GC19T7T Peace and SerenityThought I made a very quick find with a Sistema sitting out in the open. On opening its filled with water and cigarette butts. Its not the cache. TFTC Konie
We were heading home from the Coast because it had started pouring rain. Just as we got close to GZ the sun came out and so we decided trying for a quick walk. We had to jump some puddles on the path but were soon at the hide. Someone had left an empty Red Bull can in the cache and thinking kids wouldnt find that an interesting swap we took it with us to dispose of correctly. tftc
Up from Brisbane for the weekend to share sometime with friends and a few schoolies, I was up early and out on the hunt for caches. After solving this one last night. I found my way quickly to ground zero and quickly spotted the prize. After extracting the log and making my mark, the cache was quickly returned to its hiding place and a little happy dance was performed. Yep one step closer to a challenge cache Im working on.A big thanks for the cache owner making this cache available to be found.
Came upon this on a school excursion. Kids were guessing it was a time capsule from the war. Fun find. Kids were definitely excited and decided to right their names on it so may have a couple extra then whats digitally logged. Definitely made their day. Tftc
There was a need for me to drive and run around Caloundra this afternoon. And a need for me again at sunset. But in between, I have a bit of time and with my bit of time, I'm gonna continue to grab the sparse oldies remaining a couple of suburbs to the north. This was the closest.
Google Maps seamlessly navigated me to the area, and it became clear I'd have to go off road to park. Keeping my eyes out, there was an obvious, easy road in. I engaged "hope mode" in my hatchback and went in. Stupidly, I drove farther than I needed to, took a U-turn and realised parking right by the obvious gate was the best option. Classic effort on my part, making a D1.5 into a palava!
Alright, on foot and through the gate I strolled up the sandy track. The traffic noise had only faded a little by the time it was time to leave the track and go bush for realsies. Following the arrow on the app, I spied the container peeking out of a likely hiide. Aw yeah, chunky boy ammo box!
Inside oddly, was wet. But a reasonably new logbook was dry enough to get a bit of a signature on. And I was amused that the inner sistema must have got a bit baked in a bushfire at some point in the past. But all found, then replaced at 16:35 and back to the car, bitumen and the next icon on the map. Thanks for the geocache, Konie

Took a while to locate exact position but given the terrain a relatively QEF.
Log too wet to write on but dried out two poly bags and left a new log that might hopefully keep dry.

Quick find. Can see plastic container has melted a bit due to recent bush . Replacement log is also wet.
Konie I found your cache Peace and Serenity on 1/6/2022, 12:50 pm. This is my find 3460 and find # 6 today. Definitely peace and serenity. Found it, the sistema box has seen better days. Logbook soaked, placed a sheet of paper to sign. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
This one has suffered from fire and rain - melted from heat and soggy log book. But doesn't stop it from being a pleasant search. TftC.
On our day out in this area, it was lovely to have this as one of our target caches. An oldie, and lovely to see it maintained.
The day was filled with laughter, chatter and good company.
Log signed.
Thanks for this one Konie & holster,

Enjoying a lovely day out caching with our team called GGEDS (georode, grannysmith1947, E_Smiley, domsky and Snickersallan)
It was a great time had by all with lots of good hides found and with many laughs along the way.
Surprisingly this cache survived a fire and is still intact, great to get another old cache, thanks CO.

Great day out with Teams GGEDS or G2EDS (georode, grannysmith1947, Domsky and Snickersallan targetting tree fishing caches/(or caches with special tool required attribute), solved puzzles, oldies caches and other caches along the way.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Konie & holster. Quick find by Domsky. Happy to see another oldie but Goldie cache. The inside container is melted but still ok.

After an all-terrain CITO to get the day underway, 1MinniMoo and I nicked off to the Sunny Coast to find mostly older caches - like this one. Along the track we wondered, and the hustle and bustle of the Sunny Coast faded behind us, serenity and peace ensued. Lovely area. Great spot.
Thanks Konie & holster for entertaining me at this location.

