I noticed this cache has a string of DNFs and that the CO has not verified the cache status. I have temporarily disabled this listing, to give the cache owner an opportunity to repair their cache in accordance to the cache maintenance guidelines. http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance

Had a good look and reasonably confidant we worked out the correct co-ordinates for final spot , but no luck in our search - pleasant place to look though
Had the puzzle sorted pretty easy. then off the find the cache. Searched for a while but no biscuit. Another time maybe.
Searched and searched, but didn't find it. Had other caches to find and Mrs Sharpe couldn't bend down to look at bases of trees, 4 weeks from due date, tummy quite big. We will return again, probably when bubs is born
It was very hard to find. I thought it was the tree closest to the memorial but it was a bit further away than that.

Left work early, as I wanted to get some caching in.
This seems to be the place I go after work if I wanna get some bulk caching in. Slowly trip by trip am beginning to clear out the area.
Headed out at 2pm, with main goal being finishing off the new part of the lolly trail, as well as pretty much the part south of Tram Rd.
I know I write this with every single one of these caches pretty much, but I can't belive that like every village has one of these memorials. It's so sad!! We lost so many young men in the wars... quite depressing really. Imagine their poor mothers, girlfriends, wives, children etc hearing off their losses... or soetimes just not knowing!
So took a good look at the memorial, and figured out where this cache would be... did like 4 typos in the GPS, and every time I would look at where it was pointing me, and be like that doesn't seem right! Till I typed the correct coords in and found the cache too... haha.

Love military history caches & a nice multi to solve after enjoying the world famous pies over the road!
Ended up with "dial a friend" to TheWanglers who confirmed we were in the right place, & had cache in hand seconds later.

Was out and about trying to reach my 900th milestone and had to grab one more since I DNFed one up the road. I gave this one a crack and was rewarded with cache not too far away and another reminder of the sacrifice of all the men who lost lives in the Great War and WWII. Thanks for this multi and the reminder to pause for a moment to those who have paid the ultimate price for what we enjoy and some extent take for granted.

Mr Geckoh completed this multi whilst the rest of the team gave the van a bit of a tidy and feed and watered the dogs. He must have worked it out alright on his own because he soon had the final in hand. TFTMC

Thanks for this multi and for highlighting this memorial. Always good to have a closer look and think about these. Quick easy find too.
Quick multi and good use of the information from the monument. Pleased with the location of the final.
A quick find this afternoon, had the place to myself with nobody round. No problems with the questions - signed log, TFTC
Quiet morning for an offset multi.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Out on a day's caching with SeaScoutMat, with the dual purpose of visiting the re-opened Springfield donut and replacing a pen I'd removed from a cache.
I was concerned that the maths might put us wrong, but nope... bang on!
Enjoyed a brief moment's remembrance at the monument, surprised at the number of names on there for such a small place.
Minor excitement down the road as a fire truck sat there, lights flashing. Turned out to be a fire station.

Took this on our way from Arthur's Pass to Christchurch. Easy multi and easy find. TNL small toy.

Hi all you fellow geocachers. Just started today and this is our very first cache ever. We celebrated with some great pies from the Sheffield pie shop nearby.
Out and about on a days adventure chasing the Coast to Coasters. Info quickly gathered and cash found in a handy wee spot. Thanks.
fairly new to Geocaching so stopped here to check out a nice easy find on our way back to the west coast
Really enjoy multi-cache's - will have to do some more Discovered no TB as listed on log, but left a coin instead - Happy flight!
Found this cache on a day trip in the car from Christchurch, west along Old West Coast Road, up to Oxford then back down into Christchurch going north of the Waimak, a big loop. By now my pants were ripped up the front, my legs are bleeding and I'm soaking wet from the waist down - it was a good start to the day. This cache was number 5 of 27 for today TFTC (501)

Gathered the info ok, but a picnic at GZ gave me an excuse for a pie, GZ clear by the time I had had that.

Gathered the information and found the cache in a cold blustery wind. This small country town gave a lot to the war effort. Thanks for showing us.
Then we were off to the Sheffield Pie shop to buy something warm for lunch. We would highly recommend the Chicken, Camembert and Apricot sauce.

First port of call was the Famous Sheffield Pie Shop for a pie/bikkie/coffee lunch. Once suitably fortified it was time to stroll across the road and rail to GZ. After scratching around unsuccessfully at MY GZ for a couple of minutes I widened the search and ....... yahoo!!! At last!!! This must be the 3rd or 4th time that I have searched for this cache. I'm sure I searched THAT spot before - maybe I should wear my glasses full-time. Thanks for the cache.
Is it the second or is the third time that I have stopped here and failed to find this cache. I was aware this time that the web page formulae had changed. Maybe I was too distracted by the thoughts of what pie I was going to have for lunch? Anyway the cache will keep for another day, the pie won't. .
P.S. The pie was scrumptous.

Started this yesterday. Worked out the cache location only to find muggles were very close by so didn't attempt to find. Came back today and easily found. TFTC.
Our first Geocache today - walking distance from house
Found it after a few learner glitches!!

My type of multi!!! Nice and clean and the cache close by. Really enjoyed this one. Thank you.
These memorials are important to remind us of the sacrifice and suffering that some families have endured so that we can live the way we do. It is great to see them so well preserved and looked after. TFTC and bringing us here.
6171 Took a moment to reflect on those who gave their lives, many thanks for highlighting Sheffield’s Fallen.
Had a cuppa on steps of memorial while gathered the info and worked it all out, then easily found the cache. SL.
Wonder if we made a mistake somewhere with our numbers as the cache was about 70ft away from where our calculated coordinates took us. Didn't take long to find using the hint to help us though. Dropped off Cachin Cop Geocoin. Spotted the 'award winning' pie shop over the road, so went to celebrate the find - yum!!! SL. TFTC.
Moved Final to a new position very close to old, and amended cache description for new coordinates.
Thanks to the last cacher for finding it and providing instructions.
However, there has been extensive cleaning up in the area, and there are roadworks nearby. The general vicinity is obviously being tidied and reviewed by LTNZ or the council. I will give it a month and pop back to see if they have finished their work then, and whether there is anywhere left at that time that the cache can be relocated to.

