Didn't find this one, seems it has been muggled no tin no cache anywhere I looked, I almost climbed a tree, but the tree wasn't there. ( It looks like a tree has been recently removed)
We pulled up here to look for the cache but the road in (from Landing Views cache) had my car sounding a little dodgy. Sure enough we got out and had a flat tire - completely mangled. So we rung hubby who was leaving work only 5 mins away and he came to fix it for us. We had a quick look in the meantime but the GPS and iPhone both had me right on the tracks. So back to the car with the kids and we did the school reader instead. Will be back for a more broader search on this one
Find # 1813 @ 1055 H
Heading to Ballarat for a Doc Appt. I left earlier enough to give me time to grab a few caches before I had to be in the big smoke.
I thought I knew all, when I got near GZ I decided to leave the GPSr and just get out of the ute to grab the cache, only to find it was not where I first thought. back to the ute, grab the GPSr oh wow I was so wrong.

No trains today, so it was too easy.... well a good hide out here. Thanks for the cache.
Found while out with Misschief18 and Chooknchunk . Had a passing muggle give us a bit of a funny look here as they drove passed but didn't stop. Nice quick find.

Found while out with The 2 Wanderers and Chooknchunk. I love trains, too, but didn't spot one today. A good hide. TFTC
Found on a fun caching day with Misschief18 and The 2 Wanderers. Cache contents were dry but getting a bit crowded. One passing motorist gave us that "what are you all doing there" stare. I couldn't think of any sensible pretence, so I just stared back with my "why are you driving past" stare, so he just kept driving
A nice quick find once we got out heads to thinking about it. Cache in good condition. Thanks for the hide. No trains this afternoon.
# 7619 Found on the 5th leg of our S.K.I.D.R.O. adventure,
while staying at Ballarat for a few days.
Another trip around with Team Robins for a few in town and another series.
No sign of any muggles around and a quick find.
Thanks for the cache fozzy778,
Roostaman.

GPS continually pointing me toward the tracks, so put that back in pocket ans have a look around, where would I hide it? Ahhhhh there is something suss over there FOUND IT TFTH.
Lots of Muggles driving by but no trains during my visit.
With winter barreling down on us it could use a new sandwich bag to protect the log.

GPS out a bit. One train and a few horseless carriages passed us by. Pretended we were inspecting the track. Haven't seen an old tin like that in a while. Clever bit of engineering. Tftc,tnln26/01/2014 8:07 pm Find #585
Wondering about the trains and why GPS was pointing me onto tracks, but alas too much metal. Moved a way away and got better bearings to then find the cache a safe distance back. TFTH fozzy778.
Out early to beat the heat. This was a nice quick find today, but no trains. TFTC.
Found on a wet and wild Saturday afternoon. No trains today. Thanks for the hide.
10/11/13 King and Queen Sr heading from Stawell ( VIC) to home after a Masonic function stoped off to do some caching, lots of fun and great sites seen, GPS said we were 3omt away, but found OK after a search no trains but lots of cars thank you fozz778
Found this one on a lovely winter's day while I was going home to St. Arnaud, the long way (caching as I did so).
The coordinates had me standing between two parallel rails, so (making sure no trains were coming first) I had a quick look around and whoomp, there it was!
Found it easy enough. TFTC

Ended up taking a bit longer as the cache is a good hide in this area.

Several muggles in cars passing by, thanks to my mate with camera in hand as a decoy. Good one. thanks.
Nice quick find with GeoJnr and GeoTilly. No trains today but the kids enjoyed the swaps. Dropped Red Key TB. TFTC.
Second attempt at this one. Once again coords had me on the tracks. This time I widened my search and found in in 30seconds. Go figure. This was my 400th find. TFTC
Second one for the morning. 8:05am, 30/03/13. Location sticks out like a sore thumb, but do you think I could spot it? Not for about 5 mins! Extracted cache and signed log between vehicles, and an early morning jogger.
Left skull. Took jewellers screwdriver (as I need one to tighten my Tomtom window mount). Signed log. TFTH.

Alas did not find this one, gave the area a good looking over but in the fading light I had to give up in the end. Area looks like it has had recent track works and I am wondering if the "Tin" has had work done to it??? Maybe its a time for the CO to do a checkup. Thanks for bringing me here.
Quick find whilst on holidays interstate visiting friends.

Found on our Ballarat Smackdown weekend with DazRascal, Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Quasar3671!
We all had a good hunt for this cache before it was located and signed.
Many thanks for bringing us here fozzy778. TNLN SL. Cheers.

