It's been a while since found, with many DNFs. Maybe the CO could confirm it is still there, or archive this?

17-Mar-13
Disappointed.

17-Mar-13
Couldnt find it looks as though it has been muggled

20-Feb-13
After a very extensive search and time spent, we only came up with 6 dead marines and 2 bongs and 4 lots of broken glass which we took from the area. Obviously as the years have gone since this cache was hidden the lone tree is not alone anymore! Perhaps the cache as been muggled due to evidence of we found in the area? Perhaps a check to see if the cache is still there would be in order please Team Ninja
Thanks for bringing us to this new location - The Old Bridge Reserve.

Looked long and hard for this one. There has been a lot of digging around there but no cache to be found. Twisted Merry Christmas...anyway.

Lived in Sunbury most of my life but didn't know this road and bridge existed. Found the cache just fine though didn't bring a pen so couldn't sign the log

08-Sep-12
Found with The Sock Man. We have friends moving up this way soon so it was a great excuse to check out some of their future stomping ground. A very cute park, looks like it will make a lovely sheltered picnic spot. Apologies for our "piercing" log entry, it had to be the one time we had no pen anywhere so used the pin on a badge so sign with. Smile TFTC

Found with diddysmum 4.15pm

Cute little bridge. I'm glad it has been retired though. I like the little park next to it. Possible place for a future picnic.

Pity we didn't have a pen for the log. Had to use a pin to perforate our entry. Another great idea from DM.

This was my first ever Geocach, when I found it I was really excited. I didnt realise you need to have small items to trade. Note for next time.

Great fun thank you

Looking at the traffic signal on the walk down to the bridge, I'm very glad the new bridge and road alignment is so much safer. I guess the traffic was much slower when the original bridge was built Smile
Thank you Team Ninja for the cache.

There are so many bridges around here. This one has to be my favourite. It is a very prettty little one.
The cache was exposed so I returned it to where I thought it was originally.
Didn't notice the geo-coin.

Find number 49 for Team Mooo

Really enjoyed this walk on a cold Autumn day in Melbourne.

Didn't take too long to find it, although I did get quite muddy in the process!! Took a walk down to the bridge and it was worth it. Thanks for bringing me here.

Wow this was a hunt and a half!! Hint was a little misleading... After almost an hour searching around tree trunks with master 6 and miss 4 (all wearing garden gloves!) weather they stood alone or not... I sat on the road and rethought the clue... A huh... cache quickly in hand!! Very clever!!

Nice easy place to find a park & a very pleasant walk to the GZ!

Made a nice easy find & enjoyed the views of the bridge Smile

The hint baffled us for a time, then we just looked at our GPSr and there it was, right under our noses. It is pleasing to see the old Bridge still there too slowly passing through time. Another enjoyable caching experience provided by 'Team Ninja'. With 'Dylan 7a'. TNLN.

Found in the company of the fiance at 1700.
Cache was found with a short walk and some difficulty.
Its all dependent on ones definition of the hint.
We didn't see the geocoin (100 Geocoin TB2D55V) in this cache.
Made no swaps, some trackables we were carrying came along to visit also.
Thanks Team_Ninja for this cache.

Nearly a dnf after searching "likely spots" near GZ. The landcare group has obviously been at work nearby with what were probably weeping willow stumps beside the creek. I will check to see if the "orphaned bridge" has been waymarked for a visit log there as well. Log only. Thanks.

28-Nov-11
A huge day of caching that started in the wee hours of the morning and ended at about 9:30pm with one exhausted trail runner. I had agreed to pick up my caching buddy jsmyong55 at a reasonable hour and when we had finished he and he had added another 120 caches or so to his tally. It was a nice way to end our partnership as J is heading back to Malaysia soon. It will be hard to find someone to cache with that can fill his shoes.

I apologise to all the CO’s for using a generic log but after the 130+ caches for the day for me I’m too exhausted to even think of writing an individual log for each. Thanks to each and every one of you.

20-Aug-11
Couldn't find it after a quick look.
Didn't want to stay too long as there were a few farm boys unloading a hay truck at the top of the hill within sight.

30-Jul-11
Nice Cache. 1 Muggle but she declared what she was there for and we had a chat. She was from the Landcare group as mentioned and i informed her of our activity. The lady was intrigued and we waited a couple of minutes to uncover the Geotalk Coin. Will place Geocoin in another Cache when we can. Cheers !

Strange feeling when you go looking for a cache and check out the previous logs to find your DNF log about 6 months ago. Found it this time and dropped off a couple of coins I acquired. Thanks for the cache Team Ninja, it's hidden well but may not be after I found it today!

#1251 @ 6.25pm. This one had us a little perplexed and we thought that we were looking for a regular container. After 5 - 10mins the small container was extracted from its hiding spot. Looks like this cache has had some transformations in the course of time which was confirmed after the fact by a previous finder. We enjoyed our stroll down this old road toward GZ though - had to make the most of this last evening of daylight savings. TNLNSL TFTC Team Ninja

Out night caching the Sunbury region with my mate Blacklegend (Marshy). Managed to park within meters of GZ. Got out and spent a good 15 minutes searching then we read some more logs. Not too much help but we were determined to find the cache. Persistance paid off and I managed to locate the cache in its green hidy spot. Thanks for the hide.

One of 31 on a night run with my good caching mate Marty (Quasar3671) this time in the Sunbury and Riddels Creek areas. Well, after around 6 months without a find, we were determined, and after a 10 min search had the little bugger in hand. Had a short break as well here. TFTC.

