Couldnt find this one today, will come back to make this into a smiley another day
There was no problem in finding this cache together with goingplaces2. All was good and the log was soon signed. It was then replaced as found. TFTC.
We had an interesting and varied day today with ilook4geo, as it included some caching as well as visiting family. All the caches found were in good order with room the log for more names. This cache was found quickly with no muggles being around. Thanks for this cache placement go to Konie.
Out for my daily drive and cache fix while in Brisbane spending time with my aged mother. Today's geo-excursion is taking me to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, mostly doing adventure labs.A straightforward find here while doing the Mapleton AL. Thanks for this "bonus" cache.
Having never cached before in Mapleton I was pretty excited to explore places I'm taken to caching, and this was the first one I found in town after getting off the bus down the road.Found pretty quickly once I'd realised which hint item to pay attention to.Then later I came back here with the adventure lab! Not a very big town. Thanks konie for hiding a cache here so many years ago and for maintaining it since!
Elina_maree and I drove up to Mapleton today to drop off our big boys who wanted to walk/camp along the Sunshine Coast Great Walk. We then took our younger kids with us to do some caching in the local area.We took a little walk around town to grab the AdLabs, Wherigo and Trad. Great team effort on this one. As we arrived I pointed to the GZ, Elina_maree suggested a possible hide location, I checked it out and found the nicely hidden cache. Thanks for the cache Konie!
Definitely needed to make use of the hint. Thanks for hide. Lovely little park that I imagine would have been a lot more popular way back when before the busy road. And maybe the trees blocked less view then.Cache and log is in excellent condition
Stopped for a coffee while on holiday trip and decided to check the geocaches, found we parked right next to this one. TFTC
In Mapleton cat sitting, out and about this morning chasing a few smilies to finish off 2023Attempted this one a couple of days ago, but flying blind without my GPS. Easy find today, even looking and found in a spot I had already looked. Thanks for the hide Konie and Merry Christmas
While visiting the park here for an AdLab waypoint I also found this traditional.A nice spot and a good view. I had the little park to myself so with no one watching it was an easy find.TFTC
Found after a bit of a search. We even met some other caches! Enjoy the travels!
We came to Mapleton to have some lunch on a trip from Maroochydore, we had a walk around this lovely town and caught two light Caches.
Nice hides. TFTC
Nice hides. TFTC
Found after a very quick search. Made the mistake of sitting on the stone wall to sign the log and became a target for angry ants… my wife laughed at my dance to rid myself of the swarm attacking any exposed skin. Sat on the proper seats in the end and enjoyed the view while signing. TFTC
What a great little park to hide a cache in. Hubby and I visited the Art Union display home in Montville today. Hope we bought the winning ticket. Tftc as
For the second week in a row I jumped in the Geo van and headed north for a few days of caching. I spent Friday night staying near the glass house mountains and worked my way north parking at Mapleton for a few reds and lovely steak at the public house, before kicking off the day with a few traditionals
After making my way to ground zero I quickly spied the hide, which I soon extracted and made my mark on the log. The cache was quickly replaced into its hides hole and I was soon on my way.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Out night caching with the Bug, we were super close to this one so of course it would be rude not to find it. Embarrassing it took these two old dogs way too long to find this one.
Cheers Konie

I decided to go for a quick afternoon blast up to Coolabine and sort out the geocaches there. As always, it was an enjoyable drive through the Hinterland, then up the back towards and past Kenilworth. And with that done, I could point the mighty Alto roughly towards home and not at all rush. I noticed though, this oldie along my route.
The joy of older geocaches is they had a bit of pick of the plum locations. And all these years on, the cruddy hides have long since left us. It's a self-filtering process. And so I was keen to make the very small detour. I pulled up on the topside and noticed the stairs.
Down the stairs and yep, there's a sneaky little hidden park in here. Traffic blasting up the hill right by it. And still maintained, by the looks of it. It did not take me long to find the geocache and sat down to do the usual duties at 15:30.
As I sat there I pondered the old-style picnic table. I wonder how long since it's had an actual picnic on it. This does give me an idea to add to my "Ideas That Will Never Happen" list. Oddly enough, sometimes those ides do happen. We'll see. Ramble complete, old geocache found, little park appreciated! Thanks for this smiley, Konie

Thank you Konie for placing and maintaining this cache for me to enjoy!

A regretful DNF today (my first so far today). I looked in and around the hint location (not that one, the other one) and poked in holes dug under bushes, looked through branches. Couldn’t find the described container. At least I got the AL coords here . Might still be here and I’m having temporary cache-blindness. Methinks it’s time to head to the pub on the corner to replenish my geo-senses
Konie I found your cache Sitting with The Pioneers on 26/7/2022, 12:00 pm. This is my find 3850 and find # 5 today. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
We sat with The Pioneers for a while admiring the lovely sea views. Also grabbed the adventure.lab stage while we were here. TFTC
After I searched one sign unsuccessfully, I turned around and saw another and then made the find. The log was wet. I signed GW. TFTC Konie.
TFTC. We decided to make a day of it on a trip to Mapleton with a specific cache in mind to qualify for a local challenge. Liz and Bruce decided to accompany us so a great day was in store. We had a couple of dnfs but found 13 caches in and around Mapleton. A quick find here as we completed a stage of the local adventure lab.
Out and about with the lityle mr trouble when we noticed there was a tradditiknal here. After a few seconds of searching little mr t came up with the goods
Second find for today, and it was another easy and systematic find at GZ. Interesting read on the plaque at GZ, thanks Konie!
Quick find when to every sign until we release it was the sign right next to us TFTC
Signed log..must be nuts, its pouring down with rain.. thinking of calling it a day and head back to the van at Maleny..

