We trip, tramp over the bridge ,under the bridge in the bushes/stairs everywhere but did not come up with the goods. Looks like the locals have taken up hiding in the bushes below. Many muggles seen today at this spot. Stealth required they come from all directions. We did the tourist thing and pretended to be taking photos. Will have to return another day for another go.
I Trolled the Rocks and Rocked the Trolls
spent more than an hour (total) yesterday and today.

We huffed up the hill in the endless drizzle that haunts Clare at this time of year only to not be able to locate this cache. Will try next time we are in the area.
Baron X and I hunted around for a bit but then the muggles began to arrive...one, two , three cars worth! We didn't want the muggles thinking we were up to anything odd snuffling around beneath the boardwalk so we had to give up on this one for today.
After a couple of attempts I can finally put this one to bed, it's amazing where a bit of experience can get you. And it helps to have your caching hat on.

Found by Barry and Beryl on way home from the JJJ event.
Lovely view from this location
Thanks for the cache.

Not quite where we thought it would be, but turned out to be a fairly easy find. Another place around Clare with great views, with this one overlooking the town. TNLNSL. Thanks team ransid for the cache.
Found it - but not where I expected. Just sneaky enough to throw us for a bit. Thank you. Good views, as well.
A quick find and a nice view! Been to Clare so many times before and never knew this was here! TFTC Number 7 of 15 for us today
Having decided there was no easy way to this one, we reached the top to find the car park! Thanks. Webbys from Scotland.
As is often the case there probably would have been an easier route to this one had we thought about it. We did enjoy poking around the giant rubbish bins at the back of Woolworths but if you want a hint from me the way up the hill is very near by but you have to go quite some distance to get to it. TFCTC
Found on a day out in the Clare Valley. Got the cache no probs, but as I went to replace it, some muggles arrived to admire the view from just above GZ. They took it in pretty quickly, by the time I walked around the path, they were on their way down again.
Found while on a short holiday with Briben. Better luck this year than last year. Found it straight away and signed log. TFTC
trip trap trip trap no one was walking on this bridge when we found the cache! TFTC
I tramped and I tromped and then heard the Troll!
Eeeeeek!
Or was it the Woolies air conditioner???
Thanks for the view

Tricky little one that had all of us (geo-old-people included) acting like trolls until geo-mum came up with the goods again. Great hide!!
The kids loved clambering over this bridge, obviously I was the troll but found quickly and on our way. TFTC
I made a meal of this one.
Finally parked down the bottom and used the "Slippery Stairs"
My first look was in the wrong place. Pity I took so long with it because I came a winner very quickly at the second spot.

Didn't realise that this cache was archived as it was still showing as active on our database in GSAK that we downloaded for the weekend.
Did a search for a while on this one with no luck. We then took a different tack on the trolls and found the cache and signed it. It is still there.

We looked and looked to no avail. I am sure the troll watching our every move from the house behind didn't help! Will come back and try again one day.
Soon discovered it can't be reached from the carpark below. Mrs Ermalesh came up with the goods once we drove up to the right spot. TFTC
Given the 2 previous DNF's I am now feeling rather chuffed with myself for finding this cache without Mr E! It had Mrs Sullie and I stumped for a while but we found it just in time before a car load of muggles drove up to the lookout.

Gave ourselves 15 min. David scoured the troll's lair from top to bottom, but didn't find anything. That troll is too well hidden.
Found with the little one securely belted in the car - bit too big a drop for her, although she was eager to find it! GPS was close today. TFTC
Beauty view in the night, search search so sms to one of my friend to give me another hint. then found it phew!!. SL. Thanks Team Ransid for organising the cache and hunt.
Got this one pretty quickly, which is unusual for me. Found it at 4.10 pm. Had muggles to deal with. Not a spot I would have known to come to so TFTC.
This took us waaaay too long to find [B)].
Co-ords were 4m out on a clear day, but after reading some other logs, we finally located it.
TNLNSL.

It took us quite a while to find this one. It was more a matter of thinking in unconventional terms when it comes to places such as this! Muggles interrupted a couple of times, but left us alone rather quickly.
I hunted around for a while in what I thought were likely spots, but found it slightly further afield once I broadened my search. I'm sure you get a nice view up there in daylight hours!
My geohusband was with me for the day. It took us a while to find it. Luckily for us as the troll did not eat us. [:o)]
Thanks Team Ransid for the cache.

Found this cache on a trip to Adelaide from Wollongong via Broken Hill then back again through Griffith and Canberra. The date of our visit might be off. TFTC
Found ourselves looking in the wrong spot for a few minutes, then came up with the cache fairly quickly. SL. TFTC.
Took quite a while to find this one as we were distracted by the nearby structure. Got a bit excited by the sight of a virgin log book but knew it wasn't a FTF. Two cars turned up as we were trying to replace the cache but were slow enough in getting out of their cars for us to replace and return.
The rose garden at one end of the car park was absolutely stunning!

