I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Needs maintenance or a check up by CO to ensure this is still findable please!
It's been a while since a find.

Definitely not there. Followed instructions..... 10 paces to tree with 3 forks. Nothing there.
Pretty sure we found the correct location from hint and description but nothing there. Spent a further twenty minutes checking possibilities but no luck. Possibly missing.
Easy find while doing a few short tramps around Hamilton
had to pass a few so the group stays together.
All in good condition.

Under time pressure today - it was getting dark and my only torch was out of batteries. Had failed on this cache a couple of times. Today, I ignored the GPS except to get me roughly to GZ then looked around for the hint, which I spotted almost immediately, along with a tell-tale flash of blue. Cache was soon in hand but approximately 11-12m from the publshed co-ordinates, which is what had thrown me out before. Glad to turn this blue face yellow. TFTC.
A raid on the Waikato was long overdue so McJandals and I teamed up as we've both got similar caches on our Hamilton hit lists. This cache was a mess... and took way long then it should have. The hint had us looking here, there and everywhere! We've ripped up a lot of wandering dew weed today but it the end all we really had to do was read the description and hint a million times until we got it to make sense. It was obvious to the point where I feel quite stupid just thinking about it. Cheers cafeg, TFTC
Found using Cachly app and logged using the text template, so please excuse generic logging in advance. On a spur of the moment roadie with Phillip.perry from the Bay of Plenty, a plan was hatched and here we are after leaving Tauranga at 6am to make the most of the day. Great to have these places to visit and many thanks to all you COs for the placements. Cheers This took WAY LONGER than it should have. After re reading the cache page had the aha moment, unfortunately lid was off and log was mush, have fixed up, dried out and replaced log.
I searched where the hint said, but the coords where too far off. I went back to the stating place, but nada. When I followed my GPSr, I ended up in the water.
Arrived at gz and cleared lots of wandering jew in my search. Something was not quite right - including the large bloated carp. Extended search not feeling very hopeful. Found some earthworks and cleared undergrowth then looked further and spotted cache. Thanks for the placement.
We found this away from where we think is should have been, on the bank. We relocated it in the roots of the tree where think it should be. Covered with pine needles, pinecones and sticks to hopefully prevent it falling out again. Owner maintenance required, there is no log and inside the cache is wet and dirty. Lovely spot.
The ground was very soggy on the way to the cache. Searched an area before checking the description and gaining more clues. A short search for the hint item eventually resulted in a find. The cache contents are very wet. tftc
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache. Water has been in container and log has become paper-mache
The area had obviously been in flood recently and made for a messy search. We resorted to using alternate coordinates to find this one. The log book was gone and everything was damp, left a small bit of paper for signing.
There has been a lot of water in and around the Waikato (river) in the last couple of months - the last dam on the river at Karapiro has had all spillway gates open since mid April. The GC was safe and sound but contained water. We had no way of drying it out unfortunately....
after a few attempts i can finally put this one away, thanks to a previous finder for putting better coords up, tftc
I have to admit I was a bit confused when the clue said go one way, and the gps was saying go in the other... luckily the other logs provided a much needed clue of where to look, which isolated the possible spots down! Have to admit there are quite a few people in this park even though its raining!
Have recently moved to the area so was out and about today looking for caches nearby. This one took a bit of hunting but after reading previous logs I followed someone else's coords and found it easily, sort of out in the open. Logbook is drenched so was unable to sign. Thanks for the cache
Had my eye on this one for a while. Tbh I don't understand the clue....sorry :L great little place this used to come here all the time as a kid tftc
No luck here last visit, but this time, had a better read and widened the search with much better results. Tftc.
Jimsta and Moose - Mission 5/8
We struggled to start with and then I sat down while Moose tried looking around, we knew we were close. I then found some alternate co-ordinates in the comments and Moose checked his compass directions and we were soon right on top of the cache and had it in hand.
Log was definitely a little damp and we took the GeoGem Gin's Blue Diamond GeoGem to move to down to another cache.

Found with Jimsta. My turn to do the searching, but Jimsta finding some alternative coords is what eventually led to spotting the cache.
Out paddling today with KiwiLeon, Alpenmilch80, Slieschke, Levequoz, and Cats&Dragons.
We had a superb day with lots of sunshine and only the occasional wind. Took us a while to find this one but the clue was helpuful. T4TC.

