As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

We looked and we looked but alas no cache was found. Wondering if it is still there?????????????? We did however find a lot of bottles and then some!!!

05-Jan-10
this was our 2nd attempt for this one but we just can't find it... maybe it's been muggled

02-Nov-09
4 of us looked and searched and we were seeking, and hunting, and in pursuit of our quest we did rummage around some more, and the end result of our exploration of this area was a DNF.

02-Aug-09
Found at 16:40

Took quite a while to get to the area as it was busy.
I had someone on lookout so I could come out un-noticed.

The old mattress looked appealing given a bad night's sleep, but Mr O resisted the urge to lay down and found the cache instead. Nice bridge, TFTC.

Find # 145 @ 15:50 This took me a few minutes to find. I knew where I had to look, just couldn't find it for a while. Perserverence eventually paid off. SL TFTC

31-May-09
Pleased it was a rather quiet Sunday for my visit, can't see how I would do this one in business hours. Took a bit of a look around before I found it.

17-May-09
6th find of the day and 1977th total find at 14:02.

We've been here a couple of times before, but have always felt uncomfortable doing this one during business hours as the lane has always seemed to be full of muggles. We deliberately selected a non work day to do this cache so we could finally wipe it off our to-do list.

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks highrod for the cache.

nice - took a couple of goes. thanks guys!

25-Apr-09
We arrived at the cache location and in no time we sensed where the cache will be. I decided to tackle this one the easy way and due to its location I was able to search without being seen by muggles.
After replacing the cache carefully due to where it was hidden and not wanting it to move, I took some good shots of the old Bluestone bridge.
Our thanks again to Highrod for the cache at a location we have driven under many times over the years.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the "Blue yes, old yes, worth stopping for yes" Coffee Clan.

29-Nov-08
Found at 0545 on a quiet morning as you'd expect, before work at 6. I had tried this one in the past, but left it til an opportune time such as this to find it with nobody about at all.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache!!

18-Nov-08
Found this easy enough, there was barely any leaf litter covering it. There was also an old mattress there, which I suspect may be being used by some unfortunate soul. I reburied it as well as I could. Hope it survives! TFTC, TNLNSL

12-Nov-08
found it while on a camp to ballarat with my year nines. it was muggled so we hid it at the base of a tree on the hill.

TFTH Very Happy

14-Oct-08
All right, I'll bite, why is it called Orange Peel?
The cache was very well hidden as lots of leaves have dropped and mounded up, giving us lots of places to look. The GPS was not helping either. Smile
Nice bridge, must of been a bugger holding up all the stones to put in the keystone.
Thanks, Robmc.

14-Oct-08
Found this one after the GPS settled down. Told me I was 20 metres away at first which had us wandering to and fro for a bit.
Love seeing these old stone bridges although this is probably not the prettiest I've seen.
Thanks again highrod.

05-Oct-08
Picked this one up with BurningLizzy on the way out for coffee. Left a couple of badges, took nothing. Thanks for the cache!

13-Sep-08
The container was actually open when we found it. There was no geocoin in it. Unsure if someone has taken it and forgotten to log that it has been taken or if it has been muggled. No logs in book said it was taken.

No one really looks at you. You have to convince yourself. There were 4 crow eaters assaulting this one. Perhaps the passes by thought it was a CITO. It could do with one.

A hit here but not around the corner.

Clear skies from TeamAstro and thanx to highrod for the interesting structure visit. Smile

27-Jul-08
Well we tried 2 bridges caches today and scored a find on this one.

GAFF2. Sensational bluestone work.

Dropped in the last coin I was holding in the Denmark Coin Race. A sensational coin it is too.

Got my coins mixed up. Dropping Yin til Aarhus coin in. The other coin that I said I left here in in my log is in the cache just up the street at a similar structure. I can't fix it up because I don't have the tracking number.

Found this one at 7:55 while waiting for the pool to open (seriously Wink). I looked in a couple of the "usual" places before I finally found it in a different "usual" place.

