I am going to be in hospital for a bit so I don't think I will be able to get out to Daylesford until end of June but I will get to this one and relocate.
I will try to find a better spot for this one and thanks to the previous finders who alerted me to the changes at this site and the concern from the railway workers that someone may get hurt here.
Bit of a scramble as they are adding more old railway stuff to the area and the cache is probably less accessible than it was originally. No pen or pencil so had to go back to the car. I know. Should always carry one. TFTC.
Geokid found this between showers. GPS was very close and a little geosense lead us with no fuss. No time to do the rest of the series. Next time. Tftc
A quick potter around the market this morning - but first stop this cache.
Here with Jeckleberryandtedd and our two muggle friends who headed off to the market while we came on the hunt. Jeckle was thoroughly distracted by her phone, so I was left to hunt for it, and it took about 5 mins to locate the little hide. A bit overgrown around here, and slightly squishy underfoot, but not a snake in sight. Thanks feathertop for the hide.

Been in Victoria for three weeks walking the Great Ocean Walk (100k) and the Goldfields Track (200k). Collected / found numerous caches along the tracks and nearby towns. Found it about 10 metres from where my GPS said it was, but good fun fossicking among the machinery. TFTC.

My GPs was pointing to a spot half way up the slope so after discounting the area at top and then midway I attempted the lower area and surprisingly managed to place my hand on the cache first place I tried
Thanks

Following an afternoon spent in the area thought we'd stop by here for a look at the station and a cache grab. We only managed to do one of those things: the cache still eludes us. Luckily the old turntable, carriages and buildings were well worth checking out, and managed to get some nice shots of the rosellas around here. Thanks anyway feathertop
Visiting Daylesford for the week end and seeing the sights through caching. This was our first find for the day as we waited for our flat tyre to be fixed. TFTC
We cringed a little when we arrived at GZ - there were so many potential hiding spots. Reasonably accurate coordinates led to a find after a few minutes of hunting. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks feathertop for the cache.
Gps on the mobile phone had no chance here so searching the area was difficult. Lots of muggles at the market but they weren't taking any notice either. Another unsuccessful search in Daylesford today
Cool box hard but we persivered and ta da there it was! spoiler alert! Go there on a Sunday.
On a cold, cold day, the four geokids and i found this. The clues in the log very helpful. Tftc!
Took about 15 minutes to find. Gps jumped around a bit. Found it after looking in the same place for the third time. Make sure you don't mind getting your knees dirty. TFTC
It was nice and quiet at GZ today due to the chilly early morning rain.
After a DNF here almost 3 years today I returned with Jacko83. While I was taking out my camera he walked straight up to GZ and found it immediately ! How did I miss that last time?
Thanks, feathertop.

Thanks, feathertop.
Arrived here early with the Pacman on a freezing cold day. Frost hung in the air, snow was lightly dropping.
Happened to bend down and just look in the right spot and found the right cache.
Thanks feathertop, beautiful area to go caching.
Cheers

Was expecting this one to be harder than the other 2 CHTR ones we did today but it was actually the quickest find. You get that sometimes when it's just in the first place you feel! Thanks.
Found it after asking the railway man. Very hard to find. Got so frustrated, definitely needed a hint. What I can say is that once your on your hands and knees don't look down look up!
That took some searching! My kids loved the playground, I mean junkyard. Great cache! Thanks.
I didn't see them either but I can see why snakes would like it...eek! Took Lil jeep left sheriff's badge. Thanks for the cache!
After a bit of a look we finally had the sneaky little thing in our hand. Thanks to my geopartner for finding it.
Down for the day with my partner showing me the town he grew up in. Tftc

Got it! Finally found it after a good look around! A good hint lead me in the right direction to where I had already looked. But not hard enough! Lucky I had pants on so my knees didn't get dirty!

Checked this one this afternoon. Cache is still there, an easy grab using your hands.
TFTC. Logging a DNF here, too many options and no hint, spent 30 minutes hunting about. Will be back though.
Hunted around for AGES! No luck will come back and hopefully get a hint from the locals
Looked for an hour and a half with three sets of eyes. Every nook and cranny was searched high and low.
Extremely frustrating

Frustrating search at this location. Even though we were looking in the right area, only found it after receiving enlightenment by the "railman"...
Searched and searched for about half an hour and despite a hint from one of the train volunteers absolutely no luck.
#1893 After celebrating Mr BGFs milestone birthday at a nearby pub and stuffing ourselves with food and liquor we then had a fun adventure in the dark trying to find this cache on the way back to our accomodation. Mrs BGF finally spotted the tricky hide after some time of searching, probably easier in daylight mind you! TFTC Feathertop.
Tftc. Great hide. One of the train Volunteer guys gave us a hint but it didnt help me. We eventually had the cache. Great hide.
Driving through Daylesford tonight after doing another couple of these CHTR I realised that I had found this one back in 2014 and hadn't logged it. thanks for the hide, from memory it took quite a while to locate.
It took us a while, but we used our good old looking skills and finally we located the treasure.
Hint - Junk Pile
Hint - Junk Pile
Coords took us to a junk pile which we searched around for way too long... Hint would have been nice. Too many places to look and just ended up annoyed

