I was determined to find this one despite my friend’s confused look as I headed from the beach into scrub. Easy find. Great spot on my way to the lighthouse. TFTC
As this cache is outside the current Covid-19 #stayathome area around Melbourne, it's now back on the map.

This is within the bounds of legitimate exercise.
If you found this cache by driving to it, you're interpreting the rules to your own benefit, and not the community's. You should not be travelling to exercise, and interpreting caching as exercise is a long stretch anyway (pun intended).

Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
Although exercise is ok, beaches, parks etc are gradually being closed, and we are being asked to stay home.
The possibility to transmit the virus by surface contact exists, so why take chances?
At the end of the day, geocaching is a game, and we are dealing with a serious Public Health issue.
We need to get our priorities in order.
I believe the responsible thing is to disable all my caches, until the crisis passes.
Thanks.

Late log from a hike this weekend. The last 15m of approach was the hard part, but managed it with limited injury to health and pride. Thank you for the cache!
We hiked into Sealer’s Cove with our three Geokids (7, 9 and 4) for their first overnight hike yesterday! Such a great adventure and a beautiful spot. We loved finding this cache this morning on our way out - TNLN - thanks for maintaining this cache and we hope you have a Merry Christmas
Great day walk from Telegraph Saddle. Thanks for the cache, this is a beautiful beach.
With the help of Noonab I finally managed to find a cache after a long interval without. Thanks for the find
Four friends headed out for an adventure filled long weekend in Wilson’s prom. The weather was not on our side but the company was amazing and the location among the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Sealers cove is a place I will remember for the rest of my life. The long (leech filled - ewww) walk from Tidal River and then suddenly the opening onto the beach front. Unfortunately we got caught at high tide and had to swim with our bags to get over the track to camp at refuge cove. A day I will never forget and a quick cache here to mark the memory. Tftc
Found 10/9/19. Have been wanting hike this area for a long time and finally had the opportunity. I had been told how stunning the area was and was definitely not disappointed. After walking a while through a swampy area, I emerged onto a magnificent beach with no one else around. After sitting for a while a taking in my surroundings, i grabbed the cache and continued on with the journey. TFTC
Quick enough find. Back here after 10 years and the 2001 devastating bush fires. Late log as I had no wifi and then had a slippery mishap that resulted in phone not liking salty water.
Thx for more caches in the great outdoors GMJ! This one was next to a glorious beach, great for a swimming break with friends.
This is a beautiful cove with a beautiful hiking track along the way, I really enjoyed seeing all the different ecosystems. The cache is well hidden in its little nook and in good condition. There does appear to be traces of muggle activity nearby though. Thanks gmj3191
What better way to spend Christmas Day than to go hiking in Wilsons Promontory and looking for some caches. Had a lovely walk up to Sealers Cove and found the cache there without too many problems. TFTC. Greetings from Belgium.
Wilsons Prom Hike: Day one - Telegraph Saddle to Sealers Cove
Walked along the beach for a bit, I didn't have a GPS or phone to guide me so I couldn't see the item described in the hint

I love this walk so much but I was about to have a huge disappointment. The river was deep and flowing fast so decided to turn back. Low tide would have involved a night time crossing but going by measurements I think it will have still been too deep.
The cache was an easy find and gets a favourite for being in such a beautiful location.
Need to come back in summer for a swim and the other caches around here.

Thanks to Mister Doctor doing all the hard work first, this was a fun find! Thank you gmj3191 and I’m sorry I didn’t get to meet you later at Tidal River; after our days of living off “yams and beetles” the geokids and I were pretty desperate for some good old fried foods!
First log for 2018.
Hadn’t really thought this one through. Set up at the campsite for a fantastic two night stay at Sealer’s Cove and realised there was no phone coverage there! Argh!
Was feeling a little disappointed, but then later that evening on the beach the phone went ping! It turned out there was a little window of reception on the beach in front of the Ranger’s Office (to the east of the campsite, on the other side of whale rock). Phew!!!!
On our last day managed to get a bearing and take some screenshots. Setting out with the gps now tracking found the way to the beach spot and took a bearing as advised. The signal kept working pretty well despite the tree cover.
The clue was helpful, but I insisted on spending a lot of time poking around everywhere but the most sensible spot! We finally found the cache, and wow - our first ammo can!! Found with thedoctorswife, son_of_a_doctor and yee. Retrieved Fred the top TB.
What a real bonus to meet the CO later in the day back at Tidal River, log his trackable car and caravan, and receive one of his brilliant Wilson’s Promontory pathtags. Quite the complete gmj3191 experience!
Thanks gmj3191 for placing this cache in such a wonderful place. Victorians are so lucky to have the Prom at their doorstep.