ANZAC day is a great day to visit places like that (unless there is a parade just when you arrive). This was our 3rd attempt and we are happy to say that we have found this cache. It was not where it should be so we placed it to a different spot (original GZ has been destroyed by the local landscapers) and informed the owner. Good luck for the future, we hope that this cache will be in full action soon.
Found on the way to ChCh 12th for the day. found with clue only, found with gracie7. TFTC
Printed this one out awhile ago and didnt end up doing it on our way past due to time restrictions, this time through we had plenty of time but I grabbed the wrong notes - so while I headed back to the car my caching partner looked in the obviously spots and found it so in the end we didnt end up decrypting the co-ords for the cache. MaD Cow TB is not in the cache Found it with Ariestiger on the way to ChCh. TFTC
Tried it again, but second time no luck. Either we have the wrong coordinates or the cache is a victim of the latest landscaping in the area.
The DNF cacher had the correct coordinates. Sounds like it may have bit the big one. Will get out and check but may be a few days. Please note if you are thinking of pursuing this one this week.
Nice cache! However, I mucked up the coordinates, and found the cache more by luck than anything else. Unfortunately I didn't see the cow travel bug - hopefully he's still there though. (I was distracted, so wasn't really concentrating on the cache...) TFTC.
Hi everybody,
Would you do us a favour?
If you go for this cache, could you take MaD Cow TB with you? This little fellow has spent there very long time and bacame little bit bored. Thanx a mill. M+D

Coords put us between two bushes and a tree. Expanded the search to all of the trees in the little cluster there. No luck though. Anyway merry Xmas and greetings from Germany!
Got around to checking this one based on some previous logs expressing difficulty finding it. Would've been quicker but was receiving logs that it was found in the meantime, so there didn't seem to be any hurry.
Was in exactly the right place.
If your coords are off, then either you've got bad coverage, or you got the number search wrong.

It’s always nice to come across a nice easy multicache on the drive to Christchurch, especially when you haven’t got much time. The funny thing about the final was that we were searching in this one spot when the cache was just right behind us! TN. Left sig mini magnet. Thanks One-Fang for the cache. #1005
Nice little multi - thanks. Not sure what the other logs mean - coordinates spot on. TFTC
I would beg to differ Mr Moose, a few metres out, but didn't take more than a few minutes. Thanks. Oh, whilst I remember, it would be that the people are getting slightly different co-ords because of the final clue to 'F'. I think it should refer to letters in the surname, as this brought me a lot closer to the Cache than letters in the name ! Cheers, 2Teddies.
Then somebody's probably moved it. Having already defined "surname" in C, it is the full name in F, not the surname. I'll check it. This log will eventually disappear off the first page anyway.
Found it, although we did have to expand the search area a little from GZ. TFTC
Same as BaldEd, we are sure to have the correct answers but could not locate the cache. Maybe next time on the way to Arthurs pass....
I'm sure I got all the answers correct (I double checked them), but maybe my eyesight is playing up. No amount of looking or thrusting with my hiking pole produced an affirmative result. I'll keep a watch on this one.
Easy first WPT and an easy (very quick) find for Mrs R! Yay for her. lol. A gorgeous day to be out, we were on our way home from an unsuccessful hunt for toboggan friendly snow. Had a lovely picnic at Lake Lyndon anyway.

We had been up at Porters Ski field (with Larkminda) to let our two year old have a go on her sled. She wasn't hugely enthusiastic, in fact she was downright grumpy, so we bailed and decided to cache our way home to Christchurch. We found this one with one hand each as the other one was holding a pie from the shop across the road. TNLN Thanks.
#769 (6/11 in inland Canterbury on a sunny Winter's day). Quickly solved and found. Very peaceful spot. After the cache we popped across the road for a pie (and the first scotch egg I have had in a long time). TFTC.
It is sad to see the long list of the men who died, especially in WW1.
Fairly quick find. Can recommend the local cornish pasties. TFTC.

A-hah! Found the little blighter this time. Not far from where I looked last time. D'oh! Cheers Gav [3825]
A nice easy multi that was done while the duo of Wotefa and myself indulged in the famous Shefield pies. Nice and quick and hunger held at bay we quickly continued with our caching run.
Just had to stop for a pie here.thank you for not using some of the other trees!

Keen to find this as so close to Anzac Day. GPS inisted on an impossible place so went back to WP and .. yes one error. When corrected coords we went straight to GZ. Couldn't resist a pie (and a pack of biccys). TNLN TFTC
Went there, solved the puzzle easily, it let us to a point not far away ... got some scratches but didn't find it ....next time? Does one need to get scratched to get to the cache?
Spotted this car as we were eating pies across the road, yelled out at the figure, but he belted off to fast to notice us
No luck here. Think I got all the info, but the GPs put me in between quite a few trees and I didn't have the bottle for a grid search this late in the afternoon since a 6am caching start. Apparently my failure was recorded by a fellow cacher! Small world.

Mmm, pies. The memorial was being upgraded - some concrete work and boxing in evidence. Nice to see places like this getting cared for. Quickly solved and a scurry around to find. TFTC TNLN
