Dysgraphia got me as I scribed the final coords for this, a while ago now. Having never gone back to check the info and calculated finals, I wandered to GZ at lunchtime today, to come up empty handed. Back to work for the afternoon, I checked the answers to the questions, redid the sums and noticed the error in my final coords. Ah, that'll make a difference. Work done for the day, I passed by the revised GZ and voila, cache in hand nice and quickly. It seems incorrect numbers will result in miserable failure...not really news to us, is it. [?]Name quickly added to the log, container replaced as found I continued on.Cheers calumphing four.
Confirmed coordinates my coordinates I gathered at WP 1 were correct via a previous finder and there is really only one place the cache could be hidden.Nothing found so Ive put a temporary cache here and notified the CO (though it doesn't appear they are still active) so the game can continue.I really enjoy these types of multis.TFTC!
Out for long stroll before it gets too hot. And trying to find a few geocaches along the way.No problems, finding the required information. And then I caught one extra Victoria Cross. I wonder if others have missed that? Even though that put the final location, in the opposite direction from where I was headed next, I decided to make the grab.Arrived and searched. And searched. Everywhere. Its entirely possible that the original container is gone. But I was able to sign something. Which may keeps people attempting this older geocache.Im perfectly happy to change this to a note or a DNF if requested to by the owner.
Confused about the coordination, as does not seem like something that's easy to mess up, but coords took us to Lowerlight.
Hasn't been since March 2021, geohubby and I looked in all the obvious hiding spots but did not find. Could be missing??
Multi for the day, a sombre change from churches and former churches. Thanks for bringing me to WP1, Calumphing_Four.
I had a spare 20 minutes in between finishing work and having to pick up my Son so a quick cache was in order.
I carefully read the plaque noting the dates on the plaque and comparing them to the date this cache was placed.
Coordinates looked good so I made my way over to GZ and made a quick find.
Thanks for the cache The Calumphing_Four.

Returning from Oz Day duties at Playford.
Did the arithmetic.
Worked out GZ.
Stopped carefully.
Found the obvious spot but only part of the cache was there.
Replaced missing components including a new log sheet. Hopefully this one will last.
The original magnet has been moved to the inside of the container to decrease the risk of the two separating.

I think I came up with the right answer I found a magnet at my GZ but no cache. I may need to recheck my calculations.
Found on a JAMS(JJ52, allister w, mogni and Sir Spectre) journey Port Adelaide to Golden Grove. We found some caches that had challenges to get to them and some that needed TOTTs. A good days caching even in 36 degree heat. TFTC
Another Sunday caching expedition was organised with the JAMS team (JJ52, allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) tackling some solved puzzles, caches where we need TOTTs, some multis and a few trads thrown in. [^] Although the temperature wasn't too bad when we started at Port Adelaide by the time we got to Golden Grove it was rather hot and a couple of walks that were planned got postponed for another time. We had a fun (long) day and found quite a variety of caches and didn't stray too much from our planned route.
Thanks for the cache The Calumphing_Four.

Did the hard work about a year ago but hungry won over going to gz then and it's taken me that long to come back. I don't get out north that often. quick find.
The JAMS team ( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni and sir_spectre )was out and about again. This time we started in Port Adelaide and slowly made our way to Golden Grove. With a 34 degree day we reduced on some of the planned hiking due to the heat. Thanking the co's that replaced the missing caches on any of our days out, letting us find them on this run. This is also the last planned run for the year.

Today I needed a multi and this one was quite close to home so off I went and had a look at the memorial plaque in the slight rain. X was easy to find but Y I wasn’t sure of. 2 locations look obvious so off I went to the closest one and yep it was right. After a break in traffic a quick find was made. TFTC

It has been collected by a Portugese geocacher but you can virtually find it in another cache elsewhere.

I quite enjoyed the sculpture here - something a bit different to the usual war memorials. It was good also to be able to read the background in the Cache Description too, which added to my appreciation of the artwork.
The required information was easily collected in the quiet of the early morning before it got too warm and, after a short walk, the cache was quickly located (although it had fallen off its magnet). Logbook signed, cache replaced and secured, then it was on to another cache as I headed back home again.
Thanks The Calumphing_Four for the cache.

Had a work meeting nearby and was a bit early so decided that I had time to pop in and find a nice simple multi. Parked near the listed coordinates and wandered over to gather the required information. Calculated the coordinates for GZ and decided to take the advice and walk to GZ. At GZ located the cache in the first place I looked. Gotta love that. Signed the log and replaced. Multi No 100 which now qualifies me for one of the SFE challenge caches.

Spent the day finding some Multis and puzzles with the geodaughter. a quick find was made at GZ and cache and contents are fine. TFTC
Mr Tardis tried this one a few months ago and didn't find it. I suspected there was an error in my numbers. After a recheck at home and looking at a maps I realised my error.
The three of us stopped at GZ today on the way home. Mini Tardis found the cache in the first place he looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache The Calumphing_Four.

