Not there i agree with the previous cacher. Might of been swept away by river. Very high river flows over the past months. Had relllys up the road so walked but alas
No luck today with master 4. We searched widely and as it should be a biggish cache it should've been easy. But alas not for us (unless it is gone)? Great spot though and we will be back
A nice quick find on my way home. Drive past here everyday to uni and never stopped. Lovely river area. TFTC.
Well hidden cache
Took a minute or two to find
Beautiful area, driven past numerous times without second thought or stopping
TFTC
We were passing through the area and doing some caching on the way, and we stopped in the this one, after walking in circles we finally spotted it, thanks for showing us this area and thanks for the cache.
Loved the drive, TheAngryBirds. Nice and easy, watch out for the prickles though!!
Just enough time for a couple more finds on my way home from a day caching in and around Buninyong. This was my twelfth find for the day, taking the scenic route home. Found after a brief search a few metres from where the GPS thought I should be. An extra couple of weeks and this could have qualified as an unloved cache, but I couldn't wait that long!
Thanks flyjabiru1 for showing me a part of the Yarrowee/Leigh I hadn't seen before !

Still on the post 31 Days of Geocaching and we headed in the opposite direction today to grab a cache past Buninyong. The name had us a bit wary, but the logs seemed to indicate that this was not going to be a big issue. We can see what previous finders found with the potential look of private property.
We had to do a bit of a loop as there was a logging truck parked at what looked like the best entry point. By the time we came back it was gone. Bit wary of the holes scattered around the ground if you go for a walk past GZ, but a lovely, quiet spot. Found the cache and signed log.
Thanks for the cache flyjabiru1.

Suscoe's first find on a trip to Ballarat for an event.
A delightful drive up from Geelong and we enjoyed the lovely sunshine on this post solstice day.
A quick walk in, not much frost here, we had seen a lot of the white stuff on our way.
Cache located, log signed and on our way.
Snakes well and truly tucked up in bed today.
Thanks to flyjabiru1 for showing us this place.
Northward we go!

After school, Geokid and Dpkcacher Geokid set out to find this one. We first thought we may have been on private property. We located the cache and signed the log. GZ was pretty accurate. On the way out we saw the picnic table! Thanks for bringing us here.
Well we almost drove right up to it, funny how theres a picnic table in the middle of the trees! All we found on the way to the cache was cobwebs and signed the log listening to the river and odd cow. Thanks
Knew it had to be higher than the high water mark. Quiet spot & dog went for a swim.
what a nice little spot no nakeys to be seen but found cache left a tb with a little travel rabbit that is hitching a ride with tb looking to see the world with his/her new friend tnltb tftc
This was one of over 110 caches I found during a huge day and night of caching with my fellow cachers Trailrunning, Rebel Acts and Blacklegend (The Demolition Crew). As we all had the day free we carefully planned in advance the run and decided to call it Ballarat Smackdown II. The plan was ambitious and resulted in almost 22 hours of continual caching.
The day started in the early hours of the morning in the far eastern suburbs of Melbourne, then moving through the northern suburbs then onto and along the Western Freeway to Enfield State Forest then north up to Ballarat itself. We cached through Melton, Pykes Reservoir and Bacchus Marsh and many of the country roads north and south of the Western Freeway as we made our way west.
We had a fantastic day finding all the different types of caches and there were some quite inventive, very tricky and well constructed hides that we found. I thank all the cache owners for the time and effort they have spent in placing all the caches we found today.

