###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I've noticed this cache is carrying a maintenance log which really does need to be addressed by the cache owner.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Well , this may be the remains of the container: a tin lid approx 7.5*7.5cm, very much rusted. Signed a stick and placed in rocks near GZ. TFT views
Been 11 months since this was last found. Really wanted to log it as found. Good hour or so of constant persistence and bouncing gps, closet getting within 3 metres. I'm logging as 'DNF.
Would advise for next hunters to use precaution coming into summer months.
Favourite just for the hunt factor and views.

Wilsons Prom Hike: Day two - Sealers Cove to Little Waterloo
We dropped our packs at the intersection and I ran up to the top wanting to find this cache. Searched about 5 close-by xanthorrhoea for about half an hour with no GPS or phone to help me in my search

Find # 565
After hearing stories of the resident thieving crow the call was made to carry our 15kg pacjs up with us.
After a rest, some snacks and a decent drink I extended search area to where I suspect a cache may hide and a few minutes later a cache revealed itself.
GPS had me about 5m away from actual GZ.
Signed log, visited some TBs and our 24km day hike from Sealers to Oberon Bay continued. TFTC

I had walked past this location last weekend with Pacgirl but skipped this cache as we were "hiking, not caching".
This time round, back at the Prom with Jacko and Timmo for a little 48km hike, no stone would be left unturned and no cache unfound !
We were feeling the distance and elevation by this stage, so all breaks were very welcome . It was definitely worth the extra distance to get to this one. Very rewarding location to take in the views.
Thanks, macey918.

I had the blessing given for a long weekend away and chose from my 'need more than a daytrip' list. The Prom had long been on the cards so here it was. Forward to today and myself, Timmo98 and Pacman were trudging out towards sealers cove with our overnight packs with the help of some itinery planning by the wizened Jammo and Homburg.
Maaaan - what a calfburner this guy was! However epic views up top, despite the cloud cover which we were glad didn't rain. Starting to feel it at this point and wandering where camp is!

On a 4 day hike, Just left Refuge Cove for Little Waterloo Bay. And this cache was a highlight of the trip. Spectacular views on a beautiful day. It was amazing to see the lighthouse and all down the South Eastern Side and the surrounding islands. A must do diversion along this track. A Favorite Point from me. Thanks for bringing me here. an easy find using the clue. An old Tin can was beside the Cache, May have been an old original Cache container. Thanks **macey918**. TFTC.

What a great walk and view.
I am here at Refuge Cove and thought this the opportunity to view Hogan Island. Unfortunately the cloud cover has come over and it's obscured.
We push off from here tomorrow to try and paddle to Tasmania.
So here's cheers

I'm out hiking for the night with my daughter.. this places is fantastic. Thanks for the hide
My deepest and sincerest apologies for the absolutely woeful logging time for this cache. I currently have a backlog of 460 found it logs from the last three years. Yikes! Obviously, many of these will be difficult to remember and with such a big backlog I simply have to do a default log (other than a few special favourites along the way). I am writing this on the 18th of May 2019, when this log is for 29/11/2016 Thanks to all of the owners and sorry for the pitiful log!
Really loved the views up here. Shame a raven attacked our packs when we went up. Be aware, they can undo zips. Tftc!
The drizzle could not quench our thirst for treasure
So it was up to Kersops Peak
The view was muted by the sheet of rain
But it was still stunning
And we found some rusty treasure chest
Future seekers may wish to bring a proper log