Find # 563
First Wilson's Prom cache. After climbing Mt. Oberon that morning we began our 2 night hike by visiting Sealer's Cove. With high tide predicted we were in a rush to get to camp so skipped the cache to ensure we got our gear across safe and sound. A thigh deep crossing ensued . As soon as camp was set up, we returned to GZ to find this cache in oerfect condition. It was my muggle hiking partner's first introduction to an actual cache after a DNF atop Mt Oberon. Hopefully first of many for the weekend.
TB drop!

I had the blessing given for a long weekend away and chose from my 'need more than a daytrip' list. The Prom had long been on the cards so here it was. Forward to today and myself, Timmo98 and Pacman were trudging out towards sealers cove with our overnight packs with the help of some itinery planning by the wizened Jammo and Homburg.
On arrival to the cove I thought I was back in Hawaii with it's rugged mountains and blue inlets. Pacman pointed out the way to the cache given he had literally came here the weekend before. An ammo can was a great way ti top off the superb start to the day. Thanks Jammo, a massive fave from me for this magical spot.

I was quite excited about this first visit to Wilson's Prom - a 38km overnight hike with Pacgirl exploring the coves along the eastern coast.
The walk down here was relatively easy, although obviously, what goes down must go up - but that's tomorrow's problem !
It was great to finally see the sea after several kilometres of hiking. Stunning area indeed - I'll have to visit again soon - maybe next weekend!
Thanks, gmj3191, for the classic cache in a classic location.
A FP from me.

On a 4 day hike to grab the remaining caches in the Southern Prom. This was my first stop. A new Toilet block has been installed at the end of the board walk. This will be handy for people only walking to the beach and back for the day. Accurate co-ords had me to the cache with ease. A beautiful Beach in a Stunning location. A Favorite for the destination and the cache container. TFTC.

Today we went for the Telegraph Saddle to Sealers Cove walk, which was amazing! We found this cache nice and easy thanks to perfect coordinates. Tftc!
A good walk at the prom. Such a great boardwalk. On the way to Refuge cove. Would have stopped longer, but march flies were annoying. TFTC
I'm out on the perfect evening hiking with my daughter. It's lovely to be out here finding this cache. Cheers
Third cache to find on a three day hiking mission around the prom. After seating up camp at Sealers Cove I walked back to find this cache. A cool find. Inventive cache. TFTC gmj3191
Absolute gem of a place. Due to future apointments and lack of time we were forced to lug through the high tide of the river. The clothes got wet but the packs stayed dry.
This little opening in the trees was the perfect place to sort out our wet clothes before heading on the journey to telegraph saddle.
Some of the most beautiful places vic has to offer out here.
Thanks for the cache

Enjoying a three day walk in the Prom with Sealers as our first night. Great to find this cache here. Quick and easy find. In good condition. Thanks for placing it.
My deepest and sincerest apologies for the absolutely woeful logging time for this cache. I currently have a backlog of 460 found it logs from the last three years. Yikes! Obviously, many of these will be difficult to remember and with such a big backlog I simply have to do a default log (other than a few special favourites along the way). I am writing this on the 18th of May 2019, when this log is for 28/11/2016 Thanks to all of the owners and sorry for the pitiful log!
What a beautiful beach. We could have stayed there all day but alas had to move on to Refuge Bay for the night. TFTC!
Found on Adventurer level hike(scouts) with Waverley valley and bennetswood. Nice find but I think i found it before. TFTC
Originally found this cache on a scout trip in Sep2008! It's taken 8 years to get back, well worth the hike, this time done as a day hike. Love a cache that is difficult to get to but relatively easy to find and in a good solid container. TFTC - took Aqua boy TB
Found enroute to Sealers Cove, staying there overnight with some hiking friends. A very peaceful and beautiful spot to spend the afternoon strolling along the beach on a beautiful day, with a swim of course. TFTC
Geo Dad & Matt found this cashe on the 5th of January, but had a flat battery on the phone. Just got round to logging this find. We left a little travel bug called Aquaboy who started out from Portugal. Wilson Prom is great place for hiking and Geocaching
Completed as a part of the telegraph saddle,Waterloo bay, Sealers Cove loop. For full log, see Kersops Peak.
had an overnight walk in the prom, enjoyed the nature the views and the caches here!
thanks for this one

Out on a 5 day hiking adventure with geo son in this beautiful national park and whats better we get to grab a couple of caches along the way.
This was our first cache in our adventure and what great way to start.
This was our first cache in our adventure and what great way to start.
The last day of our hiking trip along the Prom Track started with a little extra motivation boost, i.e. finding this cache, before making our way back to Telegraph Saddle. Thanks to the sturdy container the contents were in excellent condition. TFTC!
Woke up to a cool foggy morning, this only added to the ambiance as we walked along through all the different types of vegetation and listening to the birds. The 2011 storms certainly created a lot of erosion. The boardwalk would have to be one of the longest I have ever walked along and then at the end of it you are rewarded with a fantastic beach and a great place for a swim. This was our only cache for the day and like they say it's not the quantity but the quality. TFTC
Tftc!
Great find after a good hike in the prom.

