Looked around for a while and couldn't find it, pretty sure it's not here. Can you please check and advise as to the cache's status.
I note that this cache has now been temp disabled, but thought i would log as a DNF anyway to show i had actually tried.
Smurfyguy & I spent some 30minutes searching but came up empty handed. We noticed the cache was last found in January this year. Either we didn't look in the right place or the cache has been muggled. Could the CO please confirm its existence or otherwise. "We will return".
I would have liked more time to search for this but I am late and wet so perhaps another time
This is a really nice place to check out - thanks for bringing me here. A nice tricky find, but cache was in hand after a minute or so of looking. TFTC!
We all enjoyed the tranquil walk through the native vegetation to GZ. Thank goodness for young legs and a quick find from our first geoson. It was a good hide.
Dropped off a small bouncy basketball.

Fun find. It was great to see an area of sydney so well preserved- even having an educational centre about the park. Cache was easy to find but slightly hard to reach. Was first cache for the day. Left a googly eyed bug sticker. TFTC
On a mission to hit exactly 200 caches by the New Year. Knocked off 9 today, this was the 1st. I actually nearly kicked it accidently before seeing it but after log duties were done and it was replaced I appreciated the vista from below Liked it a lot!

Geomum and I came in from the wrong side of the park and I ended up on top of the cliff, we made our way down to the bottom and then geomum spotted it and I did the climbing.
I enjoyed this cache, so thank you

Memories Memories... i remember when i came here in year 1 for an excursion. The track taken was exactly the same we walked on today.

A nice walk, the visitors centre was staffed with "helpful" muggle volunteers. We soon ventured further into the forest, the GZ was identified and Wal did the climbing to retrive. SL TNLN TFTH
206 - Really enjoyed the walk through this area... 'BGowza' spent a while turtle spotting then it was back to business. The cache was sticking out a bit so was spotted fairly easily... Loved the red planet touch haha. TFTC
Great cache. The GPS was only good to within 20m or so. I eventually found it after taking a few bearings from the adjacent park.
Cache is leaking and half full of water...
Cache is leaking and half full of water...
Found after quite a hunt. Easy though if you look astrally rather than terrestrially. Obvious really! Nice hide and the logbook was pretty dry. However, the bottom track via the boardwalk is closed for maintenance so you'll need to take the long way to GZ. It reopens in October 2009. Nice hide and TFTC.
Went to find this today. Took the dog. Dogs not allowed. Suggest the "No Dogs" attribute should be set. Will return later, one day when the dog wants a lie in...
This was one very wet place today. The overnight rain and the downpour as I exited the car had this place awash, but that didnt detract from the schoolies visiting the center and me finding the cache.
Thanks
Thanks
This one had us stumped initially, especially with 3 GPS pointing in slightly different directions. But once we stood back and looked around, there it was. Great spot!

Hooray, third time lucky I was determined to find this cache after two unsuccessful tries. I think previously I must have gone looking at a time when Mars was in eclipse. Wrong time of the year with the planet too deep in space for me to see without the help of a telescope!
But this time the heavens were obviously correctly aligned and I didn;' have too much trouble spotting the red planet. It did take me about half an hour to retrieve it but the effort was well worth while.
I had a Martian dinosaur egg that I had planned to leave in the Red Planet several months ago and it was getting periliously close to hatching so I was very relieved to be able to put it in a safe spot. Imagine if I had not been able to find this yet again and the dinosaur had hatched in the car on the way home
Thanks Mallycat for the encouragement along the way and a fun cache

Strike-a-light and I searched high and low for the red planet but had no luck at all. We finally convinced ourselves it must be gone as there were lots of likely spots and none of them contained any trace of the elusive cache. But we'll be back for another go, maybe a careful study of previous logs will give us enough info for some successful stargazing next time.
Awfully hot and humid in here today. Saw a couple of ducks in the water and thought seriously about joining them. Cache was a reasonalby easy find. I should say that I'm glad there were two of us to find it, even if it is visible from the track. TN/LN/SL.
Found on the great Top Gear tour with Geo-uncle Lat & Long Junkie. If only the red planet was like this, but then we couldn't call it he red planet. TFTC
Great planet for a cache, cache quite full hence took TB "Tonka" so I could close the lid without risking the seal of the container. TFTC
great cache walked past it a million times but finally found tookus a few minutes to see a container and even saw the planet itself