This really starts about three months ago when I was planning out a trip to the south coast. A bit of a quest of mine has to be to go to the extremes of Australia. I have been to the easternmost point in byron , the southern most in Tassie, The highest on Kosciusko, the lowest at Lake Eyre, so the most southern part on the Mainland was high on my agenda! On initial measurement, the walk looked to be about a 30km round trip, right down to the southern most point, and back around along the coast to the lighthouse, all the bays and back to the carpark. After a little more investigation, the whole walk was almost double my initial estimate, ruling out doing this in an easy day walk. But once adding up the times and finding that this walk would take only 18 hours breaks included, I decided just to go for it!
3am: Alarm rings in my car at telegraph saddle. Rain it moderately heavy... My bed is comfy....
As I had missed my walk, I looked at the map, and after this and other tourists consulted, I planned out a nice little shortened version; only 35km! THis walk upsettingly left out the lighthouse and the most southern point, so maybe another time for those! Catching the 9:30am bus, (quite literally whilst I was still in the middle of packing my daypack), I figured I had a maximum of 9 hours to do the walk. Having missed the bus yesterday from Mt Oberon, I knew how long the walk back to the car was [:/]
The first section of the walk was dead easy, should have brought a skateboard in hindsight! Over to boulder saddle on the singletrack the views began, and for the first time, I was actually moderately impressed with the “demo version” of Freycinet NP. Sighting the beach from the boulder saddle cache, I quickly made my way down to investigate. Reaching Waterloo Bay in half the recommended time, I had earned a little time up my sleeve, so rock-hopped and explored my way around to Little Waterloo Bay. A definite must! On completion of the mornings workout/exercises I enjoyed a surprisingly warm swim in the local style . Continuing from here, I made my way up to Kersops Peak, to where the unquestionably best views are. Lunch up here and a few snaps, and I continued down to refuge bay at a considerable pace. Nothing that interesting here on such grey… er … quintessential Prom weather. However, I was intrigued by the sculpture? Wooden thing? Looks like it’s a popular spot for boaties to leave part of their vessel here? Continuing onto Sealers, sadly I just didn’t have the time to have a proper look about here, I really would have loved another swim, but the thought of missing the bus spured me on to continue. As mentioned by most of the people I talked to, the next section was the prettiest and most majestic part of the walk. The rainforest was just superb, but I was most fascinated and in awe of all the track repairs and reconstruction carried out in the wake of the 2011 floods! Made it back to the bus station (Phew!) in time enough to LAY DOWN EXHAUSTED!!
Yes I did push it a bit going so far in so little time, but I still did immensely enjoy the majority of the walk (must admit around Horn Point wasn’t the most interesting) and I am certain that I had at least an hour of breaks. However, I am 19, and the length of my legs puts a giraffe to shame. In saying that, It is definitely possible for most reasonably fit people to do this walk within 12 hours. Thankyou again for a leading me on a great walk around the Prom TFTC!!!!!

Out on a 5 day hiking adventure with geo son in this beautiful national park and whats better we get to grab a couple of caches along the way .
After a heart starting walk from Refuge cove this was a nice respite to enjoy views , a quick search had a very rusted cache in hand and log signed, didn't realise there was a replacement cache so don't now if I just missed it or it was gone.

To enjoy a good view around the Nationalpark and of course to get a cache we desided to go up the hill. And we got the view and the cache. TFTC!
On our way from LWB to Sealer's Cove we made this little detour to Kersop Peak to enjoy the views, learn the botanical name of those distinct-looking plants and grab another cache. The container was completely rusted, but surprisingly the log"book" (just a small sheet of paper, really) was still in prime condition. TFTC!
Hiked up from refuge cove with muggle Colin after sailing around from port Phillip.
The truth is that we were looking for some phone coverage after being internet deprived for a few days. I found the cell signal here but, unfortunately, Telstra wouldn't let my Optus phone play
Chatted to some hikers near the top and then went for the find.

This was my ninth of twelve finds at The Prom.
Visiting for a hiking trip around the eastern loop 20 years after I first completed this hike. I came with my sister and she got a short introduction to caching
After spending our first night at Tidal River we were up early the next morning and headed to refuge via Sealers Cove. Much has changed, most dramatically since the 2011 floods. This is where we viewed what was previously my favorite spot on the hike, Ferny Glade, which is now a shadow of its former glory but is in the process of recovering. Camping overnight at Refuge was peaceful as always but we were greeted in the morning with the sounds of rain on our tents! Fortunately it was short lived and we started out with a brisk walk to Kersop's Peak to wake up before Waterloo Bay and the ever painful hike up Oberon to complete the two days. Thanks to all the CO's at the Prom. I know there are many more to collect but I have left them for future trips!!!