Was 50/50 about doing the hike but it was a great day out complemented by a great cache to boot!

Found on what is quite possibly the last nice weekend of Autumn! Amazing weather and very few people. I love the Prom, and I am so glad there are caches to find along my hikes
I found the cache without too much trouble and all was in good condition. No sign of the trackable though, and someone swiped the insect repellant! I was looking forward to that after getting a few bites along the track.
We continued on our way to Refuge Cove where we stayed over night before heading back via Little Waterloo. A great weekend and some caches toboot!
Thanks for the cache and for the interesting history lesson re the area!

Hiked up from refuge cove with muggle Colin after sailing around from port Phillip.
After finding one to the south yesterday, today was my chance to grab the two nearer northerly caches.
It was like Bourne St. on the beach today with a lot of Easter weekend hikers on the trail. Luckily I managed to duck off to gz without being spotted. Sadly, for the number of people here today, no fresh log entries.

This was my seventh of twelve finds at The Prom.
Visiting for a hiking trip around the eastern loop 20 years after I first completed this hike. I came with my sister and she got a short introduction to caching
After spending our first night at Tidal River we were up early the next morning and headed to refuge via Sealers Cove. Much has changed, most dramatically since the 2011 floods. This is where we viewed what was previously my favorite spot on the hike, Ferny Glade, which is now a shadow of its former glory but is in the process of recovering. Camping overnight at Refuge was peaceful as always but we were greeted in the morning with the sounds of rain on our tents! Fortunately it was short lived and we started out with a brisk walk to Kersop's Peak to wake up before Waterloo Bay and the ever painful hike up Oberon to complete the two days. Thanks to all the CO's at the Prom. I know there are many more to collect but I have left them for future trips!!!

Grabbed this one as everyone was drying off their feet after crossing the tidal inlet at Sealers Cove. Last day of a 5 day hike!
Find 1321 at 09:13. I was down at Sealers Cove for the weekend and camped overnight with 2poons. We grabbed this one as we set out on our return journey. It was great weather down here (and pleasant compared to the heatwave back in Melbourne). It was my first visit to this spot, in fact my first visit to the Prom, so it was a great weekend away. Needless to say I was doubly surprised when I saw who owns this cache as I hadn't checked that beforehand. It's such a small world! Thanks for the cache, Geoff!
This was my 2nd hike to Sealers Cove, the first time we set up camp and went looking for the caches but the tide was too high, so here i am with 1st Bennettswood Scouts.
Nice big cache, love the useful contents
Took the Geocoin, will keep it moving

Lovely walk (as always). Great to find a cache over this side. Fairly easy find, but hidden well enough. TNLN. TFTC.
Extraordinarily practical cache contents, thankfully not required however. Left some Chinese money, cheers.
First visited here back In 09. Back again today following some scouts on a green level journey. Cache is safe and secure exactly were I found it so long ago. What a great part of the world. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kems

Streak: 312 days
Well, the long weekend was finally here and I had decided on another trip to Wilsons Prom. This time, an overnight hike on the east side. The weather was initially not looking that promising, so I packed the winter woollies and off I went.
After a hike of just over two hours with some absolutely stunning scenery mixed with some quite muddy spots, passing just a handfull of people going the other way, I arrived at GZ. The cache was found easily, although I did have to disturb a rather large spiders web. What a fantastic spot with a stunning beach nearby.
Dropped off GCA coin
Thanks to gmj3191 for placing this cache. TNLN

On a 3 day hike with a mate - Telegraph Saddle / Sealers Cove / Little Waterloo / Telegraph Saddle. I was so stunned by the beautiful beach at Sealers Cove that I forgot to look for the cache, instead we sat on the beach for awhile and then went to set up camp. And to get to the camp, you have to cross the inlet at low tide. It got to about 5pm and I thought I better go get the cache but it was too late, the inlet was too deep and cold. Next morning, the tide was up again.......
Just gives me an excuse to come back to this amazing place.

Awesome cache, nice size to fit many things, TFTC. Some useful items in there and some not so useful. Thanks for the Anzac Biscuit Recipie, quite timely given this was an Anzac weekend trip camping at Sealer's Cove.
Picked up the trackable, but I also left one with it's own mission. Great location and a great distraction to go look for as it rained on the day we planned to go for a day hike to Refuge Cove. Watch for potential muggle activity on the beach.