I was looking for the Mars Rover but couldn't find it. Nice spot and a quick find. TFTC
Treked in with all the Farmers and took a few minutes to nab the clever hide.Even spotted the "Red Planet " rocks! Put in "surfs up" trackable and took geocoin. Thanks to Mallycat for the adventure.
#3 for today's intro assault.
Climbed, crawled and clambered over and under, down and around. Then I uttered the magic words, "I think this one has beaten us" - and it magically appeared!
Took ring and Lizard.
Left Action man and hair tie.
Took the Wild horse TB too.

Mars is closer than you think, we have even touched it. While filling out the log Altaire dropped in. But unlike the last time we met them, feretting for A Sirius Cache, this one was a success. The lizard guarding the cache appears to be friendly.
We like finding caches where all the hard work is done by someone else. Like this one where upon arrival we found that Team Lego Men had already thoughtfully located the cache. Thanks guys!! A nice spot of urban bush this - an oasis of peace away from the surrounding suburbs. No swaps however dropped off the Wild Horses TB.
Space is a long way up. It always makes me feel so small. But, if you reach for the stars, you can find this nice cache.

Was caching with dielaughing. I have been to this cache before. It is a good one. I took gettin sexy TB and will drop it down wollongong way in a few days. I thought it would help this TB get a bit of a work out.
14:10 Enjoyed walking the bridge and old tracks. Skyejam helped me climb to the cache. shame the log book still too wet to sign but lucky I got special pen which can write on wet paper. It need to take out and dry for the day. [its very soaked] anyway thanks for the organised the hunt. Dropped TB Faber Optimé - Gettin Sexy! Took TB River Card.
We made our way down the perilous slope and crossed the quagmire where shoes stuck deep in its clutches, marking the passing of other less fortunate travellers.
The sound of a Martin frog’s croak echoed up the valley but still managed to elude our gaze we then pushed on past the lilies and other exotic plants until reaching our goal.
Of course once reaching the location the rock seemed more tempting than the cache and soon reached the top, then found you could jump to the bottom by bouncing off a small ledge. Then I realised I better save my energy for the marathon and got onto the cache business and by the time my brain got into gear the other half had already finished filling out the SOAKED logbook.

A nice walk in this afternoon watching rabbits and ducks do their thing and people picnicing near the foot bridge.
The area near GZ was a bit tricky satelite-wise but I knew it had to be there somewhere. Suddenly I spied the Red Planet and made a beeline for it.
I retrieved the Geo Coin Lord of the Caches and left TB River Card.
Log book too wet to sign.
Remove soaked lizard and left it by the cache to dry out.

A delayed log as I had to get home. Looked for some time before I found this one as I was checking out something else! A good hide. However the cache had water in it so what the others said about the log book - it was soaked.
A nice walk across the damp ground from recent rain then up a gentle rise through the bush. What a great start to the day! Left Geocoin.
Very nice container - stylish!

[with satanas666 for this one, as we had spent the day Rydeing up and down the Ryde hills. I was sure the GPSr was close to the mark and lo, Mars was soon in our hands after a little bit of rock scrambling. TNLNSL, TFTC]
Great hiding place! Picked up the cache on a trip of 4 for the afternoon. Had a walk around the loop track as well. Nice pocket of bushland.

