Took us while to find as GPS was having a hissy fit but eventually we found the sneaky hide T4TC.

Quick trip down the steps and a relatively simple find. Had trouble writng on the damp log - needs replacing or drying out. TFTC
Needs lookin at.--you are welcome to find it you are desperate! in the meantime
Found this one OK.
Log is very wet though. Needs maintenance.
Replaced as found. Some muggle dodging needed, but no work in progress on a Sunday so avoided that issue.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Always great to wander round the Auckland bays. This bay will sure look better without that ugly pipe. I wonder if the locals were responsible for blocking an access road from this side of the bay? Found pretty quickly. Cheers.
Too many workmen around to have a good look. Interesting place to see anyway. Loved the little path we found to get to the site and sticky beaking into the houses of those who live how we can only dream of.
Had no luck feeling for it, but the cache shows up well in torch light .
Log sheets are saturated and can't be separated.
Cheers - M@

Had a good look around the area in the wet weather. Couldnt find it - searched everywhere. Will try again next visit - might be a while. Lots of work being carried out in the area.
Quick find on another set of bad batteries in the GPS. What a neat way they have made that road to get to the work site.
Never been here before.

3rd one today done with PhilipA who I met by chance earlier on. Waited for heavy rain to ease before venturing down the steps for the find. A lot of engineering to see, but the light was fading at the end of a soggy afternoon, didn't hang around. Cheers!
Holy Crap!
This definitely is not a 1.5!!! Too many steps for this big guy to walk up and down! Found with KiwiGary this evening after we looked and looked in all the wrong places!
Thanks for the cache in New Zealand!

21:03 This one took us a while to locate, came here with Team Pez from the states.
We looked in quite a few places until we looked somewhere else and finally found the cache. Corey suffered a bit of the climb back up the hill. Quite an experience in the dark I can must say.
Nice spot must be much nicer in the daylight, thanks for the cache Glyn...Thanks to Team Pez for coming out tonight and finding a few urban caches with me. Great to meet up with you Corey.

Dropped by to sign the log as I didn't have a pen a couple of weeks ago when I found it. The cache is still there, and is accessible despite the construction activity.
It's still there alright.
There's only one real spot that fits the clue, so we searched it thoroughly and there it was. TFTC.

DNF on this one unfortunately. Met 'tofska' at the site and it looks like the cache is unavailable for a while if it exists at all. Lots of work going on.
Joined Sunshine Toledo from Brisban for the hunt. Construction happening on both sides of the pipe, so not many places to check as most of it is fenced off. Couldn't find it at the most obvious place though.
Cheers glyn - M@

Some new and serious (barbed wire etc) fencing is now in place, but the cache is outside this fortunately (the new position I presume). Found OK as there are not too many accessible spots left! No pen with me on my morning run, so unable to sign log.
(PS I think that the old clue was more useful)

Had to reach for this one, was on the good side of the tunnel, probally thanks to previous visitor. Found after event on the way to the botanical gardens
Interesting area, for sure, busy at there work today.
Thanks Glyn

Hmmm - it seems Chris must have come across a different worker than us. The one that spotted us hunting told us to @#$^% off as we were in construction zone and it was dangerous.
We complied with his request and left the area but I have to disagree with the workers assessment of the situation. You can get to GZ from the beach without crossing a barrier and it does not appear to be in a "dangerous" location at all.

thanks to Chris, its up & go again, cache moved slightly to a more accessable place. Co-ords the same.
Didnt noted that Glyn has disabled this till just now when I logged it.
Auto routing got us to the right area but a bit tricky to find the entrance.
Nice walk down past the fencing and then spot the orange plastic security fence. There were chaps workintg near GZ as well.
I took a bold step and started looking.
One of the workers saw me and actually helped me.
The cache was in a tricky location so we have left it a bit =easier to find. The clue still fits. By thew way the worker suggested the placement and didnt appear to mind it being there, after I explained some more what it was about.
1 of 18 for the day.
Interesting

Interesting
told today the whole area at GZ has been sectioned off, so I will have to look for another hide!
All this is seriously interesting stuff. Had to climb over the orange temporary fence though. Got muggled but it was easy to be interested in the construction site!! TFTC
Bit of a struggle this one. Not with the cache, but getting to it. The area is fenced off, and a hole has been dug under it. The only option was to clamber over the construction fence. Of course I got muggled in the process However they couldn't work out what I was doing, so they just hung around watching me for eternity.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
This one required a clamber over a barrier today, so Butterfly just asked Mr Butterfly to fetch
Good to see future proofing happening.

#888. Quick find. Pity can't see in as Glyn had explained the shaft is nearly 40 meters deep! TFTC.
Used to play here as a kid so know the area well. Entered from Tohunga Crescent and the Freda Kirkwood Walkway. Felt it appropriate to mention this as she is my Grandmother and she turns 100 this year on the 8th of the 8th, 2008 which also coincides with the opening of the Chinese Olympics.

So you spend Saturday doing the GSAK chores and ticking off the 5 nearest caches only to find on Sunday morning that 2 more have popped up, even nearer than the last 5! What's a beautiful Sunday morning for if not to do more chores. Tick! My first FTF too. Hurrah! (Haven't been to this spot since the days mentioned at my cache Wastewater Walkabout http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=f97868d1-162e-4d20-8a03-e54f7ac7f7a3 )
Busy cache today! We were 4th to find at 1.30pm.
Very interesting project. We shall watch its progress with interest.
