Must be something to do with Comet. The new nearby cache has one find befor eits gone missing. This cache is still in place, just out of reach. I am going to have a go at retrieving it next time I am through this way.

No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Just a broken wire. No sign of cache.
Needs archiving if it isn't going to be maintained.

Found the cache but the wire was broken and its now sitting at the bottom. I wanted to log it as a find but geo sister said I was not allowed to as we didn't sign the log book.
We found the cache without any problems and we could see it but unfortunately it is in need of maintenance. We tried to retrieve it but were not equipped to do so. Hopefully we will be back to try again one day. TFTH
We had a pretty good idea where the cache was when we pulled up. We have placed a similar cache in Tassie. SL. TFTC
Found very easily - may need a bit of maintance on the wire. Great place for a stop over of any kind. TFTF
Finally spotted the odd thing out, and found it. Cache was rather rusty! Cheers Gav [8465]
Didn't manage this one today,
Not exactly set up for caching today - and was atatched by swarms of little mites that bite (stil scratching a week later)...
As Arnie says 'I'll be back' another day to try again...
Thanks deathtrip for the challenge

Once the gps settled we were in the right spot to see the tell tale sign of a cache. Very clever and nice place to come too cheers.
Got the bugger on my 2nd attempt.
Very sneaky. I'd like to say more about them screw caps, but it'd give the game away.
Well done Deathtrip.
Cheers

Found at 1145. Stopped in the park to see the dig tree then wandered down to see the photos at the old railway station. Spotted this one straight away. Thanks deathtrip.
Very very sneaky hide. Had me scratching around in the rocks under the Station house at first. I was about to give up when I spotted something that normally wouldn't be there and bingo there it was. Loved the idea for the hide and will have to replicate in the future. TNLNSL TFTC. Cheers Team Lemmings.
A nice and quiet park here with some interesting items too. At GZ I sussed the hide and was looking to go back to the car for a tool but it wasn't needed. Love breaking these highway trips, thanks Deathtrip.
I have a very similar hide in Sydney so i found this one easily. Cheers!

We travelled this road last year and pulled up here for a cuppa, at that time we weren't armed with any caching details, but this year was different, thanks for bringing us back.
Cleaver hide.

Found at 9:15am. The cache was found quickly, however I would not like to be looking for it on a day the kids were about.
This place was appreciated, as I had read about this tree in my school days and had always wanted to see it. Now this has happened I can cross it off my 'Bucket list'
Thanks for a great cache. TNLN SL

Yes, it was great to see the tree replica with Leichard's mark.
At GZ we checked for a lot of stuff, where the hint might fit. We even found the key for the mower shed [Ooops, shouldn't have divulged that [B)] ] and finally my wife spotted the hiding place...

There was a rooster somewhere close by that seemed to know I was here, but other wise I had the spot all to myself and soon had the cache in hand.

After DNFing this one late last year and begging the owner to give me a little insight into this 'marvelous' cache hide I finally found it at around 1630hrs. I have to say, Deathtrip you are one sneaky hider!
I misread the clue numerous of times and only found it because I couldn't find it and started looking in places that I would never think a cache would be hidden!
Thanks Deathrip for that cache...This one is definitely going in the That's Gold! caching list!
TNLNSL
Thanks,
Camstal

Found at 13:30 on a relaxing drive home for Christmas with the family, fifteenth for the day! TNLN TFTC - Found in five seconds - great hide mate!
Bit tricky and not sure clue helped. Never one to give up, eventually found it..We need to be challenged every now and then. TFTC
This one had us tricked for a little bit. We were looking everywhere (even found the key to the mower shed which had been well hidden from public view!). Then we got warm and phew .... Well do we have a story to tell about this cache and it certainly lived up to its name. We really and truely had to dig and we had to do so for over 30 mins. You see Stigglepot saw a screw and thought that she had to unscrew the screw to remove said top item to give her access to the cache. However it didn't remove the top item, it removed the cache and the cache then went plummeting downward to the bottom of nice long thin upright item. Those who have done the cache will know what I mean - I don't want to give too much away in my description. We then had to get wire, plyers, screwdrives, torch etc and unbolt half of the metal object to allow us to fish the cache back up to the surface using wire. Lucky we travel with a tool box full of bits and pieces as not many people would ordinarily go caching with such items. We then made the cache a little more bomb proof incase someone else had the same idea as Stigglepot. Wow.. this is funny looking back but at the time was quite worrying in case we couldn't get it out! ... TFTC and visit to Comet....eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane

