Grabbing a few different hides while passing through the area.Nice to have an easy enough find here. Thanks Team Crackers for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Great look out, interesting information., found with monica_is_evil. Thanks for the cache
The day was forecast to be one of those rare pleasant days in winter... so I took the opportunity to drive down to South Gippsland Shire and Baw Baw Shire to hunt out a few caches... the things you do when you take on *LGA Challenges*...
After a visit to Nyora for some cache, it was on to *Poowong*... what a great name for town! I stopped on my way into town to check out this cache. A rather *too easy* find as it hadn't been tucked away properly... hopefully I have done a better job of it.
Thanks **Team Crackers** for this cache.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Team Crackers for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

On a road trip to Waratah Bay with our caching friends and picking up a few caches along the way. This was the sixth cache for the day and what a great little lookout with a fabulous view.
It was Mrs Biggles who made the find while the men folk checked out the information and the views. TFTC, the information, and bringing us to this spot, where we may not have stopped had it not been for caching. TNLN.

Lovely spot for a cache, it ticks all the boxes and fortunately we have a good day to enjoy the views, at least the cache is dry unlike most we've found today. Gets a fav from me for an interesting story.

Well this was a pleasant surprise! A nice location with lovely views and a bit of local history told in chainsaw sculptures. We've never been to Poowong that I can recall however today we decided to take a different route rather than hammering along the South Gippy Hwy like a witless auto-drone! Anyway while my mate & I were busy taking in the sights our other 'alves busied themselves seeking out the cache. The "Commander in Chief" of my unit (Mrs B - my other 'alf) pinged the cache before my mate's missus which "got her nose out of joint" so I know she'll double down on the next cache we look for to make sure she gets to it first!
Lunch time now!

Spending a few days on the road with Wilbert as we travel to and from the Whittlesea Mega event.
Having a great time finding an array of different types and D/T rated caches.
Thanks to all the CO’s for hiding your particular cache.
Day 3 and we’re hunting LGA’s today.
My apologies for the boiler style log.

Mega in Whittlesea is done! Today we are going around Melbourne doing LGA's and labs. Pretty cold today, but good caching.

It's the first full day hanging out with Big Matt, cruising around seemingly arbitrary bits of outer Melbourne and beyond ahead of the [Whittlesea Mega-Event](https://coord.info/GC8EW40). I've been reasonably ignorant about the plan, and given I'm also the least familiar with the area, I'm not driving, so willingly along for the ride.
We're now headed north, well beyond the halfway mark of our day, and somewhat to break up the drive, and see where we're going, I'm scrolling the map. This geocache looks like an interesting one to stop at along this winding road. Why not?
Sadly, I had just noticed that my trusty pen had broken, and that would remain a sore theme for the rest of the day. And our grey, ever-changing day was now raining once more as we parked in the little lookout. An interesting spot to stop.
Matt jumped out and make a quick find., With him signing the logbook, I admired the artworks and noticed the sheep in the paddock below. Curious about the valley ecosystem beyond, it was semi-obscured by cloud and rain today. A good stop and quick geocache find, thank for that, Team Crackers

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 12057.
The poor little lambs watch as we made the find on this one. Captain Terror and I were out and about finding caches and ticking off LGA’s and we visited this spot.
Thanks Team Crackers for the cache.

A quick find between Grantville and Traralgon and we were lucky as it’s just got dark.
A Shame as this is a good scenic view. We can just make out a large volume of water below us and see the shape of the hills around us.
The elevaton is high and quite windy and cold.
We can read the information boards with our torches.
TFTC better views next time by light, but thanks for drawing us here.

Tftc teamcrackers glorious winter day. Pulled up to the sound of bleating lambs - how appropriate!
Again, started bucketing down just as we needed to search so used the hint. Tftc
Absolute brilliant place for a cache, thanks for bringing me here. Must favourite this one. Great views. TFTC
Nice spot here, with a lovely view. After waiting for a muggle on horseback to ride away, I quickly found the cache. Thank you!
With an event in Nyora to attend and one day left of the year to accumulate some finds, buhfuhguh and I teamed up for one last 2020 caching run around the area, picking up a few odd caches here and there and enjoying the peaceful country roads along the way.
"Why do they call it Sculpture Park?"
"You won't believe this..."
buhfuhguh had previously found this one, so he watched my search from the car as I scrambled around looking for the cache.
Aided by accurate coords, I managed to spy this one fairly quickly and pulled it out to find a stowaway snail on the container.
I let it be and signed the logbook before carefully replacing things back and hidden away.
Thanks to Team Crackers for hiding this cache!

Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.
Please stay home and be Safe.

There is no way that we were going to pass up on a Wooden Work cache. As we expected, it was worth the stop. Thanks for the cache.
Out for caching day around Poowong and surrounds with a friend. A lot on interesting stuff here - beautiful houses, farms and awesome views. Saw cattle, sheep, llamas, fox, and more. Also saw a dead snake. I received interesting information about ragwort, stone fruit and fox. I had a great time finding your cache Team Crackers, thank you so much for placing it. Clever sculptures here. A fav from me.
Found it would never have know this place was here Fantastic the kids loved the carvings
What a view as we travel the area in Moho Wally, not to mention increable carvings, container a little bit damaged do I put the log in a ziplock bag to protect it@ 1022 tftc
What a fantastic little pull off. A few great pieces of art here. Views were amazing on this clear day. Geikids had a fun time finding this one.
Driving along from Lang Lang to Korumburra and then Nyora for caching day. Very wet but beautiful fresh air. Lovely sculptures. Fav for me. Found it. Thanks Team Crackers for placing this cache.
Amazing creations using a chainsaw, some people are just so talented. Cache found quickly and easily.
Thank you!
Container is cracked and some paperwork has been damaged/ wet. But my kids still loved finding it.

On the way home through beautiful countryside and came across this interesting local sculpture and great views of the surrounding area. Amazing the craftsmanship in these works and the cache was an easy find. Thanks Team Crackers for placing and maintaining this cache and bringing us here.
Oh, boy have these logs been on the back burner……… with the combination of a long hiatus and my phone with all my saved cache data of the ones I had yet to log being supposedly lost. With my eng/comp sci friend who managed to mess around with the phone and recover the data….. hooray time to celebrate. So that's why these logs are so late…. either thanks for the cache and the adventure….. and sorry for the generic log.
Find #4612
Since I did the Oxfam Trailwalker event (and numerous training walks prior) with Lost_and_Found_79 we have threatened to arrange a caching day out together. We finally agreed on the Grand Final public holiday and we headed south east to an area where neither of us had found many caches previously. We were on the way home here but we still had time to divert via Poowong and Nyora for a few more caches. I've done a few of the Wooden Work caches (usually multis) so we couldn't miss stopping here as we were passing. In the end we parked very close and it was a quick find. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Team Crackers.

Annoying Tarbit and I decided to head to this area today for some caching. It ended up being quite eventful, with a rather diverse range of caches attempted (and mostly found!).
I had barely jumped out the car here when AT had discovered the cache. With only really a few areas to choose to look, it turned out to be right next to where he had stopped the car. As AT replaced the cache, I read about the Gippsland Earthworm some more and enjoyed the views across the hills. TFTC

A nice spot here to view the sculptures. A nice view as well and an informative sign about massive earthworms.
A quick find of the cache.
Lid has a hole in one corner but the contents were ok.
Thanks Team Crackers

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
