Found it, but it was destroyed, it was not closed properly, it was all wet and the log book was all wet
Mrs NZT and I decided to have a road trip day today. Left home at 6.30am (crazy I know when we are on holiday but then this is holiday enjoyment for us!!!), drove lots of kms all over the place and back home in time for dinner with a nice haul of smiles (we mostly had smiles today woohoo). This one needs maintenance as the container is sun damaged. It took us a little while to find as the GPS took us to areas that didn't quite meet the hint. Finally found next to the gate. We decided not to pop in on granny and grump as we had more caches to find. Thanks for the cache.
A last minute plan was hatched for Keylev and Mrs NZT to have a girls day out in the Waikato today. We started out early in the day. grabbed a coffee at Mercer and then started caching. We had a great day driving around lesser travelled roads and enjoying the sun. Got a few newer adlabs completed and also a number of other more traditional caches. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. Finally finished back in Pokeno with a well deserved ice cream and after 11 hours caching we were ready to head home for some dinner. A GREAT day out. We weren't too sure of where the hide was and initially I dismissed the eventual location as I thought it might be too easily muggled. When we did find it the cache was in poor condition and full of dirt/ants? so we took a photo if the CO wants further proof of the find or condition. TFTC!
Took a bit of a search here, but found in the end. No log in container so replaced log. A nice drive in the country. Tftc
Found container, replaced log. Out in the middle of nowhere. Weren't sure about the hint. Tftc
No luck here today, probably could have searched a bit longer but mum was getting hangry...
It was me. I was mum.
It was me. I was mum.
Nice spot for a cache. Unfortunately the lid has a hole and everything was soaked. I'm marking this is needs maintenance but also noted that the CO hasn't been active for 3 years so maybe archiving will be better. Enjoyed the countryside drive tho. Thanks!
Wow. The last time this was visited was almost 2 years ago! Nice wee drive and gave geo pooch a run around while I hunted.
Nice lot of swag in the cache too.
The container will need replacement as UV has weakened the plastic and now it’s no longer watertight. Thanks for the side trip.

Out for a Sunday session in a part of the country I haven't explored before. Sorry, didn't have time for a cuppa. TFTC
lovely wee drive out today thankyou. didn't look like you where home so no cuppa and chat sorry. thx for the neat smilie.
. On a small road trip with Mcjandals over to the Waikato. Lots of fun and good weather until the end and then it was time for home. Enjoyed some roads off the beaten track as the main ones were very busy. Think the farmers in the area will be glad of some rain. Thanks to all the COs for some great caches TFTC
On a roadie with NZ Flossy. I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers
This one was a nice quick find, signed the log and replaced as found.
Did the decent thing and carried on to Granny and Grumps place. Nice to meet you both

Was heading through Te Hoe, so made the detour up here to collect this cache. Good sized cache, TFTC
What a beautiful day for a drive. I'm going to head up to the end of the road to see what's up there and hopefully on my way back Granny and Grumps have got the jug on.
We have travelled to Huntly especially to get the Eyes series and get some caches for the Hidden Creatures adventure. we stayed in Taupo Friday night then headed off early Saturday morming for Huntly and along the way we decided to get a cache or two this was the second cache for the day. It was a nice quick find here today we signed the log and placed it back where we found it cache was all good here for us today. We are travelling with fellow geocachers so we have a joint log. (2BWCBB) stands for 2 Bulbars Watcache and Blenheim bear. Now off to start the EYES series. Thank you for placing all these caches in the area. We never had a reason to come this way up North until our fellow geocachers invited us on a weekend trip away. We got to Ground Zero and thought we never have luck with 1 difficulties for some reason but today we were lucky even though my co ordinates we a bit out. Thank you for brining us to this area.
I was here last August when the cache was missing. Now that it has been replaced, I had to stop by to turn the frown upside down.
Afterwards, I followed the instructions in the log book and paid a visit to the COs, Granny & Grumps, and their son who was visiting, Pooke. We had a really nice chat over a cuppa. Now what was it that we talked about? TFTC.

After finishing up work in the early afternoon, I decided to reward myself with a drive in the country. Nice weather for it, in general, but now there are passing showers. Starting to head back towards home, but not before I find a few more trads. I parked up just across from GZ and made the short walk over to GZ. Managed to execute a super quick find here. However, the heavens open and a heavy shower began to fall, so I took the cache back to the car to keep things dry while I signed the log. Cheers for the cache placement!
Vamber, KirsTim and myself decided to tackle some of the Waikato caches today, or rather focus on the eyes have it series and anything we came across on route. Thank you to all the cache owners for their cache placements, they are very much appreciated. It was a hot day with the threat of thunder storms (which we got on the drive home) and ended up suffering for hayfever for the first time in my life, legs attacked by long grass but this is all in the life of a cacher, we had no issues with farmers or the like.
This one was a nice easy find and surprising large, but then we realised it was a replacement log. TFTC

