Good find

What a delightful adventure! Today, I set out to find the "Gone with the Wind" cache, and it did not disappoint. The clues were cleverly crafted, leading me through a beautiful area filled with lush trees and a gentle breeze that felt like a nod to the cache's name.As I navigated the trails, I couldn't help but think of Scarlett O'Hara and her tenacitymuch like the determination I needed to find this hidden gem! The final coordinates took me to a scenic overlook where I had to do a little creative searching. After a few minutes of scanning the surroundings, I spotted it tucked away just out of sight, blending perfectly with its environment.Signing the log was a highlight, and I left a small trinket that I hope adds to the joy for the next adventurer. Thank you for this fun cache! It was a great reminder that, like in the classic tale, every journey has its challenges and rewards.P.S. Ill be dreaming of my next geocaching escapade while humming As Time Goes By. Cant wait for my next find!Happy caching, everyone! ????Come visit SA's longest running annual event -keep the Long weekend free- June 2025 Can't wait!!2627

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 10 - Cleve to Port Lincoln via Port Neill and Tumby Bay. My short days continue and I spent a bit of time around Cleve before I got under way. Plenty of roadside caches along the highways. I ventured into Pot Neill, Tumby Bay and Port Louth to check out the villages. As ever I would have loved to have stopped for lunch or dinner in each one, but I stuck to the plan and made it to the caravan park in Port Lincoln. Once I was set up I went and did a few more caches on the edge of town. A couple more Counties today. I'll spend another day here tomorrow before heading North West to th Nullabor over a few days after that. The last two Cleve caches were on the road to the north before going to finish packing up and get on the road to Pt Lincoln. Thanks for the cache valiantscot46600.5 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2016 Surf Coast Event LE A#353**Albida**

Another day on the peninsula of air, dodging water, with the froghoppin twosome and with Purrfect Di and Jack cleaning some of the colourful little blobs from our geomap. Off we went to finish cleaving a cleaver and a few more new caches too!

Not sure about the mill, but found your cache! A nice place to pull over, for a quick break.

And valiantscot we thank you for hiding and maintaining this cache on our ever growing SA geo-map Cool

Driving around wherever we can - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck WinkCoolBig Grin
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!

*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Danger! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]

Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside Big Grin

Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Much appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Out for some more caching fun around Cleve this morning along with ilook4geo. We had a good run and enjoyed the country roads as well as the town hides. This was an easy cache to find and all was done to keep the paperwork in order. Thank you to valiantscot for placing this cache which we were happy to find and be able to claim the smiley.
This cache is sadly neglected as the lid is broken and the log soggy. Such a pity.

Making our way back form through Cooper Pedy where we found some opal now heading down and along the Eyre peninsula. Sorry for the rd Eric log, I seem to get myself behind and muddled if I don’t do it this way.

Reasonably accurate coordinates, a familiar style of hide and an exposed cache led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Before leaving, we added a lot more natural camo to give the cache more protection.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Currently in Cleve, camped out by the weir. Weather today is not very nice, cold and bleak, and it is Sunday, so Cleve is closed! What else is there to do? Go caching again of course.

Great place for a campsite easy place for cache. We cammoed it a bit more in its hidey hole to keep it hidden longer. Thanks valiantscot

Not the place we were expecting to find here, but obviously a picnic spot if you wanted it to be as we spotted a rubbish bin. Think a bit of TLC is needed to make this place more attractive though.

Hi there valiantscot.

We found your cache **"Gone with the Wind "Mill""** at 12:57:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 13910.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the local area today. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Todays plan was an attempt to "clean out" Clever before heading back to camp at Cowell.

We ended up finding 20 & DNFing 0 caches today. Wink

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around two metres from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Found whilst on a fabulous Easter long weekend caching trip with CPwanderer travelling from Adelaide to the Eyre Peninsula.

Today has been filled with much of the same as yesterday - fun, laughter and lots of crazy caching adventures [^] ....as well as flies (that were very friendly and seemed to like riding in the air conditioned car with us), HUGE and hungry ants (ouch!), a large nest of spiky caterpillars, cute little kangaroos and even having a close call with a DEATH ADDER SNAKE - keep in mind I was with CP!! Thanks for the cache valiantscot Smile

Off on a caching adventure with GoodLook on the Easter long weekend!! We had perfect weather and, for the route we were taking, surprisingly little traffic! Our target was the Cleve Cowell area althouth we started way before this. Our biggest challenge was the lack of anything open, apart from roadhouses, on the Friday and Saturday!!
Quickly located!!

A icturesque area. You can imagine a lovely old home here, built in the earlty days by pioneers. Our thanks to valiantscot.

Found at 2:03 PM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob. We signed the log book as "M&P".
Looks like there was an old bridge here by the amount of large pole timber. This place would make a nice camping ground and there is even a rubbish bin Wink

Catching up with some late logs.
We caught the ferry over from the Eyre after 6 days caching with Alansee and micaparamedic to try our luck on a few Yorke caches as well as try some of the power trails.
A very grand old man gum stood guard over this cache, if only it could talk. We bet it could tell some stories both good and bad.
The cache was a surprisingly easy find which could very well have been the opposite.
You have to get lucky every now and again.
Our thanks to valiantscott for the cache.

A quiet little spot to stop, just out of towne Smile
Looks like it used to be a picinic area at some stage !!

So I wandered around the piles of bits and pieces for a while, trying to figure out which bits were windmill, or mill, or whatever Razz
A cache popped up in a well hidden spot during my investigations [^]

What an awesome weekend! JLWE at Cleve Cool
Dennisc52 was kind enough to allow me to travel with him and throughout the weekend, I found 54 or maybe 55 caches (along with also beta testing in situ a 35 cache meat cleaver) and attended 4 events Smile

Taking non game caches off of our GPSrs yesterday obviously helped our team stayed focussed as none of us knew there was a cache here then...but we did today Wink
