Last day in Darwin on a family holiday before I head back to Queensland. Took Mum out (an avid walker) to lee point for some early morning finds along the trails in the area. Beautiful spot and I hope the development doesn't encroach any further.

Forgot my pen today so took some photos instead. TFTC.

Today we walked and walked in Casuarina Coastal Reserve along the many trails, finding Darwin's first 'power' trial and completing it along with some other caches in the reserve. Some caches were easier to find than others, some were in prickly bush areas, others searching amongst the debris. TFTC

22-Jun-23
We decided to go for a bike ride along this coastal track to the dripstone cliffs. Was quite a nice ride with no to many people on the track.
This was our first find of the day
Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches

I’m visiting family for a week with time for geocaching as well. An enjoyable walk to find some caches in this area. Easy find as I saw it from the main track but had to go through a few spiky vines to get to it. Tftc

We parked our car today at the electrical substation as it seemed like the safest place before embarking on the power trail. OCW irondale. We found them all except number one.

We walked the extra distance to pick up this one before returning to the car and were glad we did. A great cache type and a cool location TFTC- have a FP!

Fascinating history at GZ, and we spent quite some time having a look around here. Also good to read the information.
Then it was time to go looking at GZ, with a large container which has stood the test of time.
Log signed.

On a trip around Australia with the family, out finding some caches this morning in this beautiful area. Quick find here, tftc!

29-May-22
Way to overgrown. Snakes DNF

26-May-22
Found at 9:18:00 AM(t) GAFF1.
Gosh the area has really changed since those photos in 2008! It is now a jungle! I was lucky to find the cache in these much more difficult conditions.
Thanks NTSTROM.

Pretty overgrown. Pack mozzie spray

28-Nov-21
Muggle65 and l blindly followed our arrows to GZ to find nothing matching the hint. You don't need to go into the prickly crapville at all. Coords are 15m out and cache is sitting almost out in the open.

28-Nov-21
Sweating away like a Queenslander on holidays & I ventured into the nasty GZ with no luck at all it wasn’t until we were both scratched & eaten alive by mossies that spied the cache. Signing it & cursing about how we should always keep our eyes open approaching a GZ. Happy that we found it

10-Oct-21
GPS signal is just leading me around in circles. "Behind a tree" is not a very useful hint in this terrain. Loads of thorns, vines and green ants. Moving on, try again another day on this one.

Like previous geocachers, the bush proved too unpleasant in the end. Spent a long time looking with no success.

We traveled through Northern Territory for four weeks. We started the journey in Alice Springs and drove to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and then to Kings Canyon, MacDonnell Ranges, back to Alice Springs, to Devils Marbels, Katherine, Katherine Gorge, Kakadu NP, Litchfield NP and then further on to Darwin. On the way we found some caches. This was one of them. TFTC!
Abends unternahmen wir noch einen kleinen Spaziergang und kamen an dieser Dose vorbei.

Wow...
Found but not logged...
I had a million green ants on me and I sprinted back to the path through wait-a-while and stripped down to be rid of the buggers.
Photo is all I’m doing...

A few days in Darwin to get used to walking in the heat before hitting up the Kimberleys. Headed out to Lee Point in the late afternoon with an on-shore breeze, perhaps that was cheating. Anyway - enjoyed all the caches along here. I have been highly interested in all the WWII relics in Darwin. Whilst I knew about it, visiting various spots has helped me realise the vastness of it.

This is a cache with a beautiful description and a lot of work put into it. In fact, I have to check if I've heard that song before.

I've taken on the track this morning with a bottle of water and some mossie spray in my backpack as instructed. All the boxes I found were in reasonably good condition. Some were a bit wet.

A couple of bikers and a lady with 2 friendly dogs was all I encountered along with plenty of birds and insects. Thanks for this trail!

We're continuing our wanderings across northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. Today I had Pa drop me at the end of the CCRB PT as I wanted to walk it and he had other obligations to attend to.

It was a fabulous walk, meandering through the bush on a warm but not hot day, a slight breeze helping to keep the temperature down and the mossies at bay unless I stopped too long at any GZ. The bird life was great and many was the time I wished that I had carried my binoculars, though I hate to think how long it would have taken me to complete the trail if I had. Loved the finches, honeyeaters, black cockatoos and doves. A magical place.

The search for each cache was varied - some very quick, others far too long, some really frustrating while others were absolutely delightful.

To all COs involved in my adventure today, a big shout out for placing the caches. I enjoyed the variety and the effort that went into them. A couple in particular are memorable and I will award them FPs.

All the caches were found and my name added to each log either as SG, stamped or signed as usual.

Now visiting Darwin after the Red Centre Experience. Razz

The plan today was to head out for a full day of caching by Mr Felix on his Geo Bike.

Was a tough day with humidiity, heat and green ants, but he managed to find your cache today.

25/02/2017 11:18:00 AM - Today my caching mission is a visit to Darwin from Melbourne. I wasn't prepared for the humidity which made it a challenge but I enjoyed it all as I explored and managed to find this cache and at the same time discovered a historic location. I lie this sort of thing and I like the cache container. I grabbed the travel bug to continue it's adventures. Have a favourite point too.

Thanks NTSTROM Smile Cache is good condition.

I set out early this morning and caught the buses to the Hospital thinking I would get a couple of the caches at the beginning of this trail but as I went along I got more and more involved and was enjoying myself so much I went all the way to the end grabbing as many caches as I could along the way The path was quite walkable with only a few places where I had to gingerly use stepping stones to get across the little fords I enjoyed all the caches on the trail and can tell the CO's that I found them all to be in good condition Please keep up the good work, you guy's are what caching is all about Thanks for all the caches Chingola from Guernsey

Now that's a bunker! We have one similar way down south of Hobart that also hides a cache nearby. The "wait a while" did indeed cause us to wait a while as we unpicked ourselves. Both ways!

23-Jul-16
We had found a cache a couple of hundred metres up the track and thought ''while we are in the area we might as well grab this one too!''

Cache was a nice quick find which is always welcome on a hot Darwin day!

Thank you for bringing us to this historic location.

Took 1 x TB.

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to NTSTROM** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.

I enjoyed finding this one at 4:20:26 PM after arriving from a flight to Darwin. Dropped TB.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot* Cool

Found it!! Out and about with the GF "Kym's Adventure" on a Sunday cache run to see how many caches we could fit in one day. This was number 9 of 23. I like seeing all the old war structures around Darwin, I try to imagine what it would have been like back in the days of the war here!! Kym had the honours of retrieving this one Smile TFTC
