I'll have to disable this one again, sorry. Looks like it's been muggled again! I will try to see to this as soon as I can.
Watching this cache avidly from the other side of the world as the rain and snow vie for dominance and our trip to Palm Cove seems a million years ago.
Is it possible to do maintenance on this site. It seems to have problems.
If they can be sorted we would like to "twin" it with a cache round here (Glos UK) the way towns and cities get twinned.
All this because I dream of a return visit, like Mayors and councillors get visits but not at rate-payers expense. [?] [8)]

If coordinates are right on this one, I think it's gooooonnnnneeee. Searched high and low, but with no success.
Prior to the cache being replaced we had a few DNF, went back today and still no luck!! we have read previous logs and we fear again it may have been muggled! if so can we suggest the cache be shifted onto land where it can be better hidden and less muggled. Great spot, but not suitable............
On our last day in Cairns we drove along the coast and did some nice caches together with VP244. This is really a great location for a cache! Approaching GZ we already saw the cache container lying obviously on the way near GZ as it was a warm and sunny day, many muggles were around. Hope we'd hide the container at its origin spot again...

A great place to hide a cache, but we think that it is better to take a smaller box. Because the cache was lying on the floor, so that everyone could see it. We put the box together with struppi & strolch on a better place behind the box. I think, the owner has to look after it very fast...

Finally found it!
We've been in Palm Cove since the 11th and had a go at finding this one almost immediately after arriving. However the pier was full of muggles so we had to abort the search and wait for a better opportunity. That opportunity came this morning, before most fishermen had woken up. There were still some people fishing but we managed to retrieve the cache without anyone looking.
This was our first found cache in Australia - yay!
TFTC, and greetings from Sweden!

Looked for a while but being humble was not enough. I needed to prostrate myself toward Mecca to see if the cache was there. Did for a bit without sighting it, then gave up when muggles approached. Would need a mat and religious paraphenalia to get away with searching for this one without raising a few muggle eyebrows
I'm happy to say that SubText is up and running again. It can be found at the original location. Contents of the new cache when placed were: mini carabiner, 2 toy cars, 3 dinosaurs, 3 monkey head erasers, 2 stretchy frogs and 2 mini highlighters. Enjoy!
Due to the high number of DNFs, I will have to disable SubText until I have the chance to go and check on it. Sorry for the inconvenience to all. I will have this back up as soon as possible - pauljoseph71.
[Well this was to be third and final geo of TEAM XTREAME BANNANA PUDDING's first day. We spent a good 2hrs searching 1 reststop in the middle to go back and check the clues we exausted every possible outcome with the clues given] including SUBTEXT having somthing to do with the submerged cable sign and wrighting on the wall looking even at the wall of the tyre[ No luck at all either really good hide or its a gonna. Let us know cause id like to try again if its still there.]
Scaled the area high & low, plus reading the numerous other comments added this cache definately M.I.A. Nether the less still had alot of fun trying not to look so suspect to all the passers-by. Would really enjoy seeing a replacement.
Deffinetly not there; second time I tried to find and I'm sure I was humbeling enough to find the cache; it is gone: Please check !!!!

09.00 - looked low, left, right and below - nada. This is one could be a goner ... now third cacher in a row! Pauljoseph71 might want to check this one. Thanks.
we have tried this for the 3rd time now, not sure what we are doing wrong..........might have to call in geohelp from geofriends coming from victoria to find it.
Claiming the find although due to mega muggle activity, was unable to open cache to sign log. Very busy. Wondered why the coords appeared out to sea... then it all made sense...
Although there were lots of muggles around we found the cache easily. We were as stealthy as we could!!! Our friends will get married on the beach close to that spot on saturday - really beautiful!!!
Thank you for this cache, greetings from Germany,

did this one early this morning and as luck would hav it just in time as just after putting the Cache back into it's place the area filled with Muggles. TFTC
Found while on holidays. Great hide. Had to use super stealth mode! Loved this one! TNLN TFTH
Whilst at pam Cove today recovering from the Queens Birthday expeditions thought myself and geokids including Jessica and Mitchell would go in search of this cache. Its a busy area but managed to blend in i hope.
Finally about 0100 the coast was clear enogh to grab it. A couple of the fisherfolk had decied to use GZ as their base so had to wait for them to leave. What a high muggle area this one is. Thanks to RaV 2 for a bit of support. TFTC
Last one (7th) for the day - did just on evening. Plenty people fishing so had to be discreet.

Beautiful day to be out here! Lots of locals, not so scantily clad though, more intent on plucking fishies out of the brine. Obtaining and replacing the cache took a bit of patience. Left signature item. Thanks for the cache!
Wet day midweek so no scantily clad people to destract us. Took a bit of finding but a great location.
Nice easy find. Gorgeous spot, despite the weather. One of our party sat in something nasty while waiting for muggles to move, so look where you sit.

On our Saturday visit, the muggles were everywhere, but we managed the snare...beautiful location...TFTC
Muggles are definitely a problem here: barely dressed people struting along the wharf distracting anyone with eyesight. TFTC
Found the writing on the wall but didn't find the cache. Had a good look and feel around but, nothing to be found.
Given the nasty weather that swept through this area in Mid January, the cache may have been taken for a swim.

