After not quite getting things right on our first visit - happy to say we have now got the right information. A wonderful place to visit again. TFTEC
Busy going through my GSAK database and updating caches I haven't sent a log for. Have been using GSAK to keep tabs on my finds. Thanks to the cache owners for the caches. Working my way through those caches that require emails with answers.
Logging with permission after going for a wander while Dr Htrut did the paid tourist thing at the Henge. I had been before so was much more keen to grab some caches on the lovely but windy afternoon instead
Headed to GZ and took some rough guesses to the stone size which proved to be not far wrong! (Not bad for someone brought up on metric ) Next it was down the Avenue until the Henge disappeared past many confused sheep. Averaged out the co-ords when at the appropriate spot then headed off.
Today I researched up and was able to submit a log to the owner. Thanks for the fast reply!
Cheers from Australia. A well done Earth Cache at a world famous spot

Nice pleasent walk down the avenue to the necessary spot with much looking over the shoulder to make sure it was right.Really nice to find such a solitary place in an area so crowded with visitors.T4TC email sent.
Had a family trip and came via Avebury and Stonehenge... had to get a few caches on the way! This one was a pleasure to do too. Weather was not great, I was surprised at how small the visitor centre was (after all the controversy, I was expecting something bigger and better). Here is a picture of the site. TFTC (E-mail sent some time ago).
We really enjoyed completing this earthcache, especially the walk along the avenue away from the madding crowds round the henge. The way the henge appears to rise from the earth as you ascend the avenue towards it is inspiring. TFTC
This was an intriguing cache. Although we have been to Stonehenge before and knew about The Avenue, we had never walked down it.
It was an interesting experience walking down the avenue by ourselves, no one else around, and up at the stones there were hundreds of people walking round the circle. It felt like we were on a different planet!

Completed this cache on a very cold and wet February morning! I was glad the road was closed as I didn't get splashed by passing cars on my way to GZ. After obtaining the relevant information and taking a few pics I made a slow jog back to the car to warm up and dry off. TFTC!
Spent the morning walking amongst and round the stones today thanks for the fun.
Just a TB drop for a Canadians coin. Sun of Stonehenge that wanted to visit, and this cache represents what stonehenge is all about.
The sun came out as Terry and I arrived and it looked wonderful if the slight winters mist.
Thanks for a great cache at a historical site. Email sent

#5174 16:17 Had come down to visit Imber Village (as it was open over Xmas). As we had to pass Stonehenge anyway, it seemed like too good an opportunity not to stop. Learnt a bit doing this Earthcache. TFTC
A most excellent cache this was fun as it was very busy round here today they even had oped the stones for some druids to do their stuff. A joint find with Sandvika. Sandvika has the pics on his camera. TFTC
I have sent an email to Tim, and hope the answers are right!
Stopped here on the way back from Clacton-on-sea as I spotted the earthcache.
One of my Favorite places in England and my favorite type of cache, just had to be done!
Although the footware wasn't ideal for hiking across a field with snow on!
Knew which stone I had to deal with then went for the walk across the field, even on a day like this there were still 1/2 a dozen buses and loads of muggles!
Thanks for this one.
Wadders