What an heritage , open air, a bit awkward to be here, so quiet...
Found the cache straight away but man, it's hot on top

Found with Snorkafest. Trying to hide from the market muggles, got plently of warning about snakes!
Edited for bug dip!!

Forgot to log this. Quick stop to locate this cache and drop off TB Sammy the plane.
A trip to the market with all the relatives meant that the grandson and i were able to slip away and seek out this one... long grass was an issue.... worried if there were snakes about, but grand sson soon had cache in hand, and log was signed.
thanks to feathertop for this one

Spent ages here and couldn't find it. Said I was 0 meters away from it when I was half way the hill (?) oh well. Will come back tomorrow
Tftc feather top. Found and logged on 25 Sept with Junior cacher Flopsybunny and only just getting around to logging. Nice spot but I'd be looking around carefully for Joe Blakes in the warmer weather. Plenty of lush weed around for them to hide in. Jimmytherat.
#712 01:49pm TFTC... I was a little concerned with snakes as it was a nice warm day, but spotted the cache and signed and got outta there before that happened
Kinda difficult due to the huge amount of hidey holes around the yard. But magnets might help
Travelling around Australia and staying a few days at Mt Franklin.
We headed into the freezing cold with a plan to complete some more local caches. We weren't sure if we should be in this area as they were working in the train sheds and we were hoping it wasn't deemed private property but the cache was located before anyone noticed us.
Boy the wind chill had it feeling like 2degrees so it wasn't particularly pleasant out and about so we cut the day short and headed back to the fire - for Mr Felix and the heater for Mrs Felix.
We did enjoying visiting this area and hope to return at a warmer time of year.

It's been a mission this semester break to get our current learner driver some serious hours, 3 years after getting his learners he'd reached a massive 15 hours! In the past couple of weeks we have driven from Melbourne to Mildura via Mount Gambier and to Myrtleford for a milkshake and a cache. Today we pointed the car at Daylesford, had lunch and the all important milkshake. Then went looking for the obligatory cache. Starting to get a bit nervous as it's now 1:30pm and there is another Earthbound offspring back in Mentone hoping to be picked up from school around 3:30. The Chief was waiting for the GPS to settle and wandered while it spun. What do they say about boy look? I told the L Plater to turn off the car & I jumped out of the car looked to where he was wandering and checked a likely spot. Viola! He signed the log and we were off, we might make pick up after all (fingers crossed). TFTC
Update: made pick up at 3:28pm with 55 hours and 10 mins up in the log book, phew!

Very historical location. Stayed for the markets and looked around the old railway. Thanks for showing me this great location xx
The last day of my weekend away and it is cold wet and miserable as is usual for this area. (Sorry) Anyway, after looking in all the obvious places the container was in hand and the log duly signed. With misschief18 and Bentley TB

Felt as though we were searching in the wrong place, but found it with taurus1955 and Bentley TB on a cold, wet, miserable day in Daylesford. A lovely station though. TFTC
On holidays from Perth. Not many around here but good find for us! Piper and Darcy
Found it - but gotta say the local railway worker was chomping at the bit to tell us where it was - so didn't feel particularly challenged. Still - fun and nice that the locals don't get mad seeing three 30yI women picking through the railway yard... TFTC
Nice hide, had to look for a little while before we found it, after we found it and had placed it back, started chatting, a local walked past and asked us if we found it. I wonder if he had been watching us from a distance having a laugh Tftc
Took us way too long to find this one! In the end, the muggle I was caching with managed to put his hands on it. TFTC.
After caching in Trentham today it was time to head home grabbing some quick drive bys (my legs were sore)! Yah the final one. I have attempted this before and failed but a friend recently got it and gave me a hint. My coords were off both times. Many thanks for a nice little series
Found by Greg. It took a couple of visits over the years to find this one. TNLN TFTC.
Co-ords were close enough to spot on and despite the cache being well concealed a fairly quick find was made. Cache was dry and in good condition. A very interesting area. We have not completed all 3 of this series. Thanks feathertop.
Took a bit of searching but eventually Thundering_SU had it in the hand

This is a great cache, very ingenious. Took us a little while to find it. Clues in past logs helped. Lovely spot and view.
