I was actually on my way to find the close by "Illaweena Access" cache however there was a head on accident blocking Illaweena Rd so peeled off to grab this one instead. It was a pleasant walk to GZ and an easy find. TFTC

This one has been on our we will get there list for some time and day was that day we parked across the road and ventured down the track. After a short walk, we arrived at GZ and soon had the cache in hand Smile Happy to have this one tick off. we enjoyed the walk back to the car.

easily found - thank you Very Happy

For some stupid reason I just couldn't work out where I should park to access this one. because when I finally did it was obvious.

It was a lovely stroll enjoying the bush on one side and checking out the retirement village on the other (i may need to go there sometime in the future LOL).

The approach to the cache was very simple, the most outstanding part was encountering one of our 8 legged friends, luckily I like them and are constantly amazed at their beauty and size.

At GZ the prize was very obvious and completely uncovered so after signing the log and checking the contents I covered it hopefully a bit better but not too hard for the next visitor.

Thanks Nosugrefs TFTC SL TNLN

What a beautiful piece of bush land! I parked the car a few hundred meters away & wandered down to GZ enjoying the serenity. There is a definite geotropism identifying GZ. The container was quickly spotted. I think this is my favorite cache container. Everything is in good order although swaps are low. TNLNSL. TFTC

Out for a really big day caching with Censations Cool in Karawatha forest. Over the course of 15 and a half hours we managed about 25kms on foot (17 within Karawatha forest bounds), 42 caches and NO DNFs - gotta be happy about that. Legs are tired now, but what better way to keep fit?

Well, technically not still in the forest reserve, but having just found Illaweena's sister down the road, we thought we couldn't play favourites. Cache #21 of the day, exactly half way through the day's efforts.

And another Nosugrefs' hide - always good. No problems getting hold of this one. Bit intrigued by a pole we saw standing nearby. Looked like a mobile phone tower but without the bits needed to make it work. Just a pole really. weirdness.

Cache all good, log all signed ... back to the car and off we continue on.

Caching with Pprime. This was cache no.21 for me. Wondered what that strange pole was in the middle of no where. Nevermind. Cache was in good condition. Smile

being a nice Saturday arvo R and I set off this afternoon to find this cache.

Nice easy find, co-ords were spot on, R actually stood on the cache and heard a tell-tail metallic clunk.

TFTC nosegrus it's in great condition.

Found this one and after pushing through some rough terrain and finding the cache realised there is a proper track on the other side of the cache - Bit wet too ohhh well another cache to the collection!!

Out for a big day on the geobike today. Smile

Got the geobike over the gate and was away. Eventually I got to GZ and soon had the cache in hand.

All well with the cache.

Enjoyed the walk in yet another area of bushland I had no idea existed.

Cache was a bit exposed, so tried to cover it a bit better.

Thanks Nosugrefs

A nice walk in despite an unpleasant smell - is there a nearby sewerage treatment facility? Are those lakes waste water pools?? The cache was quickly spotted and is in good condition. Thanks Nosugrefs

Another great piece of saved bushland. Lokipagan, Fangsoki and I enjoyed our walk along the track, but I was not too happy with the route into the cache, some of us have trouble going under branches Wink. At GZ, I think we almost stood on the cache before we saw it, but once found it was in a great condition.

As said by Fangsoki, I did follow hoping for an easier exit, not to be, but the "breadcrumb" function of GPSr is certainly handy Smile.

Thanks for placing another great cache in this bushland.

This was a trot and half to the cache. Lokipagan, Totalube and I walked briskly (some more than others!) to the cache. We went into the bush and started the hunt. Thankfully Loki found it with not much problem. It was in good condition. I dropped a trackable coin in. I had a massive fail trying to get back to the path. Poor Totalube had followed me. Thankfully Lokipagan knew what was what and we could see them and made our way out. A nice area. TFTC Nosugrefs Smile

I too had to deal with the black fence, but soon found a way into the reserve. Followed trail to where I had to leave the path, and the heavens opened. Thankfully it only took a brief search to find the cache because my umbrella was so very inadequate. Managed to keep cache dry (can't say the same about myself however Razz), and got back to the car a sodden but happy mass. TFTC.

Nice walk to this cache with Stairman1 & Geodog. We had a bit of a hunt to find this one but eventually I stood right on top of it Cache was nice and dry. The bug has definately gone. TFTC

Meant to get this one last week on the way to the 10 Years event but we ran out of time so we decided to go back today to get it. We did a little bit of bush bashing to get to it but once there signed the log, TNLN. Thanks for the cache Nosugrefs

Meant to get this one last week on the way to the 10 Years event but time was against us. So back again this week! Had a nice walk in from nearby street, and after a little bush bashing found ourselves at GZ. Happy to get a quick find and soon had the log signed. Took out a ball and left a toy car. No sign of the White Jeep TB and from the logs it seems it is long gone. Perhaps consider listing it as missing so folks don't think it is there? Thanks for the cache Nosugrefs Big Grin