We rushed this one sunday so back today to take some time to get right numbers final was busy spot but a quick adjust of shoe laces did the trick TFTC
Really like this type of war memorial multi there is a big series of them in the North of the U.K. Aptly named the War Memorial series. This memorial was lovely, collected the relevant data and headed to GZ. Realized I had obviously misread the sign but made a sensible recalculation and was soon at the correct GZ. TFTC trying to boost my multi numbers and this one was only 7 minutes drive from work so perfect for a lunch break wander.
Found while out caching with LaStorm15 on a wet and wintery day. We arrived at the published co-ords with the rain belting down on us. Quickly recovered the required information, ran to the car to work out the final, could see that it was not far away so off we scoot via Maccas to get some much overdue sustenance. Arrived at the final, well so we thought, couldn't see any likely hiding spots, especially considering the hint nothing worked or made sense.
We came to the realisation that we must have missed something (our success rate with multi's is pretty poor anyway) on the plaque so back to the published co-ordinates, another more careful this time read over the plaque and we realised our mistake. Off we headed, with the right final this time (fingers crossed). Arrived at the final, now the hint made sense, signed the logbook and off home to warm up again.

First find for the week and a quick easy multi. Wet under foot near GZ but Cache all good. TFTC
Mogni was in town for business again and tonight was my allocated night for catch up and caching. Picked her up after work and started the slow caching route back to her overnight digs.
So we make this quick detour, grab the information, go to close to GZ, wade through a sea of sour sobs, adding wet shoes and pant's legs to the wet and muddy knees from the previous cache, jump fence, grab cache and mogni THEN says. Already done this one. Oh good grief.
Oh well my name is now also in the book.
Thanks The Calumphing_Four for the cache.

This one has been in the making for some time! . Collected the clues ages ago and did the calculations, but after searching GZ several times came up empty handed . Eventually decided to re-do the calculations and found the photo, I'd taken before (thanks to a lesson learned previously - photograph all clues!) . Discovered an error and calculated a new GZ. In the area today and an easy find was made. TNLN SL Thanks for the cache and the adventure!
A simple multi ................... but we stuffed up the number of VC winners .... quickly sorted out when we realized our error and the prize quickly located!! Thanks calumping four for the adventure!!
I think I missed someone.... but after having an idea of where the GZ may be Jan and Cp fixed and made the find TFTFun
My last cache for the day... a Multi I haven't done a Multi for some time so why not this one close to my last Trad find from BFE. I went to a lovely small park. Real True-Blue Aussie Heroes here [^]. Gathered the required info and I was off to GZ. Like Laighside Legends I found myself in a spot that had nothing metal so i read the logs and corrected my error and found the object which had a cache attached [^]. I too, missed that extra VC to gain the correct co-ords [:o)] The cache was found in the end and that's what matters [^] SL at 14:26 on Sun 19 Mar 2017. Re-attached the cache to it's magnetic hold and I was on my way... to a late Subway lunch [^] (Teryaki Chicken [^]) The cache and it's contents are all good and dry TFTC calumphing four
Loved the search for this one. The park was absolutely divine; and it is not always the destination that we arrive to that has the impact but the journey. Thank you for the cache!
Loved this cache as it was full of great information and not to difficult to work out and find. Tftc
Great cache I hadn't seen the sculptures before and it was great to know the meaning behind them. Tftc
This is a great little place which i would have never know about if it wasn't for the cache.

Its nice to occasionally have time to grab a cache at lunch. TFTC Calumphing Four
Only 500 meters from my new workplace. I was called up to go to Vietnam in the early 70's as my marble was pulled out if the barrel. I was studying at the time so I could defer my service. The Whitlam government was elected with a mandate to pull out of Vietnam, so thankfully I didn't go. I didn't fancy getting killed or having to kill someone else. Thanks calumphing_four for my little lunchtime adventure.
A cache in recognition of some true blue aussie heroes was a worthy multi, gathered the info and made a typical type GZ hide find, great memorial location at the start of the multi TFTC calumphing_four
Cat took the dog for a walk or two today. (Training her to smell old eclipse mints [:X] )
Quite a bit of history tucked away in this suburb.
Despite previous log it turns out the numbers are correct, just need to read all the way
As predicted, ended as well as any war...
(Wish they'd do this with street names in memory of anyone, not just war heroes)

Found It!
I went to the start point, read the sign and then made my way to GZ. While it was a nice place for a cache, there was nothing metallic there. So a quick look at the numbers and I realized that if I add one to Y you get a good looking spot for a cache. So off I went to my new GZ and quickly found the cache on the large metal item! So I must have missed one of the VCs - make sure you look closely folks!