Easy find on a lovely evening. took longer to replace as I had to wait for several groups of people to walk past. TFTC (218)
Hard time this spot wouls always be busy. But we managed to sneak this one and replace it. TNLN
On the first try, I checked it a little bit too "sub". When rethinking the situation I found it quickly. The fishmuggles had been distracted by their doing - so no problem....

After waiting patiently for SLOW moving tourists, looking at a croc swimming beyond the netted area, my son sniffed it out.
Thanks.
Thanks.
As we woke up at 4am again decided to go for an early morning walk on the beach and perhaps bag a cache before breakfast. It was another hot sunny day and the muggles were thin on the ground thank goodness. A fisherman had set up not far away but was not looking our way. Once we had the container some muggles arrived and we had to go into photo mode while they spent ages taking in the scenery. A beautiful spot if you ignore the jelly fish, crocodiles and falling coconuts! TFTC.
We headed out to this scenic location, there were a couple of fishermen here today but fortunately not near gz. Once the GPSr settled we had the cache in hand very quickly only to find that again we had been beaten to the geocoin. Although we had to sit and wait while a couple of muggle tourist slowly wandered past before we could return the cache to it's hidey hole it wasn't s problem as we sat and took in the views
Thanks pauljoseph71 for the cache

My welcome to Australian caching! Easy find with TLC providing conversational cover with nearby early morning tourists. And saw wallabies behind the hotel!
My first find for the trip in FNQ, and luckily there were very few muggles around on a Wednesday afternoon. Beautiful views. Took the two geocoins in the cache and left UrbanHunters' Travelling Dragon #10 and Yellow Jelly Baby TB. TFTC
Nice hide! We will be back soon to put a few Geocoins in this cache. TNLN. TFTC!
How great it is when overcast windy conditions clear all but the avid fishermen from the jetty. A rain squall right on cue had us using the structure to shelter behind while the deed was done and diverted the attention of muggles who scampered to escape getting wet.

Found this one after checking into our accommadation & feeling like going for a walk. this cache is ideal to seek out at night as there are far less muggles about of a night time although there were still a few fishermen about. Took nothing but left Rubber Chicken TB. TFTC.
Found this one with Gazza572003 at 22:30 afer arriving in Cairns for the weekend. Even at that time of night there were still a few muggles about. The night air was a little cool so quickly filled out log so we could get back to the car. Took Candian TB. TFTC.

Not too busy on the jetty today, a few fisherfolk closer to the beach, so we were able to grab cache unobserved. Sea a bit rough today so might account for the absence of visitors.
We unfortunately just got the chance to search for this one on a weekend. There were tons of people around in the evening and also the next morning... no luck

A quick walk a long the jetty became a longer find because of all the fisher folk lining he jetty. Watched wedding phots on the beach front before returning the container. Because of the fisher folk I swapped a fish for a fish. Thanks for taking me to a lovely spot.
Visited this one last Sunday, right in the middle of some festival in the park. There were about 8,000 muggles around the GZ, so decided to leave it till a quieter time. Returned tonight at 10.30pm and only had to contend with two fishermen. Nice romantic spot for an evening stroll.

Have replaced old container with a new, larger plastic container so hopefully this will withstand the elements better! There's room in the new container for TBs too, so feel free to drop them in!
Found by Mr Emu & eldest daughter on our "FNQ holiday" @ 5.15 p.m., GAFF3 http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GAFF . We decided to take some photos down near the jetty tonight, and in spite of a number of fisher-muggles about the place, were able to include finding the cache to our list of achievements. Great place for a cache, but the container was both wet and rusty. Definitely not the best type of container for this type of location - I'd suggest something waterproof, and plastic. Nonetheless, thanks to pauljoseph71 for a cache in an very scenic location.

In full agreement with the previous finder, something different in the type of container would most likely help with the water problem.
Yep, clue sure is right. It was the clue that helped me in advoiding the glances of the many people near the cache site. T Nil L Green starfish. TFTC
check out our log, the cache is a bit on the wet & rusty side, ok for the time being, but all the goodies are suffering.
Nice & easy cache on a beaut day, lots of people around, just sat next to GZ till the right moment.
Cache is we thru though, full of rusty water, dried it out the best we could & added another baggie so the logbook will stay dry. maybe another container perhaps?
Great place to visit, thanks!

Boy, these caches on Cairns Northern beaches are tricky to uncover, especially on a public holiday. Each grab attempt was made in a tiny window created when all the fishermen would look the other way at the same time. Finally put fingers in the right place, retrieved and signed log. Took a coin and left a swap. Also took Syracuse TB to move to another pretty spot, hopefully.
Our first of three quick finds today in Cairns. Had to look around a bit at GZ but found it without too much trouble (there were lots of muggles around, so the biggest challenge was not being too obvious!). Dropped our Syracuse Serendipity #4 Travel Bug, the last of the four bugs we're releasing Down Under. A beautiful spot with a great view. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache!
The clue suggested the co-ords were 7m out, but in the end the co-ords were right and the clue was wrong.
A great location with a great view just before sunset.

The clue is right but it's cryptic. I'm sure previous finders will understand the meaning.