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed north to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to visit a few of the scenic mountain villages of Montville and Mapleton in the Blackall Ranges. We started the day with a visit to Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve and completing that virtual cache, and then stopped at a few lookouts on our way to Montville. We then had a nice walk around Montville completing the the *Montville Meandering* Adventure Lab and stopped for lunch. We then closed out the day by completing the *A Lap Around The Circuit...(at least)* in Mapleton, and returned home.
A nice oldie 04/2008 hidden cache and one of Queensland's 1000 oldest and active geocaches. We called past this location whilst completing Mapleton's Adventure Lab. After searching around, we found the sneaky little micro-sized cache, and its 1.5 difficulty rating could certainly be increased. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Konie for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Checked all corners and all rocks but couldn't find the cache good excuse to visit the area again tho.
A brief visit of the pioneers as we were walking around town. A nice, fresh container, log and bag. Thanks for introducing us to the Smith's!
Catching up on late logs.
We were up here to attend the Daybro Mega event but the weather was not very kind to us so we decided to concentrate on Adventure Labs and any thing else that was near by.
At least with the lousy weather we had most places to ourselves.
We entered this great looking park and stayed on the footpaths as every thing else was saturated. We had a brief search in the wrong area before Diane turned up the cache and we happily added our name to the log. We commented how we had not seen the CO for quite awhile not knowing we would catch up in a few days at an event.
The lid of the container was broken and the log slightly wet but still quite usable.
Many thanks Konie for the hide and the history.

Day 3 Beerwah. Caching with the Snakepitters.
Had a full day planned, including several AL, but the day didn't go quite as planned as the AL app. seemed to have taken time which left us quite frustrated.
Our day took us through some wonderful countryside & up to some loations with magical views over the Sunshine Coast, a ownderful scenic loop.
A good hint made for a quick find.
Thankyou Konie for placing this cache.

Our final day in Beerwah, today was to venture out and do the Venture labs and pick up a few other caches for the day, however it was not to be with the geocaching update affecting the the venture lad when we were halfway through our second, put a stop to that. We still managed to grab a few. Off to Kilcoy tomorrow, a day of rest, washing and then off to Somerset dam.

We've stopped off in Kenilworth, and plan to base ourselves here for a few days before heading to the Dayboro Mega Event.
Today we headed off to Mapleton to do an Adventure Lab as well as logging a few Traditional caches on our journey.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container is missing its lid. The log is just a lot of tattered paper.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Heading home today after a lovely weekend in Mapleton. Just finished breakfast at a nearby Cafe and decided to nab this one before heading off. TNLN SL TFTC
I'm a fan of older caches so naturally, with a trip to Mapleton on the cards, I was going to nab this one while I was here. Coords are spot on and the cache and log are in great condition. Good to see it still alive! As always, the older caches had prime pick of the awesome locations in SEQ and this was no different.
Thanks for taking me here Konie, and for keeping this oldie alive.
TB visits while I'm here.
Now for a cold double sars and a sausage roll at the local cheese factory. Mmmmmm bliss. Perfect day.

My wife and I were enjoying a late afternoon in Mapleton. We had risked everything hoping that the traffic back home to Redcliffe was moving well and Google Maps said as much. The problem was that Google was lying or at least telling little white fibs.
We found the cache before the AL brought us back here but it wasn’t far to walk. Everything is close in Mapleton unless you count a local invading your personal space to tell you why your blasphemy will send you straight to hell. Anyway we learnt that hell is on the Sunshine Coast. If only he knew we weren’t locals than he might have smiled as he sent us to the demonic depths.
You would have thought that in a quiet country town we would not have been accosted by such a specimen. However after lecturing us we did notice he walked straight across the road into the pub. Clearly hell still has XXXX Gold on tap. tftc

Have to get the daughters Laptop in for a service before returning to school.
Drive to Chermside and brave the traffic or drive to Maleny and do the same....
No brainer, Maleny here we come. And a quick stop to collect a cache or two on the way.
Cache 2 for the day was here. Log is wet, but still able to sign. Now has our team name on it too. Thanks for the Cache!

After a great weekend event it was time to head back home, I had a plan to grab a couple of caches along the way home and I offered the invitation to 4hawkers.
We arrived at Mapleton with the plan to do the Adventure lab in this area. While we were on the lab quest we saw this one nearby. An easy find as it was right next to where we were standing, convenient.
With the log signed and cache replaced it was onto the next on the list. Thank you for placing this one here, gets a favourite point from me, all good with this cache.

Wednesday. Up in the cooler parts of the world today on what is going to be a record breaking heat wave, we were collecting a new AL and it mentioned that there was a cache here. Couldn’t let that pass up, so after a cranky lady - who gave me the death stare - walked past and out of sight, I check for the cache and second spot was a winner. Happy to pop our names in the log.
This was the 3rd of 6 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Konie*** for showing us this place

Made us Dirty. We needed to borrow a pen from the pizza place. Not very descriptive.
Out with Simber15 and Willis007 taking in the scenery and enjoying a bit of caching around Mapleton and Nambour for the day.
We were doing the AL series in the area and it brought us to this tiny little park. Simber15 found the cache quickly, we all signed it and continued with the AL series.
Thank you for placing the cache here.
