Stumbled upon this cache after a hard trek up the mountain for the herd of camels hide. Nice spot. Thanks Spinmeout.
Found this by extending our search pattern from the original. Cache is alive but needs attention...
This one has not been found for a while and we can't keep up the cache maintenance.
Sorry but we will have to archive this one as well.
Sayonara!

Enjoyed the walk to this one and soon had the first WP found and next co-ordinates entered into the GPS. Off to the GZ thinking about the hint all the way. Arrived at the GZ and then found a creative method of bring the cache to the top, nice one Spinmeout, a very unique hide and great views. SL, TNLN, TFTC
Alas Spinmeout, the cache container is in need of replacement as the local wildlife have given it a good chewing and the contents and log are a bit damp.
2nd time lucky! My iPhone GPS was way off again, so followed my instinct instead! Will help Bonobo Monkey on his journey around Australia. TFTC SL.
Found first cache easy enough, but was unable to locate second cache. iPhone GPS not crash hot. Will be back for another go in the not too distant future! ??
Found it with the kind help of Wazza&Kara. We wandered into the scrub a little too far (under direction of the GPS) but not before getting caught up in the 'Wait a while', Wazza directed us into the right direction.
Emptied the new collection of dirt from the cache. The swapable items are slowly dwindling away as they get eaten by the little creatures. Still a nice spot. TNLN SL. We then ventured up to find "Is that a Camel up there".Thats a whole different story...

Thanks Fullboar2010 for the cache update. We will organise a vermin proof container for this cache and replace as soon as we can.
We will not disable at this stage.

Found it by chance, was looking for another track and missed the first cache for this one and found the second one.

Found this cache relatively quickly on a late afternoon caching expedition with Chatmanais and his geohound. Thanks for the cache (and the exercise!)...managed to tire both the geohound and I
With finer weather today was the day to attempt to locate this cache.
The first waypoint was discovered easily enough, whilst a bit of searching was required to locate the illusive "handle".
With the cache located, Sharon's South Carolina Geocoin was taken and Bonza the Kangaroo Bear trackable was left.
Thanks Spinmeout for rejuvinating this great cache.

Well third time's a charm... although the first 2 efforts the initial stage was not where it should have been. Only took about 5 mins to find the first stage this time and then on to the second. This one took a little longer only because i had the wrong idea about what i was looking for. Found after checking the ground for recent shoe marks... aha! Covered my tracks after just so it doesnt stand out too much for the next finder. Was going to grab the coin but i've already moved this one before. Will leave for the next person. Cheers for the maintenance spinmeout! Nice location
We went to visit our cache today as we have received a request to check if the cache is still live. Unfortunately we have discovered the first cache was missing and at the final, the handle that is needed to retrieve the cache was way beyond reach. Today we replaced the first cache and it is in the exact same spot, a magnet has been added to the container to keep it in place and to help those who are looking for it (Big Hint).
The final cache container was recovered and cleaned, items removed and a GC added to the contents. A small hole in the bottom of the container was patched, so please return cache as found, at least unitl I can replace it in the near future.
For those who think the coordinates are a little astray for the first cache, I took a new mark today and averaged for 50 times, and still got S17.00.101 E145.43.490 using my GPS60 CSx.
Good luck and Happy Hunting to those who still have to find this one.

Had a quick look for this on the way up the ridge line to find 'is that a camel up there'. Granted the lack of recent logs on this one and the gps not giving me much love with reception i didnt really conduct much of a thorough search. No luck this time round though.
Found the first cache lying on the ground nowere near the GPS point though still all in tact placed back in hiding where the co-ordinates led too. Followed those co-ordinates to next point, they lead into the forest though the write-up claims the cache isn't? Had a look but didn't find? As for parking if you park at: S17 00.305 E145 43.488 (all bitumen) you miss a third of the hike. Also take a can of spray paint so you to can let future geocachers know what gang, clan or side of town your from. Will wait for next post. Cheers
Finally found after a couple of trips up, handle was covered by leaf matter,

Dropped in today to check our cache. Logbook is a bit damp but fine to write on for the moment.
Placed a Kuranda Train Coin for the next visitor to keep.
Cheers

This morning I revisited the place. Yes the treasure is still in its position, a bit damp though.

