Quick stopover after our day at Tawhitokino Bay. No problem with the puzzle. But a new geocaching lesson learned: never go barefoot for the final.

Happy new year!

There were a couple of muggles about, but they had all woken up with hangovers and were curing them by drinking some more, so they paid us no attention. TFTC

Found in conjunction with CDM261. TN but left signature eraser. TFTC.

Thank you for a history lesson. I wonder what the early settlers would have made of us being able to just jump in a car and be in Auckland in a fraction of the time taken for a boat trip.

The finder before me was a dog walker, with the cache left fairly exposed, so I re-hid it a bit better.

Very enjoyable diversion on our way to Thames. t4tc

Great day to be out and about caching. Interesting spot learning all the local history. Easy find after we completed the calculations but appears a muggle may have found the cache as they added a log "found by mistake - Merry Christmas". Log nice an dry T4TC.

Great spot. Watched the locals walking dogs and picking up rubbish for a while and then sneaked in for the find while they were on the other side of the river. Thanks.

Hard to imagine boats of any size navigating such narrow waterways. Very interesting history. We found the cache, our 7th find after a very early start, then had a picnic breakfast by the river. A lovely spot. Thanks for the reason to stop and learn about this area.

Interesting history for this spot - who'd have guessed?
Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

13-Apr-09
A very sobering start to our caching day.... had to pull over to allow a police car, complete with flashing lights pass.... got close to this bridge to discover the reason why. Do we stop? Motorcyclist on ground, bike on ground, big crowd. Was waved on by police, but found a gap further up the road, parked and walked back down to the river, away from the crowd scene. Was obviously sufficient helpers on hand. Memories to XC and TK recent separate mis-adventures come to mind.

The cache info was well away from the crowd, so we decided to go for it. Watched the ambulance arrive, and waited till it departed, then went for the final cache. Thanks.
A memorable cache in more ways than one.

28-May-08
Woke up to clear skies and the best weather for days, decided today would be an ideal opportunity to catch up on some local caches we have been unable to visit the past months.

Took Kathy out for a 'mystery' trip to Clevedon Only revealing the surprise motive on arrival [:o)]

Perfect location on a near perfect day to hunt out a TT cache I could be assured would be worth our time there Smile

Leaving Kathy to solve the puzzles whilst I took in the views and the rare glimpse of sun lately, finishing off the last clues together we were soon at ground zero. GPS has been 10m out all day so Kathy grabbed the cache from the clue only calling me over to remove bugs from cache! Razz

This spot is ideal for a picnic, close to Clevedon shops and cafe.
