Climbed down spikes from Pillbox to GZ (GPS may not have been very accurate at base of cliff and under overhanging ledge). Looked in several horizontal crevices but found nothing. Waves on rising tide were beginning to crash up onto rock shelf. Time to admit defeat and return another day!
9/12/14. 2:56 PM. After finding "Coordinating Coordinate's" to the south, this was my next target, and my second attempt here. Just as I said I would do last time, I brought a milk crate, and walked the 1.2 km from the South Maroubra car park with it. This time I took the lower route, but with low tide still another couple of hours away, this track was no less extreme; made harder so by rock hopping with a milk crate and having to time a couple of sprints when the waves were calmer.
When I got to GZ, I searched where I had looked last time, the very spot in artemidorus1's log photo. At the vertical crack, the ground wasn't very flat to put the milk crate, but at the distance and direction indicated in the hint, the ground was much better, so I could get up for a better look. Up on my box, I still wasn't quite tall enough, but much better. I used my phone to film in the cracks. It's not there.
I left the milk crate there for next time (wonder if it will stay there?). This one has to go on the watch-list now. I returned the way I came (easier going without the crate) and then drove up to UNSW for one more cache, "All things English".

It was calm when I left work in Randwick, but the expected southerly change started to come in as I parked my bike at South Maroubra. As I walked along the clifftop I noted that at least the tide was low. Apart from a lone man sitting on the cliff edge on the other side of the pillbox, I had the place to myself as I arrived. The spikes were soon found and I found myself being whipped by the strengthening wind at the bottom of the cliff. Big white plumes of spray were being thrown up just below me as seas from the south were just starting to set in. Around the cliff I walked to guess at GZ (my phone gps wasn't getting enough signal to drop my error radius below 30m), still wearing my cleated shoes and helmet. After a little back and forth, I found the wall suggested by the satellite photo and found the features suggested by the hint (see spoiler photo), or at least I think I did. I was just tall enough to look into most of the potential hide sites, and had to do chin ups to see the remainder. No cache to be seen or felt. "Crash" went a large swell and I turned to see a column of spray towering above. Time to go. Back at the top of the cliff, I checked the position of GZ again by gps and became even more convinced that I had been at the right spot. Oh well, off to Mt Steel.
Could I trouble the CO or a local who has found the cache before to check that it is still there?
Beautiful location. At low tide you can make your way there quite easily along the rocks at the waterline from Malabar Beach. You'll pass two very rusted ship parts (possibly from the wrecks) lodged in the rocks.
24/06/14. 1:11 PM. One more for the day, and since I was on the east side and have had this one in my sights for some time, wanted to give it a go. Maps app wanted me to park in the Rifle Range, so I ignored that and went to South Maroubra beach to take the easier option. Followed the narrow cliff top path, seeing a sea eagle on the way, and below him a couple of scuba divers that had just come up near their buoy.
I didn't see the pillbox until I was almost on top of it, and then took a long time to find the way down via the pins. Eventually did so, and got to GZ. From here, no amount of hopping or standing on rocks would get me into place to spot it; reckon I'll come back another day with a milk crate or two.

Second attempt with nothing but waves, sun and whales... I guess it wasn't all that bad! Argh! Next person to find... Give us some tip privately!!!!
Four and a half years ago I came down the spikes for a dnf, this time I walked in across the rocks at low tide.
Getting to GZ was easy, prying out the container was a different story! I'm not short, but the more I tried to winkle it out, the more it wanted to stay put. I eventually had to find some rocks to stack up for a better level of access, finally success!! Thanks....

Headed out with my partner (cold pizza) on a warm sunday afternoon to tackle this cache again. Timed it so that we approached at low tide, which kept our feet dry for the most part. Lots of people fishing along the shoreline and some people fairly close to GZ too! With some boost-up help from my caching companion (and avoiding the crab that had taken up residence in the southern portion of the crevice), we soon had CIH! Glad to come back to find this one!! TFTC, this gets a favourite point from me ^_^
Fortunately, waves weren't as big as last time I came so I had more time to search. Such a small box in this massive cliff but I've found it !!! Thank you very much for making me discovering this place.
Going from the southern end of Maroubra beach I initially took the upper path then about half way to gz I crossed down and continued on the lower level rock hopping towards gz. Reached 'the Void' - no plank there but it was not too hard to get over it with help of several steel rods.
After getting to gz I used the hint and searched the wall in front of me. Eventually my fingertips touched something what felt differently and I realised it was the container but very deep inside (possibly winds pushed it deeper). It took a little while to finally get the container out. Yay! Returned the container not too deep and more visible (well, if you have my hight )
Thanks The Ozkateers for a great little adventure!

