Great hide and another well deserved break from the doom highway. Thanks Big Matt and Shell
I would like to have stopped at all these Remembrance caches but in the interest of harmony in the car as well as the need to reach our destination I tried for only 2. One I didn't find but this one I did. Thanks Big Matt and Shell for placing the cache.

Driving from Canberra to Sydney to catch a flight at 4 PM home to Brisbane (caching 3 states in 1 day ). This was a long drive so we decided to pull off for a break and make a find. We chose this one. Pulled in and noticed a police officer doing paper work on the bonnet of his jeep. Dr THR approached GZ after a little bee dance and the officer didn't take any notice at all. Nice easy find. This is our cache for NSW today!!! TFTC Big Matt and Shell
Who needs co-ords...geotrail and suspicious camo led us straight to the cache. Really love the sentiment and great detail of the caches in this series. Have been passed twice before, but way too many muggles to attempt the hunt. No such worry today, glad to have the smiley face for this one! Took a magnet, left several swaps. No tb's in cache. Tftc xo

TFTC. Finally found on our 3rd attempt as previous attempts found the place filled with muggles in their vans and we thought it a bit rude to go flashing torches around when they were parked so close to the start of the trail. This time we got lucky and geohubby made the find while I stayed with the sleeping geokids in the car.
Back on the highway after a GPS detour through the backroads. A quick stop. We were glad the cache was well away from the rest area as there were plenty of resters .
Thanks Big Matt and Shell

Good one!!! Good series also. I liked this one - the GeoSchnauzers got a walk, I got a walk, and we found a good cache. TFTC!!
Would like to have stopped at all the VC rest areas, last for today, another time may be? Thanks for the caches along the way. SL
although there were muggles galore in the parking area, it being the last day of the Easter break and a zillion cars heading back to Sydney, I still managed to find this cache without being seen. Easy find thanks to the hing and an accurate GPS. TFTC
Had to stop cause it was freezing on the bike and lo and behold. There was a gc. Thanks
Quick stop to refresh on the way back home. Followed the well formed trail to the obvious spot and quickly recovered and signed the log. Took TB for further revels. Thanks for the excuse to stop, and thanks for the history.
Thanks for this cache. I looked in other obvious places first then had to step back and view from a different side. Dropped TB.
Today we headed off to Moss Vale for a couple of days.
Travelling down the highway we stopped to find a few caches.

Making the trip from Canberra to Penrith today and thought I'd grab a few caches on the way in an attempt to achieve the challenge cache: GC3QPJ Well Rounded sized cache challenge (obtaining 5 different sizes in one day). I decided I'd take it one step further and see if I could achieve all 6 sizes in one day.
This was my third find, made at 0950 this morning.
Quick dive off the Hume into this rest area. It was a nice place to stop, retreive a cache and have a think about those who gave so much.
Thanks for the cache.

Quick find while returning from Goulburn. Slight detour to grab some caches on the way. SLTN..TFTC
Walk around to the GZ as didn't noticed the trail but the cache was quickly in hand.
Thanks!
Thanks!
A couple of muggles walking their dogs, mid journey, when they drove off... We took off to find the cache. TFTC
A couple of muggles around which we avoided. A nice rest as well!
Found on the way to the central coast.
Found on the way to the central coast.
Found by husband while having a quick stop for geokid to use the amenities. Met some friendly geocachers at the GZ - always nice to meet other geocachers out on the field! Safe travels! TFTC!
Found it on way home from Canberra. Thanks for the history lesson in the cache description.
So many muggles around today, but we still went for a little walk, once at gz the muggles can't see you. TFTC
A busy little rest area but I managed a furtive little bush walk to come up with the goods. Thanks and cheers.
Found it after another necessary stop for my extreme fatigue. Love caching! Good to have it a little off the track. Picked up a trackable and did some swapping. TFTC.
Found during a business trip to Canberra. Great day and TFTC! Dropped of a TB so that can continue its journey with someone else!
I enjoy these finds as I regularly drive to Sydney for client meetings. Always good to help with getting fresh air and a stretch. TFTC
Ok, so it was time for specimenX and myself to invade some of the Northern parts taking our Geomission to Mittagong, Berrima and Bowral. This one had been planned for a week or so, so preparations were made on the impending long day / night adventures. Esky - Check, Water - Check, Fruit - Check, Batteries - Check, Bug Repellent - Check, Caffeine - Check, Car Fuelled - Check, Geotools - Check and GPS loaded - Check.
It seems we had everything ready to go, however Rapidlywild had a little snooze in and the planned 0800hrs start turned into a 0830hrs start. Ooops. So once we were on the road, there was a little while before we reached our first cache. We had decided to commence the mission just outside of Goulburn as there were a number of caches along the hwy I hadn't collected.
In total, today I made 44 finds and 3 DNF's - not a bad batting average if I say so myself. By the time we returned to Canberra, it was almost 0400hrs and we were exhausted. Not our biggest mission however 19.5 hrs isn't anything to cry over either lol.
specimenX had already collected this one so this was a stop for me. Locating the cache was easy and this little rest stop was nice and busy with the fruit van parked close by. Dropped a TB for next finder.
Thanks for the cache Big Matt and Shell

