Came from behind and crawled under lantana but poked around but didnt find it. Found a great view though. TFTC
Out for an afternoon caching run. After availing ourselves of some local treats, we made our way over towards GZ. Not liking the overgrown nature around GZ, we decided on approaching from behind...easy going till the last 5m. In the end the direct approach is still a viable option despite all the lantana. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and returned it as found. Thanks for the cache stubby holder.
The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling, Hidden Creatures Geocoin TB, teamMerlin's Football, Merlin's Steed

No luck here today. Hopefully just one of those days when I just can’t see for looking
Nyssaflutterby had mentioned wanting to stop at a pie shop somewhere but I hadn’t realised it was up here. What a great spot!
We purchased some pies (best pie I’ve ever had!) then wandered over to the cache.
The cache was spotted quickly and we both ended up covered in cobblers pegs afterwards!

On my last visit to this area I had stumbled upon this awesome pie shop. It was very quickly added to my favourite food stops list. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to hunt for the cache that day.
Knowing I would be in the area again I made sure to make a detour with wombles today. Yummmm! More tasty treats for my belly and this time another smiley for my map. You can keep your cobblers pegs though I was still picking them out of my hair and clothes when we arrived home.

What an awesome place for a geocache the top of the hills on the old motorway or Pacific Highway stop for a coffee and enjoy the views. If it wasn’t for Geocaching . We wouldn’t have even known about this, but thanks for bringing us up here.
We made a new makeshift track with the planks of wood that were on the ground as the Latana had overgrown everything. I made it way at Little tracking a lot easier.
A favourite point from us.

Coffee and a chicken pie as a caching break while in the area, absolutely gorgeous views from the dinner table, thanks for the hide.
I did clear some lantana to allow passage to GZ too

OCW frazeydaze who was after a cache to help her qualify for an "Old School NSW Challenge" cache. To appease my caching appetite frasey agreed to add some more caches to the days activities which included this cache where I left here to tackle the lantana while I watched the free below. TFTC
Out caching with oldmorty finding caches in the area.
I went for the cache while oldmorty went for the coffees.
I thought I knew what I was looking for, and I was correct.
Thanks to stubby holder for placing the cache.

Enjoyed a nice post run coffee with my brother before braving the thorns to find this cache (which he had found 9 years ago!). TFTC
We have often stopped at this venue in the past but lately we have been flying up and down the M1 so it's been a while between stops.
The cache gave us the impetus to stop by today and grab a fruit pie with icecream for dessert.
Once we made the decision to brave the lantana we made a quick find at GZ, mostly thanks to a lucky decision.

Last stop for day after finding several caches along the Pacific Highway and walking a section of the Great North Walk.
I've been here once before, 10 years ago, when I'd only been caching for one month. I couldn't find the cache, having never seen anything like this hide but I could see the F3 which is impossible these days.
After the recent torrential rain the drive in here is extremely potholey.
Parked not far from GZ.
Boy does it smell bad here - might be some broken pipes??
Ah lantana and farmers 'un'friends - not my favourites.
With the prediction of rain this morning I had wet weather gear in the geomobile so I put that on. It did keep the mozzies away.
Found the cache, didn't get a pie, got a leech instead.
Fortunately I spotted it before it took hold!!

I stopped for lunch at Pie in the Sky, and found this cache easily while I was there (despite the futility of the lantana and farmers friends). TFTC stubby holder
Our last find for the day, after caching between Mooney Mooney and Cowan on a good day of caching, despite the occasional shower of rain. Cache found, log signed, cache replaced and as we were saying our farewells, a crash of thunder and the first drops of the oncoming storm began to fall. Perfect timing. TFTC
Found with Lee737, Mighty Minions, barefootjeff and Banj5150
Found today after getting the Mighty Minions 4000th find, we all headed off as a group to find some nearby caches, this was our last one of the day as the bad weather was encroaching on us. Very new take on a cache I'm very familiar with...

We were in the Mooney Mooney, Brooklyn and Cowan area celebrating Mighty Minions' 4000th find with some great caches, had a day in the rain and then humidity, nabbing 11 finds and having an all round great time.
Last cache for the day, just in time too, as the thunder increased in the south. A quick find - these are always fun. As we left it started some heavy rain.... TFTC!