Found this cache on a day walk to Sealers Cove. Insect repellant not required on this occasion but a good idea. TN left a geocoin. Thanks to gmj3191 for a readily locatable cache in this delightful part of the world.
Nice weekend overnight walk with the family. Third generation to now complete this walk. Amazing spot. Cache is in good order.
2014-02-28 18:34 Found with Jazwoz Lukasberk and Sketch while out on the first leg of our hike around the Prom. We thoroughly enjoyed the leg from Telegraph Saddle down here to the beach. Now onto Refuge Cove. TFTC.
What a beach!!! We arrived early and had all the beach for us. Pleanty of time to search for the cache. Pleased to see the nice and well known type of cache container. Thanks for placing. Out: TB
I haven't done this walk since being in Scouts around 25 years ago when I did it as an over nighter staying at Sealers Cove. This time it was just a day return hike. It was a nice walk down, continued on to the camp area and had some lunch. We grabbed the cache on the return and I dropped off the "Archenhold-Thaler" Tb which I've had for just over a year...sorry TB owner! The return journey wasn't as fun being up all the way! haha. But well worth it.
AMMO CAN! Very happy to find a well hidden cache. Don't see that many lately.
Defiantly would recommend the cache service of the insect repellent as the march flies are a lot worse than back at Tidal River. We had been planning to do Sealers Cove one time, after the Lighthouse four years ago, especially with the floods in March 2011 closing the track to Sealers for two summers.
Thanks to gmj3191 for providing another great cache in such a remote spot.

Found with Wild Josh. Decided to walk to Sealer's Cove from Tidal River today. Explored the camping area had lunch sitting in front of the Ranger's station then walked the length of the bay. What I thought was a little mist at the north side of the bay built up to a fair bit of smoke blowing in from near Yarram. The cache was another quality cache from gmj3191. Thanks for carrying an ammo can almost 10 kms to place this cache. Enjoyed our time here and it was good to find a cache on our journey.
Now that's what I call a walk. I left home early, drove the 2 and a half hours down to Wilsons Prom. Parking at the carpark I walked to Sealers Cove, Refuge Cove, Kersops Peak, Waterloo Bay then across to Halfway Hut before returning back up to the carpark. Just over 40 very hilly kms, done in just on 9 hours! Returning to the car I removed my hiking boots and drove the 2 and a half hours back again. I can't believe I still have the energy to write these logs tonight!!!
This was the first cache that I found on my journey. On the way in it became evident that my water bladder had struck a leak and while the nice cooling effect on the legs was welcome, the realization that I was going to loose a large portion of my drinking water today was a bit of a worry. Turns out it wasn't much of an issue, I just had to ration the water and I made it through.
The cache was quickly found and although the pen didn't work, I had another that I replaced it with. Also dropped of a trackable. Thanks gmj3191 for a most awesome cache!

Visited The Prom for the day from our holiday accommodation at Inverloch. We were very lucky with the weather, after a couple of rainy days. Walk in took just under 3 hours, return took slightly longer. Many dead mutton birds on the beach, we assume they perished from exhaustion at the end of their southern migration. Found the cache without too much trouble and signed the log. TNLN. Thanks for the cache!
We took the shuttle bus from Tidal River to the Oberon Carpark & hiked to Sealers Cove. What an amazing track (my favorite in Wilson's Prom). However, we were a little bit disappointed by the shore, which is much nicer at Waterloo Bay. Anyway, a great day!!

Sitting at home over the weekend looking at the weather forecast, i saw that the first few days of Spring would be amazing. Mid 20's, mild nights and no chance of rain or strong winds. So it was an easy decision to make. A 3 day hike down at the prom was in order.
The Hike is set to go from Telegraph Saddle to Little Waterloo Bay on the first day. 23kms via Sealers and Refuge. As i have not been back to see the track since the landslides. Day 2 is Waterloo to Roaring Meg, via the Lighthouse and Southern Most Point. Day 3 Roaring Meg to the Junction and then hike 5kms back along Waterloo Bay track for another cache. And then head out.
Well the first day went to plan. Second day i found a ranger at midday and changed my overnight camp 5 kms closer to the finish to Halfway Hut. Then as i still got there quite early i decided to keep on hiking. Headed out to the Boulder Saddle cache and walked all the way back to the car. A 3 day hike into 2 days with a very long second day. Amazing view and photos in the area and so many good cache locations to be found.
Found this cache in great condition hiding away in there. The whole way along the track there was no one to be seen. Even once i hit the beach it was perfect sand. No footprints anywhere along it. I love hiking during the week. So peaceful out there.
Thanks for the cache in such an amazing location.

My muscles are still sore from the day hike but it was worth it. TFTC. The cache is still in great condition with everything clean and dry.