Oh what a joyful day out on the Waikato river . The Forgotten Highway was on my must do list since the day I arrived in New Zealand. Today was the day I finally, BIG thanks to Cats&Dragons, was able to achieve this goal. But further to it, it was with a bunch of great friends who I enjoyed so many geocaching trips with. Additional we had the perfect weather with the CDW forecast reporting "Hot Thunder Pizza" but we only got served a "Hot Pizza with sundried Tomato’s". I think my legs didn’t see the sun in so long that they decided to get sunburned even with a lot of sun cream protecting them .
Thanks heaps again to both C&Ds for organising and having a spare kayak as well thanks to Levequoz who was showing me a speedy time on the Waikato . TFTC
BTW: Some logs are signed with BLASK instead of GLASK out of respect for my elder Mister Blat

No stoney beach to be seen today as water too high. GC seen though and log just able to be filled out though quite damp. Great little spot for the summer. Tftc.
A grey day for a wander along the river side. Be lovely in summer! Just watch for the bait stations..
A nice day for a wander along the river bank. Despite many years of living in the mighty "tron", I hadn't been down here before.
We apparently have no sense of direction at all & spent a while looking in the wrong area, but eventually realised the error of our ways & the cache was located.
Left a pet rock - a frog. Thanks cafeg

No problems tracking this down, TFTC. Heard voices coming, thought I was about to get muggled, couldn't tell if they were on the path or on the water!
Found it. Take in to account the date it was placed. And how nature and HCC like to add to features
Found it

Even using the hint I did not seem to have a cacher's eye this early morning. Spend quite a bit of time, let about a dozen dog muggles pass by but nevertheless enjoyed the tranquility at 7:30am.
I guess I need to return

Found what i'm pretty sure were the 4 trees alone but couldn't find the cache, even after reading the hint, found a few blackberries and someones bag of dog poop they had thrown in there though
My nemesis cache finally knocked off! Thank goodness. Used marmis coordinates, no wonder I couldn't find it earlier!
After the needs work posts I was not holding my out much hope on this one but wont hunting any way but come up blank
After my first attempt to find this I reviewed the logs and returned armed with MarMis' co-ordinates and after almost giving up again found the cache still further to the north. The cache contents including log are wet; I added a new piece of paper so that I could write successfully but didn't have a bag for it so imagine it will also be wet soon. Thanks for the cache.
Was worried I wouldn't find this after reading logs, after all that, it was easy. Couldn't write in log though, too wet
Log completely wet, impossible to write on, container doesn't seem to be waterproof, everything inside wet.
Spent quite some time looking and couldn't find it. Does "look 4 trees alone" mean "look four trees along" or "look for a tree alone" or "look for four trees alone?"
Found it (after some time...was looking in the wrong place) but log book is saturated so I didn't write in it.
Stopped to get this cache while i was doing the Forgotten Highway.
Was getting a little frustrated and had given the wandering jew a good working over before I actually took the time to reread the cache description and then all was clear.

First day of the school holidays. Set myself a goal to make the hunt more interesting. Didn't count on heavy rain though... Left Rotorua in rain. Once over the Mamakus, the sun came out and looked very promising.
The rain lifted momentarily. The gps was pointing out into the river, so we knew we had to rely on the hint to make a find. Didn't help that there were a few possibilities to search. Found after brother spotted the cache container. TFTC. Watched a large boat power on down the river.

This one formed part of a series of 4 did not finds in a row!
Could not figure out the clue, the description note previous logs. Must have been getting tired, and muggles "illegally" fishing out of the river did not help!
Very demoralising!

My compass was playing up and pointed me in the wrong direction so spent a bit of time searching in the wrong area. I then recalibrated the compass...Cache was easily found once I looked in the right place. TFTC
A quick find from the explicit directions. I love these spots off the path a bit. Gave the cache a spring clean.
Looked and looked and wondered if we were misunderstanding the hint but all to no avail. Perhaps another time.

Loooked last night and again this morning and found it - Worthwhile reading the clues throughly then all becomes clear. Out Princess fiona figurine in a fishing lure (minus hook) that would work in the river there.
Found by ignoring GPS what wanted me to go wading in the river. Lovely spot!!
Struggled to get a good fix with the GPS, and rummaged around in all the wrong places for a while before continuing our walk and collecting the other two nearby caches then returned and found almost immediately after re-reading the clue.
Nice quick find once I ignore GPS and looked for hint - lovely spot - havent been here before TFTC
I had not been on this section of the walkway. Enjoyed the walk from here to the other 2 caches. TFTC