I was out today wih Mighty Minions, Team 737 and Banj5150 doing some caches around the Hawkesbury. Afterwards we headed up the hill in search of some GCA trigs and, as the final stop, arrived at this one. I was a bit surprised that I hadn't found it previously but I guess it had escaped my notice whenever I'd been passing by, so anyway it was a good opportunity to correct that oversight. We timed it well at any rate because just as we were about to depart for home the thunder started rumbling and the storm hit.
Many thanks for the hide.

Found it in its clever little spot. Pie in the sky was closed so there were no muggles around. TFTC!
A quick park and grab cache after doing some other nearby caches. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Up to pie in the sky for lunch with MrSmith00, and another attempt at this one.
Once we made our way into the thicket, a fairly quick find was made.

Tftc, grabbing a pie with Azzepious with a plan to get this cache to help with his streak. We wore appropriate pants for the bush bash and made the find.
#6766 I'm in Sydney for a belated Xmas get-togther with some family. After spending most of the last few days eating and floating in a pool as the temperature soared, today was a drizzly but pleasant at 20C, so it was just perfect for geocaching.
Grabbed this one of the way back from Brooklyn. Interesting spot and I liked the way this cache was constructed. The log was a bit of a mess, so I added a new waterproof sheet.

Ocw the Bebes. Quick stop. Quite Part of the car park so managed a stealthy find. Getting quite overgrown for access but managed to get through making a few farmers friends on the way!! Tftc

One last cache on the way home.
Nice view from the carpark, PDG bush bashed a little to get CIH.
I think this is the first time I’ve been so close to a pie without eating eating one !

Ducked in for lunch with MrSmith00, planning a quick cache as well.
Unfortunately the approach to the GZ has become quite overgrown.
Neither of us had dressed in anticipation of bush-bashing, so we decided to leave it for another day.
I would strongly recommend a machete or a whipper-snipper for the next finder.

Found with My Dad (DJANT) and my Brothers (dart16 & Jedi Anakin) I have my own account now and am trying to catch up to the boys Thanks for the cache.
Lousy weather meant an average pic of the view but at least it was an empty car park. TFTC!
Still winding my way south and this was the next stop. After reading logs about his busy this site was it was closed and do a single unoccupied car was parked nearby - no idea where they were though! Walked straight I
Yi the cache as it was the second of this type today, found a space on a yellow scrap of paper and signed my name.

In what feels like it might be my last geocache in awhile I though I would come and see the view and try the pies. Cache was a simple find but I underestimated how popular this place would be be.
So we gave the pies a miss.
Will try again when the world is not so crazy!
Thanks for the cache.

Got here just before closing time because of so much busyness today they had no fruit pies left. We’re here from Texas visiting family while this coronavirus madness is going on. Just spent four days in Avoca beach now on our way back to Acacia Gardens where we are staying with family. We were excited to see the Ducati Club group. We are part of the CMA ( Christian motorcycle Association) back home. We have reservations to rent a bike for 4-5 days beginning in April if God willing. Nicely done on keeping a cache in good shape. SL- BCF and DCV in green on one of the yellow scraps of paper. T- picture of Turkey that came out of the cache area. L- toward our temp Home away from our Permaculture Homestead till things calm down for us to leave. TFTC Peace with Gods Blessings
Nice hide. Hiltop and I spotted the last guy looking for it and didn't realise at first because we weren't out caching today. TFTC

Today I wanted to visit the Muogamarra Nature Reserve which is only open to the public for 6 weekends each year. It was busy so we had to park the car next to Pie in the Sky and then walk about 3 km to the Visitor Center.
After the hike, we hitchhiked back to the entrance of the Nature Reserve, saving us another 3km walk along a gravel track.
Before driving back, we took a break and enjoyed drinks at the busy Pie in the Sky, followed by this small cache. All was good, although the log roll is now a collection of loose papers.

Hey found this on our trip from the US...dipped a TB I’m taking with me on the trip because I feel bad I’ve had it for so long.
Everything that has been said it true:
- coords are a bit off, you don’t need to go that far,
- excellent hiding spot and previous experience with this type of cache helps,
- bring a pen
- log book could definitely be better
- the pies are amazing

Wonderful day for a ride today! Bit cool but at least it’s not wet. Nice quick find. Great hide, good construction and log book was nice and dry for me. TFTCSL
Stoped by after a football game for some lunch at Pie in the Sky had previously tried to find this one with no luck. This time it was a quick find, watch out for the prickles! Attached a photo of the logbook as we forgot to bring a pen.

