There has been a lot of water through here in the last few days.
We checked under every rock and in all the holes (including drilled ones) but couldn't lay our hands on the cache.
(''\(OoO)/'') No luck today but we will be back...

hey found it with out too much trouble however it has been serverly water logged and is in desperate need of repair.
Well these containers are usually associated with wet lands when visible, dry lands when not.
Nice spot, but pretty dry at the moment.

New to the official world of caching but have been involved since 17th of April 2009 (my first cache find). But have only just gotten a log name. Time to log all the wonderful caches that I have been finding since I have been caching with The Empire. My name in the log book is H.
This was my third big caching day with The Empire. By this point, I had sort of developed an eye for spotting caching.
Nice easy find.

my final cache for the day. easy find. could have kept going, but the plan was to make it to 999 today. objective achieved! #999. my 1,000th cache will be my event to be held this wednesday to celebrate 999 caches by the 9/9/09. I did it...and what an adventure
Came to this area to find Grandchildren's Delight but found this instead. Much more to my liking - a peaceful stroll around the wetlands. TFTC
We were momentarily distracted from our mission by the antics of a very cute dog and his owner. They were the only muggles around though as it was very cold - we made a quick grab and didn't linger. TFTC.
This is another great little parkland that would look even better if we could get a bit more water. We felt a little bit exposed with the nearby houses overlooking the entire area but not being able to see anyone and hoping that they were all at work we were very happy when the cache was a quick find.
Thanks Team_Ninja for the cache

Enjoyed visiting this rather nice wetlands. Younger members arrived first and was searching in all the wrong spots, and along comes the rest of the group and cache was found in a jiffy. Interesting choice for a cache container. We're seen one similar in NZ but it was placed slightly out in the open for its purpose. Not quite sure whether this one was meant to be found exactly where we found it, but hid it back as found. Thanks Team_Ninja.
Found at 12.40pm GAFF1 on our "Catch up with Sunbury and Melton" weekend.
Ian & Penny who had already found this cache accompanied us to see how long it would take to locate due to the many difficulties that previous cachers had. We were heading straight for the logical spot, but when we got within 10 metres of GZ, we were pushed to one side and in the very first spot we looked we found the cache which was a relief seeing that were being scrutinised.
A very nice little park - thanks Team_Ninja.

Found on my second attempt at dusk on a cold night. I hate caching with a torch. TNLN TFTC
No rain but certainly a very wintry night with a howling cold wind.
Parked on the other side a made the short walk in the dark, avoiding some muggles wandering nearby.
Cache was found easily. I've actually got one of these containers in my stack of spares, and have also seen one in use at a cache in north east Melbourne.

This was my first cache in Sunbury for quite some time. I was planning on systematically working my way through the town collecting as many caches as time would permit. This one was found at 1:30 pm. Thanks for the cache.
Wet logbook,
Needs replacing as it is smelly, bag too as it appears to be holed.

This was sneaky, and I too have seen this style of container used elsewhere.
Urgent Maintenance required, the log is soaked, though I did manage to sign the log.
A worker at a nearby construction site took an interest in me on the bridge, but this was after the deed had been done. I was plotting the next cache out, but I used the old GPSr is a mobile phone trick and all was well.
The lesson is that stealth is still required up until you have left the scene.

Well, I've certainly seen a few containers like this used before - although I think they're usually placed in a manner that reflects the intended use of the container (maybe this one was too, originally - but, if so, then it's changed location a bit). Anyway, I didn't have too much trouble locating it today and I quite enjoyed the attractive wetlands in which it is situated. Unfortunately, the container was pretty wet and the log sheet was totally soggy - although I managed to make my mark ok - but it probably needs a bit of maintenance.
Thanks once more Team Ninja - a most attractive spot

Found cache where it should have been, didn't find my pen where it should have been....I'll have to come back for a sign. Thanks.
We found our 5th Team Ninja cache at 11:55am as the 8th of 40 on our Sunbury and Beyond Tour IV. As we headed down the hill we saw the spot where we knew that the cache would be. Then, as we go within 40m of that spot we were diverted some 10m to the left of where we thought it would be and "H" made the find. Thanks for the cache from D,H,H & A B-A.
A tricky find that took a while to locate. You're right, we haven't seen one like this before. SL TFTC

I've never seen a cache like that before. It was great to have a little spare time to visit Sunbury and see some innovative cache hides in the area before flying home to Christchurch. Thanks for the cache.
Visited after the Christmas in the Ranges event near Gisborne. This was our second visit here, the first time was just after it was put out, but had no luck then. It was too warm then and way too many muggles about. Today it was about 10 degrees C with a windchill of about minus 10 so we had the place to ourselves. TNLNSL. Thanks Team_Ninja for a clever cache.
Wandered out the long way before the GPS changed its mind which way to go, and then insisted I look on the wrong side of the creek. Soon gave up and found immediately I started looking on the correct side. Thanks.
Found at 1410. A great little spot that would look even better with some water. Took a few minutes to locate cache. Interesting spot for one of these.
Thanks.

