Something special or unusual goes here:A wonderful exploration of the park during a CITO event and a quick find for us at GZ. Completed this cache with Skylizard while attending the Grest Victorian cache crawl CITO. A lovely walk through the parkland brought us the the required location. A quick find was made. TFTC

18-Aug-24
My plan for this weekend was attending most of the "The Great Victorian Cache Crawl" while collecting old geocaches, multicaches, and a tree climb for the adventure. Plus, whatever else caught our eyes as we passed.Of the old geocaches, it looks like we got...X2 2001X2 2002X2 2005X1 2006X3 2007Favourite caches of the weekend we were the 2001 caches. Not because they were old ones, but because the items at GC255F were completely unexpected, and the adventure at GC277B of walking over the flooded spillway and climbing the cliff in the rain was risky and therefore exciting. Overall, not huge numbers of caches found, but a great weekend adventure. Big thanks to Geocaching Victoria for organising the events and getting so many geocachers to attend. Strolled to this one with our relatives who live locally. They know about geocaching, having come with us a few times, and knew a few where in this park. However, they didn't know about this one or the final. Thanks for the cache, Team Gra Mon.Hunter

18-Aug-24
Out and about with TanSaf as part of The Victorian Cache Crawl. It was a beautiful day for caching and we found our way to the CITO and discovered this cache nearby meeting up with cachers there. Thanks Team GraMon for placing the cache.

I had decided to join the second day of *The Great Victorian Cache Crawl*... so I was up early to get to Tatura with a couple of hours available to go cache hunting before the activities kicked off there with a CITO. With my first hour spent chasing a variety of caches around town, I spent the rest of my time before the CITO chasing out caches hidden around the park... starting with this very pleasant stroll. I found out later that luck had been on my side... until recently the gates to the "bats" had been locked but were now open. Thanks **Team GraMon** for this cache.

18-Aug-24
The cache crawl was on and this year apart from the Friday night dinner which I couldn't make it to I will be doing the whole crawl. Today on the return trip the weather was much better and it was much more enjoyable not needing the raincoat all the time.Worked this while out and about gathering rubbish on the CITO. Had to guess letter A because we couldn't find the info at the start. Thanks Team GraMon for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

*18 Aug 2024, Found @11:38AM, Find # 3880.*A beautiful day to explore this park and grab a cache or two. Another team was already here when I arrived. Thanks for bringing me to this location. **Thanks to Team GraMon for placing this cache.**

18-Aug-24
I'll admit it - we had help on this one! I like the idea of rocks in the container to stop it floating away if the waters rise. Always pleased to log a multi. Thanks.

**Day 2, Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024 (GVCC)**Setting off from Echuca after the yummy sausage sizzle breakfast, we cached our way to Tatura for the CITO in the cleanest park ever!Whilst signing in, we were given the heads-up about the missing info for this multi, and some numbers may have been gained by saying pretty please. Once at GZ it was pretty much obvious where the hide was. Thankful for the help, catnap77!Signed as LetThemEatCache or LTEC as time or space would allow. Cache on ??*Throw off the bowlines. 11:48Day 2 of this year's Cache Crawl...Travelling once again with ThePacman.I found this while wandering around the park, picking up rubbish with n0w0rries.Needing a Multi today to finally fill in the month of August, this was a must. Needless to say, by the time we made our way to GZ, there was a bit of a party happening nearby. But I still had to find the cache myself... fortunately, it was in the most logical spot. Thanks, Team GraMon.#9136

18-Aug-24
Came for a CITO, but didnt find much rubbish. Did however get to sign this log while we were here. It was like a mini convention at GZ with groups of cachers joining us as we were signing our names. Unfortunately we didnt have the time (or apparently access to all clues) to complete this entirely as intended but we did enjoy the area, all the same.

18-Aug-24
Multi-cache # 973.A day trip with +Wife and EveTheStaffy. We drove up to Tatura for the The Great Victorian Cache Crawl - CITO here in Cussen Park.Of course, a few finds were made along the way. Thanks for the Multi-cache.

18-Aug-24
While attending the Great Victorian Cache Crawl CITO, I teamed up with jascat to wander over to find this one and there was quite a group gathered as we approached.