Found in the company of Herd of Camels and I must have looked like a newb with my caching ineptitude today. Oregon again had me way of course but after getting some advice I started again lower and located the goods only about 20 metres from where I was being told to look. (GPS gods not my friend today). just remember there is no need to get into the grass unless you really want that encounter with the snakes, or are heading up to the other caches. Grabbed the Tb so as to move it onwards.
08.55 - Nice sanctum with plenty of bird life and two nice challenges. GPS coords for second stage had me in the thick under grwoth. Eventually gave up and kicked my other senses into gear. Not long after I pulled the handle and the rest is history. Well constructed multi. +/-0 T4TC.
We couldn't find it and we looked for ages Oh well I guess we will try to find it again tomorrow.

After a DNF earlier in the year, I finally found the steam to head back up the hill for another go. Took a geokid with this time, and just as well as he, being more agile, was able to go low and feel for the first stage. Agile fingers are helpful, as you won't be able to see it.
The GPS led us into the bush on the second stage, but thinking it was too hard brought us back to our senses and thinking "Where would I hide it?" was more useful than the GPS once in the area.

TFTC. Glad to have this one done as it always pops up on the radar!

Headed out with Mr & Mrs Searchwise015 to do this cache. The walk was too much for me, lucky Mr Searchwise015 was there to carry me down the hill. Thanks mate. TFTC TNLN SL
Went up the hill to check on our cache this morning. I love this place. Kookaburras and other birds calling, Sweet fresh air.
Checked both initial cache and final caches are both in place and in good condition.
Left TB and GC we recovered on holidays and left them for the next visitors.
Happy Hunting

I have been going to do this one for a long time, so finally gave it a go. Unfortunately I couldn't locate the first container, so will have to give it another try one day. TFTC
Nice little workout as we walked up to and across the top of the world. We parked at the reservoir and walked along the bitumen road to GZ. First container eluded us for a little while and final container almost had us stumped as gps took us further into the bush than we really needed to go. Finally found after spotting something unusual.

TFTC as this is one of the better ones I've done. Nice location close to suburbia and the two finds are challenging.

Found it on our third attempt with a hint from the herd of camels, awsome hide

Found it on our second attempt (gave up due to failing light the previous weekend). Absolute genius hiding spot. For the second attemp, we read the logs from previous hunters, and immediately knew where to look. We probably stepped on it during our first search. Took the Buffalo TB (to be relocated somewhere else in Cairns) and a Castrol GTX keyring, and left a penny and a padlock plus keys.
Been up here before, and even thought of setting a cache, but the walk up the hill! Phew. I could see signs of searching, but could not find the first cache. I looked n every nok and cranny, but no luck at all. After an altercation with some barbed wire, I headed back down. Another day perhaps, will have to bring a GeoKid or two with.
Mrs whatsamap wished she'd worn something other than thongs for this cache.
GPS was a little crazy trying to find the first container so had to think like a cacher and say to myself "where would I hide it" and presto there it was.
Armed with the new direction we set of on another hunt.
Love the final hiding spot, but be warned, the final hide is protected by some old barbed wire which nearly caught me out.
This place really is a sanctum with the breeze blowing in the trees and the amazing bird calls that we could here.
Thanks Spinmeout, nice job.

Our first for the day, looking, looking, looking where is that first cache? While searching met Walter and together we kept looking. After quite a search I found the little sucker and we all preceeded to the real cache. Using the handle we retrieved the treasure. Muff1 took the Swaggie and TB our first of both and Walter took the Geocoin. We dropped in a butterfly and a finger toy and Walter left a toy blower. The swaggie will spend time with our family of Kooka's that we feed each day and then hitch a ride on a motorbike and head for Townsville in early June, keep an eye out for her there. TFTC it was great
muff1 and walterhellmut arrived at the same time. It was a great joint effort. TFTC
We were given a hard time to find the box with the real coordinates in it. And finally Jackie detected it on a spot we thought would be very unlikely.
And after that it was still a big task to reveal the cache from its hide. Jacki managed it and helped us to the glory of the FTF.