After a morning appointment at Randwick, I decided to come give this cache a go. Didn't check tide times before heading over, but luckily for me it was low enough to not be a problem. The waves at GZ were reasonably big (with a lot of sea-spray), but nothing in comparison to what I've now seen in some of the previous photos!! I felt along a reasonable portion of the horizontal crevice, but without any visual confirmation it was hard to know whether I simply needed a longer arm to reach into some areas. All up though I really enjoyed coming out here today, and will definitely be back with a partner ...then we can take turns giving the other person a boost-up to look!!
I wondered off with my friends while we were having a day at maroubra ,had a feeling this would be an interesting 1! So when we got to were that little hut was, my friends stop cause they were chicken shit lol, so I ventured off by myself found it after about 20 minutes of searching , hidden well! My cellular kept dropping in and out on my iphone , but I got it didn't bring a pen, realised I didn't have one when I got to 100 metres near , didn't want to track back
What a great cache to finish our holiday in Australia. We spent couple of hours on Maroubra beach and decided to go for a walk. I did not read the description properly and with all of us chatting we ended up with the cache somewhere beneath us. Nearby we quickly found shortcut down where 2 muggles were watching the waves. Luckily they did not stay long and we could start searching. Soon we had the cache in our hands.
Thank you for a cache in this great location.

Third time back to the spot, but only my second time looking for the cache. I didn't even really have to look for it, either! Just decided to take a glance before I left and lone behold - I found it! Thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot. Really makes you question the existence of a Creator when you see something that magnificent. TFTC!
Second attempt after having to abandon the mission last time - got too close to the shooting range...
This time our party of five approached GZ from Sth Maroubra. We rocked hopped along merrily until passing fishermen warned us that the bridge (plank of wood) to dead man's gulch was missing. At about 90m from GZ we stared and mulled at the gap and was all about to give up until we can return with a plank of wood. Somehow (probably against better judgement) I decided it was ok to cross... poor geobeau had to come after me but we soon realised that reinforcement was needed when we left the phone and gps on the other side and then it's skyeho and raindoctor to the rescue! Major props to geobeau and raindoctor for teaming up to get the cache because skyeho and I were not quite at the right height.
This one definitely tested our mettle and a definite favourite point from me because of the teamwork (nawww) - what an adventure!

Well, geoparents were pretty useless at boosting me up. Too short me!!! It was cold so geodad was a relatively decent shield...geokid does need to grow taller

Well our first attempt was a failure due to my insistence of taking the scenic route from Malabar. Bit of a fail. This time we attacked from the Maroubra using the low road. Skyeho made sure it was low tide and with misspalot, her geobeau and a muggle called shiny we set off. Can't say I felt too comfortable on the rocks with the waves crashing below so by the time we got to the missing bridge I was ready to go back. But misspalot was having none of it and over she went with geobeau following closely behind. So it was up to me, skyeho and shiny to contemplate life while they searched. But they'd left all their gizmos behind! So skyeho decided it was time to relay the cache hint to the search party and over she went. Left with shiny I decided I was too invaluable to be left behind and it was my turn. Soon it was the four of us searching away. It took some pondering, looking from another angle, and then misspalot geobeau's long arms to extract the cache. And the feeling? ELATION.
Best day ever.
Best day ever.
Checked to see if there was a cache nearby on my second visit to Maroubra Beach and discovered this bad boy. Honestly in awe of the view at GZ and all the way there, as well. Absolutely beautiful spot. Didn't make the find, though. Short on time, I guess? I gave it a pretty thorough look. I will definitely be back.
An epic adventure surrounds this cache. I wouldn't attempt this unless you have some good mates with you. Found with syslox and pirry. Tftc.
We parked at the firing range and found a path through to the cliff edge. After walking along the cliff's edge until we were close to the GZ, we realised we were above the cache. So we backtracked until we could find a safe path down to the rocks, walked along them back to GZ. There was a plank bridge at one point which was fun.
After finding the cache, we took a rope ladder back up to the top of the cliff. Heaps of fun!

