Checked the site and saw the litter and signs that the 'inhabitants'of this place may come back. The cache was in open view, that's when I decided to take it to have it in safe hands.

I may need to move this cache. So disabling for the moment until I review its circumstances.
This is definitely a cache in trash out site. I managed a large bag full but it needs a few more to clear the area.
Left Luck of the Irish Geocoin took, travelling west TB.
Left Travel Bug Dog Tag it is heading for Chrictchurch New Zealand. Unfortunately I did not get the tracking number correctly and it is still tracking in Stargate- Darwin.

Jus back to swap some bugs , locals have been camping here and there are swamp hens everywhere.
I was out caching by myself on a very hot day in Cairns. I found the nearby cemetery cache, but when I started to go into the swamp to find this one, I saw that there were quite a few tents and such for homeless folks and didn't feel safe walking in by myself. Too bad, I had a TB that needs to find his way to the Phillipines and I was hoping to drop him off here. He was too big for the other cache. If any one knows of a large cache in Sydney I could drop him off in, please let me know. Thanks!
Pt. Douglas Trip 09.7. Apart from the mozzies, this was deserted with no sign of the lodging that seemed to came after. I liked the area. Thanks.

Our first (and only) find in Cairns! We've been too busy doing the tourist thing to do much caching...not that I'm complaining! It's been great here, and the weather has really cooperated. I probably should have worn real shoes for this one, but it wasn't too bad in sandals. We left one of our travel bugs here to roam his way around this half of the planet. We didn't take any, because it looked like the others wanted to stay in Australia, and we're heading back to the US in a few days. TFTC!
We already found the cache, but we need to dip a TB in here so we can log it and post pictures of it for our friends. Thanks!
We hiked over here from our hotel room, 1 and 1/2 miles, not a bad hike. We needed a cache to put our Australian Challenge TB. Thanks from Florida USA cachers!
Forgot we dropped 2 TB's here so needed to create a log for this one. Thanks!
An easy but well hidden cache - I always love finding these containers! We snatched the Lady pirate TB and I think this may have been where we found Duke Nukem as well but there are no recent logs. Thanks for the cache, Yarrum !
Found during our family trip to Australia.
Thanks to all australian cachers for making us discover all those nice places!
Greetings from France!!!!
Attention!!!: I dropped a TB in the container, but I forgot to log that I retrivied it from I don't remember where...so if the next finder cold give me the code....it was a figurine of an old man...Thanks!!!

Visiting here from Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Needed a place to drop off a couple of bugs from the US.
This was the place! Both Lady Pirate and Abby the Cat TB's are looking to travel far and wide and what better place than Cairns, Australia. Took 2006 Endian Geo Coin will take this one back home. TFTC

Nothing like a Cache in the OZ bushland to brighten your day! Found with GeoKDex. TFTC. Great container! One of my largest finds yet!!
Had to do this one before heading back to NZ. We have some of these caches so we thought it would be good to get one in Cairns and take some TB's home. So off we set, arrived at GZ parked up and thought lets do it. One with the torch the other with GPS. And yip torch was given to Indiana Jill while I stayed in behind. Hmm night caching over here is different to back home that's for sure.
The sad thing is we had left this to late, no TB's to take back to NZ. Thanks heaps for the adventure. Great container!!! TFTC!

We've been in and out of Cairns a few times over the past week or so, but left this one too late. We found the cache and signed the log, but we missed collecting the TBs to take them to NZ with us tomorrow! Yes, we were out there in the "swamp" walking through spider webs picked up belatedly in the glare of the torch . . . hoping no one was sleeping in the park or worse! Good hide. Scary in the dark!
Visited the Cairns TB Motel today and dropped some visitors off.

It was good to see that the local council as set aside some of the original vegatation of the Cairns area for the use of all. It is a good location for a TB Motel, quite area and not a lot of traffic. Dropped off Yellow Buggy TB and picked up German coin, will call back tomorrow to collect CRUX TB to move them both on to Sydney.
I had the same problem with the mozzies while writing in the log book, and the same problem with the TB. The one I picked up is not the one listed. I will logs the TB found separately. But finally have found it! Left a bunch of TBs we picked up in Townsville, bringing them further north.
Amazing little jungle in Cairns! Sorry that my offline-log is such short, but there were so many mosquitos around me that I had to hurry. Seems not to be dry enough that mosquitos have no chance to reproduce themselves! Was a quick and easy find, dropped TB, took GC. TFTC! (Couldn't find TB "Syd the Platypus")
Found that one rather easy, although in the dark;
Left GC as I had it for some time and was not able to replace it due to my GPS not working any more; Hope someone picks it up soon and places it at a better place which meets it's task better;

Thanks to a picture from Spinmeout, I managed to find this one without too much trouble, despite my dead reckoning of east being about 20 degrees off-course. Ma nature seems pretty determined to guard the motel.

Found out in open left Auzzie Frank TB which wanted to go from UK to Queensland and also my TB Scotland the Brave. Took GC to travel onwards. TFTC.
Waited for local Snake life to vacate area then moved in for log.

Found on a trip down to Cairns while staying at Port Douglas for the week. Great hide.
A little diversion on our way out of Cairns to the Atherton Tablelands. CruiseKat didn't like the spiders, so I did most of the work finding the cache Got it eventually. TFTC.
Found when looking for the way out of town rather than a cache. It was still programmed in the GPS so we gave it a try and found it. No trade (sorry!!), signed log. TFTC.

Our 4th cache for the day. We were expecting to be able to follow a track but this wasn't the case but then we spotted a bit of a Geo trail so we headed in. Warning to others there is a lot of broken glass hiding under the leaf mulch so wear shoes. Cache was quickly found. TNLNSL Thanks for the cache.

Cache is only 1km from home so wasn't a huge effort. Dropped yellow buggy. Took pink bits.
Just came back to drop off some travel bugs before we become unable to cache for the next month due to work.
Two of the bugs need to complete their missions by getting to Japan, so please, if you are able, help them on their way
We also dropped our very first geocoin in the cache. 'Pink Bits' the geocaching pig needs to make it to 6 destinations all over the globe. So please help him to visit all the places in the world that we have lived!

Swapped a few travel bugs and coins. We left 2 TBs here than need to fly to the Usa. If you can help them get there, please take them. If not please leave them here to wait for a geo-flight.

Last for the day and a good prickly find. As others have said heaps of travel bugs so grabbed the ghost net and am sending it West as requested. L- nothing
An interesting area I'd driven right past on many occasions but never knew existed. Took the family out to hunt for 'bush treasure' and found it quite easily. A few mozzies once we stopped! There are heaps of unregistered TBs in here including the rather large Geo Jerry (statuette of Jerry Garcia - if you are a fan of the Grateful Dead then you should definitely go and collect Geo Jerry!). will remember this location in future if I need to drop off any TBs.

Had a little trouble with this one (#3 for the day), and had to resort to the clue. Turned out our GPS had us about ten meters away from the GZ. Surprised at how many travel bugs are in this cache, and will return prior to going overseas in Sept to move a few to Africa. Took blue lipstick, left a penny.
