Logged as VIIPERS on another beautiful Norfolk Island day. Dont forget to slip, slop, slap. That sun bites! Thanks for the cache.
So many wonderful view points and well cared for reserves. And now its like Norfolk has been a myth or has at least has been in the imagination mirrored by faded school lessons for so longnow the dream to visit Norfolk Island is real! The holiday suddenly looks busy busy with a schedule of tours, events and 70+ caches to find. From the first step on the island everything has been fabulous. Cache found quickly and logged as VIIPERS - a crew of caching buddies from Vic and Tassie ( who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, icybeetas Weirdobiker) TFTC and the fun.
Thank you richlink for placing this cache here, which was found in the company of the Viipers, a visiting group of five teams from VIC and Tassie. Thanks endeavour3 for maintaining it to keep it in this wonderful game we enjoy.Viipers team comprising Val, Ian, Icy, Pam,Evelyn, Ronice and Sylvia in absentia.A favourite point for the fun and friendship
Found by the VIIPERS. There may not be snakes on Norfolk Island, but now there are VIIPERS. We are V(al Cybergran V) I(an icybeetas) I(an Riddell) P(am weirdobiker) E(velyn SciFiRulz) R(onice Ronice88) and S(ylvia Riddell who is with us in spirit.)Stopped at the parking spot and went for a little walk to find the cache. icybeetas told us that on previous visits he had been to this reserve for the Fish fry dinner, however the one we attended on our visit was held elsewhere. TFTC
A group of geocaching friends consisting of Val (cybergran V), Ian (half of the team Riddell) Ian (icybeetas) Pam (weirdobiker) Evelyn (SciFiRulz), Ronice (Ronice88) and Sylvia (half of team Riddell) are touring Norfolk Island with the aim of finding every cache here. This was a quick find of a cache in good condition and the log signed as Viipers to save space. Thank you richlink for placing and maintaining it as it enhanced our visit to this beautiful island.
A group of caching friends are visiting from the mainland and enjoying the scenery while caching. The log was signed as team (viipers) who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, Ronice88, icybeetas and myself. We are looking forward to the 'fish fry' evening while we are here on the island

Found this cache on a visit with the Qantas Pathfinders charity. Beautiful weather and the weather has been exceptional. Another country to add to the list even though we are still in Australia.
I thought it was really scary, because of the cows but we did end up finding it.
Our first find on NI, and our first for quite a while. Excellent views. CheersBundy
#7514- My first for the day while heading to the northern part of the island. An easy find, but some workmen were not far away and wondering what we were up to. Waved and we were on our way. Thanks
(15 of 17 today - including 1 Adventure Lab)Another fun day out with the Woof Patrol (aka **Calypso 62**, **Jackscruff**; **Goldberry17**, **FunFurMe**, **creativechookie** & me).Today we decided to tackle the west side of the island, starting in the south west and working our way north towards this afternoon's event. And didn't that work a treat.A combination of fascinating history and breathtaking views - and in one instance a breathtaking slope!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Snuck away from the event for a few minutes to grab this one.Round and round the rugged rocks this ragged rascal ran. Well, that's how it felt.Made the find and signed, replaced and was back before anyone else noticed*.SLTNLNTFTC* OK, lots of people noticed
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.

We're here for our week long Geo Adventure tour and today is the first full day. It's been a really busy day, this morning there was the island tour then there was barely enough time for lunch before we did a glass bottom boat tour on the lagoon. Now that was relaxing and lots of fun with our entertaining skipper. Now this is a Geo Adventure tour so after the boat we set about the serious business of geocaching. Our group of friends came here to Puppy's Point for our first cache. Our different devices were pointing us in different directions but it wasn't long before we heard the cry, found it!TFTC # 6004

T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today we headed up the north-west coast to Anson Bay. Heading south again after the walk down to the beach and we visited the 3 caches in Selwyn Reserve. A bit of a wander to this one but the cache was quickly found. We checked out the views before we drove off. TFTC, richlink.

During July my wife and I took a break from Melbourne and spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.
In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.
In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC

This was actually one of the first places we visited on the island as we drove a bit randomly looking for somewhere to view the sunset on our first evening. I wasn't in caching mode then so it took until quite a few days later to get back here and find it.

OMG. We found the cache guardians home with our faces and got a bit freaked out. Big. View was fabulous, thanks for the hide.
Found with Just_Jess! and ktbrwn1. Stunning views in the area, our whole group loved it, especially the muggles. Spotted the cache guardian just in time, in fact a whole family of them. Left a unicorn pencil for future finds. TFTC
Family trip with Geogeneve and ktbrwn1. There was definitely a cache guardian! Watch your head!
Miss Belle found this one wedged in tight. No fairy ring to be found though…we’re now off to 100 acre for a picnic.

Day 3 on the Island and still fighting the elements. A heavy fog abounds and the ground is ultra slippery.
We managed 18 caches and a few stages of the Lookouts Adventure Lab caches today.

On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 5 nights and countless days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The prisoner had been here on a previous occasion. Equipment failure seems to have meant the prisoner was looking fruitlessly deep within the bush. Returning to the spot the cache blocking guards agreed to a short 15 min release. The prisoner was please to quickly locate the item and return to the guards without raising their suspicions of any escape plan.

Find Number 2499 found at 13:42. Today we found 6 caches and 2 lab caches. We had 2 DNF's.
The second day of our Norfolk Island Holiday. Today we took the Pitcairn Settlement tour in the morning and drove around the Island, caching the afternoon
Hmm... Lots of rocks, mostly large. I searched for quite a while and was on the verge of calling it a DNF when I spotted something suspicious. There was the cache, hiding under a large rock. Who'd a thunk it?.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found
Thanks richlink for the cache.