24-Sep-10
After consulting Jenifer our road GPS we entred from a slightly more accessable entry point for this one. Short walk along boundary fence, turn right up the track not too far and we were there. No sign of listed trackable, I would say lost forever, after the last log in 2008 ? Interesting area bordering suburbia TFTC

The SatNav took me to a spot where I was never going to gain access to the path... Lots of solid black fence and no way in... So a quick amendment to the approach path and I was on my way... [^] The walk to GZ was very pleasant this morning with a light drizzle and gentle breeze... Just what you want when the hunt is on... Wink

After I left the path, the terrain rating jumped a bit... Lots of obstacles between me and GZ but, I battled on and found what I was looking for... Big Grin Didn't really notice any traffic noise at GZ but I was probably too focussed on other things... Wink

Cheers Nosugrefs.

Easy walk out to the GZ, and then a bit of a climb about in the bush. The cache itself is easy to find (look for something that appears not natural), but you have to clamber about through trees and stuff to get to it. Agree with the comment of a previous cacher in the log, that lots of traffic noise.

Thank you nice walk

Lovely place for a walk, I didn't know ofcourse. Good hide and even the weather was against - rainy day - found it! Thanks I love these boxes.

Woohoo #500!!!!!!!!!
Finally got there.

Took a while to find, thought I was going to have to let the goal of #500 slip by me for today. Walked on top of it before I found it.

Quick log and then exit.

This was my first find of a Nosugrefs hide and it took a while until I thought outside the traditinal hiding places. Perhaps a little harder without a hint. TFTC TN left token.

This is a very late log! Have had to guess at the date till I go back and check. Just found a clipboard which I often attach caching notes to. Nice way to start the day is what I have scribbled on my clipboard. TFTH Smile

Nice easy walk to the cache. A good hide.
Many thanks for the placement.

23-Jul-08
Nice stroll in along almost level ground. I reckon I picked the prime parking spot [^]. Found the cache after a short search. Having found a few 'nosugrefs' caches in the past, I managed to think like one of them and after only 4 pokes, heard the delightful clonk, scratch of a cache being poked. TN/LN/SL. Would be a nice place to sit and admire the bush, but the traffic noise is kinda intense Twisted.

19-Jun-08
Found by Sunshine Toledo at 11:30am. It took 2 goes to find the right entrance for this cache and then difficult to find a park near the entrance point because of all the road works. The co-ords too are spot-on as the number of hiding places is huge. Great cache near lots of development. TFTC

12-Jun-08
Entered into the book of LEDGIN'S. Nice stroll along clearing. Took Geo-coin left surfboard keyring. TFTC

01-Jun-08
Found this one at 3:30pm after a stroll up the hill from the main road. Still raining and the 2nd for the day.
In: Geocoin
Out: ---

Hope that estate stays down the hill and not encroach into the bushland.

20-May-08
No chance of getting anywhere near this cache today with the work going on.

03-May-08
After ignoring Tom Tom and finding a different place to park I decided to follow a very dusty track. Big Grin After a while I turned right onto a bush track and followed it up to within 25 metres of GZ. Had to then bush bash and scratch around for a while (avoiding a brown snake Twisted ) before finally locating the cache.

An unusual bushwalk here today. Apart from the last hundred metres stroll through this bit of bushland I had to be wary of the heavy machinery that was busy scraping, bulldozing and compacting the block next door [:o]
Escaping the mechanical monsters I had a nice bit of scrub to search to find the cache Big Grin
The coords are indeed spot on. But that didn't make the cache location obvious Smile
Who's got the White Jeep travel bug !!!! These things don't disappear on their own [:o]
TFTC.

A pleasant walk and fortunately found fairly quickly.

22-Mar-08
Finding a good spot to park was a bit of a challenge ... the roads displayed on my nuvi don't exist yet. Finally found a good approach. And another when I drove past on the other side...
Went straight to GZ ignoring any likely spots on the way. It still took me 30 minutes to find this cache. And I was looking in a 10 m radius only... the coords are definitely spot on. I simply turned cache blind...

A lovely morning walk to locate this little beauty.Unfortunatley second to find to Crew 153 who located the cache 5 days ago and has not yet made a log.TFTC.

26-Feb-08
It was raining steadily when I started off for the walk and didn't let up. The things we do for a *FTF*.

It took about 10 minutes of searching to locate the cache but not because the coordinates were out because they were spot on. Probably because of the rain on the glasses. I had seen this bit of bushland every morning on the way to work but had never ventured in.

It will be a pity if the housing development takes much more of the bush as this is a through corridor for animals between Karawatha Forest and Greenbank Army Camp.

Dropped in the White Jeep.

Must of had my non-seeing eyes in or the wipers had failed, could not find this one-why are the simple ones so hard, will have to try again though.
The vegetation will recover soon enough-wallabies abound and the current range of fungi in and around the 'area' was great.
Thanks