18-Aug-24
After a DNF many big sleeps ago we were back in the area for a CITO today. Armed with the GZ bunadoorian and I came to find this cache. We finally found it. Thank you for the multi.

18-Aug-24
Attending the CITO here and seeing that there is a lot of inquisitive people. Some hints were drip fed out given some missing and unavailable information.Soon enough a healthy set of coordinates were made and a casual walk to GZ soon ensued. Cache soon found with PrezDough and off we went for more.I visited 3 TB.TFTC.

25-Jul-24
Well my well earned 2 week break has come to an end as Im heading home today after staying in Rochester, Hay, White Cliffs, Cunnamulla, Toompine, Charleville then Cunnamulla again, Wanaaring, Hillston then Tatura last night. The trip included some very big detours due to lots of road closures due to the rain but it was still a very enjoyable trip. The sun has disappeared now and there is moisture in the air as well.I havent cached in Tatura before but when I was younger we used to cut through here to get to my sisters dairy farm.Finished of 2 Ad Labs then onto a few others then start heading home.I enjoyed my walk around the park collecting what was needed and even dodging the council doing all of the mowing.Did some maths after getting some help with WP1 and worked out some coords.I waited out some muggles at GZ which were the only ones I saw while at the park.Soon made the find. Thanks Team GraMon TFTC,

30-Jun-24
Sadly no luck today. WP1 is also gone

15-Jun-24
Have been told by another Geocacher that I was in the right spot but think this one is missing.I will return one day I hope.

11-May-24
Couldn't find the info at the posted coords, but decided to continue on as this probably could be worked out. Collected a couple of other WPs but then was greeted by a track closure so was unable to completed today.

14-May-23
Amazing find so much fun TFTC

13-May-23
Great Multicache! Too bad we came at the wrong time of year to see all the bats.

28-Apr-23
A very enjoyable wander around the wetlands gathering the clues for the final. However when we arrived, there was a muggle hanging around so we continued on to get the nearby trad to stall for time. Luckily when we got back we had the area to ourselves.
Unfortunately the cache was found floating in the water so we have replaced the cache so this older cache can continue as it looks like the CO is not active anymore.
Photos attached.
Thanks Team GraMon for the multi placement.

12-Feb-23
super soggy and muddy after the floods - but what a fun multi cache. cache owner informed to replace. thanks for the fun!

07-Jan-23
Unfortunately locked gates prevented me from being able to finish. Will come past again another day

13-Aug-22
It was a trick one butt I did find it in the end but log needs replacing unable to sign and also very well hid

05-Jul-22
Could not complete it locked gates stopping me from going any further

13-Jun-22
Lovely walk in the park, found the coordinates and then onto GZ. Found cache, but container had water in it and log is saturated. Unable to sign log. Mainenance needed. TFTC

25-Apr-22
2 x locked gates and a fence protecting the flying fox roosting area preventing us from getting to the last 3 way points stopped us from completing this multi cache. TFTC.

25-Apr-22
Well, I stopped by this morning, hoping to complete this multi, but unfortunately the track was closed after Tree 2 with the wording "No Public Entry" clearly marked. Pity, as it's a great location for a cache, but I'll look forward to returning here on another occasion after the track re-opens to the public. Thanks for the fun so far Team GraMon!

14-Jan-22
We needed a stroll this morning and this was a lovely spot to do it. Thanks for a fun cache.

e.Gregory1 and Freddo decided to travel to Wangaratta for Geocaching Victoria’s first 2022 Mega event. The attraction of GeoMaze icon was just too tempting. We packed the Land Cruiser for a bubble environment. There would be some public exposure but we would be keeping it minimal. Fortunately we did not bother with any warm clothes. Fortunately we packed some Bushmans with +20% DEET. There were caches to find and we found caches. We saw a lot of interesting places and met the occasional geocacher or two in the field.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

14-Jan-22
Found as I made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Wangaratta with Freddo.

We meandered our way across northern Victoria, camping along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks. We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other caches opportunistically as we were passing.

This was a nice, straightforward multi and an enjoyable walk among the wetlands. It didn't take us too long to collect the required information to determine the final coordinates. It was then just a short walk a little further on to GZ for a quick find.

Thank Team GraMon for the cache.