Seen this kinda cashe before. Nice hide though though you may become a friend of the farmers
I came on a day the pie shop was closed, so it didn't matter that it took me longer than it should have to find this. I've made finds like this one before which is why I was embarrassed I didn't check that spot sooner. A nicely built container, but as a previous poster said, the log is a bit of mess; I'm not sure it's really in chronological order anymore. TFTC.
Very clever hide! First find of this kind. Loved PITS for years. My happy place. TFTC.
Had some difficullty locating it until I looked up and found a pie in the sky. Not really, finding it was easy as pie...in the sky love the quality of this one, it's made to last.
Would have given this a fp if it had been maintained better as I like how this cache was put together.
Needs new log asap. However log is dry. I've sorted log and put spare pieces together. Full log pages are seperate and rolled together.
Container good condition.

Nice hide! Even managed to find it with lots of people around (and not get caught!) first of hopefully many for the day with mbyrne26!
Out for a drive to Newcastle today with cargo147 and thought we’d grab some caches along the way! Absolute cracker of a day!! Nice hide SL returned to hiding place. TFTC!
Today we headed northward, first stopping at Berowra to revisit a couple of previous DNF's, then collecting a few caches along the old Pacific Highway, and finishing with a Multi-cache at Brooklyn. This was the 5th of 7 finds for the day.
Continuing along the old Pacific highway this one was to be our next stop. Parked the geomobile near the famous pie shop, then headed over to GZ for a quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC stubby holder.

Down around the Hawkesbury today to grab a few caches to bag the final Mary Hyde souvenir.

Area around cache has been cleared recently, made retrieval easy Had to grab a pie as well, they were great so we took some home for later. As we got home we left them on the table and sneaky dogs stole them when we weren't looking!

Took a little detour on the way up the coast this morning, stopped in here for lunch. Pies here are amazing!!! And of course, there's a geocache. Bit of rubbish dump here sadly, but not too hard to navigate around to the back corner where a typical hide was found. TFTC.
Thanks for the cache!
Been a while between finds for this one but in good Nic none the less.

Took a tourist here on the way back from the hunter. She loved an "Aussie sambo" but wasn't so enthused about the cache.
It's a little overgrown, but it can only be in one place. Tricky tricky

I hitched a ride with a muggle friend on his motorbike with training wheels, just trying to blend in with all the other bikers at this popular spot. Black cockatoos flying overhead screeched as I signed the log, luckily no other black coloured wildlife around cache. TFTC
Heading back home from a morning at Glenworth Valley, took the old highway as there were more cache opportunities than the motorway. Rain had paused briefly but left GZ quite damp poking about the long grass however a standard and likely hide was worth pursing for completion of logging duties. Despite a lot of recommendations in previous logs about the fare on offer in the nearby establishment, I still had a long drive to my next stop and needed to hit the road.
TFTC great spot to stop and refuel for more geocaching. Took us abit as it is very over grown

The Road to #2000 - a mid-summer's dream of a day filled with blood, sweat and wonderful geography. Pyobeon and I conquered the heights and the depths and came away sore yet content that we had fulfilled our mission.
Cache #1999. By this stage we were pretty knackered and even though we had got some drinks down the road it was great to stop and get a coffee here.
The F3 may have changed name since the cache was placed but the container is still good and so is the coffee.

Another geocaching adventure with EDF, picking up a bunch of caches in the Cowan - Mooney Mooney area. Some great caches and views.
I was a regular visitor here in my mis-spent youth on two wheels. I don't think I have been here for fifteen years - roughly coinciding with the time I have been married - coincidence???
This was a most welcome pit-stop. They provided very necessary caffeinated beverages, and their first-aid angel applied huge blue band-aids to me and told me I needed proper medical attention for my (Mocha Dick) injury.
A nicely constructed cache, pretty much where you might expect it.

Having to take my niece to Sydney, we decided to make our way through Pacific Hwy and grab some caches. This was the fourth on our list. Hungry, as we were, it was the perfect stop! I remember when we used to stop there when I still got my byke (miss her.. ). Things changed.. I remember the place had to close for some time, and then reopened with other owners, not sure.. After having a pie each, we went for the hunting. Quickly found and signed! Thanks stubby holder!
