Sad to say the cache has been muggled for the third time so it's time to archive this one. The good news is More Big Hits is on its way.
We had a 20min hunt around last night by the light of the GPS. Found the hint item pretty quickly and a nice little hiding spot but no goods. Perhaps another hunt with more light might be better! Thanks.
Found the area described in the hint but couldn't find the cache. Will try again another day.
Did not expect a park this size! I found the hint mighty useful too. The cache box was damp inside (don't know how) so dried in the hot sun. - Kiwi t/bug, + pen (not intentional but must've put it in as I was replacing the contents in the cache container).

Certainly a big hit for us. Loved solving the puzzle, co-ords spot on. So many favourites but more recent ones for the kids are CARS, Toy Story and Transformers…
OUT: Strato Liner TB

Nice One!!!!!! Picked this one up on our way home from a great weekend of mall hopping in the big smoke. Mrs. usakiwi is a Bambi fan; Mr. usakiwi goes for any old Roy Rogers movie. Let's face it, he was King of the Cowboys. Great fun. Thanks
Called by and did a maintainance check. The cache has been found by muggles (see cache log) so have moved it a couple of metres. Left a TB
Had great fun playing guess the year, surprised how many we got right, also surprised how old some of those flicks are.
So many great movies to pick a favorite, but as a kid my favs where Indiana Jones and Ghostbusters.

Quick stop for our 100th cache. My favourite childrens movie is Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban. TFTC. -TB
I was surprised to learn how old some of those movies are.
Quick find with W.E.K.A.
Finding Nemo is my favourite children's movie.
Thanks

A good puzzle and a great spot for a cache. Co-ords were spot on and the gps lead us straight to it. Mr Explorer's favourite would have to be Madagascar - we have watched it as a family a fair few times and it's still great. TFTC.
yay, our 100th mystery cache found. Would have done a cartwheel if we hadn't messed the final coords up last week. Swapped TB
A good puzzle enjoyed looking up the films. My favourite childrens film is "The Railway Children. Took the submarine and left a key ring. TFTC
A teenage son asked me to drop his gfriend off, but I kidnapped them and took them geocaching instead. "You don't mind if we go for a stroll in this out of the way park and look for plastic on the way..." Good clues, we may have a convert!!! - TB. Cheers.
Found with Cuttie showing the way.
Left 2 TBs & geocoin took nothing. no sign of geocoin.

Had a fun drive to find the easiest access point, and the weather was threatening to spit on us. But found it after a little searching. Mine would have been the original Star Wars (1977). Cheers Gav [2179]
I worked this one out and retrieved the cache with my daughter today a nice easy find. My Daughters favourite movie is Toy Story. I have taken geocoin and left a spoon. Thanks
2159. We had no idea that this area existed so it was a little adventure for us.
Cuttie, we enjoyed your puzzle and the cache was well hidden.
One of our favourite children's movies is 'The sword in the Stone' and we enjoyed finding a cache in Wellington some time ago that used this movie as its basis.
We left 2 of our favourite geocoins in this cache - Butterfly's Blue Morpho and the World Ploughing Geocoin.
Thanks
Iris & Rodney

Wow! What a nice large reserve! I didn't know it existed until I looked up the location in Google Earth. TNLN Thanks for the cache.
My favourite film, and one of the first films I ever saw (1951-53), was the 1950 version of Treasure Island. I can remember seeing it at the Civic Theatre in Auckland, after having travelled up to Auckland from Waiuku just to see it. There was a peg-legged person dressed up as Long John Silver complete with parrot on his shoulder in the theatre foyer as we walked in to see the film. It was neat!

Nice puzzle and a nice hide, didn't know about that area, a nice place.
Well, I have seen all those movies except "Lassie Come Home" but I remember the TV series of it (quite some years ago) As to my own favourite, definitely "Cars", I love the animation and how well the personalities of each car is done.

I was perusing StreetWalker's early puzzle finds, looking for a particular puzzle which he had found but I hadn't when I noticed that I hadn't logged this one. I can remember solving the puzzle (it was the first of about 3, I think, in this theme) and as well as finding it, and his log mentions I was with him at the time.
So better late than never with the log! TFTC.

After all the rain, we were just about tempted to bring our gummies - but it turned out we didn't need them. After a bit of fossicking in a not so favourite type of hide, we went to resort to a hint, only to find that we had an old version of the GPX on the PDA, and didn't have it. Eventually found it - a nice and sneaky hide. Oli was very disappointed to have missed out on the coin - but after re-reading the note - it looks like it wasn't there after all. Our favourite movies? Gary's is probably Shrek - for the same reasons as RinceWind's. Oli says his was Fantastic Four - Rise of the silver surfer. TNLN, Thanks.
A pretty quick find here. GPS was onto it. J did the work for this one, seems work can't be too busy in a few places at the moment, going by the logs. As for the movies, ET has some memories for J, as a 6 year old she had to leave halfway through because she was crying. TNLN, TFTC.
#226. Found with Troodles who solved the puzzle, at work (in a lunch break apparently). Quick find. Young female muggle mooching around with dog.
I can't believe I didn't get the FTF! After solving the puzzle first and hunting around the wrong spot (out by about 2 metres and still didn't stumble across it) I was beaten by Grandalf for a well deserved find. I very disappointing effort on my part - while it's very well hidden it should still have been an easy find for me by now.
Thanks for reminding me that the mighty GPSr isn't ALWAYS accurate.
As to my favourite kids movie...it's probably still Shrek (enough dodgy humour to keep the parents entertained, too).
TNLN, TFTC

Oh look, it's stopped raining - and there's an unfound cache out there. The puzzle was easily solved, so righto - wait a decent interval for others to have a chance, then off we go. On site, the gang of Council worker-muggles were suitably far away and I was shielded from their view, so I could freely search. Found it in about 2 minutes. And it was FTF - I'd really expected someone else to pick it up on their way to work this morning - where are they all?
A warm wizardly hello to Cutie - my favourite children's movie is "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", and I know well the location where the final battle scene was filmed. And my daughter was one of the centaurs.
No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1134)

[I know just how the ]trolls[ feel. I, too, was ]stumped.[ Got all the answers using google. Assumed that the years were for the original movie not any remakes (except Wiz of Oz as there was a silent movie made even earlier). Took me to a spot that matched the hints perfectly but I just couldn't find it. After 15-20mins hunting I had to leave to avoid being late for work...]
There is a prize (an unactivated geocoin) for the first child who is present when the cache is found. Please include child in the log and email Hello Mrs to claim the prize.