Seeing as there have been a few did not finds on this one, decided to call in on the way back from Mt Teneriffe & check.
Was more difficult to find than on the first occasion as the green cave had gone (died off). Found cache & more slightly to another green cave with a stone guard.

14-Jun-10
Had a good hunt for this, with old and new coords, but weren't able to find it. Cheers Gav

14-Jun-10
I wonder how accurate the co-ords are for this one?

11-Apr-10
Yes, finally found the cache with the new co-ordinates. Many thanks Riddell for your assistance. TNLN.

09-Apr-10
Noticed the cache was relocated further up the road away from the bridge.
However the replacement co-ords were a bit out.
We revisited the cache to sort out where it actually was.
We found it at S 37' 29.649, E 144' 40.991
Happy hunting.

Searched for this for about 30 minutes. I would have moved more objects on this cache than I have on all the others that I have done.
Sadly I did not find it. I hate not fine what I am looking for.
Will wait to see if others find it before I bother going back just so I know it is there.

Came past here without notes, but with a "how hard could it be" ventured down. I've missed obvious things before, but certainly too hard for me today! Had an interesting time with the bees - I have no problem with snakes...but bees ....Thanks.

Found at 10.20am GAFF1. We were staying at Minda Killara with a huge family group for a combined birthday party, so what better way to fill in the time until every one turned up than to take the great grand niece and nephew and BIL for some caching.

It was really cold this morning while we were searching - the puddles in the middle of the bridge were frozen!

Thanks Team_Ninja.

Thanks again Team_Ninja for the cache

The gates back up at the road were open so we drove down, only to find the last few members of the working bee. To much of a risk to look too hard. Maybe next time.

Another bridge of the past that I have been past many times but never had the desire to stop. With a cache located nearby this was a great opportunity to stop and check the works of days gone by.
Parking at the top of the hill and a couple of hundred meters to walk it was pleasant but getting hotter in the deceptively warm day this afternoon.
Once at GZ the three of us set to work searching for the cache with myself coming up trumps on this one.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Team_Ninja for the opportunity to check out the works of ages past here today. Much appreciated.

We found our 13th Team Ninja cache at 4:55pm as the 28th of 40 on our Sunbury and Beyond Tour IV. Thanks to TomTom, we missed the parking option on the first pass and had to u-turn. Did anyone mention it was a 360m walk? Oh, yes, almost everybody. After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, "A" came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache from D,H,H & A B-A.

22-Nov-08
Found on the way home from the Xmas event. We parked at the other end of the road and it was a brisk walk of 360 metres to GZ. We had obviously missed a big storm because there was piles of hailstones everywhere on the way down. I wont say we found it as quick as Marcus, but we did find it all the same. I remember crossing this bridge from the early days when Swaggie1 used to go to the various speedway events in this area. The Swaggies also took the swaggie.
Thanks Team_Ninja for the cache.

22-Nov-08
Took the long way in doing the 360m walk and found it pretty quickly...a nice location too. I am surprised that this particular bridge doesn't look all that old...it's certainly not an ancient bridge - although it's a bit narrow by today's standards.

11-Nov-08
Such a wonderful November morning, so I headed north to grab a few early morning caches before work, to help with my "Well Rounded Cacher" entry.

Very peaceful stroll down the gentle slope to this old bridge, and found the cache, albeit on the other side from where GPSr was telling me to look. Interesting to notice that many of the trees down along the river have been recently removed - I wonder why?

TNLNSL - thanks for the cache!

I used to come down here every year or two with the CFA to burn off the surrounding gorse, willow and grass area as a fuel reduction burn, but fortunately someone is taking good care of the area now. This was the first time back since the willows had been cut out of the creek - what a difference it makes. Found the cache after a short walk around, over and under. I'd seen this bridge on many occasions when driving past, and was glad to have an excuse to take a closer look (and an excuse to find a cache, as I needed a cache near a waterway, such as the waterway is). The cache is nicely hidden and it will be interesting to see how the environment improves over the coming years with the willows removed. Thanks Team_Ninja.

This place will look a lot diffent when all the newly planted trees grow up. Not such a flash old bridge though.
Found the cache without any trouble, the biggest challenge here was crossing the road without getting flattened.

Looks like a lot of greening work has been done here. All the willows by the river have been ripped out.
Nice hide, by force of habit, we walked under the bridge first.

28-Jun-08
I did a couple of U-turns while trying to find the best place to park here. Once safely off the road and not on a bend I made my way down to the bridge. The first thing that caught my eye were the magenta-topped trees, designed to stop regrowth I imagine? It brought back memories of having to cut blackberries on my grandparent's farm as a 10yo. The cutting bit was ok, the poisoning of the ends that required sticking my hand into the bush was not fun.

That's two flashbacks from two of you caches today, keep up the good work!

Thanks,

Found by Roma and Max.
It was very pleasing to see the amount of beautification being carried out in the vicinity of this bridge.
If our memory serves us right we would have driven over this particular bridge a number of times in our visits to this area during our past 50+ years of motoring!
A short search revealed this well hidden container.
We left our mark in the log and made no exchange.
Thank you Team_Ninja for another trip down memory lane.

Found after a quick search, but retrieval was delayed while we threw sticks into the river passing time while 2 muggles walked by and up the hill, carrying a PINK footy!!!!!.
Then an easy retrieval. Interesting also seeing how it seems a vehicle in the past has demolished some of the bridge and the shoddy makeshift repair job done, replacing concrete/steel girders with wood! SurprisedSurprisedSurprisedSurprised

TFTC anyway, another historic bridge crossed off the ever growing list of Sunbury region bridges. Took snake geocoin.