Another legendary cache run by The Demolition Crew (myself, TrailRunning, Quasar3671 and Rebel Acts). We have dubbed it Ballarat Smackdown II. This was a huge run taking us all the way from near Cardinia, via the northern suburbs of Melbourne, to Bacchus Marsh and Melton and finally Ballarat. A massive loop, and over 100 caches for the run. The company was as always fantastic, a lot of laughs, good dinner, and great caches. Many thanks to all the CO's for the hides, without them we wouldn't have been able to find anything. TFTC flyjabiru1, a nice quick find.
This was, cache # 62 of 117 finds for the day in the company of The Demolition Crew. My thanks to flyjabiru1 for the cache.
This cache was found by me today in the company of The Demolition Crew.
While I strive to make my logs personal to every cache, I have far too many logs to do, that I apologise in this instance for using a generic log. I thank you for the placement of this cache as it was one of many that made up a great day for me and the crew..
The Day's Blurb...
The annual holidays is always a great time to relax and take it easy, but not today. The Demolition Crew had decided that after such a long break from caching together that we would start the year off with a bang! So the planning minds were put into operation, and Ballarat Smackdown II was conceived.
The smackdown started along way from Ballarat, in fact in the hills around Cardinia Reservoir and from there is was a push across the northern suburbs of Melbourne through Melton & Bacchus Marsh. It being such a hot day, the waters of Pykes Creek Reservoir cooled and refreshed us, and we were soon off to start on the Ballarat caches.
Since our first Smackdown in the area, many new caches have popped up, so it was a fruitful run which ended well into the early morning. A couple of caches were replaced as a way of saying thanks to those who took the time to place them, and I think in the end my tally was well over 100 for the run.
It was a completely awesome day, and I thank you for placing the cache. We will return to the Ballarat area soon as there are still a number of caches we left undiscovered.

Our first cache for the day as we headed out of town on our way home. The driving rain didn't help, but a quick find was made. Thanks for the cache.

A cache which slithered in as the last for the day. We also sighted some of the Uni equipment mentioned by some previous finders.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt flyjabiru1.

They may well be alive but they were not in evidence today. Found both the university trap device and the cache. TNLN TFTC
Found this one while we were cleaning up a few of the caches we've had on the list for far too long, and this one was on top. Interesting to see nearby the university projects, not too sure what they are used for.
TNLN SL Thanks flyjabiru for the cache.
TNLN SL Thanks flyjabiru for the cache.
I did quite a few laps of these trees before finding it, the coords were good, however I was looking blindly at the wrong sorta hide.. Thanks Flyjabiru1 for the hide, as stated by others the camo has slithered away.. find #1454
I found the uni student experiment before I found the cache, it's an inverted bucket with a funnel in the bottom/top (depends which way you look at it), 10 points to whoever finds that non-caching cache as well. I did a few loops of the area until finally getting the cache, if you're getting stuck then stay away from the wall of ferns.
Nice spot to come across on a day of hunting travels.

Nice easy find on my first caching expedition from my newfound home at Buninyong. The reference to snakes makes one a bit apprehensive!

Nice drive and short walk with my friend and his daughter - who was a little disappointed that there were no nice swaps. Didn't see the picnic tables alas, and the meaning of the cache name has probably changed with the long grass and complete lack of camo. An interesting log by a uni student who was searching for animal poo and found the cache. cheers.
A much easier find in daylight as GPS plays up a bit here!
It was high but wasn't that dry due to recent rains!

Attempted to find this afternoon, but the GPS was playing up. Came back through this way after doing a couple of other caches further south and got it easily!
After getting twenty six smiley faces in Ballarat last weekend and attending the very successful event it was back again to first of all to pass the 1000 mark and add another forty odd caches to the list.
On arrival we upset some local dogs who thought we were invading their territory. An easy find signed the log and we were off to the next.
Found while on a caching day with Bushfire early morning , dunno about the snake but sure was dogs alive today - thanks flyjabiru1
Sully1 and I on a day out caching were very pleased that there were no snakes alive today. Cache found and logged quickly. TFTC
Thank goodness there was no sign of Snakes today!! A little prickly retrieving this one though. TNLNSL. Many Thanks to flyjabiru1
This cache was last found by a muggle who kindly left it. It was an easy find not hidden at all. Hid it more thoroughly before we left.
Took wrist band and left candle.

Found myself walking through the creek worrying about snakes in the long grass... Stupid gps
Eventually found the cache, took nothing, left a pen.

Found 13:30, in the company of Muzza, a nice easy find, it would appear however that the item that gives this cache it's name has disappeared.
TNLN, CSi=2, thanks flyjabiru1.

This was cache # 10 of 21 on a day out caching round Ballarat with Biggles Bear. Cache was found without difficulty. By the pattern on the cache container, we could see that in the past there had been a snake attached. But today there was no sign of it. Thanks to flyjabiru1 for the cache.

