Find number 14629 at 1:49:52pm on Friday the 15 November 2024Camping in Daylesford for the next week for a mini family camping reunion over the weekend, I've arrived early to have a look around and do some geocaching.Out for another early drive this morning looking around and grabbing some geocaches, mostly chasing Multi's for a calendar year challenge but grabbing a few others as well.A quick find and on to the next. What a beautiful little spot!**Thanks for placing this cache feathertop**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
*Found on the 5 Oct 2024 @ 2:15pm.**Cache find # 15865.* I headed up this way for an event on Jubilee Lake, after the event was over, I then went on a tour around the area and was able to find a few more caches in between rain showers.I headed to this one which has a nice little shelter from the rain but the phone couldnt make up its mind where I should be to look for this one, after doing a loop around the shelter and the trees, I came back to where I started and found the cache tucked away.**Thanks to feathertop for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
TFTC - In the area with HeliKelli on a getaway and located the cache. Such a nice area with some great history.
Staying in Daylesford with Kploz while we are on annual leave putting some smilies in our geo maps. Beautiful area and I love this little train station. Would love to see it when a train arrives. Found the cache fairly easily out of the prying eyes of the drivers passing by. Thank you so much for placing a cache in this location to bring us here.
Took a few minutes to find as the map wasnt being friendly, however utilising the hint I found it in an obvious spot. TFTC!!
I was in Daylesford today as a Guard on a charter train on the Daylesford Spa Country Railway (the trading name of the CHTR). Although we stopped at Musk on our way back to Daylesford, looking for the cache was a complete impossibility... so I stopped off as I was driving home to look for it. A nice simple find... log signed and on my way for another couple of caches to get the current Souvenir. Thanks **feathertop** for putting this cache here.
I'm so glad the cache was hidden where it was rather than up a tree! This is a lovely place to visit. TFTC SL TN LN.
Found It!Interesting bit of history and a nice spot for a cache. And I didn't have to stand in the rain while searching for the cache which was good!TFTC
Found it with Sleepy205. Father/son combo from Bellingham, Washington State. Staying in Daylesford for a couple of weeks. Caching is such a great way to see some parts of the countryside a bit off the beaten path! tftc
Found on a trip to Creswick for the GIFF film premier. On the way home via Trentham for some cache maintenance and this was on the way. Lots of spiders but a quick find thankfully. Thanks Sally.
Ballarat Geo-Tour Trip
Day #1 of 4 (15/9)
What a trip! 10 hours of travel while finding the occasion Geocache along the way. Before you ask, yes I did plan a trail which included 12 caches. These caches focused on collecting as many LGA’s as I could. I also made sure to find: GC7A, because I have never found a cache that was hidden in 2000 before. All caches were quick finds and were fun. When I got into Ballarat I found a letterbox cache near my motel before getting dinner. TB visit. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTC’s
While traveling south to Ballarat, I stopped off here to find this cache. How can a 2008 in a great location only have one FP? Well here is another one! I love visiting historic train stations and this one was no different. A nice quick find at GZ. Thanks so much for bringing me here for the history lesson and now off to the next one.

I stopped by here while scoping out a walk in the not-too-distant future. It took a few moments before a process of elimination had me signing the log at 12:35. Nice one.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks feathertop.

On my way home from a massage in Daylesford & finishing the multi. I love the Evacuation Point diagram........ from a wee shed & hidden on the back wall!! Many thanks. I'll need to look up the other 2 on this line at some point Lest We Forget
Not sure exactly where it could be, we looked around as much as we could without attracting attention
Staying nearby so The Test Pilot and I went to find this cache. Quiet little place for a quick cache find. Thank you
Nice quick find on the way to Daylesford. Thanks for the cache and Merry Christmas!
No train visible today, so parked and went back across the rail way line and quickly located and signed the logbook before returning the cache to its home.

A nice spot too, thanks for the cache!

TFTC Easy find. Nice to enjoy the serenity and go back in time at these quaint little stations
I always find it a little sad to see disused railways. It is such an energy efficient means of transport we should be utilising it more rather than less. But still, a nice cache in an interesting location. Thanks
Must have just been cache blindness on our previous visit, 5 years ago. Glad to be able to turn the blue frown to a yellow smile. We love travelling these usually quiet country roads. So thanks feathertop for giving us another reason to stop and enjoy this area.
Toot Toot!
My dad works for the Railways and he would have delayed this train departing to nerd-bomb the driver about the mechanics. Instead we waved and smiled to the passengers as they eagerly went on their trip and we eagerly found the last cache of the day with ChooknChunk.
Thanks for the cache.

In the company of RoamingHowie, chooknchunk and Kristysadventures today.
Just so happened to arrive at the same time the train was preparing to depart. So we waited and waved its departure before hunting for the nicely concealed cache.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, feathertop

After a weekend away in Daylesford chooknchunk, OzHockeyChick, Kristysadventures and I set off for a few caches on the way home.
As we arrived at the station to collect this cache the train was there and undergoing final preparations before departing. We waiting for the calls “all aboard” and as we waved farewell to the passengers, the coast was now clear. With so many eyes it didn’t take long to locate this cache.
Thanks feathertop for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Found while exploring the Daylesford area, in the company of Roaming Howie, OzHockeyChick and KristysAdventures. When we arrived here, the local tourist train was sitting at the station, getting ready for its return trip to Daylesford. After checking all the passengers were back on board, the whistle blew and we waved to all on board as it departed. Once the train was gone, the coast was clear to start looking for the cache, which KA found quite quickly. All in good condition at GZ. TFTC feathertop.
Found this one on the way home from work event at wombat State Forest on my way across the Daylesford then back home to shepparton
A quick find here.

Lovely spot to stop, lovely garden near where we parked and so green. Thanks for placing this here for us
First find for the new year. We have caught the train down from Daylesford, a great little trip that also included the Sunday market at the train station. Cache was easily found and returned. TFTV
Nice one found on warm afternoon walk.
Great to see this log has dates back to 2011.

On a country ramble as the is out. If this is summer, I’m not feeling the love Excellent hot coffee ️ at Trentham ‘tho. Visited a couple of mineral springs and filled a water bottle.
Took a while to get a fix on GZ and then realised the cache was out in the open Logged and tucked out of sight. That’s a huge widow maker in the big tree Anyone got a chainsaw?

Amazing little hiding spot. Mind you the cache has changed containers, keep your eyes open and look closely.
TFTC - found relatively easily as we are out collecting them as a geo fam, kids are loving the fun in trying to find them.
A nice, quiet little place for a quick cache find. Thank you

TFTC. We had come out to Daylesford to complete the Spa Country AL. As we were g[travelling around we collected info for several multis. This cache was on on our way back into Daylesford and we noticed this on the vehicle GPS.. We stopped and found the cache. Was tempted to travel a bit further up the road to a winery but we continued caching.
We love Trentham as a holiday spot and were so glad that restrictions had been lifted so we could head out here to enjoy the second week of the school holidays exploring Trentham and it's neighboring little towns. Today we had been out exploring Daylesford and Jubilee Lake but had had no success with any caches at our destinations. We were heading back towards Trentham and Geo-Mum pointed this one out on the map and I was out on my toes for the quick park and grab hopefully. Very interesting bit of history here at the little station, would love to take the train ride here one day. The cache was spotted from almost right at the entrance of the little station so it was a quick sign and return better hidden. Thanks for another great cache here feathertop