Find #3915
Streak: 312 days
Well, the long weekend was finally here and I had decided on another trip to Wilsons Prom. This time, an overnight hike on the east side. The weather was initially not looking that promising, so I packed the winter woollies and off I went.
It was getting a little late now, and I wanted to be at little waterloo before dark. But I was here now, so a slight detour wouldn't hurt. Well worth the detour with even more spectacular views. Cache was found in good order using the hint provided.
Thanks to team macey for placing this cache. TNLN

2014-03-01 10:05 Found with Jazwoz, Lukasberk and Sketch. We were on our way from Refuge Cove to Roaring Meg so we dropped the packs and headed up here for the cache and views. Many Thanks.
It was so cloudy that i normally would not have climbed this one. But as i missed almost all caches on the eastern loop I had to get this one
Now that's what I call a walk. I left home early, drove the 2 and a half hours down to Wilsons Prom. Parking at the carpark I walked to Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove, Kersops Peak, Waterloo Bay then across to Halfway Hut before returning back up to the carpark. Just over 40 very hilly kms, done in just on 9 hours! Returning to the car I removed my hiking boots and drove the 2 and a half hours back again. I can't believe I still have the energy to write these logs tonight!!!
Wow, that was a great climb. I did enjoy this one and the way it was placed. Sat and enjoyed the view as a few muggles cleared away. Found the cache and signed the log before returning it. Here I sat, enjoying some trail mix of nuts and dried fruit with a nice long drink of water, before returning to the trail. Thanks macey918!
Oh, and I left a trackable.

Sitting at home over the weekend looking at the weather forecast, i saw that the first few days of Spring would be amazing. Mid 20's, mild nights and no chance of rain or strong winds. So it was an easy decision to make. A 3 day hike down at the prom was in order.
The Hike is set to go from Telegraph Saddle to Little Waterloo Bay on the first day. 23kms via Sealers and Refuge. As i have not been back to see the track since the landslides. Day 2 is Waterloo to Roaring Meg, via the Lighthouse and Southern Most Point. Day 3 Roaring Meg to the Junction and then hike 5kms back along Waterloo Bay track for another cache. And then head out.
Well the first day went to plan. Second day i found a ranger at midday and changed my overnight camp 5 kms closer to the finish to Halfway Hut. Then as i still got there quite early i decided to keep on hiking. Headed out to the Boulder Saddle cache and walked all the way back to the car. A 3 day hike into 2 days with a very long second day. Amazing view and photos in the area and so many good cache locations to be found.
I love the views from around this area. Not so much from where the cache is located on the peak itself. Though back at the junction there is a rock that you can climb on. And from up there it is an amazing photo looking back towards Refuge Cove.
Cheers for another great location to find the cache.

After 8 months in Australia we understood the hint! Great view and it was good to leave the packs at the side of the main trail for a few minutes. TFTC.
Ehh... i couldn't walk further, without a little detour to catch this one The nature here is just stunning, and i would check the view from the peak. Dundee and Mr. Vitty with Vitty jr. stayed on the main track, and went down to Refuge Cove. On top i searched quite a while. The hint wasn't that helpful, i'm not very good in australian botanic Then i found an old rosted box. Needed the swiss army knife to open it, and found only some little rubbish without a log book. So i put in a little paper and signed my name on it. When i was hide it again, i found the right container, and did the log again. Beautiful spot, with a stunning view and perfect weather. Can't wait to come back to Wilson Prom and do some more hikes.
This was a bonus cache for drjim7 and myself in more ways than one. I have hiked the Prom many times but don't recall coming up here, although I probably did at some juncture. Fantastic views and a cache in good condition although some tins are keeping it company in its hidey hole. TFTC macey918.
JosieY and I came past as part of our quest to find "unloved" caches. There are number that have been isolated by flood damage and track closures until recently. We had a holiday booked at the Prom anyway but to fit around the rest of our party we set off at midnight. The walk from Tidal River to Little Waterloo Bay with light packs took 3.5 hours and we slept (in) until 8.30am.
We headed to Refuge Cove for surprising find and diverted to this stunning spot on the way back. We were lucky today with nearly 360 degrees of views, very clear down to the lighthouse.
Cache was in good condition but will probably receive few visitors until the Sealers Cove track reopens.

Bad weather means no views for us today from this spot I have been lucky enough to seen in good weather. It can be painful walking around with these spikey plants everywhere. Thanks for your effort in popping a cache here.

