Found what was left of it about 6pm
It is with regret that I inform you that the late Trestle Tussle was cremated alive yesterday (possibly today even).
Ashes to ashes dust to dust. etc etc
Came in from warragal direction and stoped beside the road at the lookout to enter coords into gps. Saw brown patches on the top of some of the forest - thought nothing of it. Apon ariving smoke was still comming from the blackened forrest flaw. There was one other car there, so played tourist until they wern't looking. After they left found gps gz. Looked around for 15 min or so (taking care not to step into burning root holes)- found the left overs. The most notable was a book - tried to open - pages were white ash not paper. Poked around a bit found a small metal spring and a browny red role of somthing (audio book??).
To the north some well baked shrubs flared to the south west a large tree crashed echoing through the hills and thus ended my visit.
Will there be a TT the second? Who knows - what do you think Mr Q
PS the bridge is "a ok" - looks like they (the dept of constantly changing names) have wetted it down before starting their fuel reduction burn (sign said it would be conducted from 18/3 - 25/3).
Thanks Mr Q

Found today by Mr.Coffee and family.
This has been on our list from the start due to our love of the area, so when I had the opportunity to find this one I must say I was excited. after searching for around 10 minutes I decided to go back down to the car and get the other GPS for a cross reference. As I returned to the area all ready to find the cache, Mrs Latte yells found it over here,(dam dont you hate that). At least she was kind enough to let me fill in the log book. My Magellan Meridian read the following cordinates [S37.54.055 - E145.59.006] Thanks heaps Quaser for this cache and making our weekend camping more fun. I would love to do a weekend geocache get together around this area perhaps at toorongo falls camping ground? (anyone interested?). after the cache, waterfalls, trout farm (great people running it) and cheese factory ran out of time for the Gallery cache. took ear mask, left ruler, cloth badge, coffee card, mouse pad, temp tattoo and pen.
again Thanks Quasar.
Regards
Mr.Coffee

[:(!] Lesson one - Let your GPS aquire fully before searching for cache, otherwise you end up wandering around in the bush about 200 meters away from the actual location.
[:(!] Lesson two - Let your GPS aquire fully before searching for cache, otherwise you end up wandering around in the bush about 200 meters away from the actual location.
[:(!] Lesson three - Let your GPS aquire fully before searching for cache, otherwise you end up wandering around in the bush about 200 meters away from the actual location.

Located at 0730 hours on our way fishing, great way to introduce someone to geocaching - black berries, leeches, aimless wanderings until "Sorry we should be over there!!!"
Took compass to replace GPS.
Left EAR resus mask.
Found by Vombatus (Idiot) and Graham.

Found at 2.00 pm after a bit of a search due to the difficulty with good satelite coverage. The clue really helped with this one. Impressive site and lovely location. Took sticky tape, left spider. Thanks Quasar.
I found this one easily as the lid was exposed and visible from some distance. Another car arrived at about the same time I found it, so I hurriedly finished my log entry and rehid the cache without making an exchange.
I found another two such trestle bridges in Gippsland, both parts of rail trails but neither has been restored. One was just before Nowa Nowa and the other is near Kilcunda.
Thanks for the cache, Quasar. Its in such a beautiful area.

After an afternoon's horse riding at Noogee my wife Pam, daughter Rachel and I stopped off at the trestle bridge to look for this cache. I had a lot of trouble getting an accurate fix on the cache due to the many trees in the immediate vicinity, and found the best method to be to walk half way along the bridge to get into the open, and then walk back taking a distance and bearing until the GPS began to feel uncomfortable in the trees. A GPS with a serious antenna would be a marked advantage here, although maybe it was just the position of the satellites today. We (Rachel was the champ) eventually found the cache after about 30 mins.
Left an Audio Book No Entry - No Exit
Took a Neck Cooler
Thanks Quasar - second of your caches we hit this Melbourne Cup loooong weekend.

