With a snack to finish, my small companion stayed in the car while I supplier the GPSr to one level, then to another for an easy find.
It wouldn't be a caching run through homerjay territory without having to deal with at least one mouldering logbook. This one was still signable, so no big deal.

Found the cache and nearby an interesting looking cocoon of some sort. The logbook is soaked and starting to go mouldy but still managed to sign it. TFTC.

Today was another epic cache run with best mate Ahomburg thru the Yea, St. Andrews and Hurstbridge regions.
Took a moment to spot but has reported by previous logs the log is wet but we were able to sign using the right type of pen.
A nice area and thanks for bringing me here, onwards to the next one.

Find # 1866
Well, it is a fine winters morning and again time for my caching partner in crime sedgwickDave and I to head out on another caching run, headed towards St Andrews, Hurstbridge and the Nutfield area. We usually cache on a Saturday, but decided to change it up a bit and do a Sunday this time.
Dave stayed up, while I went down and I soon had the cache in hand. The log was quite damp, but still signable. A nice spot
Thanks to Homerjay73 for the cache. TNLN.

As per the log, this cache has a water issue and the log book is soaked through.
25/06/2012 23:05 After a DNF at the nearby DUFF MAN!! I knew this was close so chose to grab it instead. EagleEye was behind the wheel and got me within a few meters. I found that , just as last time I took the "hard" way to GZ but on arrival I saw that it is easier to get back the other way. This time I signed the log and replaced it. As the container is fairly lightweight the contents don't remain dry and the log book is completely sodden.. I shall add a NM as well TTFC homerjay73 TNLN SL

We parked at the wrong end of the bridge, and the gizzmo was playing up big-time today, so i began my search on the wrong side as well [:o)]. Eventually, it did settle and i was soon at the correct GZ … where i found the container on the ground . I signed the log and put it back where i thought it should be … i hope its where it was intended to be. Thanks homerjay73.
just going back through my finds on the gps must have failed to log this one earlier tftc

Found at 5.10pm. Had gone out and about trying to do a clean up of the area with xambo4u and also introducing syzygy50 to the pastime. Another of those we had driven past on a previous occasion - didn't stop last time as too many people in the yard of the nearby residence. Today Mr headed to GZ and quickly had the cache in hand. [B)] could not find. will have to go back soon. thought i looked everywhere, almost slipped in the creek. lol. glad no one was around to see. need more clues, or someone taller.
1.45 Just the two of us out today trying my new birthday present. Its working well and I think I will keep it. The best thing about country caching is there is no one about to pressure you. We took time out to drive around the affected areas of the dreadful bush fires of some 13 months ago. They have done a wonderful job in the rebuilding, and vegetation has come back so quickly, it is such a lovely area to come to.
Went to the wrong side of the bridge to start with (as usual), checked it out, to much water to cross so back track and go the other side. Once there, easy find, cache in excellent condition. Qick sign and on we go
Thanks for the cache

Plenty of water has found its way down this stream in the past few days, very muddy. after a bit of searching and a fear that it had been washed away i checked the hint and cache was soon in hand.

16th of 21 on another night caching run with my good caching mate Marty (Quasar3671). Tricky one to get to once located, but Marty made the climb and i signed the log for both of us. TFTC.
Previously visit, didn't climb high enough. Really needs a bit of a safety warning. Bottom of the pileon had water lapping up against it and you need to be agile to get too the cache. Can understand why I missed it first time. Took stagetree pathtag and will try to work out what to do with it. Left nothing.
Found on another mega day caching with bogonghazy. A little bit tricky to find - was glad I had bogonghazy to grab it coz I think I would have had trouble.
Now which level do we look?
Luckily Reesylou knew the song alluded to in the hint,
and after a quick search, the tricky hide was spotted, and then, eventually retrieved.
Thanks again HJ73, SL

Great co-ordinates meant that after a quick look, then a second more thorough search, the cache was located. I love these bridges but they do have a heap of hidey holes!
Spent about 20 minutes looking in what I thought was all the nooks and crannies of the bridge on 1 side, but may have been looking on the wrong side of the creek or not high enough. Looked at cross bars for footprints, but didn't see any. Did find 1 little critter that I expect may have been in the cache. WIll put on watch list to see if it was muggled or not..
Finally got back to do this cache. There were a few muggles around when we first came past this cache on a mega cache weekend for us. Lovely little secluded spot for a cache and a nice bridge to scope out. Nicely concealed. Left our signature PathTag and signed the Log. T4TC
Took us a while to find this one but as we have done a lot Homerjay's caches today i had to find this one. Me being Like Homerclees, Prophead-a -clees i could not stop until i found it. Looking with Maggot-man we finally found it. Love the Simpsons TFTC

It definitely helps to be reasonably tall and nimble for this one. I'm nowhere near as nimble as I once was, and I suspect not as tall either, but we found this one after a good look around. Yet another cache where it helps to pay attention to the GPS, and not just look at the "obvious" hiding places.

Didn't find it because the locals were having a big barbecue only a short distance away. Wandering under a bridge on a very quiet road would've probably got a few wondering what we were up to.

Thank you once more homerjay73 for another enjoyable outcome for us.

Found at 2.30pm GAFF1. We ended up looking at both sides of the creek for this one until we settled for a particular spot which we had discounted on arrival as being too difficult to get to. Glad to have found it as we were just about to go for the hint. Thanks
Found by Mary & David at 1450. Stared out on the wrong side, but spotted quickly when we corrected that. Loved the views to the mountains as we drove down the hill towards the parking spot. Our thanks to homerjay73 once more.
Coords were good for a difficult location. I enjoy exploring this great old bridges, they're full of character. No muggles here today either which made things a lot easier, caching on weekdays has its advantages.

Found @ 16:30 after a short look and a bit of acrobatics. I was feeling pretty good with my fat self for getting this cache and as I was walking back to the car a vicious dog came charging out of the nearby property with many growls and bearing of teeth. It looked like it wanted to taste me but I made a dash for the car and lucky for me it was open. TNLNSL Thanks For The Cache
Number three for the foggy morning was interesting for the ingenuity showed in being placed in the most awkward place. Didn't have the pet monkey and had to resort to an approach alluded to by the previous logger. Success anyway around 11:45. Thanks HJ73.

Found at 1530. On arrival to GZ it was obvious where it was going to be, it was just a matter of how it hidden. As it was, I tired in a couple of spots where I would like to hide it and it was quickly found. I'm sure a couple of muggles driving past were wondering what we were doing parked there.

We found our 9th Homerjay73 cache at 1:10pm as the 2nd of 17 on our Dry and Dusty Northern Suburbs Afternoon. We arrived at this one to find that workmen were just on a break from doing a repair job underneath the bridge. We had just wandered under from the wrong side when "John" one of the repairmen came down the other bank. I asked about the bridge and it appears that as the rattling of the bridge perpetually loosens the bolts, they were replacing them with nylon lock nuts. As they were working towards the cache location, it seemed very likely that they were going to come across the cache at any moment, so we pre-empted their find by explaining geocaching and what we were looking for. "John" then promptly looked straight above his head and immediately found the cache for us. He was quite interested and our timely intervention may have saved this cache just in the nick of time, we hope. Thanks for the cache from D,H & A B-A.
Had a bit of trouble with this one and left to do Duff Man before coming back and trying again. Second time around we said Doh!!! I thought I looked there before.

Another nice, easy find in a rather out-of-the-way spot . I must say that this is the flimsiest container I think I've ever seen - a ziplock bag would be stronger, I think! Still, it's pretty much out of the weather so it may last (I hope).