What a cache and what an adventure to reach it. Probably should have read the cache description first
Parked in firing range and had to semi bush bash to get onto the walking path. After reaching the walking path we headed toward the GZ. Once there we realised that it was below us and didn't notice the rope ladder and steel rods as described in the description. We would have probably been to chicken to go down that way anyways so we headed back along to path till we found a safe way to get down onto the rocks. Once there it was smooth saling to the GZ and the eagle eye of DiOnlyBob found the cache quickly. Thanks for bring us to this lovely part of Sydney that i had never known about.

About a week ago I hit the 399 mark (caches found) and decided to look for a memorable cache for the 400 milestone. A few D4 and D5 caches came to mind but then in a chance meeting with Holyman54 yesterday he reminded me of Dead Man's Gulch.
What happened next was perfect. When I got home, Mrs Bell said she was taking the Angels to visit someone in Hospital the next morning.. I'd have some free time!
I checked the weather and it all looked good for the early morning.
Arrived at the car park at South Maroubra at 7:30am and started the hike around to GZ. The surf was pretty flat (about 1ft). Perfect.
I hiked my way along the bush track for I suppose 1km(the high track). Saw 2 fishermen about 250m from GZ. Kept going till I got to the pillarbox. Then found the steel rods. They looked pretty strong so I made my way down. The last two steps were a makeshift rope ladder that was extremely crooked but good enough.
Using the clue I found the cache by standing back. The sea wasn't so small out here on the point. Just as I stood back a wave crashed on the rocks and sprayed me. I took cover for a few secs then came back out and made the grab. Signed log and left a small pencil.
Getting out was a bit hard but I straightened out the rope a bit and managed to climb back out the way I came in.
Thanks Ozkateer for a memorable cache for my milestone.

Thanks to CO for responding to my previous log and resurrecting the cache so promptly.
And an honorary mention to Holyman54 for his encouragement and confirming that I was looking in the correct place on my previous attempt.
Had to wait for a time when low tide didn't conflict with work and is not at night. Finally got the chance for a second attempt today.
Decided to stick to the same strategy as before - approach via the 'high road' and leave by the 'low road'.
... and now that I'm an old hand at this ... getting to GZ was reasonably uneventful.
Grabbing the cache was a bit of an effort but obviously the work-out I received at my last attempt beefed me up to it, culminating in a round trip of 40 minutes.
Registering an FP for an exhiliarating cache - simply awesome! I enjoyed it very much, TWICE!

Paced the log today, it took me almost 30min. Being a fantastic day, first I had to wait for all the fishermuggles to go away, then I lost it in the hole and then I could not find a place out of muggle eyesight.
It is difficult to place so please take care when you have found it to put it back carefully.
Who will be first to the new log? The seas are very calm over the next few days. It was beautiful out there this morning. Almost like Pitt Street.

Wow LR what a fantastic account of your experience trying to land the DMG. Shame you had to log a no find.
I will have look over the weekend if I get a chance.
Cheers

Having read the descriptions many times, finally decided to attempt this awesome-sounding cache.
I decided to take the 'high road' per recommendation. Mistook another pillbox for THE pillbox which caused a bit of a detour.
Finally found the steel spikes and started descending. Half way down the second tier, I noticed the overhang at the bottom and scurried straight back up to the top! Having an exercise diet consisting only of cycling - too bottom-heavy and no upper-body strength, didn't think I could get back up.
Not having internet access, decided to call The_Doon to check on the tide condition, with the plan of escaping by the 'low road'.
On hearing that high tide wasn't for a few hours, took the plunge and dropped to the ledge. Looking back at the overhang, there really would have been no way I could've made it back on to the steel spikes.
Thought I found the location and it matched the description in the hint.
But, sadly, no cache.
Spent a long time doing chin-ups to have closer looks but still no joy. Meanwhile, the gale force wind and showers predicted arrived. Not wanting to risk needing to traverse slippery rock platforms in the rain, decided to abandon.
But I will be back - with climbing ropes and harness if needs be!!!
Postscript: Returned via the 'low road' without incidence even though the tide was turning fast. Upon return to 'civilisation', PAF (well, emailed anyway) who confirmed I was at the correct location. Hopefully, it hasn't been muggled. Wouldn't have thought this place would have many.

