It started off a beautiful autumn day but we have had patches of rain for the past couple of hours. Arrived at the arena with iluvtrekking for the game but unfortunately we were aced. Four players here and no joy to be had.

I am heading over from Adelaide to Port Lincoln to catch up with the geoson for the weekend, taking my time over a couple of days to explore, and to pick up a few selected caches along the way.

This was a nice straightforward find as I travelled through Verran in the fog this morning.

The courts could use a little TLC. The cache is all good though!

Thanks storsum for the cache.

The geo-godchildren are staying for a couple of weeks so we grabbed my best friend, packed a picnic and off we went on a day long geo-adventure! Found on 6/1/19, our 7th find for the day. It took quite a while to find as reading the pervious logs, someone mentioned it was a tricky find so was looking for something unordinary, we were fooled! TFTC and taking us to somewhere we wouldn’t have stopped at before, the kids loved looking around the old place!

20-Oct-18
Tried to serve down a few aces but unfortunately the courts are in need of a new coat of paint or a bit more. TFTC

I think the courts are a little bit sad but at least we found a cache here. A group find with DFelta Ducks while on a geo-adventure. TFTC

No doubt a nice arena in its day Smile
But it has typically fallen into disrepair as the young people abandoned the area Sad
The introduction of modern planting and harvesting has not helped keep this towne alive.
More efficient farming means less people needed, which explains the lack of sport being played in this magnificent arena Big Grin

Not Tina though !!

TFTC.

What an awesome weekend! JLWE at Cleve Cool
Dennisc52 was kind enough to allow me to travel with him and throughout the weekend, I found 54 or maybe 55 caches (along with also beta testing in situ a 35 cache meat cleaver) and attended 4 events Smile

Dodged the motorbike riding youngsters, while wishing I could join them but my bikes were at home and mine don't do dirt so well, and made a quick find in a slightly unusual camo Cool

Found while attending the Cleve JLWE with Locus Cache. We decided to stay an extra day to cache Cleve properly, and this was on our agenda. More muggles again, but this time they were on dirt bikes. A family of young bikers were using the area behind, and adjacent to, the cache. We managed to retrieve and sign the log unseen though. TFTC.

One of many fun caches found over the June Long Weekend.
A great time was had to, from and around Cleve on the Eyre peninsular.
Thanks for your cache [^]

Crafty hide! Quitters luck.. I took one more look before walking away!! Then bingo! Interesting thing I never found any tennis balls. Perhaps they have all turned to dust.... The roll off roof had blown off long aggo........At least I found the courts (pic). Rod would be proud.

Brought back childhood memories of learning to play tennis here. See if you can pick out where the oval used to be. The cricket pitch is still there.

01-Nov-08
Was in the area for another event. Had a quick look for this one but unfortunately the lightning overhead combined with other commitments meant didn't have time for a decent search. Will have another go next time in area.