We'd tried for this way back in March - and looking back through the logs, I can see why we didn’t find it. Anyway, having finished up work for the day surveying very close by (in Jackson’s Hill Estate), I thought I'd stop by and have another try at finding this one. Good co-ords, and the lack of passers-by made this an easy find. SL at 5pm - just as the cool change blew through! Thanks Team_Ninja for the cache. Regards, 38degsouth.

What a beautiful part of Sunbury.

A very pleasant stroll with our new dog making the most of every spot along the way. She is certainly enjoying her first taste of caching.
A quick find thanks to good coordinates.

Just a quick check up on the cache today. Could geocachers please leave the cache in the hole in the ground as that is what it was dug for.
Lots of possible hiding places here, so I kept my eyes open for the sorts of things that make cachers suspicious and was soon rewarded with the clever hide. The wetlands were looking quite healthy and I could hear frogs, so I guess the weekend's rain has helped. Thanks for the cache, Team_Ninja.

Ummm, not only have I seen a cache like this, I own one
With so many potential hiding places this was a big hard slog searching all the possibilities. It took Uncle Jiffy some many minutes to come up with the cache while I was busy poking elsewhere.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Team_Ninja. This cache would have been much better for us today had the cache been placed in a way that highlighted the container rather than being hidden, away from where it could be seen. Nevertheless, the area is quite nice and will be very pleasant as the plants and trees continue to grow (should we ever get any rain).

Not quite as unique as it may seem having seen a couple of these containers in the past. Eventually located amongst the many many spots it could have been. The container could have been used to better advantage but it was a nice place to visit anyhow. Thanks for the invite.

Found by Mary & David at 0955. Thanks to Ian & Penny's coordinates, we went almost straight to it today. We enjoyed the plantings and the idea that one day the creek would flow through here again. Our thanks to Team Ninja.
No luck for us today. Looked at lots of possible spots in between passing muggles but, having just looked at previous logs, we were probably looking in the wrong place. We'll have to return with Ian & Penny's coords to see if that helps.

Eureka, after 2 previous attempts we are at last successful and wonder how we could have overlooked this elusive container on our first attempt! It just happens that way sometimes.
It is interesting to note that GZ now, is almost exactly in between the first posted co-ords and the latest ones, and in both cases are within what we consider to be a reasonable search distance from either!
We signed the log and made no exchange for an obvious reason.

Our second hiccough for the day - Mr Emu and Demon Boy were unable to find this CCCC @ 5.30 p.m., on our big "get to 500 or bust" day.
We read the logs and thought we saw a suspiciously empty hole, but on reflection this may have been wrong. We were on a numbers run today, so only gave it about 15 minutes before moving on. Thanks all the same for showing is this nice area Team_Ninja. We'll watch the logs, and plan to return on a more leisurely "clean up Sunbury" day in the future.

Find # 2279 and 2nd of the day at 12:52pm. On a day out by myself to Sunbury and beyond. I was a bit worried as there were 3 DNF's on my print out but after a long hard search about 10m from GZ I found it. TNLN, Signed Log, Thanx Team _Ninja....
Sorry everyone I have been away for a few days in Wilsons Prom so I couldn't log anything. I will check the cache in the next few days to see that it is still there. My apologies to everyone who logged a DNF. Just for future you are looking for a sprinkler at the edge of the creek bed.
Hi There - Could you PLEASE correct the coords as everyone (EVERYONE) says it is way out. Went there again, even allowing for this, but even with clue still a DNF.
Could the owner please update/check/whatever, Thanks.
Could the owner please update/check/whatever, Thanks.
Make that THREE DNF's in a row. We spent 30mins+++++ there, overturing EVERY rock, checking for FALSE rocks, left no stone unturned, even examined ALL the bridge too. Seems it is not there, Hmmmmmmmmm.
I think the co-ords might need a bit of work. As Chewin' said it was found about 10 meters from GZ. Interesting cache container, but we have seen them before.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
This was the one time we really struggled with some less than accurate co-ords. After a good long search I called Feathetop and we found the cache a good ten metres further upstream along the creek. We did record the co-ords at GZ but I left my folder at work and I am now at home so if I find it or them I'll post our co-ords.