Went for a short stroll in the park. The rats eyes are working overtime. Tftc
Found this one today. Geokids were really excited to complete their first multi! Thanks for the history lesson. Had to battle a plague of ants at both sites which made the find even more satisfying in the end. Great Hide!!!
Stopped for lunch at a nearby bakery on a lovely day for geocaching. Looking at the plaque made one think "but for the grace of God (not "winning the birthday lottery"), there could I be (on the list)". I have every respect for the Vietnam veterans and had the privilege of being able to help some during my previous life, pre-retirement... Stuffed up one of the numbers which took me to middle of a field. Made an assumption and the cache was in my hands in a giffy. Thanks calumphing four.
Tftc we had kids with us and they were sad they couldn't go over the fence to get it
Solved this one a whole back but managed to grab today
I found myself on the wrong side of the man made barrier
A quick look at the hint and I soon found a path leading me there

Actually was our first cache found some weeks ago! Like the tricky business and the fact it was so close to home! But there was no pencil so we had to come back again, which took longer than we liked. First time was with geobaby and geohubby, this time with geodog, crazy sister (whom I have now hooked on geocaching) and her SLOWEST DOG IN THE WORLD!!
Had t visit Home Of 12 Volt just up the road.
Did this one after going there. As it turns out I can't count as I was going to be on the other side of Main North Rd. No way could it be over there.
Took a punt that I couldn't count and came up with a find.
Glad to get this one as it's been on my unfound DNF list for over 3 years.

Found in between the 'Out to Launch' lunch and 'Spaced Out Geocaching' dinner events. Thanks for the cache Calumphing Four!
Thanks for taking us to the wonderful start location which we have passed many times before but never stopped to reflect at. [email protected] TFTC
Having completed stage one only to not find a muggled cache, Owl was pleased to see this back on line. Some fresh calculations gave her a good idea where it would be. A quick detour after church and success. (Religious caching – and in full uniform!) Thanks for the excuse to stop at another of those places Owl has driven past numerous times but not known was there. Have a favourite point for teaching her something new.
We live just around the corner from WP 1 and often stop by to look at the plaque on the way to the shops. TFTC

Calumphing four thanks for quick response in re-locating the cache to the revised GZ.
I also spent some time wandering around the original GZ looking for the cache, but alas did not log the missing cache.
Hopfully the new GZ will be safe from the muggles.
PS the Vietnam monument is quite inspiring, and thanks for bringing it to the attention of many others.

Cache has been moved and is now an eclipse tin. Please make note of the changes in the coordinates for the final, and that fact that the calculation of Y has changed slightly.
Should be a 5 second find at the end, as the start is the place to enjoy.

Walked over to GZ to find the fox hole empty and very exposed now and nolonger usable for a cache hide
As this cache is all about the start, I'll go smaller and magnetic and try to get it back on Wednesday; since I'm leaving Mawson Lakes on 12th July.

Owl enjoyed the sculptures, but failed to find the cache at GZ. She poked a stick in every likely spot and even consulted a previous finder to confirm she had the right coordinates. Despite some specific instructions and an extensive search area (just in case), she came up blank. Given the last log and the time since it was last find, she is pretty confident it’s been muggled.
Have travelled past the nice memorial many times but never stopped before.
Numbers noted and co-ords loaded headed off to GZ. Found it rather untidy but as description mentions this does match the end of the Vietnam conflict.
Had a pretty good look but was unsuccessful. Discussed the problem with a previous finder and was assured I was in the right spot and given a hint. Returned the next day for a more extensive search but still came up empty handed.
Hope to get previous finders to GZ for another look in the near future.
Will be watching.
Thanks for the search calumphing four

Gotcha!
Visit the initial coords.
Gather the required information.
Head off home because I'm late for dinner already.
Have a look later and come up with GZ coordinates.
Check on google maps
Hang On! Something's wrong here! That can't be right!
Go back and check everything...
Ahhhhh... I see what you did there! Sneaky C4.
Cache finding, too, was a bit trickier than I expected. But in then end, log book was located, signed, and replaced safely back where it was found.
Thanks C4
ZZzz....
Went to the first part of this cache the other day, and saw the nice memorial here.
Got all the information to solve and go to part 2 and the GZ, but didn't finish that on that day.
Was in the area so went back to part 1 again, had another look around, and then headed off to GZ.
Easy find at GZ.
Added Seek3rs sticker and date to the log.
Took - Bracelet, Left: Toys car
A nice day out on the bike - with 1 traditional cache, and two multi's found today.

Why do I so frequently seem to be caching right on dusk?
Despite this handicap, I still managed to locus cache after doing a yoga course near by.
SL. Took thong and left a Kiwi.
Here is a bit of trivia for you all: seemed appropriate due to the 'war' connection.
The kiwi is New Zealand's famous bird. It is the icon and conveys New Zealand to the world. New Zealanders are also known as 'Kiwis'. The name has been around since the First World War, when Australian soldiers gave the nickname Kiwi.

After Remembrance Day yesterday, it was fitting to do this cache this afternoon. Thanks for bringing us here and for the cache.
I really enjoyed your simple multi but I did make one mistake. I had to go back to the lovely park to check the plaque again. Oops! I missed that one. Finally I found the cache.
Thanks The Calumphing_Four for the cache.

I think I must have misread something or made a mistake somehow. When I headed to my calculated GZ, it was in the middle of a grassed area. I was on foot, and returning to the initial co-ordinates involved backtracking, so I just left this one and moved on in my planned direction.
Thanks for showing me the initial area and the sculptures.
