This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Found on an autumn day, with temperatures in the high 20s, with Shaneo58. We came up from Newcastle/ Lake Macquarie to get a few around the Port Stephens. We started to head to GZ, but found the terrain get to difficult, on heading back to the car I spotted a sesema container in the burr of a tree. It had a card in saying ceocache and a wet log book Log signed and caches replaced as found. The cache was 50metres from GZ and in bad shape. Thanks For The Cache MADSTARS

Having a mini-break in Shoal Bay this week so I'm doing a vit of a geo-tour of the area today. Haven't been to Taylors Beach before but this won't be the kast time ... we are drawn to nice waterside picnic areas like this.
A straightforward find here but it took a couple of minutes all the same, mostly because my GPS had me in the middle of nowhere and I therefore had to check quite a few nearby possibilities, including the rock wall.
Thanks for the hide madstars.

Found the cache while the geokids played in the water. It was low tide so we walked all along the water. Found some nice driftwood to take home and kids found some soldier crabs. TFTC TNLN.
Took a bit of a search but after understanding the hint quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC!!! Nice spot. #1196
After spending the last few days walking, hiking and riding thru the bush in search of the elusive geocache, we decided today to stick to caches we could either drive to, or which only involved a short walk. We'll just have to see how long that lasts!
This is a lovely little spot so we decided to have an afternoon cuppa in the picnic area. It was only then a short stroll beside the water to GZ where we made the find.

I definitely could have pick walking the beach instead of the bush, but oh well. TFTC
A nice morning caches by the water. Seen the geo coin we dropped at Hawks Nest a couple weeks earlier but left it for someone else to take on an adventure. TFTC
We have never taken the turnoff into Taylors Beach before. A very nice little place. The cache was found safely tucked away in its hide. Great waterfront park, TFTC.

Out for a great day caching in Port Stephens today, Oyster Cove, Lemon Tree Passage, Tanilba Bay, Taylors Beach and Soldiers Point. Beautiful scenery at every turn, and the perfect day for it, bright sun, not a cloud in sight and 24 degrees. And then not a single DNF as well.... It doesn't get better than this!
Found this one while the lads chased several hundred thousant soldier crabs around the flats....
Funny - we started navigating here from Lemon Tree, the GPS said 2km, the car GPS said 34km.... needed a boat!

Taylors Beach is one of YGAT's favourite places so we had to call in on the way out. I love the tranquility here. Thanks again MADSTARS.
This is an idyllic place, I just love how quiet it is and it’s so pleasant to stroll around. Thanks so much for placing a cache here MADSTARS.
Another great little spot we have visited looking for caches in your area. Thanks MADSTARS
A nice stroll on the grass along the waterfront led to an easy find in a very tranquil location. TFTC
Great spot for a cache! We arrived in the arvo/Eve on a low tide & got to enjoy a lovely breeze and watch the crabs marching in the sand. Left a little green heart in the cache for the next finder!
No good for kayaking today but I might be back in the morning depending on the wind. Storm brewing right now and its time to get back to the car before it starts pouring . All is well at the cache . Cheers
evangt (the t stands for Taylor) so it is absolutely appropriate to do this one. Lovely drive into Taylor's Beach. Nice tranquil location. Watched to crabs grouped on the beach and some children dragging each other across the beach on boogey board. Cache is an easy find away from where it is happening. Last one of the day. TFTC.
Took the kids back here after a find about 2 yrs ago and we were pleased to find it again!
The tornado (4) and baby Cyclone (1) have now got the "treasure hunting" bug and we are off Geocache'ing around Soldiers point this weekend

I mustn't have plugged this one into my GPS-r so it looks like another trip into Taylors Beach today to finish this one off. I should have brought lunch with me to this one as it is a perfect spot for a picnic. I looked through the previous logs in the book as I had a sit. LOL at some of the drawings. Perhaps a muggle has come across it. However, the cache is nice and dry and good to go.
Tide right out , great area to visit, but Hubby went down the hill to get this one. Easy find TFTC
Headed back to the Nelson Bay area, to pick up a few more caches.
We visited lots of lovely beaches & bushland, where we found a good variety of hides.
Many thanks for placing this cache, MADSTARS, for us and others to find.

On our way to Fingal Bay for the day we decided to collect some smilies we had, until now, neglected.
A quick find of a cache still in good condition. Shame about the poor neglected cat, would have like to have taken it home. TNLNSL. Thanks MADSTARS

Found on our trip to Port Stephens. Well, we went the wrong way for this one, indeed. We didn't realise that you could walk along the shore from a few hundred metres away from GZ, so instead, we bush bashed 40m down the hill towards GZ - not a good idea. Anyway, it was still a lovely area down near GZ, where we quickly found the cache. Great views. TNLNSL. TFTC MADSTARS!
On our way to salt ash for a family gathering, we left early and found a place for breakfast, before coming back to this nice looking beach. Junior still is not to fond of the sea water, so stayed out of the water. Whereas his mother splashed her way along. At GZ we walked perpendicular to the water till we found the cache and signed and returned it, all in pretty good dry condition. On the way back I joined my wife in the shallow water, while Junior drudged along.
Thanks for bringing us to this beach we never would have found otherwise!

Found it on a warm Thursday while staying in Nelson Bay. Nice quiet beach. Lovely spot. TFTC
An easy find in a lovely spot. Have been swimming here before so already found this beauty. TFTC.
found this with Team Bob (Darzee Di, GrimRaider, KitteyKatch, MrRoo and wombatatcrows). This was a great area and enjoyed hunting down this cache I spotted a koala on the drive out of Taylors beach tftc MADSTARS
Found on a four day geocaching weekend to Port Stephens with a bunch of mates. I made my way down to this area with GrimRaider, DarzeeDi and ACTchil and enjoyed checking out another beach. I made the find on this one and we soon had the log book signed and were on our way. On the way back we kept an eye out for koalas and ACTchil spotted one. We stopped the car and took lots of photos - just like the international tourists. A great highlight for us for the weekend. TFTC !
Lol not only did I take the t3 route down the hill from the girl guides site, I then got thrown off by a bottle of 'dry' on the shore and spent 10 minutes looking in the wrong spot. TFTC log full and needs replacing.
A nice walk along a beautiful shore....the boys loved seeing the soldier crabs....lucky we had Mr 13 who was not afraid of snakes to find it!!..
GPSrs took us up to the Guide Camp so we turned around and went down to the park area. A bit of rain around so had the place to ourselves. Found GZ and the search began. Cache was spotted. SLTN TFTC.
24/01/14. 5:18 PM. Cache #1268. 7th of 9 caches today. After clearing out all the caches from Soldiers Point, my next destination was Taylors Beach with its single, eponymous cache. My map app took me to the end of Albert St near the Girl Guides camp, but there was no obvious beach access, so I just headed to the parking at the end of Taylors Rd and followed the waterline to the cache. Easily found but had to be stealthy as the muggle family next door were out playing in their yard, so I took the cache down the beach with me to sign it, then walked it back.
Before heading back to where we're staying (Shoal Bay), I targeted 2 more caches in the Mambo Wetlands Reserve near Salamander Bay. TFTC }:)
