As there has been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it has been a number of months since the last owner note I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.
Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Having spent the week in Darwin looking after the geo-grandkids and having put this cache in the GPS before leaving Adelaide didn't notice that it had been temporarily disbanded until began to write the log. However it was found by the geo-grandaughter and the log was signed by slipping in a sheet as the original was a mess. I'm logging it anyway so TFTC Groboz.
As my log indicates the cache was found and did have a lid. Yes the log is a mess.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.
This was our 2nd cache find in the caching run & we found it at 10:48
So this now makes our total find count 6812.
[blue]
Our first day in Darwin (this year). It seemed such a pity to just sit around in the caravan park, so we ventured out in the heat to acclimatise ourselves, and of course to find a few caches.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres).
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in really bad shape - no lid, soggy pulpy log.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Groboz for the hunt today.

Unfortunately the cache was half full of water and the new log saturated. Needs some maintenance again.
Nice muggle free area to find this cache. Unfortunately the log was saturated and I didn't have anything on me to fix it. TFTC
Found after finding out the water park was closed. Nice easy find but didn't bring a pencil TFTC
A quick find ins pite of the passers by heading to the water park. Nice park and grab.
Found together with 3 other caches on or near the Ridgetop Walk. This is a great walk, and it is easy to catch a bus to the start/ end.
Clever hiding place. The happy campers near the site seem to have moved on.

Our first Geocache find, spotted by my daughters eagle eye. We were a bit worried we were on the wrong side of the fence for a while. There is an old longrasser (itinerant persons) camp close to the cache - within viewing distance, but didn't look like it had been used for a while - something to keep in mind if you are strolling through the area.
Daughter's comment :"Yea Buddy" - she's chuffed with her first cache find !

I was a bit worried it would be on the wrong side of the fence, not a problem in the end. T4TC.
1210 GAFF1 Log too wet to sign initially, so dropped back on the way home (1715) and the log had dried out enough by then ( even tho it had been 'spitting' during the afternoon.

Took a while for the geosenses and GPS to kick in this morning but managed to find it. No extraction implements required at the moment thankfully as I forgot to take them. TFTC.
Found while out for a birthday supper for KI of KiKeKi.....
Went to the Hog's Breath Cafe near by.....enjoyed it very much.

Found while on our way to supper.
It is Ki's 13th birthday - Ki didn't get out of the car though - due to her broken ankle. So sad to me on crutches for your birthday.

GPS was pointing to a spot near a populated camp so we decided not to continue. I look suspicious enough as it is.
The camp was deserted today, so we took the opportunity to have a short hunt for the cache and was rewarded with a quick find TFTC
Found at 4.45pm GAFF1. no one shooting today. Just a group of locals squatting in a circle nearby wondering what the heck we were doing staring at a tree!
Thanks Groboz.
Thanks Groboz.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 68 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, after dropping the WanderingMrs (aka SWMBO) at the stop for the free Casino Bus I had almost 6 hours of caching time available.
I knew this cache needed maintenance, so I decided to swing by to see what was needed. The log was disintegrating, so I dropped in a new log with stash note and a ziplock bag.
The cache is now in order so the cache owner can remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute, which seems to have been there since 26 October 2008 when beetle86 wrote "log is getting wet, couldnt write in it as it was all stuck together!!".

Had to sneak in and out due to the construction that was taking place and the workmen everywhere. The cache is a little damp inside but a good spot right under the noses of the longrassers
My first cache!!! awesome love it.
My first cache!!! awesome love it.
Weren't able to have a go at this - there were aboriginals camping out right near GZ. Cheers Gav
Skipped this one (night) due to a large group of indiginous australians who were camping out at GZ.
Find number 9 for the day, and find number 256 on the twentysecond day of our month long trip to Warwick, Lightning Ridge, Boulia, Plenty Highway, Alice Springs, Ayres Rock, Darwin, and home. Found at 1400hrs Qld time.
I found this, just. If not for the rock, I would have passed it by. Even then, I wasnt sure, its been a while since its been found, so the rain and mud had jammed it in place, and it required considerable digging, and a pair of long nose pliers to extract the cache from its hidey hole.
Cheers

There is a lot of junk in the area, trolleys, food scraps, bedding? So I kept on waltzing by. I think someone lives here during the day.
Fantastic piece of Darwins history though. Amazing.

Did this one with Bunny60. Lots of green ants that I didn't see because of the dark. Contents fairly damp.

Wow that was quite a story. Did the cache without any problem, put in a new log scroll as the other was full. thanks Groboz
Found in a location I wasnt expecting. Wasnt watched by the psychopath too thankfully!! TFTC
Read the logs - brought a "persuader"... and even then, retrieving the cache was not too easy - but we eventually succeeded. Thanks Groboz.
easy find, but we couldnt convince it to come out of its spot, even with a pen. was getting eaten by ants so decided to go.
Took the opportunity while working in Palmerston today for a quick lunch-time cache run. I was just appraoching GZ, when a few of the local gentlemen who had been sitting under a nearby tree got up and walked towards me. I became intently interested in my mobile phone, hoping they'd pass (given the history of this place I was feeling a bit threatened!) However, he very politley said "Excuse me miss, could we borrow you're pen" - I was delighted, it's a long time since I've been called Miss! Lovely blokes, and I eventually managed to sign log while they were distracted with some important paperwork.
TFTC and the history lesson!