Found by Mary & David at 1330. Superb example of the stone masons' art here, using local bluestone. TNLN. Our thanks to highrod

05-Apr-08
Found at 5.15pm GAFF3. We have been around here before so the area was quite familiar. We thought we were going to be in for some trouble judging by where the GPS was pointing, but it turned out to be not that hard. Thanks highrod. Took Australian coin

Our second in the Blue Bridges series, we also marvel at the workmanship that went into these structures and how most of them have stood the test of time and are still in use today. We pulled up and waited for a group of teenagers on their way to a fancy dress party (by their costumes) to leave. When the cost was clear the well hidden cache was discovered after a short search at 15.40

Thanks highrod for the cache

05-Apr-08
Found after a little wandering around. Dropped in Homedg's Aussie on tour geocoin 2006, although this is logged into Eurreka Uprising 2008 event at the mo. TNLN, liked the bridge (and passing train).

02-Apr-08
I enjoy exploring this grand old bridges, they're a great reminder of the skill and workmanship of former times. The cache was found after bit of a search, although once I found it I was surprised by how exposed it was. I hopefully covered it better than I found it.

Thanks,

R - B

Found at 1520. After finding a park 50m away, proceeded to GZ with the hope that there was no one around...which gladly there wasn't. After the cache was found, I simply had to stand back for a minute to take in the bridges full capacity. Tese bridges must of taken some work to erect. Great little series.

Eighth of thirteen cache finds for the day. Another great old bridge, I ducked be hind the sign and soon had the cache in hand as it was rather exposed, I thought the aluminum strip was a strange thing to dump here, Thanks highrod for the cache.

We found our 2nd Highrod cache at 2:05pm as the 13th of 29 on our Ballaratatattat Tour III. After a tasty lunch, we continued on our tour. We enjoyed the architecture of this magnificent bluestone bridge. Unfortunately, when a cache is placed in an area that is a magnet for garbage, the cache owner really needs to keep the area clear of rubbish or the cache becomes just as well known for the litter as the object that they really want to show off in the first place. Reading the cache logs, the garbage around the cache seems to be getting a lot of the attention. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.

Found today by Mr Emu & Demon Boy @ 1.35 p.m., GAFF1 http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GAFF . No. 9 of 25 on our "return to Ballarat" day, our biggest caching day so far.

Its was interesting to see the old architecture, but a pity the well-hidden cache is in an area frequented by litter bugs (including spray-can users).

Thanks for the cache. Took: Nil; Left: Nil

It's a pity about all the rubbish that is laying around at this spot. It could be such a pretty area.

This could be a trick during the week, but on a Sunday there was nobody here to hinder our search.

Took a couple of minutes to spot it.

Another interesting bridge.

Thanks Highrod.

found the cache before round circle [dad],i thought that it was going to be somewhere on the sign, then when i was going towards round circle i found it.Twisted

17-Feb-08
Found with feathertop today. While feathertop uncovered the hide I admired the bridge as there was rather too much rubbish around here for my liking. Thanks highrod.

17-Feb-08
The blue bridge series really does highlight the 19th Century building skills of Ballarat's early craftmen. This hide had us guessing for a bit but when the GPS settled down it could only then be in one place. Thanks Highrod.

Found by Head Chef whilst in Ballarat for work.

1st of 4 finds in an hour for a quick cache run to clean up unfound caches around town.
We finally got round to doing the latest (and the 1st) in the Blue bridges series. Found easily... was a little exposed, but have covered a bit better.
Log signed quickly, and we were off to our next cache.
Thanks Highrod

Found on the way home from work, with lots of muggle activity all around, but oblivious to what was transpiring!!TwistedWink

I just got home from an inspection (my job) and checked the emails and there it was. I just joined up as a premium member a few days ago; it helps to get the heads up for the new listings.
I went to print the details out, but the printer was too slow, so I wrote down the co-ords on a scrap of paper and raced out to find it. I know how tough the competition is around Ballarat.
My second FTF, with no help this time Razz
LNTN. thanks for the cache highrod, cheers.