Judging by the photo LR sent me to confirm whether or not its there Id have to say its gone again

WOW! What a hell of a cache! I think it might deserve an extra half star on the terrain rating. But I got there! First finding the path in was hard enough. I was expecting a well marked track but what I found narrowed down to nothing and I had to backtrack twice. Eventually found the right way in, and worked out what the pillbox was. Then - you expect me to climb THAT?! But I did! Going down's not so hard but getting back up is a killer. There were some rock fishermen even lower down than the cache but I wasn't game. I was shaking even as I managed to grab the cache from its hole. Several waves smashed against the rocks, wetting the whole area. This is NOT a cache for the fainthearted. Getting back up the steel rods - well I'm glad they were secure. Still managed to get grazes on every part of my body. After that the walk back was fairly uneventful. This is the most memorable cache I've been on for a while. Thanks for the adrenalin rush before work!
Observed this cache regularly. Wasn't sure if the Cache is active or not. So today after reading the maintenance information I jumped into the car and drove to Maroubra. Arriving in Maroubra the sky cleared up and I the sun came out. At GZ I had the cache straight in my hand and signed the brand new dry logbook. For the location one favorite point. TFTC
New container and new log - go for it all.
Thanks Holyman for the heads up.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Been away on hols last few weeks. Hope to get out there later this week and make sure all is in order.
This one needs maintenance on a run along this coast this afternoon I could not locate the container in the same place I had found it previously on my own and with cybermew3...
CO check please
CO check please
Found this cache on a wet and windy afternoon, I really enjoyed climbing along the rocks from malabar and started to get worried as I got closer to GZ... Maybe I should have brought a caching partner... However I pressed on running along the cliff line and arrived at GZ. I got quite wet while searching the area and after 10minutes and some confused stares by fisherman close by I had the cache in hand, log signed and cache securely back in place. Cache is in perfect condition. The zip lock bag has kept it warm and dry
I loved this cache!!
Thank You Ozkateers

loved the location, searched all around, three times, even managed to get back up the way i got down... but alas no cache. Betty Bou with Amanonirvan
[We searched, after figuring out the hint, but to no avail.
Might go back now that we've seen the photo clue.]
Walked in from Malabar along the cliffs this time.
Cache was spotted easily and was right where we were looking last visit.
First to write on the new log!!!!

When someone listed as a find I though it was all ok. Did some maintainance and all is well and good to go again. Sorry guys for the inconvenience. Enjoy.
Great cache. Didn't have a pen so had to grind up a rock with some water to make our mark - hope we didn't leave too much of a mess. TFTC!
Great location, easy descent down the fisho's ladder.
Once at GZ we spent 30mins hanging off the wall looking, prodding, feeling but nothing. After burning out the muscles in the arms we then boosted each other up, still nothing.
Detailed inspection by searching along the place described in the hint methodically with Kaf sitting on my shoulders would have us think it's come loose from its hidey hole.
Might be worth a check by the owner.

We came along the beach at low tide, but alas couldn't find it. We really enjoyed the walk and never knew this spot was there!
Really great cache!
When I was retrieving the cache, I was splashed by a very high wave so I had to hold the cliff and pray. I was all wet, but I survived [xx(] .. As I forget a pen, I teared a very little hole into the paper and get a picture of the cache.

This is a pretty awesome spot. I've lived in the area for 8 years and never really knew about this location. Found cache easily after establishing an easier route to the obvious one.
Great location! The climb is not for a short body.. It was a great weather and flat ocean.

Saw that this one was back up and we knew we needed this one under the belt. Headed out on a thursday afternoon. No need for a GPS, found those dodgy "aids" and headed down to the rocks. I knew where it was, i am just glad i am climber. Easy to find the little cache, but what a bugger to get it. I wish i had a couple of extra centremeters on my arm. Found two nice hand holds then a great heel hook, pulled up and locked off. Proded, pulled, pushed, pulled, proded, tickled, grabed, twisted then rested, then again twisted, proded ,pulled and bingo out she came. SLLNTN
Thanks for the Hunt!!!

Maintenance complete. Container and log replaced. There must have been a huge storm but all is in place now, enjoy!

An day of adventure called me, the clouds where covering the sky and rain loomed, was this a sign of destruction to come. We found a shortcut across the fireing range, and soon found ourselves a the edge of a cliff. I looked down and saw them, some would say this was a ladder, there appeared to be aids, things stuck in the rock to asssist you getting them done. With a hardy laugh i hurled myself towards the ground. Ok down Check (getting up another story). Found GZ but no sign of cache. Continued search for 20min and came up empty. Then i spied something sitting on a rock. Oh an EMPTY film canister. Was this the cache, destroyed?????? I left the scene and proceded to shimy and pull myself up the spikes to saftey.
Maybe a check to see if cache is still there??