The Three Billy Goats Gruff is back in action! Hope it stays in place better now!
This cache has gone missing again! This is the second time. We hope to find a better place to hide the cache in the vicinity of the original cache in the near future.
Some muggles came to cross our bridge so we were tempted to growl and scare them away as we wandered the earth like discontented trolls. But despite the quick disappearance of these little goats we could not find the cache. Me thinks some little muggle billy goat must have found it first unless this troll is blind from hunger.
A little hidden away lookout some nice views of the town. TFTC

Number 2 for the day.....number 2 of our geocaching 'Career' actually. Thanks for the fun. We are lookng at everyone suspiciously now....lol
J and I were in Clare for our private wedding ceremony at Wuthering Heights B&B. We had time to squeeze in one quick cache before we had to be out there, so chose this one . Didn't take long to spot the little container once we were on the right level. A quick signing of the log scroll, then we were off to sign our wedding certificate. Thanks team ransid, great spot!
Got this on 2nd visit, after couldnt find it in the dark and rain last night!
Needed the helpline too... bugger

We looked and looked and in the end we had to resort to the Caching hot line. (thanks Rodney!) Found by our honorary team member in the end. Found the cache while visiting Clare for a good friends 50th birthday. The caching in and around Clare just topped off a perfect and significant weekend. Had a lovely time with friends at Bungaree Station Saturday night and then caught up with a lot more old and dear friends at the Uniting Church on Sunday morning. And to top it off we caught up with Moses on the Move near Owen on the way home. Great hide in a really lovely part of the world. Thanks Team Ransid for taking the time to place the cache!

Not the right day for us. We walked up to the lookout, only to find 3 teenage wine drinking muggles there. They were drinking straight from the bottles! They were not shifting .. so we had to head off without any chance of looking. ...eatmorchickin and Stigglepot from Brisbane.
This took a while to find
Really nice views from up here. I lived in this town for a short time back over 38 yeras ago and I still think it's a beautiful place

I too needed a subtle nudge before I spotted this one, and this, my 2nd attempt at it. How did I not see it before?
Mr matmob said why don't we go and have a look at Billy Goat's Lookout? Well, what do you know, there is a cache there!! Bonus. Once again, Mr m was the spotter here - and from above! He even spotted 5c on the ground. Another bonus!! SL, TFTC
found on a pastors retreat with dsfifty... oops I mean ds-fifty, and a couple of muggle pastor tag alongs! TFT view and the cache.
Found with Voogoofish as part of the Clare SA Baptist Pastor's Retreat. Joined by a very interested newbie who made the find. TFTC
Found with a not so subtle nudge from the last finder. I had forgotten this location existed. Great position.
Grabbed this one at half time today [^] It was great to hear the local kookaburras in full voice nearby SL TFTC
You've got to get lucky with micro's sometimes. Walked straight up to this one. TFTC Nice view
That was really an awesome place to visit. i never would've known about that view had it not been for geocaching. We watched an artist painting a picture of the town, it was wonderful!!!
Searched for quite awhile before reading previous logs and refining our search - yep, it had fallen again. We wedged it in what we hoped was the hiding spot fairly securely, but we wonder if the traffic above helps the cache wiggle its way out?
Found at 3.30, whilst waiting for the boss who is visiting the area. Great day to enjoy the view.
Cheers from Barra

an easy find for Gum-Nut after netball practice, but must admit Gum-Mum was looking for her glasses! Thanks for drawing attention to this lovely lookout that is not well known
Hi seekers
After receiving the DNF infor from Nibs, Team Ransid went to check it's Three Billy Goat's gruff Micro cache.
It appeared that the micro cache had fallen from it's hiding spot and was lying in the leaves below.
I'm sorry that Nibs could not find it.
It has now been put back in it's spot. Be aware it is somewhat camouflaged.
If it falls from it's hiding spot again Team ransid may choose to modify this cache.

Took a second look today and this time it was where it should have been. Finding it was easy, getting the log back in the cache had its challenges. What ever happened to the gun that used to be on the top of this hill? Thanks
We looked and looked for ages, but came up empty-handed. I just hope the answer to the cache location wasn’t in the cache notes, as I wasn’t about to spend my whole day reading all that [^]
I didn’t feel like a goat at all when I scored this FTF. A bonus really. Saw a number of goat herds along the way which added to the pleasure. Why are sheep a flock and goats a herd….[?] ..that is the question that sprang to mind… nothing gruff.
Our thanx to team ransid from TeamAstro [^]
Tried for our first FTF. No luck here...TeamAstro beat us by getting here a few hours earlier. Grandma found the cache; a first for her!