Having attended a CITO to start the day, the rest of the day was planned out relatively meticulously Pprime style. The goal was to grab some older caches around the Sunshine Coast.
A short wander along the track and into the bush and a quick find was made, after Pprime looked one end I the other - this time I came up with the goods.
Thanks for the cache Konie.

Loving the early finish on Fridays. Mr CuriousQuest and I headed to the Sunshine Coast to collect a few smileys. I parked the geomobile and we took a lovely stroll to GZ. There, the cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Out on a Friday afternoon with Selva Girls to pick up some caches.Nice quick find log was signed and returned to the cache as found. TFTC
Picking up some caches in the area this morning and this is one I found. The name certainly describes the spot and my favourite type of container too! Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Konie and Holster.
Tftc. Found easily. Log was a bit damp but managed to sign it. There must have been a fire through here at some point as the inner container was part melted. Laminated cache explanation was out in the open which was how we spotted the cache. Great to see an ammo tin for real!
We found it a bit off the track and my mate grabbed it and said “better not be any spiders”
Then we opened it and somehow a massive tarantula was living in it we saw some cool treasures and no pencil so we sadly couldn’t log our names we found it on the 8th of March 2020
Beware of the spiders and happy hunting

Figured I could do with some peace and serenity after venturing to “The Sign” cache. At least it was a quick 500m walk from where I parked. Lovely spot but the peace was short lived, hordes of mozzies thought I was a welcome snack. Looks like they are back with a vengeance after the recent rains. Signed the cache quickly and got out of there. TFTC Konie & Holster.
Nyssaflutterby and I escaped from family responsibilities for the afternoon and headed up the coast with no real plan, just looked at the map and chose somewhere to start.
A nice walk in here though I tried to slip in the mud and trip over tree roots.
A nice cache too, good to see one of these containers. I imagine the peace and serenity used to be much more when the cache was placed but it's still a nice location. Thanks for the cache Konie.

Out and about with wombles on the not so sunny Sunshine Coast today. We didn’t really have a plan for our outing, just picked a cache and then on to the next closest one.
This was next on the map. After driving through a huge puddle and not getting bogged, phew, we parked and started the stroll to GZ. The birds were singing and if it weren’t for the the crazy traffic noise this would certainly be serene and peaceful.
Wombles tried to trip over a few times, the recent rain had made the track slippery. Had to watch out for the spots of clay. We arrived at GZ and it didn’t take long to have the well hidden beasty in hand. Love these types of containers! Looks like this one has been through fire and survived, the inside box was a funky shape from melting.
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely location and for the cache Konie & holster

Was chatting to grannysmith1947 other day about going to one of the GIFF event. I couldn’t do the midweek ones, so had to be a Saturday one. First one I saw was down in NSW just below the border.
Then later one come up on the Sunshine Coast. My wife said that the one I am going to.
While we were up there had to pickup two old caches for that challenge. unfortunately couldn’t find one. Will have to come back sometime to find it. Have been offer some help next time.
As usually we will always pickup few others along the way.
And of cause I am picking up a few caches for the next challenge. That will take awhile to.
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC Konie & holster *339* streak. *2061* Finds

After a week of R&R in Bundaberg we were taking a leisurely drive back home and detoured off the highway to get a couple of the older caches in the area.
I have been past this cache a number of times to find other caches in the area but never stopped to check this one out.
Today, I took the stroll. There had been a few well awaited showers of rain previously and there were a few puddles on the path. A quick find. It is a pity that there are not more of these containers used these days.
Thanks for placing this cache 11 years and 3 days ago .

Heading for Gympie and we stopped to give the dog a walk. She isn't allowed into the park, so I went in while wife walked dog alongside the fenceline. tftc.
This was very peaceful today as the motorbikes were not present although plenty of evidence of their prior visits. TFTC Konie & holster
I had some time off and was looking for a bit of a walk before a visit to the beach, and hence why I ended up wandering through this patch of bush mid-week. I carefully stepped across the creek but soon gave up on keeping my feet dry - the track was covered in ponds right across the open area.
At GZ the ammo tin was quickly located and added my name to the log book - TFTC (and apologies for the delayed log).

