No joy before battery died, but did discover a lovely wee park. Looked in the obvious spot, but nought. I note it's not been found since the floods earlier in the year? Still, a lovely spot so shall return one day with phone charged!
Started to get dark so we only had a quick look and river had been up recently so didn't have suitable footwear for wet underfoot conditions. Going to return for a better look.
Found this one during our month long campervan/"Road trip" vacation in New Zealand. It was a wonderful experience driving around this beaurtiful country.
This one was found on a day driving from Akaroa to Christchurch
Thanks to Woolfienz.

Picked this up late at night. Startled some wildlife which become quite vocal about their dislike of someone shining a torch around their sanctuary. Tftc
975 - A beautiful day for a wander today and a nice quick find as I was exploring other areas nearby. That new subdivision across the road is starting to take shape! It's hard to keep up with all the new areas. TFTC. Took a GC
Nice one! I was on my way to a more distant cache and found myself passing this one. Stopped for a quick walk down to GZ and a quick find once there. TFTC, Biggles.
On the way to the dentist, had 15 minutes to spare and saw this one close by. Quick easy find. TFTC.
Found it, yippeee success not like the previous one I looked for just back down the road a little, TFTC
Well we were going to paint my mothers kitchen and take a break to go to the dentist. So we went to the hardware store for overalls and realised we forgot the drop cloths. It would have taken too long to go back for them so we headed for the dentist where we had to be in an hour and picked this cache up on the way. Have driven past here often on the way to spencer park but had never noticed the pocket of reserve. A nice easy find in a wet spot. TFTC.
Super easy find today. A bit of flooding in the area but cache was safe and sound. Thanks for the cache.

So full speed weekend!!
I had just finished singing group practice at church, and was needing a very very very speedy cache before I took over duty at volunteering.
Tried for another first, but unable to find suitable parking quick enough meant another had to do. I had already plotted out various alternatives, so had some back ups, and this was one of them.
Parked on near GZ, racing out of the car. I only had about 5 more minutes to spare before I would be needing to be off, and then unable to find a cache for the rest of the day!!!
As I was walking towards where the GPS pointed me, I noticed that there was water everywhere!! Oh no!! There better not be the cache in that deep water! Can't be! And I didn't have my gumboots on!!!
So I took a wee look around for other likely spots, and stuff what the phone GPS was saying! That looked a likely spot! And I soon was signing the log!! Oh yeah! Go me!
And back into the car! Whole ordeal only took me like 3 minutes. And I was pretty much spot on the dot on time to volunteering!!

Heading back into the city and this showed up on the side of the road. Just time for a last one for the morning and success in the first place checked.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Found it, interesting place only just off the main road. Not very much water around at the moment.
Water still high and GPS went manic but back to obvious spot after some deliberation. Tftc [:-)]
Part of an enjoyable afternoon caching in the area.Picked up a travel bug J0MF31 but have not logged as the previous placer has not yet logged it.
Quick park & grab on the way to work this morning...albeit had to avoid the cars driving along the road heading, mostly, into town. TN:LN:SL. TFTC...Woolfienz. # 254 for us.
Pickup up one of Woolfienz's caches up the road and stopped by and grabbed this one too. I just came from one up the road and I have really been impressed on how this has all been developed. I have driven pass this so many times going to Spencer Park and never had reason to stop. Thanks for placing this cache in a great spot.

After a great week was had touring around the South Island with Roostaman...including attending the mega event in Dunedin...we spent today finding some caches in and around this beautiful city of Christchurch. This was the second last cache find for the night before heading back to our accommodation and home the next day.

Another day of Mega caching around the Christchurch suburbs and city.
Another nice cache and hide and then on the way again.

Found it ground abit soggy but thanks for bringing us here will be back in Summer
This find took far longer than it needed to and I left wearing most of a tree. However I did get the smiley and I'm sure that made up for my muddy feet.
An easy find once we got to thespot- obviously been very wet underfoot recently- but the log was dry and safe.TFTC
Nice easy find once we went along the road. There is no access from the reserve at the moment, unless you wade, as the boardwalk is under knee deep water.

An easy find but the flood waters are close! I'm sure they won't reach the cache but if they get much higher it'll be cut off from the mainland! Exchanged TBs. TFTC
Great hiding place Left Travel bug there after it went and played poker at Christchurch regionals

GeoYoungling #3 and I pulled up to this one on our way home from a reserve just North of here. Lovely spot here! Found the cache after a short search. All in good shape!

A quick find on the way to the coast this morning for some walking. Nice spot. Cache was a bit exposed, I could see it from several metres away as I walked towards it so I have concealed it a bit better. Signed log, TFTC!
A quick find on a wet evening.
We had a planned Guide BBQ and beach cleanup this evening - yes, we went ahead Guides don't melt in the rain. What a lot of rubbish collected on a short stretch of the beach in just 15min. The worst find was deemed to be 2 full nappies. Ugh!
So I was already rather wet (looked like a drowned rat according to someone) and a bit sandy I decided to stop off here and hopefully most of the sand on my coat would wash off during the walk to and from the cache.
Success with the cache, partial success with the sand.
Home now, and typical - the rain has stopped!

We were on our way home from Adrenalin Forest out at Spencer Park and picked up a few GCs. Nice drive by. TFTC.

Quick find whilst passing by on our way to Spencer Park for a picnic gathering. Took me longer to refind the lid in the long grass than it did to find the cache itself! ha ha. That'll teach me for putting it down!....Thanks.
Still 100% strike rate, 3 from 3. No muggles out today as its far too cold for sensible people to be out . Nice easy find for the kids. Thanks again.
A nice sunny day, a little damp under foot, cache in full view. Left a little more covered up. Thanks.
Good day for a cache hunt. We had concerns about finding it as the boardwalk was underwater, but our fears were unfounded. Thanks for a fun cache!
What a great morning for a wander. Interesting to note that you can drop off your harakeke offcuts here.
A quick find on the "way home" from Spencer Park. Found by youngest, took Finger light, left Skateboard. TFTC.
Nice easy find on a very warm day. Unfortunatly there was a rather a strong smell!!

A quick and easy find. My 8 year old was fascinated with the pumice so we took that and left a small eraser we found earlier. TFTC
A quick and easy find when driving by. Put some piece of puzzle and little pumice rock in the cache. Took toy bird out. Thanks and greetings from Latvia!
We arrived in New Zealand yesterday for a month's touring South Island in a campervan. Having stayed at the nearby campsite last night, this was the first cache find of our visit and a delightful spot it was too. Really enjoying the heat this morning, having left our home in the UK under a foot of snow! We read the information board on the short walk through the reserve and stopped to watch the ducks. A tidy hide and good coordinates. Out: angel. In: bullfinch pin badge and City of Trees Homing Bug TB. SL. TFTC.