TFTC and thank you for the great location. Caches like this make it a worthwhile activity. T TB left bubble bath
Nice find on a quick stop home from Canberra. Left TB. TFTC

And so the adventure north begins. I was driving to Sydney today, about to get a flight to Cairns, and decided to stop for a quick cache. The first in a total of 22 finds for the holiday. My family stopped nearby along with a lot of other campervans and I made my way over to the hide. A great tree here, climbed up into to get a better view of the area! A nice quick find. Log signed, cache replaced. TNLN TFTC Big Matt and Shell, I almost have found all of these along the highway!

I did some of the Remembrance Driveway caches by BM&S on my way to Sydney. I saw many other caches on my GPS display along the route. But the Remembrance Driveway series was placed where it was safe to Stop, Revive, Survive and Sign. Therefore I ended up five times at a cache of this series. TFTC BM&S!
Geocache #813.
Found on Friday, 13th September 2013 at 6:29 PM.
Conditions: overcast.
Current streak #45 days.
Today's finds 40 of 46.
My 712th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. With just over a week of the competition remaining, I had some leave owing and decided to take it for a geo-adventure in the Australian Capital Territory and Canberra. What a way to celebrate Canberra's centenary, as well as the Federal election!
On the sixth and final day of my trip, I continued the search around the Canberra area in the morning and then picked up a number on the way back to Sydney in the evening. Once at GZ, it was a quick find and I soon had the CIH and signed the log. TFTC Big Matt and Shell.

2nd find on our way to Sydney.... With Indianagleeson jazora and captain t Russell. Tftc
Nice hide, thanks! An awesome way to break up the boring drive to Sydney, I like this series of caches!
Gorgeous spot. Picked up a trackable but the code doesn't work. Fifth on my way to Sydney.
Not a cache to search for on a wet day! Very wet feet, but great excuse to stop. Even saw Mr Kangaroo. TFTC
Muggles busy having their cuppa way over there didn't worry us. Neither did the truckie asleep in his cab right in front of us. We sauntered off for a little bushwalk to stretch our legs & sneak our mark in a cache along the way.
Another great cache spotted a possible search location upon parking the car. Tftc
Perfect Hint - we really liked this one - nice and easy for the geokids - TFTC
Grabbed after visiting a friend over Saturday night, now heading back. It was a great catch up, and a great caching trip. I've really enjoyed taking little breaks along the way, and enjoying the different areas, some you'd never know existed without caching.
Been trying to catch up on way old caches for ages. TFTC's everyone your cache hides are certainly appreciated and Happy Caching to you ALL!!

Dropped in at the rest stop on a trip to Sydney from Canberra on what was a glorious Autumn day! There were a few muggles parked at the benches, but I parked down past them close to the cache. Nice big tree to hide behind to make the find and sign the log Thanks for another one Big Matt and Shell!
Nice place to stop with Bingley on trip from Wagga to Berrima and learn about an Australian hero
A chance to stop and have a rest. Of course we had to get a cache while we were stopped
