they went into manic mode. They were everywhere. I signed the log and popped it back as I had found it. This would have been a good hide back when it was as the CO designed it.
Thanks for placing (and leaving) this cache

Passing by here after dropping off mrs capperz and nightowl19 I thought this structure would make a good place to hide a cache being near to the road, views, parking, views, discrete, views etc. I carried out my usual dismissive search to ensure there wasn't the final to a puzzle, or multi contained on the structure and all looked good. Imagine my surprise when i spied a sheet of card, laminated and with a log-book attached to the back. Yippee a cache to log! Hang on, last date on there is January 2009 so it's probably archived, so what's tghe GC code? Who knows. I know I'll contact a previous finder and ask them if they can help. Sure enough, one of the finders was able to pinpoint their find and let me know the G C code.
Replaced as found in case it was a clue for another cache/multi/other thing but chuffed to find a long ago archived (and still present) cache.

I've had this entered into my GPS for ages now and was in the area a few days ago so decided to have a gander. I didn't realise it had been temporarily disabled so I found it tucked under the hood where Hebbardos left it. I hope you get it up and running again soon as I can see that it is a cleaver hide when hiding as intended. TFTC
Found saturated on the ground, tucked it under hood but not really usable as is.
A quick find to a cunningly hidden cache !!! Managed to sqeeze our name onto the log but there's now no room for any others .... TFTC
Just a courtesy call- we were the last cachers able to log as column now full. Fabulous idea!
the hardest part was getting there, made the mistake of not looking at the map and riding there with gps. So after a couple of ups and downs, I could hear the cache calling above my puffing. Easy find . thnx
Awesome cache. Had to go twice, the first time left me puzzled. But went back today, knowing exactly what to look for after thinking about it for the past week or so. The log is getting a bit full but other wise it is great. TFTC.
Didn't matter that it was pitch black, knew exactly what to look for and where to find it. Caching in wonderland has its advantages.

Great views and this was a great find at the end of a good day of geocaching.
One of many finds on our first full day in Nelson. Great views in this area on a lovely day. Thanks for bringing us up here. Not sure what we were looking for there were LOL when found nice one!
Great cache. Not as shocking as some of the logs lead you to believe. In fact, not shocking at all. Liked the clue.
On a roll today while Miss NAVFAM is visiting a kitten nearby.

Very clever! Don't generally like approaching these devises! Thought the name was very appropriate.
This SHOCKER celebrated my 1000 cache finds on Anzac Day. You may have out witted me on your N.I one of this type which I visited 3 times before I had it sorted. But that shocker was more complex than this one. Had this one sorted before arrival. Thanks Cam
Hi Bald Ed
Sorry mate, you knew what the hide would be before arriving at GZ....as you have done my other ones,,,,you could of walked away....but you went for the "Number".... well done.

I can't say that I approve of the placement. (Go contact the authorities to learn of the dangers associated with these items or ask those hospitalised Auckland children who were badly burned when innocently walking along a footpath about their experiences)
Lovely view, though I forgot to enjoy the sunset! First cache of this style for me. Brilliant!
What a bold hide! ... And it looks authentic too. We had a sneaky feeling what and where it would be, so it was a quick find as we've found something similar like this before. However, this was very well crafted - enjoyed admiring the handywork. SL. TFTC.
Actually touched the cache at first but discarded it! Came back to it later and realised my error. Nice hide thanks Wonderstuff.

A quick find once we worked out what we were after.
I believe I may have seen this one elsewhere before.

2421. We have to admit – that was clever – even though we have an aversion to shocking caches!
Thanks

Well, we passed on this one the previous day, given Annie's distrust of things electrical. However, the day was miserable, PB was not up for too much walking and we needed some drive-bys. We had to venture up this way for some we'd missed yesterday, so decided to have a look. PB perused the object from a distance and quickly spotted what he thought was the likely hide in a few moments. He returned to the cachemobile to check the hint, and made the grab. Very clever! TNLN TFTC
Yes this was a shocker of a view, NO actually it is a great view of Nelson in the early hours of the morning, found cache easily TFTC TNLNSL (416)
GPs had us heading off the wrong direction, but a quick re-check soon had us at the GZ.
A fun visit to Nelson for a few sunny days with some very enjoyable caches both in location and hiding style. I don't think a compass would work in Nelson given all the magnets located about the place. Any way thanks to all the local cachers for all the local caches, please excuse the template log.
Yes we were looking right at it - gave up and went home, thought about the clue some more and remembered we'd seen it somewhere before...
No GPS needed on the second attempt!

Marvellous - positively electrifying!! You won't find any resistance from me if you keep up that standard as current practice. These kind of caches are the ones you find, sign, and walk away with a grin on your face!! And I liked the pnpur. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1303)
Nice one TWS.
Seen one of these sorts of cache before but didnt get it that time now I know what to do next time im on the shore !!

another well hidden cache. My second attempt to find this. Must not have had my caching goggles on last time!
Very clever.
Thanks
Very clever.
Thanks
Had a friend with me who picked the cache up of the ground while I was looking for it. Nice hide! I found another cache much easier once I had this idea in my head.
15:55 Excellent and very unsusual hide. Well thought out - we haven't seen one like this before. TFTC
Having found a few like this before, it was was the first and only thing I checked Cheers Gav [2023]
Had cache in hand in 5 seconds flat, seen one like this before by one of our local legends but wont say any more and ruin it for others.Nice hide all the same and well done.TFTC
Knew what we were likely to be looking for here, but it still took a moment or two to be sure to reach for it. Our pen did not work well here, but managed to leave a mark.
Mmmmmm. not sure this was here when I visited the other day. I'm surpised Mordor would go anywhere near a piece of public property like this!
Didn't sign it last time

Great cache. Can be found from top of the hill... don't have to park at the BOTTOM!! I have a sore ankle after this beauty! TFTC This was a real good one
Great idea, cool hide. found quickly had to wait for passing muggles to walk on by before I could replace it. TFTC
Neat O. 5th finder of this cache in one day!! What a shocker!! There's no cameras here ay!! Nice work, thanks.
Found while waiting for a Friday night takeaway. Mr Explorer came up with the find within seconds - in part due to a clue that BuzzTasman gave him - even though Buzz hasn't actually found the cache yet. Hey Mr Bee you haven't logged your DNF either mate. Mrs Explorer swears that the cache was not there when she first looked which might also explain Buzz Tasman not finding it. Weird things are going on with this cache!!! TFTC
Nice One!!!!!!!!!Some muggle (we think we know the reason why), moved the cache and thus caused considerable confusion and ?????'s. After a quick check with Mrs. B., went back, made the find and put the cache back in its original location. That is enough said, no spoilers!! Neat idea. Thanks

Mrs Explorer and the Little Explorers went out to look for this one. However the Little Misses would not let me touch anything near GZ!!!
FTF Thanks to Mrs Explorer. We met her at Octopus tree. She had just had a dnf at this one and we were on our way home tired and hungry after 13 caches for the day. At the thought of an FTF Ms M perked up considerably and away we backtracked. And did we have a laugh when we found it. Great cache thanks very much.