With Lost Gecko, searched for 30 minutes, unable to locate. Found an empty film cannister, was this it?
Went down the spikes of fear, and on the final drop I scrapped my bulging abdominal muscl...I mean my bulging gut on a rock, ouch!
I searched, poked, prodded and felt, but the cache eluded me today.
The clues seemed to add up, just not the normal 2+2=4, more like 2+2=5.
I retreated along the low road as the tide was out, certainly not a cache to attempt at high tide, with a big swell!

We choose not to do many micros, however this had come highly recommended by people whose judgement we trusted. Thus on this gloriously warm sunny autumn day we left the vehicle in the sparsely populated car park – being a weekday – and headed off along the cliff top path. It’s a short and pleasant stroll to the cache locale with excellent views out o’er the briny billows all the way. During our stroll we observed a half a dozen or so fisher folk on the rocks below periodically having to dodge the odd wave coming over the rocks.
Soon we were at the cache locale with it’s lovely views of the ocean from the high rock platforms. Down the spikes we ventured and thence around to the search area. The tide was only an hour or two into the run in and the swell not much to speak off meaning no waves were reaching us. The clue made for an easy find and yes there’s not much scope for anything else but a micro in this immediate area. Lovely spot.

Great spot. Found in company with M + P. Didn't have a working pen with us, so we improvised to sign the log. TFTC.
I'd had 3 DNFs in a row prior to turning up here this evening so figured I just had to have some luck going my way. With the cold change whipping up the seas the high road seemed the sensible option, hiking in from Maroubra Beach.
I found the bunker, and then took the steel spike challenge. After convincing my GPS to cooperate in the limited coverage below the cache soon appeared. The hardest bit was trying to unpack it in the high winds without letting anything go.
Log signed, cache secured, and then back to High and Dry to see if the bikini model had moved on from GZ (but that's another story).
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache. So pleasant to get away from the crowds on the cliff walk!
best wishes,
Wal

I´ve just moved to Maroubra, and today was a good day for a nice walk around. Find this cache was an adventure and without my friends I wouldn´t find it. They helped me climb the cliffs and I feld safer with them next to the big waves. I´ve dried the paper with logs on the sun, but I think it will became wet soon again. Maybe waterproof case needed. Perfect idea to place the cache. Thanks a lot I wouldn´t visit this great place if there isn´t the cache!
Just thought I'd add a note that I've uploaded some video from the cache location (no spoiliers ) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19IkaFlr-RQ
Alpini suggested I should add this to my must do cache list and having completed it, I recommend the same to others.
The walk to GZ is quite easily although a lack of tree cover would make it hot work in the summer. The tricky part was climbing down the 'steps'. I managed all bar the last one with ease - the end result grazed knuckles and elbow. Ouch.
Once I reached the correct elevation I was greeted by fisherman on one side and an angry sea on the other. Hmmmm. Is this a good idea? With one eye on the sea and the other searching for a cache I eventually found it. It was hard to get out, but after making it there, I wasn't letting that beat me.
Once the cache was signed I filmed some video and then climbed back up. Excellent cache. 5 stars.

Found it easily today with a friend. Was there a few days ago but didn't know that there was a cache...
A little gemstone of cache.
Although I do not love micros that much, I think this is the way to make good use of them and I also admit there is probably no good hiding hole for a bigger one... as there are fishing muggles around all day and any bigger cache might need replacement every week....
We took the "low tide close to the sea" way and that was really good although on the way back the incoming tide made it slightly more difficult.
Ah and who ever tries to put that cache back in its hole should never do it with the lid to the back of the hole.
The cache was jammed in there and it took us 30 minutes roughly getting it out. During that time the biggest waves hit the rocks below, but luckily the gust did not reached us.

Under clear blue skies Alpini and I approached Gz. It was a fairly easy rock hop along the ledge but then again it was low tide. Finding GZ we spied the cache but how to retrieve it? It was jammed in tight and no matter how hard we tried it wouldn't budge. Alpini finally managed to pry off the lid and it slid out. As all this happened the tide was rising and a few large waves caused the spray to come very close to us but we remained dry. Quickly signing the log we made a hasty retreat, stopping long enough to try the spikes exit. This is definitely not easy. It was wetter on our return along the rock platform and 2 hours after low tide is definitely the upper limit. This was a most excellent caching adventure. Beautiful weather and good company.