Found with Sandar10 on wet old day, hooray sandy found first, TNLN cheers flyjabiru1
found our 10th Flyjabiru1 cache at 1:25pm as the 16th of 40 on our Ballaratatattat Tour V in company of Backpaqer. Parked abut 15m further from the cache than we had to. Don't tell Pprass. Thanks for the cache from D B-A.
This is certainly a well hidden little reserve that we would have been apprehensive entering if the gate was shut. The GPSr led us directly to the cache which seemed a little too easy to find. Remembering the cache name we opened the cache gingerly, not sure what to expect only to find no flyjabiru challenges
Thanks for the cache
Thanks for the cache
First of five for the day. Was a bit wary, thinking cache was on private land, having gone through a fence and gate to follow signal. However, a bit more scouting around soon saw picnic tables, and realised public location. Thanks for the cache. TNLN
Took a bit to find the cache even though on arrival it looked like it would easy. Great patch of establishing revegetation. TFTC
Found in the aforementioned placement. What a pleasant little reserve! A few kids wandering around nearby but not in the proximity of the cache so an easy find was made, once the signal settled. No swaps made today. Many thanks Mrs FJ!.
Our second find for the day. It was out in the open exposed and without the camo (it may have been muggled) so we have placed the cache in the fork of a nearby tree a little less conspicuous. Took earplugs, left tigger, also took geocoin
Find # 2429 and 24th of the day at 4:53pm. Accompanied by Feathertop on another cache cleanup day in and around Ballarat. Easy find for the last cache of the day. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Flyjabiru1....
Because my Palm had stopped working I didn't know what I was looking for here. However the cache was found without too much trouble once I looked in the correct spot (of course). Thanks for yet another cache!
Very hot day. We looked for this one a few weekends ago but were put off by muggle kids playing in the creek. No one around today, although the water looked like a good option! Kitten #1 got a laugh out of the camo. All in all a good fun cache. T: Bubble mix; L: mini head phones. Also left the Wright Brothers Geocoin. This isn't really an aviation cache (neither was the one we got it from), but there is that movie.. Snakes on a Plane! Thanks flyjabiru1.
1st of 13 for the day at 1020. A nice easy find in a great little reserve.

Found at 0830. Was interested in what I would find at GZ in the way of camo, but as it turned out it wasn't bad at all. Quite funny actually. There certainly is a lot of road works going on in the area at the moment.

Find 131. 2nd of the day at 7pm.

Nice spot for a break after the adventures of "The Miners Right"! Took a bit longer to find than expected - I could only come up with a pair of sunglasses in my searching. Maccamob made the discovery - like the camo!
Found by Mary & David at 1625 in company with GeoJo. A lovely spot by the Yarrowee River. Our GPSr took a little while to settle, but then took us to the right place. TNLN. Our thanks to flyjabiru1.
A nice easy driveby after escaping from the hoards in nearby Buninyong today. I have a similar camo on one of my caches so I knew what to expect. Thanks flyjabiru1.
I had a go at this one last weekend with out the GPS, but was no where near it. With the new GPS it was quickly found.
Looking at the swaps, we noticed that the compass that is in the cache as a swap points South, instead of North!
No swaps.
Grabbed the TB.

2nd to find today, pipped at the post by 2Dudez (who I think I saw driving off from the otherside of the bridge as I pulled up) just before 7.00am.
A quick, weary, search of GZ and I had the cache in hand. I liked the camo, not as scary as I envisaged when I read the name of the cache.
Took: Nothing
Left: TB & Wrist Band

Second of 4 FTFs on the Wee Hours caching run.
Took the Grubbs road "Shortcut" through the State Forest on my way from Whitejaegars latest cache.
Had driven past here several times and commented that it would be great to have a cache in this area. Great minds think alike
An easy find around 7am. Loved the novel container
Signed log, made no exchanges.
Sorry to have missed you at GZ Whitejaeger, would have been great to finally meet you.
We'll have to catch up at the future Ballarat Event.
Thanks for another great cache FJ1 (and Mrs FJ1)