I once lived in Palmerston.....never knew this happened, Thanks Groboz the log is a little wet we had to dry it out to sign it.
Second attempt at tis one and found it straight away. Cache needs another log sheet as this one is now full. TFTC
Found on my way to Darwin.
Thank you very much for the cache and showing the area.

As I had already found the Palmerston Shootout #2, I was keen to locate the #1 of the pair.
On the way home from work I managed to locate the cache after a little bit of a search.

Welcome to the wild north! A micro in the bush! but it was found very easily, thanks Groboz.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 71 of a "climatic refugee" trip. After dropping the geoChallenger at Winnellie for a service I caught the bus to Palmerston determined to clear the surrounding area of unfound caches.
Having pre-determined that GC18GCY Yip Therapy by Kerr NT, with 2 DNFs and no find for 11 months, was to be excluded, I had five caches to hunt down, and this was the second. I was seeking revenge after last year's DNF, and with the benefit of over 13 months and more than 1,000 more finds the experience paid off and I managed a GAFF 1 find within about 10 minutes. Good hide.[^]
My find No 1654, TNLNSL.

Found this one about 1715hrs on the way home from a regular Sunday afternoon bike ride with a friend.
Didn't take long to find. I wasn't looking in quite the right spot originally, but then I saw something that looked just a little out of place - and lo and behold the cache was under it! I thought it was a very good hide.
I worked at the Police College for a little while and knew a little about this incident, but had never really thought about where the events actually happened. Standing in the place where these things happen, and knowing that so many lives were affected, is quite sobering. It is for me anyway.
Signed log.
Thanks for the cache Groboz.

Now that's a sad bit of history. GZ was located easily enough and the cache was soon in hand. Wandered off and had a look at the nearby satellite receivers before leaving.

Our first find in Palmerston area and we enjoyed strolling towards the cache (sort of racing to beat each other!!) It was found by Mr Bushies2. Thanks Groboz for the hide and hunt.
Found the cache - no problem. SL. Thanks Groboz for organising the cache and hunt.
nice easy one to find. this one i was allowed to hold the gps. gess and its mine and i have fight for it now.
got there but needs repairs. couldnt log my visist cause the log was way to wet!!!

Found this cache on the path which I suspect is not where it should be. We actually found it in the dark by stepping on it. The log book is extremely water logged so we couldn't record our find in it.
We found it along with x muggles but it needs maintenance. So I guess you can say we found it.
Well I found number two, man was I looking in all the wrong places. It took me 3 trips to finally find it, silly me forgot a pen and signed in burnt stick. Guess I gotta learn some how now to make it 3 finds
Very tricky. Were stumped for quite some time. Thought we stumbled across somebody's stash of drugs at one point! No such luck. Thanks for the history lesson.
Thanks for the replacment cache, now found in the first place we looked the last time. SL TFTC
The first of my lunch break caching finds within walking distance from the office this was a nice easy find. TFTC
Unfortunately the cache had been muggled but it has now been replaced. Please ensure it is well covered when you leave it.
Sad to say I have to log this one as a DNF, we have had two goes at this and have searched quite an area using a grid pattern after reading the waypoints may be out, but still no luck. TFTC anyway the history of this cache was very interesting.
After taking the grand children for a walk around the park I decided "it's just over there a little way"! Good job they went back with Grandma. Found it without any drama but no pencil to sign log. May call back later. Our first in Darwin.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Dropped by to check on the cache after the fire. Cache still safe and sound and waiting to be found again.
WanderingAus wandered by on day twenty of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia. GZ seemed to be in the middle of the path, and one metre away towards the gully was a very fresh burnt out zone. I looked around in the unburnt area, and at the edge of the burnt area, then read some logs which mentioned 6 metre error. If the cache is 6 metres towards the gully it's probably fried, but I didn't feel like wandering through the ash with heaps of muggles watching me.

Found whilst doing the caching rounds of Palmerston. GPS seemed a bit nervous about this one [8)] and was all over the place. Eventually found the cache and for a split moment of disbelief thought I was FTF, but alas it was a new log book Thanks Groboz FTC
Although we found it, we were swamped with local muggles who were camped close to GZ, so we could'nt do any more, and due to a shortage of time, we were unable to get back.
Next time.
Next time.
Boy did I bush bash the wrong way. LOL
Cache is wet and could not sign the log as it was more like paper mache.
Nice hide though.
Good location for macca's breakfast followed by caching morning.