One of 184 cache finds during our "Ballarat Smackdown" weekend of caching on the 23rd to 25th. There were 13 of us including Blacklegend and three of his kids, Trailrunning, Haveanez and their two boys, Dazrascal and myself amd my two boys Tyler and Cooper. We'd spent a few weeks planning the trip, with every Ballarat Puzzle solved in the area, cache lists and road and route maps all ready to go. We stayed in the Miners Retreat Motel for the two nights and the accomodation and facilities were great. Our goal was simple - find as many caches as possible in the time we were here !
We found a great variety of caches and hides during the three days, which also involved a bit of walking and some 4WD fun as well in the state forests north of Ballarat. The weather was quite cold of the Friday and Saturday morning but eventually cleared to nice sunny weather Saturday arvo and Sunday. We all had a great time, especially the kids who did really well to keep up with the pace we were moving.
Our second day of caching and it was to be our biggest day and fullest day too. Into the afternoon caching now and the weather had cleared up nicely. We made our way along Blind Creek Rd until we found a good place to stop and get out and look for the cache. Took a few minutes to locate but eventually found and log signed. Thanks for the cache.

One of 182 caches I personally found during our "Ballarat Smackdown" trip. The trip included teams Quasar3671, Trailrunning, Haveanez, Dazrascal and myself. Caches included around 30 mystery caches, a few earth caches, lots of trads and multis and both day and night caching. Some 4WD action was encountered as well, which was great. All puzzles within 60kms were solved.
I took three of my kids, Jasmine 7yo, James and Jemma 5yo twins, traveling from Tocumwal. The trip covered 3 days and two nights, staying in Ballarat. Quasar3671 took his two boys as did Haveanez. One of the best caching trips I have been on, and certainly lots and lots of finds, almost clearing out the main Ballarat area. Home base was the Miners Retreat motel, which was quite pleasant and quiet.
This was a find on our massive Saturday run, which included both day and night caches. Lunch was a picnic in the bush at one or our cache stops. A night caching run was undertaken after a rest and dinner.
Quick drive by at a good location. TFTC. Grabbed clue.

After a successful Friday evening to start off the “Ballarat Cache Smackdown” with 34 finds on the first day the Saturday was always going to be a day of superhuman effort. It started early with a run heading west and south, only to finish the day and night with a run to the Northwest and North. A great day was had by all because there was some good 4WDing and the weather held out for the day with only one notable shower. A total of 98 caches were collected today, and it shows you how quickly a cache can be located with so many searchers. This cache was one of them. Another quick drive by. Not sure what the clues inside the lid are for but we collect them too. Thanks for cache #99
Suscoe made a quick find here today.

Happily we had a few hours to go caching with our Adelaide friends GEOTRECAZ and this was one of the caches we targetted. No problem making the find. Thanks fozzy778
At 11.55h, I found I had a spare logbook, so replaced it! I was also glad to see that the cache wasn't on the train line as the GPSr suggested. Took - Micro SD card. Left - IKEA pencil, allen key, screw driver & SES fridge magnet. TFTC - Unka Dave.
Had been here a while ago so knew exactly where it was. There were no snails last time ewwww! Logged and collected pine cones with the dog and moved on. TFTC
Easy find in this somewhat out of the way spot. Very popular with the the local snail population!

Found after a small hint from 42below was given to me... the GPS wanted me to go 20 metres in the other direction..
No trains Took an eraser and left a 512 Mb Micro SD card. Good hiding spot and clue. Nearly got caught by muggles but I shoved the iPad up my top in time

After a long plod from Ballarat, I came across this cache in its unobtrusive location just in time to see the train from Ararat pass through - I had hopes (forlornly) that the train might stop for this rickety old plodder and give me a lift back. I can see why Train Gunzels would like this one. The backroads are quiet and the countryside so lush at present - colours everywhere and the Bottlebrush bushes in particular in full bloom. So, the walk was well worth the effort. Cache needs new log. Thank you to 'fozzy778' for the cache and its steel riband location. The clue is spot on too!
Quickly found.
Log needs replacing as there is very limited spots available.

Just had to figure out how to log the trackable... this should do it!

This was cache # 12 of 45 for the day, the cache was found on the way to the Ballarat event in the company of Alansee. I noticed the name of the road was blind creek, turned out that's what i was after finding the cache, we had parked close and on reversing out i had a close encounter with a very large post, Talk about blind. No trains came past while we were there. My thanks to fozzy778 for the cache.
No trains this morning either. I wasn't sure if I should have written down the information under the lid - been caught that way in Ballarat before!
A quick find on a cold morning.
Thanks, Robmc.

We found this cache at 5:25pm as the 26th of 31 on our Ballaratat Tour VI. We shot a bit further out of town to collect this one and still ended up parkng on the wrong side of the tracks. Thanks from D, HA and A B-A.
