No response from owner. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 21 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
Replace or archive, as the last 8 DNF's clearly indicate it is missing. The former is unlikely considering the owner hasn't logged on for over a year.
We revisited today after not finding it last night (what with the darkness and all that) and we did use the clue so were 100% confident we were in the right area but sadly did not find it!
The 7th of our geocaching cycling adventure. Sadly no find but we will be back!
Our only traditional DNF of the day. We didn't stay too long though because of the chilly northerly blast!
Found rocks with red paint splatter at the correct location but couldn't find the cache. Not too many muggles as it was getting fairly bleak.
NZ11. More exposed here than up the shore a bit, but after a good poke it came to hand. Thanks.

Easy find today with few people about. Found without GPS as I had located the hint object previously.
Numerous fisher-muggles in vicinity despite the rain. There seemed to be quite a few of the objects described in the hint, but when I found the right one I realized the others were pretenders. I'm surprised this cache doesn't get washed away! TFTC
Took a few minutes to locate but soon hand in my hands. TNLN, SL, TFTC. #15 Today.
TFTC. No penguins to be seen, but could definitely smell that they have been living here.
Found it, cant imagine were teh penguins hang out. Muggles fishing near by made it interesting.
Great find, glad it didn't take too long as there were some fishy smells around! TFTC
A quick find by Master Miester. The 4th of eight while out for a spot of late afternoon caching with him. TFTC
Did a huuuuge caching walk (Newtown, Mt.Victoria, Oriental Bay, Evans Bay) today. Really nice spot, saw lots of surfers and boats! TFTC
My first one today, and after that I had a swim.
I must say, it is time to move north again!
Nice and easy find.
Thank you!

One of 3 nearby caches found during a short walk from the Motel we stayed at on our way back to South Africa. Picked up the "Pepper" TB after making sure the fishermen were not looking. Great clues, great cache. Didn't see any penguins though.
Got it okay, but the plastic back has gone. Didn't have one big enough on me to replace. TNFN SL
#1941 (10/15 on a drizzly afternoon). No sign of any penguins today. Luckily Troodles spotted the cache quickly (coords were good); it's the sort of terrain that can be hard to search. TFTC.
Plenty of fisher muggles around so we went straight for the hint to minimise our suspicious behaviour. Hint was great and turned it into a very quick and enjoyable find. Great spot.
Nice calm night for it, didn't see any penguins but heard a fair amount of chirping! TFTC.
Third attempt at this one. Previous two at the alternate location. easy find this time around and no fishing muggles around. TFTC
Lovely day for a walk along the coast, was a bit difficult to get at due to muggles fishing, but managed to sit down and grab it ok. SL TFTC
[343] Great views of planes coming into land but they were the only "birds" to be seen today Nice spot, thanks for bringing me here!
Good views out over the bay today, but no penguins in residence.
Cache find was straight forward, all in order here, and rehidden safely as found.
- GC + nil, signed log
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

A successful visit this time. When we last visited the cache was visible but unretrievable but a lot more straightforward this time. TNLN. TFTC.
I chose a really awful day to visit this area. I am sure it can be a terrific spot in different weather conditions. TFTC.
Found this after a bit of a hunt - please note cache is no longer in a plastic bag
This one needed very long arms and a bit of rock moving to locate. Should be easier for the next cacher. Nice and calm around the sea front today with a number fishing nearby. TFTC
I don't know if I would be classed as heavy machinery, but a little rock moving and some long arms later we had the cache in hand. Swapped GC's. Should be easy for future cachers again. TFTC
Yesterday in the rain I finally found this troublesome cache, only to find that it is totally beyond my arms reach and everyone else as well. Have logged it as a find but unable to fill in the log. You would need machinery to move the items over the top just to get at it.
After just about giving up on the search, cache was spotted deep in the rocks. Despite much poking and prodding with a stick, it was beyond reach. It looks like it has fallen down and is just about impossible to reach.
Pleased to finally get this one. This was my fourth try! Soon located today. -GC left 2x GC SL TFTC
Yay - First to find the replacement cache at 11.57pm.
Super-quick visit, even without GPS ... of course, not even the penguins would brave tonight's gale and driving rain. May be a different story when the fishermen are present.
Tried to find its predecessor three times without any joy (though lifting all those rocks did wonders for my arm muscles) so it's nice to finally feel empowered.

Attempted for a second time to replace cache, but too many people around.
I will hopefully find a quiter time in the next couple of days.
In the meantime, the cache is not there, so you won't find it.

Hint is no help at all and after freezing in the wind and having the Police boat look at us funny we finally called it and went off with a no-find
I assumed given the reported find that it must still be there.
Obviously it is too hard to find in its new location.
I will visit on the next rainy day when there should be fewer people around and replace the cache and/or relocate it to make it easier to find.
Given the weather at the moment, that will likely be within the next two weeks.

No response to numerous requests to do something about this cache, and there are circumstances which mean that despite the one report a while ago claiming to have found it it still badly needs some action to either ensure it is in place or to archive it.
Add us to the DNF'S though with lack of owner maintenance I don't know why we wasted our time.
Cheers M+S [:O)]

Can owners PLEASE check on this one so it is worth our while looking for this (it is on my watchlist but no point in attempting it at this stage!) A cache check is still justified despite the one logged find, there are some circumstances that make it still necessary, happy to explain to the cache owner if required. If there is no response shortly a "needs archived" report may need to be submitted.
Too many items mentioned in the hint as well as a previous log. Wasted enough time here.
This cache should be checked as we could not find it after an extensive search. It turns out that others have been disappointed here of late.
Could we have some clarification on this one please, seems someone found it away from the hint items with different coords (which means maybe Mr 13 slipped over for nothing though maybe he would have done so wherever the cache was!) - notes indicate the owner intended to check on it. I am not likely to get there before at least the weekend but would be helpful to know what the current situation is ready for when I (and others) do get there. (I did look for this yonks ago when quite new to caching and didn't have the hint and it sounds like it was recently found where I was looking in error at that time lol.) If it has not been established that it is at the correct place then perhaps it should be taken offline until it can be determined exactly where it is and the coordinates and hint updated if needed. Thanks.
The hint led us to a few possibilities but Mr 13 slipped on one of the hints and so that meant a quick trip back to the first aid kit
Surprised by previous log, it wasn't under rocks but under vegetation, not that difficult to find. Co ords a bit out. TFTC. TNLN
Anybody had any luck contacting the owners about whether Penguin Power was muggled or not?
Emailed them last week but didn't get a reply.
I spent 50 minutes looking for the cache earlier but came up short (no penguins either) - though after the previous logs I wasn't really expecting success.
Would appreciate a status update before I make a return visit.

Searched for a while, but couldn't look under every rock.
Note posted to back up all the other recent DNFs.

Hi,
This is a high traffic area and lots of nosy fisherman that do seem to stumble across it, so it probably has been muggled again.
I'll put out a new cache soonish. I think I'll also return it to the original coordinates since people have had trouble finding it at its current coordinates.
kjwx, you may need to check your spam settings, I replied to you only a few minutes after your email arrived.

Went to try this one for a 3rd time. Had a little look and then voice asked - " are you looking for a small box" A local fisherman said another guy found a box right where I was looking and it had a notebook and things inside. Said he took it away with him. That was earlier today.