29-Oct-21
Amazing cache for an amazing day
Thank you for bringing us to this location

21-May-21
I have had this multi on my list ever since l met dalerious, but l have had an injured knee and l finally had surgery on it 8 days ago, so now l am pain free and walking without a limp. I really enjoyed walking around the grounds and viewing the bats. Well set out multi and cache found in good condition. Placed back safe and sound. Thank you Team GraMon.

A great multi! Beautiful walk and discovery of a mass of bats. First find with our new geo-pup Nala and Ben. TFTC

20-May-19
Found it and stayed there for the weekend.
manage to get it but the fence was locked so PAF to give me
Thanks Team GraMon for the cache.

20-May-19
I decided that it was time to head to Shep for a few days caching. I was impressed with the quality of the hides in the area. We headed out of town for the afternoon, to explore some of the nearby towns. We were lucky enough to see more bats than I could imagine. Hundreds and hundreds! Thanks so much for placing this cache Team GraMon, I will admit we had to use a PAF for the East Coords as we did not want to upset the bats.

24-Mar-19
The only cussen that was happening here today was us chasing the flies, now we were warned but unfortunately we did not heed the warning and use any. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the park, and oh the bats. I had them living across the river from me in Queensland and I certainly don't miss them. Sorry to anyone I upset by saying this. SL TFTC

09-Mar-19
I didn’t hear any cussen while I was looking for this one.

Thanks for the cache Team GraMon.
Found on 9 Mar 2019 at 7:37 pm.

23-Nov-18
My 5th find for the day was this cool Multi.

I enjoyed doing the work needed for the final and learning more about tree types whilst I was on foot. A well made Multi-Cache which took me on a lovely walk of this awesome nature park in a tidy town with a nice tricky, well hidden hide at the end. Have a Favourite Point for your efforts here Smile

The log within is good and dry, well hidden Wink
All worked out so well, Co-ords at WP's and the final was spot on too according to my smartphones GPS..... "There was no Cussen!! from me today, no way" Wink

SL at 11:11 on Black Friday 2018.
TFTC Team GraMon Smile

26-Aug-18
Wandering up the track from the start co-ords we passed a sign regarding flying foxes along the track, we were therefore surprised after locating the final , signing the log and returning up the side track to notice another sign stating the path we had come down getting all the information was "Closed" to the public
TFTC

08-Apr-18
Absolutely loved this one. I never knew this existed till doing this cache. We have already planned a day to come back. I loved watching all the bats. We got a little side tracked watching everything here. Even found a possum sleeping in a hide. Soo cute. TFTC TNLN SL.

30-Mar-18
A mission to find some caches in my local area brought me here to attempt this cache this sunny Good Friday. Enjoy the stroll to gather info - however the bats made me a little wary. Came unstuck a little on tree 4 but was soon on the right path and after gathering all info was able to locate and sign the cache quickly! TFTC Smile

18-Feb-18
Just passing by and I noticed this cache. I didn't know this park existed. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. My son, who is an arborist, and bird lover, would really like this park. Thanks for bringing me here.

04-Feb-18
A lovely morning for a stroll around Cussen Park. Stopped by muggle to tell us about the bats

27-Jan-18

Today just happened to be the 29th anniversary of my mother's murder Sad and I was also back at work, still quite unwell [xx(], after a week off due to the illness! [xx(]
So after work, I needed some stress relief and a walk in a park sounded good [^]
Thoroughly enjoyed this multi, started when it was still light and finished in the darkness.
Heard frogs Smile, saw bats SurprisedCool, a rabbit Smile and a bird hide Wink
Did the numbers and found the cleverly hidden cache Twisted[^]Smile

Well done. Wet dont usually do multi's cos some can be quite tedious. Not this one... nice little walk, we enjoyed finding the waypoints. Loved the bird watching hut. Clever hide, love ur work.

01-Sep-17
Soooo glad that we had the time to look for this cache today. Set off for the short stroll when we came across a substantial colony of flying foxes. I had to go back to the car and get Geoturtle her camera. Shame she didn't have a film camera as she certainly made sure she got some photos, lol. Something upset them whilst we were sitting watching them so we got to see them unfurl their leathery wings, fly around a little, then hang and re wrap themselves. It was a fabulous site. Thanks so much for bringing us here and thanks for the cleverly hidden cache. A favourite from us.