Found by Mary & David at 1730. Just had time for one cache hunt late on Sunday afternoon after our family weekend at Warragul. What a stunning location. Brought back many memories for Mary, who lived at nearby Neerim South for quite a few years while still at school. The late afternoon light and mist created a great atmosphere. Pity about the 4WD hoons who had chewed up the grassy hillside at the carpark beside the stairs up to the bridge. Took us longer than it should have to find the cache though - our GPSr showed 23m standing over the cache. We found it after ignoring the GPS, which consistently led us to a spot quite near the track, and looking for likely logs instead. Took the NSW Ambulance keyring and left the lensatic compass we retrieved yesterday at CCC. Thanks Quasar.
Found at around 4.00pm by geofreak & wj after a short search. Structures like this bridge impress you with what can be acheived without the modern technology of today. no exchanges today.
Found at 10.30am by Kevin & Meredith on our way through for a walk in high country.
It took a short search to locate cache.
GPS got very confused under heavy tree cover.
Took Car Converter and left mini tool kit.
Good location - K&M

KAAM were on the trail to our first cache. Our trusty GPS guided us all the way to the site, found some nice backroads on our way there in our local area that we hadnt seen before, some nice scenery and a good start to the day!
Arrived at the site to find thick cloud cover and poor directions from the GPS, kept changing its mind and couldn't fix on the location. Backwards and forwards over the bridge, in the back of my mind i can hear others saying how simple it is!
Ahhh found the problem, our GPS not set to (WGS-84)
Cool ... found our first cache, right where it was supposed to be! Nice job Quasar! Cache still in perfect condition, the kids took the beeswax candle and left some Maccas keyrings and logged a visit. Don't worry about the Aerogaurd, the Marsh flies ate all the mozzies!

Visited with Cameron. This was our first attempt so decided to visit an area I knew well and a fairly easy cache. We both really enjoyed the experience and will visit many more. Thanks Quaser! Found it in about 2 minutes. In good condition, lots of people about so took care not to be observed. Left a NSW Ambulance commemerative pewter key ring and Cam grabbed the Cyprus Hill CD (which made a real change as I was listening to Verdi on the way there- yes, there is 30 years difference in our ages!).
Found by Trevor (Trooper) at 1030hrs on Thursday the 17th of Jan 2002.
Was working in the area and decided to take the GPS just in case I had time to play. Found the cache after at short search as I forgot to bring the hints with me. Filled in the log, didn’t take or leave anything, as I was unprepared. Definitely agree with nomads, left with plenty of mozzie bites.

Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) at 12:15PM on Tuesday the 8th of January 2002.
As did tonymid before us, we took the long way to the cache, but from the North, initially from Beechworth the day before, but from Eildon the previous night. Some lovely country and bush across through Cumberland Junction and McMahons Creek. We picked up three caches from Avenel on the Hume to Eildon, on the Monday, then Trestle Tustle this afternoon on the way back home. An excellent cache location with a great backdrop and again, an area we would not have considered to visit if not for Geocaching. We had no difficulty locating the cache and took a neck cooler in return for a roll of packing tape. The area was rife with mozzies, the cache definately needs a can of Aerogard. Thanks for the oportunity to visit the area. Ray and Maya.

Found by Tony, Consuela and John after coming the long way through the Bunyip forest from Bunyip. Lots of trees down in the forest and a few detours. Headed for Powelltown but when we got there we found ourselves still 20km from the cache. Afetr a short lunch stop we headed for the cache site and found the cache after 20 mins searching around. As usual I had been close to standing on the cache a few times before I found it! John took a small torch and I left a CD from another cache. Great location for a cache again. There's so many great places you would never see if it wasn't for Geocaching.
Found it at 12.35pm on a wet and cold Sunday.(Make sure you BYO toilet paper if you want to use the loo.) What a beautiful drive to a beautiful place! We'll be back again when the weather is better. Swapped a Battleship game for two Cold Shoulders (neck coolers).

Found at 11.15am. Geocaching has taken us to many interesting areas which we wouldn't have otherwise known about and this was one of them. It amazed us how such a structure could have been built without modern day equipment. Had to move a tree off the road, which had blown over in the strong winds, to gain access to the car park. Found the cache without too much trouble and swapped a keyring torch for the map light. Greg and Bev