Found it easily, had a little trouble getting it out of the crack though! Nice cache, been there a lot but never new there was a cache there until a couple days ago. Thanks for the cache
We couldn't decide if we were going to hang out on the beach or attempt this geocache. We went for the cache, and it proved to be the right choice.
We tried the "easier" way of getting to it. There is about a 2m drop from the steel rods to the lower ledges and definitely requires a strong and agile person to get down them. From there we were quick to locate the cache, but it was not so quick retrieving it. Took about 5 minutes of April on my shoulders prying at it, but we were determined and finally got it. Signed and replaced with less difficulty to retrieve. Didn't know how we were to get back up the steel rods and went the "harder" way back. It proved to be the easier path for us, although we would not attempt on a day with strong waves. Also, wear shoes with good traction, as our sandals were definitely not the best.
The spectacular views and overcoming the difficulties we faced getting there, we agree this is the best cache we've found to date. Thanks again and Happy Easter!

This cache has to be the highlight of my short caching career, Bushy2233 said it all, but this has definitely been, the most dangerous, the wettest, the funnest, and the ONLY cache where I have had a Police escort whilst retrieving the cache(we can only think, the Police were keeping an eye on us as the swell was huge at this point of the day, thanks) I'm sure they thought we were rather stupid! But, I guess we do these things for a find.
Thanks to Bushy2233, Taje00 and the Police for making this cache such a great find!
The cache itself is very well jammed back in the rock face, so be sure to have a good look.
Thanks to The Ozkateers for showing us this place..

6th find for the day, On the walk out on the track we were saying to ourselves why would you put a micro out here but we were surprised the combination of bigish swell and the police chopper above watching us made this cache our best for the day. We stood at the base of the climb and watched the waves smash against the cliff and decided to go around the cliff face and have a look around Frippy eventually found the micro wedged in the cliff face and we were excited we didn't climb down for nothing. While waiting for the log to dry we took a few photos and had some morning tea. Once the log had dried we signed the log and I put an evil micro pin in the cache, Bushy2233 had a spare snap lock bag so we place the log inside. Now came the tricky part Frippy had to wedge the cache back in the cliff face while watching the waves. I stayed back and watched Frippy and Bushy2233 go back to GZ and replace the cache, next minute the biggest wave of the day came and soaked them both and even went above the cliff and drain back down on the cliff where we had our back packs at the base of the climb. So all in all a great micro cache. Signed the log and left the pin. TFTC
Well this was an interesting time at GZ the surf was a little larger than expected as the waves were crashing over the top of the cliff face & as we watched the sets roll in we had decided to take a closer look, so down we went left our stuff at the bottom of the climb and whatched the waves closley as we scrambeled under the rock ledge in search of the cache trying not to get wet. After ten or so mins Frippy had the cache & we where back over with our stuff, the log was very wet so we sat around got some great photos & waited for the log to dry out then came along some guests in a chopper wondering what these 3 idiots were doing out here as they sat 20m above they left then they came back again we waved and they left again after about an hour & morning tea over we packed the cache up in a glad bag with a evil micro pin all dry too hopfully it stays that way Frippy and i made it out to GZ again while Taje00 took some photos of us we put the cache in its place nice and tight, then in rolled the biggest wave of them all & drenched us both we got back out and had a good laugh about the whole thing then came the chopper again sitting above we grabed our wet stuff and climb out waving goodbye to the Police i guess they just wanted to make sure everything was ok i say thankyou to them. All in all this has been one of the best caches i have done great fun & if you do atempt this cache be safe thanks heaps to The Ozkateers.....bushy2233

It was an early start / early finish at work today for Mr H. Mrs H had also dropped off the kids at their new school for the first time since moving here (3 months it's been!), woohoo at last! And then we see this new cache published just 1.5 miles (sorry, 2.4 kilometres) from our home co-ordinates. Rude not to, so off we set along the easier of the two routes suggested. Gorgeous day & the views were stunning. Plenty of rock fishermen around too but no-one in sight of the cache.
As we approached GZ, getting down wasn't as easy as it could be due to inappropriate footwear but it was an easy enough climb.
Unfortunately we found the cache floating in a small rock pool next to the item in the clue. The area was very wet and had obviously recently taken a battering from the waves. With high tide due this afternoon we decided to replace the cache in a much drier spot (hope you don't mind). It's very nearby but higher up (about head height when stood on the ledge).
Remember reading about this spot a few weeks ago as there's an underwater cave here with a colony of Grey Nurse Sharks living there. Lovely place.
Thanks,
The Hancock Clan
