Any chance the CO could check on this geocache to confirm if still present?
Or otherwise if missing, to be replaced? Thanks.
Or otherwise if missing, to be replaced? Thanks.
No luck today. Hint and comments didn't help us. We will come back with our thinking caps on.
Alycem89 and myself recruited the kids to search for the cache but all of I couldn’t find the hide even after several PAFs. Very tricky!
This morning, I joined Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) with a morning of finding the *Cycling the Redlands* geocaches series. The rain had magically disappeared from the start of our ride, and it was an enjoyable group session. I then managed to target a few older geocaches in the area before heading home.
In the afternoon, jesswrigley and I headed out and took a walk along Enoggera Creek in The Gap, finding a few of the *On Your Bike* series from #11 to #6. Again, the rain stayed away long enough to have a decent walk along this stretch whilst passing by many muggles similarly enjoying the afternoon.
I was attracted to this geocache given its oldie status, and so after parking nearby, I began my search. I had a few ideas of this cache type, and I think I must have spent 20 minutes in this patch searching along very closely and kicking around with my foot, but alas, no cache was spotted. I was surprised that I couldn't find this cache with my detailed search, concentrating with where the coordinates wanted me, so I couldn't help but think that this cache may be missing? A shame to have missed this today, so I will keep an eye on it; Thanks ben...for the cache placement.

Took the opportunity to cache south of the river on a gorgeous clear winters day, chasing a few older ones, some newer ones, some up trees, and others that gave the grey matter a workout.
Had a DNF here, so tried a PAF but no reply so I moved on. Later I heard back and got an excellent response, however even with an idea what to look for and where, it wasn't easy. Seems it was well covered with grass and almost invisible, no wonder I missed it.
Find #11310 @ 13:00
Thanks ben... for giving us a reason to visit.

After success of our tree fishing we all had separate plans for the rest of the day. I headed off to acquire a few caches around the area and some on the way home.
This one took a few seconds to work out, the hint was very helpful and I soon spied something that looked suspicious. With a little lift and I had the container in hand a gentle twist and the next container and then finally the log. Nice clever hide and a well maintained cache, thank you.
With the log signed and cache replaced as found I was off to the next one in the area. A favourite point for this cache.

Wow very clever was about to give up and call our first dnf for the day when my son found it . Thank you
I have just checked this hide. This is still in place and does not require archive. You need go look a little harder.
Couldn't find this one, despite a really good look around. I reckon I may have found the 'outer' container, but no evidence of the inner. Or if not that thing - then I found nothing. Maybe a CO check?
Mr made a quick find on this one knowing it was going to be an out of the ordinary cache. Have seen this type of cache online before but not in real life. Very creative. TFTC.
First find while out with PirateLinda, Giraffe18 and 2manytrailers... the others had found this already so they allowed me to make the find... this type of hide has caused me issues elsewhere... I replaced the snap lock bag and the silica..tftc...
Almost gave up. Even looked at this one when we first arrived and didn't analyze it enough. 'Out of place' was not really a good clue...think of dismantling something instead. Forget looking up in trees. Nothing to do with possums or paradise except for overhead power line. Foxtail might be a slightly better clue. Back in the day you might get wet!
Sometimes you just have no idea and need help. That was the case here. Interesting hide. Thank you
After numerous trips, a hint from a previous cacher, and moving some time settled dirt with a weeding fork, found the only possibilty. Bingo !!
Been to the site a couple of times Dug around, climb the tree, no sign of the cache anywhere. Is it still there?
Thanks for this one but unfortunately we were beaten today. There are just some days you should have stayed in bed and got some more beauty sleep. I just looked in the mirror and I should have stayed in bed for a decade. Thanks anyway
This is a great cache!
We possibly still wouldn't be earning the yellow smiley if a previous finder had not helped by giving us a pretty good clue.
Funny thing is we'd seen said clue and ignored it as being what it was!
Time to investigate further...wahoo, there it is. Log signed and cache returned to where found.
I'll say it again...This is a great cache.
TFTC ben and here is a favourite point from us.

Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan. Grabbing a cache or two while out exploring the area of Ormiston. Thanks for the fun, ben...
Out and about looking around the Redlands.
Love this one. Nice hide.
The log was just a wad of yuck. So we replaced it with a new one.

Eventually found it. And yes it is a good container and hide. Out with PirateLinda
Kept the car running as we thought it would be a quick find, slightly longer than first anticipated

Luckily Giraffe 18 is a little more persistent than me. While I was busy reading logs Giraffe did a wider search and came up with the goods. Photo of logbook attached as signing was impossible due to dampness. Could do with some maintenance.
After seeing this one was back in play, I swung by after church and was a little surprised at the exposure at GZ but nonetheless started looking for things out of place. After looking up, down and all around, I found something which reminded me a bit of one of my own hides... yes, it’s a cache. That’s pretty tricky, especially if not found for a while...
I took it all back to my car to dry out and I added some silica stuff to reduce moisture if possible.
Very neat although the Terrain is not 2.5 any more. TFTC where all is OK now.

Took a while to locate something that shouldn't be there, and even longer to open it once we did. Log is soaked somehow... nothing to replace it with sorry. Needs CO to replace log. Tftc
Out caching on a wet day with grand-daughter. After searching around GZ, which for us, was the centre of nowhere, we broadened our search. I looked at something which I thought might be a bit sus, and I was right. Our extraction tool worked a treat. Thanks ben...
Favourite point for a devious hide.

Out with stortigirls finding a few caches. Next, we came to this one. I parked the geomobile and as we approached GZ, stortigirls spotted something odd. Closer inspection confirmed it was what we were looking for. I went back to the geomobile for a ToTT and we were soon able to add our names to the log. TFTC
Selva Girls and I were driving past this one, and pulled in to collect a smilie. Arriving at gz I straight away spied something out of place, and with the help of a TOTT the container was retrieved. Very nice hide ben... and tftc!
Did this one with the family a few years ago, however thought to take my GC fiancé and see if we could find it again. Description said it had been change but after a decent 15mins of scratching around wasn’t able to find this one.
Had no idea with this one. Looked around some obvious places and GZ had me in shrubbery, but now after reading the logs I think I should have been looking somewhere else. Someone had dumped tonnes of grass clippings and mulchings and the trees had been recently hacked which put me off. Maybe have to give this one a go another time and concentrate my efforts elsewhere. Wasn't a DNF from lack of trying. Thanks anyway Ben.
After completing a few Older QLD geocaches recently Seffnjarah and I both independantly realised there were a few outstanding closer to home that still needed our ttention. A plan was hatched to head south for the day, and pick up some other unloved caches and a few more intersting ones.
CrookedPete needed to return for fatherly duties, so left SNJ and I to cache on alone. It wasnt all bad though - we seemed to be able to find caches much faster without him!
The yappy dog in the house was a tad offputting, however SNJ ignored that and went in for the find. Thanks for the hide.

After a morning spent together hunting down some golden oldie caches, one third of the Bromance had to depart for supposedly more important family commitments. This left Swellerfungus and I to continue searching out some other older caches, those that were desperate for some love, or other interesting ones like this one.
It was only when we arrived at GZ did I realise that I had actually been here once before quite a while back but failed to find it - I can't recall if it was missing ir I was just suffering cache blindness. At least with Swellerfungus here today we stood a better chance.
While the hint says the house is geocache friendly, the yapping dogs living there certainly aren't. They did their level best to squeeze their way out of a gap in the fence and barked the entire time we were there. We were extremely pleased to locate the cache and get out of Dodge. TFTC

I had to get some help with this one. Clever little hide. Not sure about the terrain rating though...