After failing to ride to glenview by way of "harmony", the new estate they are building, i was in dire need of some peace and serenity, as this has been niggling at me as the closest unfound to "home" it seemed only fitting, then of course its been there nine odd years and was placed by konie!
Only realised on my southern approach, I'd tried for this previously but was turned back due to it being a floodplain at the time. Approaching gz, remembered I'd also had a go one time from the north. Strange how easily i zeroed in this time round. Glad to finally have a smiley here, cheers konie!

The cache has been next to a fire as the semista container inside is melted half way
Goodies found it. What!!! no geo mutts aloud ahwell they will just have to guard the car
Well not sure if it was me or cache is not there the dead sruff that is around the gz is vacant
Found it! Geokids did a swap. But cache needs some maintenance. Container is no longer watertight and cache is wet inside. TFTC!!
forgot to log half a dozen caches this day. out for a run to caches with mojohjojo, after having a great morning run at brightwater park run. a great area to run from cache to cache. a great spot, i enjoyed the beautiful bushland. tftc konie
Was glad to find this fab walking track in nature reserve as I normally just speed past it on the Kawana Way and didn't know it was here. There were a few trees down over the trail but nothing was going to stop me today. The location lives up to its description and my geocaching pal thought so to and as we were discussing this fact we found the nice size cache. All is well with it thought there's been a bit of weather in this area. TFTC
Another lovely place I didn't know was there, and at GZ you can't even hear the traffic! An ammo tin is an appropriate find on Anzac Day. TFTC
thank you for the shovel Konie
such a pretty place
found a cool pile of animal bones on the way in
took a little to find the cache
it was right there ... doh
maybe I got distracted looking for a fresh dirt pile

In the area, so thought we'd grab this one before heading off to Currimundi.
Enjoyable walk in, but then we had to find which dead thing. Barb found a shovel! Now it's worrying .
Log signed, cache replaced.

Nice peaceful walk for our 50th find! TFTC. Amazing to see the re growth taken place since the fire in this area
A quick find this morning, very peaceful walk. Took geocoin, looks like this got hit by a fire a while ago. Thanks for the cache!
Passing by again this week and as it was a bit more light than last time, thought I'd have another go.
No reptiles seen this time but did take a bit of circling to narrow down the location. A bit worried about who might be hiding in the long grass but didn't meet anyone today.
Lots of swaps safe & sound in the big tin. Took coins, robot rubber; left spider, frog & sticker.
Left Reef check geocoin, took Enigma geocoin.
Very peaceful in the bush - nice stroll. Have to do the full walk another time.

Quick stroll just before sunset - got to gz and started inspecting likely hides, but one was guarded by someone with rough yellow striped skin curled up all cosy. Did not want to disturb him and not having luck anywhere else, left in the fading light, to return another day.
Calm spring afternoon to be Geocaching in the bush. Had to be wary of spiders crossing our way.

Oops! Found this one months ago and forgot to log! Quite an adventure at night, TFTC!
Totally forgot to log this find. Went on a night-caching adventure back in April. Lots of fun, thanks!
I really enjoyed the peace and serenity of this place today. I wished that I'd brought my mountain bike but it was an easy walk all the same. The bush is growing back nicely after the fire and there were many wildflowers blooming along the track. The GPSr took me straight to the correct location and I found the ammo tin in great condition. Thanks Konie & holster for the reason to explore this area.
A great location and free of sneaky onlookers.

Found by geodaughter while out on family ride/ walk . Beautiful walk in, place seems 2 b regenerating well after fire late last year. Cache is doing ok despite the fire. TFTC .
I was out looking for a new cache that had just been placed nearby and after I grabbed that I thought, as any cacher would, 'I can't walk past this cache on the way back to the car and not grab it...'.
After a little detour and as the name says a little Peace and Serenity I was sitting and relaxing with the cache in hand.
The hardest part about this cache was having to get-up and leave such a peaceful environment. I could have easily had an afternoon nap under one of the regenerating trees.
Thanks for another great cache Konie!