Near my old home. Enjoyed walking the old tracks again, had not found this one previously. Cache a bit wet so dried it out.
Past 130pm and the kids are getting hungry. "One more cache!" I pleaded; they agreed, and into the bush we wandered. Jono made the find and then off to lunch.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache!
best wishes,

Very pleasant park for a morning stroll. Found fairly quickly, not where I was expecting. Left a Canadian Micro Coin. Thanks Mallycat
Cool spot. Went in the rain, but would not like to be there when the path is covered!! Cool hide and nearly missed it, but rallied. TFTC. TM left ring.
We parked at the Red Planet parking spot, walked across the bridge and soon found ourselves at the designated viewing area.
We were sceptical about being able to actually see the Red Planet in daylight, but focussed our attention towards the correct area (giving due regard to lat/long, time of day and date) and incredible as it may seem, the Red Planet suddenly appeared in full view. We were awestruck by it's beauty and we also appreciated seeing the galaxy of nearby stars as the Red Planet was drawn ever so slowly closer to us. Actually holding a planet in our hands was incredable.
Thanks Mallycat for this 5-star cache. We really enjoyed the walk, the environment, the hunt and the most unusual container. This one is definately on our "caches to remember" list!

What a nice short walk!
Really one of the most recommendable short drive in bush walking caches... if that category exists.
Extend it along the unavailable cache nearby and it gets a little bit longer...

Out: TB and key holder

Nice cache. Quick find if your eye catches some of the red colouration on the adjoining rock faces!
I found entry via Kennedy Street worked best for me.
Try taking the upper path on the way out from GZ.

Called to check all was ok after the rain. Yep, all is ok. Also dropped off 2 travel bugs
This is a great cache hide. Found the relevant access easily. The creek is very swollen and I would not recommend the low road in times of heavy rain. OK today but there had recently been a flash flood.
Some great nooks to search, GPS reception was poor and led me on a merry chase through the bush. Walking along the track I spied a most unusual object. A very wet stuffed gecko, in the middle of the track. Wow, what a clue, I must be close. Looking up, there it stared out at me. Interesting retrieval necessary. I love it. But oh no, it's hidey hole is full of water.
I took the geocoin and left the Firebeater TB. I also put the gecko back in the hole as well next to the cache. I'm not sure if it was in the cache or the last night cachers had dropped it from their bags.
Great first hide. Keep them coming.

Our first stop on a night of caching on the North Shore, well, thats where we are heading, if the rain holds out.
How did we miss that bridge the first time? Hmmm.
Nice walks here, even in the dark, creek was quite swollen by the looks too.
Left a coin.

After spending 20 minutes not knowing where to cross the swollen creek, we headed in the right direction and found Mars blazing away.
My first night caching experience and I couldn't have a better group of cachers to learn from . Team Webguy, Spindoc Bob and ruffasgutts4x4. It was wet, dark and a little smelly and then there was the cache. Very enjoyable cache once the right track was found.

Easy path in, not so easy to get to cache. Must say, i thought it was a "dead soldier" at first. took lighthouse TB but not sure how many lighthouses I'll be visiting in next few weeks.
Great hide - had to use some female logic to pick it up ... Dropped TB Swiss lighthouse and took the geocoin and a car.
I saw this one come up the other night and thought to myself hmmm should be able to have a crack at that one early in the morning before anyone else gets there.
I didn't count on the persistance of the Wandering Wilko's so when I checked it again the next morning before heading out I was rather surprised to see an FTF. Oh well there'll be others! The walk in was a little wet for me to spite missing the rain everything was well soaked but it added a fresh touch to this terrific walk, I made my way along the platform that runs parallel to the creek and was at GZ before long, I started out at the base of the red planet before deciding to get a better view from up top. After taking in the view from above I made my way back down & eventually found what I was looking for. The containers well done and was not quite where I expected it to be but is in a good spot never the less Thanks for bringing me here nice hide. Left a coin to start on it's journey around Australia and took the 2 euro coin left 2 AA batteries in it's place. Thanks again

I saw this one come up on the radar and had to duck and out have a go. I got to GZ just as it was getting dark, and put on the headlamp. 5 minutes of searching and out of the corner of my eye I spotted something. A quick clamber and I had the Cache in my hands. Great container, great hide and as the co-ordinates are spot on, not a difficult find. You've chosen a brilliant spot for a Cache and I know that this one is going to be very popular. I can recomend doing this at night as it allows the Cache to really live up to its name. Well done Mallycat on your first Cache, I look forward to many more.