Out with RoddyC and Diamonjs for a spot of caching around the area.
Out of the geomobile at GZ and I spotted what I thought it was.
Others were looking elsewhere first and then came back to it.
Eventually opened it to reveal the cache.
Signed the log and returned to where we found it.
Possums do like to eat grevillea flowers and there were quite a few here.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks ben... All good with this cache

Caching day around Ormiston in the company of DiamonJs and Team Benders In a hot steamy day we gathered in 15 finds and no DNFs.
Well, that was a sneaky hide! Team Benders spotted it first, but we were initially inclined to dismiss it as it would not yield to opening. So we looked elsewhere for a while, but then returned here, confused perhaps by the hint - that would not really apply to the hide. Oh, well - I retrieved a sort of makeshift TOTT form the nearby GeoFalcon, and soon after DiamonJs had the cache in hand. A Fav from us for this one - fir its sneakiness![^]
But we all wondered: where are the possums and why would this be Paradise?
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 11.00am on 21st December 2016. TFTC

TFTC... 14/11. A small group of Tough Mothers looked and were a bit confused with terrain rating. Lovely to be visited by a rainbow lorikeet.
The terrain rating here confused us. Definitely not a 2.5star terrain. Luckily bennyboppers had a few bits and pieces in her work car to help us open this one.
Out caching with Misssusan, Bennyboppers and Remsjw. It took us a while because the 2.5 Terrain had us looking up, not down. I would think more of a 1.5 Terrain. Very clever hide. My phone kept wanting to take me on the road. TFTC!
WELL! This has been about my 5th visit. Armed with a tool this time, the outer container still put up a fight, but I managed to extract the log and leave my mark. Cache returner, concealed, and back to the car. Glad to have this one off my map, considering it is a few hundred meters from my front door. TFTC!
This one was a bit tricky and hard to get into, but log was signed in the end. Tftc :^)
Found the cache (with help), but couldn't open it! Will come back after I eat some spinach
Awesome container! Dog was on guard but a lovely woman and adorable children confirmed we were looking in the right spot! Had to run back to the car to get the right tool! TFTC - favourite point to follow
Was a quick find but hard to open. Hinds_xo multi tool to the rescue! Tftc and the chat
Wow thats a great hiding place definitely look for something that shouldn't be there, once again put your nose to the ground and you will defiantly find it. Good luck!
Found it! It's definitely still here! Well hidden. Luckily I'd seen one of these containers before, so it didn't take me long. Trust the GPS, and put your nose to the ground (wink, wink) and you'll be sure to find it.
Great hide.
Great hide.
We had a full day of caching on the rabbit track& then in the afternoon around Wellington Point area.
This was a very enjoyable day spent caching with the team of Kristie Morgan.

Finally, after three attempts and having to contact the CO.
Apparently, there is a whole bunch of Geo-Lingo we were unaware of.

Found with awdouglas and awgregory. Went searching a few times, but we found it in the end. Don't be scared to open it once you find it!
Tricky hide took us a while searching in the obvious places, started looking outside the box. Broadened our search and BINGO!!! TFTC

Geo Wife & I were up visiting a friend for tea so we decided we would head up earlier and have an afternoon of our favourite game before we were expected for tea.
We found a good safe parking spot and headed where the GPS lead us and searched for ages in every spot we could possibly think of, looking for every type of cache we could imagine.
Then Geo Wife changed tack and spotted something which seemed in a very odd spot but it seemed as though it couldn't be the cache as it wouldn't budge!!! [:(!]
We were not convinced but didn't want to leave without checking so we resorted to a PAF who eliminated our confusion.
We returned to the car and grabbed a few tools and eventually the outer container released and we proceeded to check out the inner.
I placed the cache back safely but ensured it was looser than we had found it!!!
Thanks Ben... TFTC SL

An obvious hide, but I appreciate something that is right under your nose, yet invisible to muggles, so a fav to you
thanks for the cache
thanks for the cache
After searching for the cache for a second time for an hour and a half I was unsuccessful I hope I have more luck next time
Couldn't find this one, although i only looked for five mins. There are a few trees missing and the barkchips here look pretty fresh
Clever clever hide. Had us ferreting in the usual places when something out of the ordinary caught this cachers eye. Little pull by Geo girl and cache in hand. Brill. TFTC