Found in second or third place I looked, Great hide Co-ords within a few meters ,made all the more fun with the stunning weather this weekend.
Have left a new camo painted 200ml Sistema with log book cache note and pen, the tin container still ok so have left it with the new cache

Found it only by chance once i gave up looking after 25 min, couldn't find it anywhere at the coordinates given above.
It was placed at the clue location though.
If i can suggest updating the coordinates, the following are the coordinates that i found the cache at-
S 39` 03.176'
E 146` 28.038'
If im wrong, sorry, blame the GPS, but these coordinates were where i found it at.
I took the Cow tipping geocoin and left a dice.
The Geocoin should be on its way to Malta I introduced a friend to geocaching for the first time, and she is heading back to Malta in a couple of days so shes going to take the coin with her and hopefully place it in a cache over there in a couple of weeks
We did the hike down there in 3 days, great place for a hike and an even better location for a cache.
Thanks

Found on a great weekend of walking in the Prom.
Walked from Telegraph Saddle Carpark - Waterloo Bay - picked up the cache - Refuge Cove and Sealers Cove for the night.
Enjoyed a great swim at Sealers.
Thanks for setting up the cache.
Dropped off Cow Tipping Geocoin. Hopefully someone will come back here soon!

will replace container soon, reactivating in the mean time as it has been found recently and log is intact
seeing that the cache has been found and is actually salvageble i will try to make it to theprom in the next few weeks and undertake maintenence on t....hopefully will relist it soon!!
I decided to have a look for this cache while I was on a trip around the Prom. After all, even though it was disabled, how often do you make it out here?
I had low expectations of finding it but, of course as is often the case, it was an easy find. NOW I thought, would be a good time to have that spare sistema (and logbook) with you that you left in Melbourne. Doh!
The container was a little rusty and could do with replacing but the log paper was fine and dry in the ziploc that boxerdog left it in. I did relocate it back to the original location as given in the clue as this looked fine and dry to me. Also this area is smaller and less likely to be disturbed by cachers looking for a haystacked cache.
If I could put my two cents in geocache maintenance frog Rana Pirica, I'd say the cache is good but needs a new container from the next person who passes by. (Don't do what I did and forget [:-(] )
The location was fantastic and was a much needed diversion on the slog from Little Waterloo to Sealers. TNLN.
Thanks for bringing me here team macey, I had a great time just getting here. The cache was a bonus. I hope you or someone else can get out here and do some maintenance. The site deserves a cache.

hopefully up and running again within next 8 weeks......i have struggled to get to the prom this year sorry
No cache was found at or near the coordinates. According to past logs, neither the cache description nor the cache coordinates is not longer in line with the location of the cache (which might be in a bad condition). So this is a obvious case for "Needs maintenance".
Found on our way through to Refuge Cove during our annual Australia day trek. Not much in there except a rusty pair of nail clippers and some pencils.
We camped at Refuge and I jogged back before breakfast next morning to place a sheet of paper in a plastic bag in the cache as a makeshift logbook. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare plastic container to replace the tin. Maybe next year!
A wonderful place
Thanks Team Macey

Spectacular view, 2nd day of our hike, well worth the trip.

Thanks for the info on the condition of the cache Derringer.
This was the first cache I placed and did not really think the container through properly......
I will most likely be up that way in the next couple of months bt if someone else is going there sooner and doesn't mind swapping the container for a more water tight non rusting version that would be great.
Regards

Found at 8.00am
I camped at Refuge Cove overnight to reach this one,
Refuge Cove is one of the most pristine beaches in Australia
It is just so beautiful.
A short walk up the hill to reach GZ,
Nice spot for a cache with sweeping ocean vistas.
You can almost see my cache located at the lighthouse!!!
Cache found easily without using the GPS - the hint was all that was required,
However, the metal tin is going rusty and will not last long.
The logbook was also a little damp - and the inside of the cache had a dank musty smell.
A Sistema would have been better suited to this environment - perhaps the next finder/or owner could supply one,
A sealing plastic bag for the logbook would be good too.
All I had spare was a large sealing plastic bag - so I placed the whole cache in the bag and replaced the cache
A top spot for a cache - Recommended to all cachers
Now for the 16km walk back to the car
Thanks