07-Jul-17
Loved the puzzle involved with it.

06-Jul-17
I wiped out the damp cache container, removed the soggy log and other contents, and replaced it with a new log book in a fresh ziplock bag, added some new toys, and replaced it where it should have been, tucked away securely

04-May-17
Cache is worse for wear. Log book waterlogged and contents pretty slimy. In desperate need of maintenance. Also not put back in its original location so required quite a bit of effort retrieving it with a stick.

30-Nov-16
Passed by here many times on my way to Ky. Nice day for a walk so off I went. It wAs great to see all the native trees and shrubs with name tags. Cache found in its great little hide. Log book a bit sad so signed the piece of paper in there. TNLN. Thanks for making a cache in this park.

13-Oct-16
Visited this great spot today but unfortunately came away without the find. We had a bite for lunch at the rotunda before embarking on an epic stroll, around the park. We thought we had managed to get all the clues down but I'm thinking we messed up somewhere along the way. After a search of our final GZ we resorted to the clue which did not appear like our location. So we decided this can't be too hard so we set off to find the GZ. Mm found the likely spot but there was nothing that appeared to be suitable for a cache - we had also scoured the logs for clues. We took off for another possible location but again came up without the goods. So we had to call it a day. Despite not getting he cache we had a great stroll around a lovely park in the sunshine accompanied by many mosquitoes - yup quite a few bites. Thanks for the cache we will need to try again another time if we pass through the area.

28-Jun-16
This was great, tftc. After getting all the coordinates we had the hassle of a flat phone, had to return to the car to charge for a bit.....but got there in the end Smile

Found with Shezza2012 and Matnat28 on Good Friday. Took rabbit for Easter left frog. TFTC

13-Jan-16
What a sneaky hide. This has definitely been my favorite hide, my partner and i were extremely impressed by the thought and work that went into this one. We spent awhile looking around for it and wasn't until I finally decided to read the hint that we found it.
It was also interesting walking around the park, we live in the area and drive past frequently, but have never been so we didn't actually realize just how big it is, and despite being a scorching 43 degree day we had a wonderful time. TFTC Smile

Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.

Making our way south to Melbourne now, it's amazing seeing all the other travellers heading north! Are we heading the wrong way Surprised

Moving today but before we could move we decided to do a tour of the surrounding towns and find some caches. Wink

Loved this cache. This is how multi's should be a DELIGHT. Loved collecting the info, the walk and then THE FIND. WOW. Good work and a definite fave point.

First try on muti cache with friends. It's nice to walk around the park.

03-May-15
What a wonderful day for a walk in the park! There were some others who had the same idea as us but the spot where the cache is hidden was very secluded so no problem with mugglers. We could find the cache pretty fast but after seeing the big spider who lives there no one wanted to put a hand in a retrieve the container. At the end keeping a eye at our new pet-friend we could grab the bix and sign the logbook. Thanks to Team GraMon for showing us this place

More multis today to go towards My March Madness Multi-Month Challenge. Now I'm on holidays for Easter and filling up the remainder of the month with Multi's, got my quota but what the heck, a few more won't hurt. In the Nagambie area camping on majors Creek.
Off to Shepparton with MuggleWifeDoes to do the shopping tour of all the factory outlets although this year there doesn't seem to be as many left. Luckily that means we can grab a cache or two on the way Smile
Great little park for a walk and a great hide at the end (all in good condition).
Thanks for placing this cache Team GraMon

28-Mar-15
Our first geocache, well hidden and a nice walk. We might be hooked Smile

09-Mar-15
Today, we did a loop from Shepparton to Corop, Colbinabbin, Whroo & a few towns in between.
The weather was great - not too hot, and the roads dry and dusty.
We found a good variety of traditional, multi caches and a few puzzles.
A favourite point, for the well constructed hide.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Team GraMon, for us and others to find.

#6080 This was such a nice and totally unexpected area. It was a beautiful day to head around collecting and collating the information as required. Unfortunately we didn't see a great deal of birdlife out today but the weather was perfect for a wander. After the numbers were crunched we found ourselves at a very appropriate final location were a very well hidden cache was located - nicely done! Our thanks to Team GraMon for an enjoyable multi. Cheers [^]
