Logs
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache [red]within the next couple of months[/red], just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
This cache definitely needs to be checked as we wasted a lot of time looking for it and it seems others have done the same.We don't always have all the info with us when we are out so assume that if it is listed it is there, please do something about this.
Searched high and low. After reading all the other logs we didn't hold much hope of finding this cache. Owner definately needs to check on this one.
Not There!!! Bugger. Like the other few before us - the co-ordinates took us to the middle of nowhere, and despite looking in every available nook and cranny in the vicinity - no luck. Definately needs to be checked by the owners.
In Aussie doing a spot of caching. Looked for a while but like other recent logs, no luck. Plenty of post cyclone work happening here so may pay to check.
The GPS had GZ in the middle of a grassy area of the park. There are not too many places one can hide a cache so we suspect that it may have been muggled. The owner may need to check this one out.
looked and looked but could not find. Will wait to see if someone else finds before trying again
GPS kept taking us to the middle of the car park. Looked all round but had to give up after about 30 minutes.
Found this one pretty quickly and we were there in the late afternoon so muggles weren't a problem. This would be a great place for a family visit.
Found this one on our motorbike weekend to Eungella. What a lovely park - and then we got to enjoy the rainforest beside it. Good hide , which stretched our imagination to avoid the muggles picnicing nearby. We finally grabbed the booty - but putting it back was a bit difficult. Thanks for a great hide. The only sad thing is the big sign for 1080 baits laid in the area for wild pigs. Have they thought of all the other animals, birds and insects that will be killed in the National Park? There were so many scrub turkeys and other birds in the immediate area - not to mention the platypus in the river nearby. Took Geocoin lefT nothing as I had left my bag back at the bike, sorry. TFTC.
Found during our great holidays in Australia...
Thanks to all australian cachers to help us discover these places!!

Quick find in the most likely spot. I was just after spying the little floating egg laying monotremes. TKS 4 the cache
No sleeping in around here - the Sulphur Crested Cockatoos are soooooooo noisy. They would even wake a platypus!!!
Cache was soggy so dried out logbook and replaced container (compliments of the chef)
Nice place for a picnic after checking out the platypus earlier.

Our gps became posessed at this site wasted 2 hours. but had an absolutely wonderful time gorgeous place.
Absolutely pouring down rain when I got to GZ. The Oregon wasn't giving its usual high performance so it took a few minutes to fins the correct hiding spot.
Cache Log & box is wet, tried to dry out with a rag with limited success.

Today we visited the Eungella National Park. A beautiful walk from Eungella to Broken River. We enjoyed the scenic views and the tall trees of the rainforest. We arrived at the wrong time to spot the Platypus but we did see a lot of turtles. And we found the cache, hidden at a nice place. No muggles today!

Nice easy find. On arriving at GZ there was a wedding just finishing up in the park, sat around for a bit then got it. Nice cache! We also spotted the platypus.

Found this one today. Been there often and could not belief that the cache is in such a obvious spot. My daughter took the gps and found it very quickly. Took: Surf Board. Left: Bart Simpson. TFTC

Find this one after spending the night at Eungella Dam a little further down the track. Nice, easy find with the only muggle being an inquisitive bush turkey!

Wow, we didn't know what we were in for when setting off from Sarina. The cane fields seemed endless, then we were climbing an escarpment and the views were sensational. Reached GZ and luckily no-one in the vicinity so we were able to grab and log the find without a problem. Then we were off to the viewing platform, but unfortunately no platapus' around but we were entertained by lots of turtles. Definitely worth the long drive, encourage other cachers to make the effort.

congrats indeed ... I think it is bloody amazing that I managed to find it at all, ... now knowing that you had moved it that same morning [?]
149 ft / 50m search radius ...
yep ... I was confident that it would be there somewhere ...
+ I also think I know where it was originally stashed
cheers

I gave my brother Body Stepping Freak the opportunity to be first to find taking him up here during his visit to Mackay. He couldn't do it... even with the advantage that Dandent didn't have, that being that the cache was not yet moved to it's new location. Yep that's right. I moved it to where I originally wanted to hide it. On the day it was hidden picnicing muggles prevented me from putting it where I wanted it. Apologies to Dan for not having my co-ords updated sooner. The cache should be easier to access now and less likely to be submerged. (As it would appear it was at the first hiding spot). Congrats to Dandent and "harden up" to Body Stepping Freak!

well what can I say ...
got it eventually.
opted to go have a look today ... bit late for the platypus, but have spent many hours watching them up here, when I used to work for QPWS. Got to GZ, not too many people, started having a scratch around where the GPSr was indicating, ... with no joy. Found a couple of likely spots ... still nothing. 20 min or so & the park was starting to fill up with day trippers. So opted to do the walk out to Granite Bend instead - pleasant as always.
Hour or so later, got back to the park ... more people ... got another fix ... indicated the same area, had another look ... still nothing ?
Having had experience with some of Freaky's other caches ... decided it had to be there ... just couldn't locate it where I was looking [?]
Reread the posted note, elimanated some of the areas I had been scouring ... and focused on the first part of the note 'In a park, easy access' = 'easily accessible' & therefore no real scrub bashing required.
Had given up ... and was opting for the humble retreat and the posting of another DNF ... and was just looking in some hidey holes on the way back to the car ... hello.
Don't know what's going on Freaky - but managed to claim a find - some 50m away from where my GPSr was indicating the posted coords to be [?] (admittedly it was a little difficult to get a good fix - but I reckon you should up the difficulty with the posted coords )
Not sure if any others have had a go ... but here's my position - averaged out while I logged the find
S21 10.124 E148 30.348
Anyway left behind Bunya's Black Cat - is that allowed in a National Park? & took nothing but the FTF
thanks Freaky - nice art work too - loved the glitter
