After many moons looking wistfully across the waves to this secluded sanctuary, finally took the plunge today & navigated into a secluded beach as the tide was at it height.
With a rustic chart & hearsay the only guide, a path was blazed into the islands heart until at last the fabled chest was unearthed. Have left some extra booty and a travel bug for the next noble seafarer to journey this way...
T4TC Gibbo!!!
What a great adventure to bring up 600!

so pleased when Grant the captain of our craft offered to take me out to this one. have been wanting to do this one for a number of years and today was my lucky day. Tree had fallen on it and with the extra pair of eyes the treasure was spotted, log signed and put back. TFTC
Anyone in Darwin next week keen for the voyage? I'd happily be someones first mate.
Cheers

Nothing like a lunchtime grab!! I was doing a small craft boat course with the Northern Territory Emergency Services when I asked my boss/instructor a fellow geocacher if he has found this cache his said he didn't but was so excited when I mentioned it. We waited till we had our lunch break to grab this one. A bit of a walk in and up a small hill we continued our search. After a short search the 'treasure was found'. I am so happy to have found this cache and to be able to place another smiley face on the map.
Thanks for placing this cache I enjoyed the hunt.

Out fishing the Darwin harbour hoedown (P.G.F.C) and noticed this one on Catalina Island. Couldn't help myself and had to detour to find it. Awesome view in another spot I would have never visited without Geocaching TNLN TFTC
Aye, aye my little hearties!!! We found the Pirates treasure. We were out on a boating trip up the creeks around East Arm and thought we'd stop to have a look for this one on the way. High tide on the way up was a bit useless, so stopped by on the way back . It was perfect to hop off the boat mid high and low tides. Did not hold out high hopes for a find, as it had not been logged for well over three years. And yet, there it was, still as good as new. Have attached a photo of the Pirates treasure. It was well worth the effort of walking through the bush. Not sure about attempting it during the wet though. Nice to get another 5 terrain rated cache
I Came, I Saw, I Thought - no way. Now if only I had my inflatable orca, then, maybe I'd have a go.
It was LOW tide. (Came back on 30/5 when it was high tide, still no way).

We sort it high We sort it low. Scratchs and scraps later but no joy. Very overgrown so must have been hiding in the growth...
Been hanging out for this one for a long time... eventually organised my water taxi (and that'a another story!) and when I got there, I remembered I'd left my swappables behind!
Thanks Gibbo
Thanks Gibbo
after hubby had put new rollers on the boat trailer, we needed to align the boat back on the trailer, so to kill two birds with one stone, we took the opportunity to get this cache. was quiet windy when we put the boat in and worse when we came back to the ramp, and tryning to find a spot to pull the boat up to out of the wind was fun. we got there in the end and our eldest son and i jumped ashore to look for the cache. left a compass keyring and took pirate coin and the GC- GNHR8W. Decided to take the first available plane out of Edmonton airport and have found myself in the beautiful city of Darwin thanks for joining me on†Vacation, Vacation, Vacation†(GC1DWAA) where it would be good to have a swim.
You have guessed it the flip flops and snorkel are back in the suitcase and what’s this about snakes, box jellyfish and crocodiles you don’t get these problems at Cleethorpes I’m beginning to have slight worries about world travel. I think I will let these Pirates keep this cache. But you did not come all this way to find me for nothing How about the first digit of the cache owners name? Thanks to Gibbo003 for the imposition. Note tell the Professor I just popped out for a walkabout. I’m off to the airport.

Promptly attended this one for FTF, knowing that few cachers have nautical transport. What a lovely day for cruise on the water, like glass it was. X marks the spot and the treasure was found . Even had time for dress ups. Still no fish though .