On a drive from Rocky to Emerald stopped by to do a spot of caching. Got it in the dark. Thanks Deathtrip.
On our trip from Rockhampton to Longreach we found several caches. This was one of it. It took a while before we found the cache. TFTC

Spent around 30mins searching for this one before waving the white flag. Checked in most obvious spots around GZ. Was quite amazed that I didn't find it as there has been many logs stating that the find was easy and it didn't take them long to find it.
Looks like I'll have to attempt this another time...(hopefully with a clue from the Owner )
Thanks,
Camstal

Easy find whilst on a lunch stop, in a location that I had not visited for a couple of years. TFTC.
Traveling from Emerald to Biloela and called in to find this cache. took a few minutes before I noticed a slight difference and then bingo there it was. You need a pair of pointy nosed pliers to remove the log. Thanks deathtrip for the cache.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 12:35pm. A good hide; had a good look at the railway station and the pix inside. We were stopped by a Comet River flood about 20 years ago when travelling in this area. Also had a look at the tree. TFTC
Nice Hide - Never seen one like that before.
My steely eyes are observant enough to have this one logged within just a few mins.

Stinker The Dog (TB) cocked his led on the post I was leaning on so Mick got a wet leg
I leaned against the fence to look at the most obvious cache spot. Wrong. OK so I should have seen the the cache location. Found at last.
I have seen this type of cache so I should have known.

After an express trip from Charters to Emerald decided to do a few caches on route to Rocky. A welcome break, lovely little park [^] and nice private hiding spot, although the clue had me looking for the wrong type of S.C initially [:i] Thanks Deathtrip FTC [:d]
Found OK. Thankfully the building shielded us from the grey nomads who were camped there. Nice bit of local history.

[Finally found this one after two previoius attempts.] We had searched everywhere around the fence previously. Very clever clue it took us a while to interpret it correctly we kept looking in the downpipes of the building.
Quick and easy find due to the means of securing the cache which is a dead giveaway. A great place fo a cache too. I love caches like this that can break up a long road trip not very far off your route so you don't make your trip longer but are quite interesting as well. For me this time I was on my way back from Ensham mine where i had been checking on the progress of the repair of the electrical installations of the dragline that we all saw go under water in the floods early this year. TNLNSL to the sounds of lots of nearby school kids squealing and laughing as they played at luchtime.
2nd attempt
no worries this time ...
still started off in the wrong place ... but got it eventually [^] nice on Deathtrip
for those who appear to get more than a little attention from the groundsmen - I think I know why, as for whilst I was looking for this cache I discovered one of theirs , I put it back where I found it too

Great hiding spot...at first went for the more obvious hiding spots related to clue...and found the key for the mower shed!!!

Had a Look around for this one, however the caretaker was there mowing grass and was keeping a very close eye on me.
Gave it away so as not to cause any concern.
Took some photos of a replica "DIG" tree, the original was there but secured behind heavy steel mesh too dense to even take a photo through.

A nice spot to stop for smoko. Thanks to the clue I found it in the third place I looked, previous visitors can probably guess the other spots. Thanks for the cache Deathtrip. No swaps today.
Clever little hide but the real find was helped with that great clue. Safe 'n sound - thanks for the cache. TNLN
deliberate detour from my normal route to grab some "LOCAL" caches ...
but damn it - got to GZ just as the local council workers decided to turn up and do some yard maintenance, had a quick look around, but couldn't get an opportunity to move in, without having to answer as to what it was I was doing !!!
waited awhile - then decided to move on instead
so really didn't get a chance to look, another for another time

A nice easy find on my way out to Emerald to check out the local shops. A new laptop was the result. This area is now part of my workplace, with regular drivebys on the pair of steel rails that are close by.
The cache itself is an easy one to find, once you see the clue. More time was spent trying to extract the logbook, than finding the hideyspot.
Cheers

We found this on the return from a weekend at Blackdown Tablelands to Emerald. We did not have the hint but were all giving the spot a lot of attention when Bill noticed what was different. Very tricky! I saw this new listing just before leaving home in the US and had really hoped for a FTF. I would have made a trip to find it several days earlier if it had not already been found. Tim, the youngest member of our party showed us the way after he found Known To Be Lucky. We have all been to the Dig Tree before. I bought Sarah Murgatroyd's book in Brisbane on my way home.
A brief stop in Comet to look at Leichhardt's Dig Tree after some time in Blackdown Tablelands NP. On our way to Emerald for a night. Exciting to be the FTF so far from home. Great hide. TNLN. SL. T4TC.