Out in the Waikato with half of Vamber & Yorkshirekiwi83 to do the Eyes have it series, but first a couple of trads to start off. We came up the road, but reading the logs we were worried it was a wasted trip. Surprised to see a brand new cache, so signed the log as KTS, as our first names. Thanks for the cache
I think I did a pretty good search of the area, but I didn't spot it. Maybe the COs could take a look.
Didn't find this one which was really disappointing in the freezing cold! Our GPS kept sending us in circles! Next time!!!!!
An enjoyable catch up with local geocachers at the monthly 18@18 event last night in Hamilton also led to plans for a very impromptu mini-mission with IamMrWalker to cache along the Tahuna-Ohinewai Road this afternoon. My recent knee op limits my caching options for the time being, but its great to be out & about regardless, enjoying great caching company, finding caches and, even better today, driveby placements that don't require much walking or deep knee bends!
IamMrwalker came to my rescue & made a nice quick find before I could work out how to grab without knee bends. Log signed, cache all good, TFTC

T4TC. Found on our way home from NZ Mega 2016 geocaching event. Found this cache with our kids. Unfortunately we missed you on this occasion. Were you at nzmega too?
Another 6am start as TNXPro and I make our way up to Route 66 North of Auckland. This was my 10th cache today and it was found quickly and in good condition although we found the cache 10m East of given coords. Cheers Granny & Grump, TFTC.

A slight detour to this while heading to Auckland for a caching mission. Is easy when you look in the ight place, but coords took us to a different area first. Tftc
Undertook a bit of drive from Matamata to Morrinsville, albeit the long way round but it was a beautiful day to be out and about and hardly any traffic. Had always wanted to come and do this cache and today was the day. Thanks for maintaining this cache.
Have replaced container again, new log book also.

We had a spare day this week so decided to do a loop and grab some of the caches in the area and
see some new country. We tipped out the water maybe the lid has a hole in it TFTC

This must be the wettest cache we've ever found! (see photo).
We emptied it, dried it out, put the sodden old log in a plastic bag and added a new waterproof one. Then sorted out the swag that had survived, dried it and replaced. All good until the next downpour, due tonight. I don't understand how this one collects so much water!

As its a gorgeous day today I went for an afternoon drive, and on the long (LONG) way home decided to stop in and pick up this cache. I like gravel roads, so this was fun. Unfortunately when I found the cache the box was completely full of water. The logbook was slimy from being immersed, and most of the pages are now stuck together... I've tipped the water out, but some farmers were coming up the road, so I quickly reassembled everything and carried on my way. May need some maintenance. I photographed the contents if you are interested in seeing it's current state. Cheers
Heading to Tahuna for the day with family and time for a few caches along the way. A quick find and as already mentioned, this cache needs some urgent maintenance. Lid cracked and contents soaked, log saturated and barely able to sign. TFTC anyhow!
Heading south to Morrinsville with a few stops along the way. As already mentioned the containers in a bad way. TFTC
Easy find this evening. needs drying out.
The neighbour came out to talk to us as we were finding the cache so we showed him, but he already knew where it was hidden. He offered a plastic bag to help with the wet contents but we declined, as they need drying out properly, and we thought the CO lived just up the road. Sorry no time to call in for a cuppa as it was already dark and we needed to head home.

I was out in the fog and ice to wait for it to warm up so that I could apply some transfers to my caravan.
I had a good talk with Terry who lives in the house across the road today. He has been wondering why quite a few people have been stopping here.
Cheers for the cache.

I was given the task of finding our cache for the day in the dark late at night. I had tried another nearby cache but had muggle issues. I've decided I'm not cut out for night caching alone and will leave that up to my hubby! I was worried seeing a possum on the drive down the gravel road and then realising the cache was nearby a residence with a car parked outside would cause any muggle interference but thankfully I couldn't see any lights on and no animals made any noise. I managed to stall the car and skid getting back onto the narrow road. How I didn't attract any attention is beyond me! I found the cache quickly and was on my way again.
680 As Street racing in Paeroa cancelled due to wet conditions so taking the long way home. never saw Angus. No bull.
Have looked at this cache for ages but never quite made it over to do it - fitted it in on a trip back from the airport today. Cute country road - was hoping to bike over here, but not at this time of year! TFTC
A nice little detour and a quick find, helped fill in a bit of time before our nearby appointment. Unfortunately, not enough time to pop in for a cuppa, but thanks for the invite and the cache.
I have never been out this way, we took a bit of a detour to get this cache - on our way to pick up some chickens. Nice drive! TFTC
On the road again with Gap (of Fap and Gap). He has a small job to do and we are combining this with a sweeping cache hunt through the northern Waikato.
This was a quick find because the cache was visible. All quiet across the road this morning. Didn't look like anyone was home. TFTC.

Been after this one for some time, but was a little nervous about annoying the house occupants across the road. decided a late night raid would be required, and parked nearby and walked in. Quick find of the cache. Quite cool seeing an original logbook for a cache this age
Found with alpenmilch80 on the long way back to Auckland from Hamilton to pick up some lonely caches for a license challenge. The hinted item doesn't appear to be anymore nonetheless the cache was easily found. Thanks!
Slieschke and I decided to take a detour back from Hamilton to Auckland to collect some lonely geocaches. Easy find at night time as the container was visible. Hint needs either an update or requires the cache to move as its not matching any longer. TFTC
A slight detour to grab this one on the way to Thames for a night of tramping. Nice wee spot!
Attended a family reunion down the road so took a little detour on the way home.

Today was spent, alongside our caching buddies, KiwifruitsNZ, securing the last of the requirements for our Full Geo-Licence Challenge - find 50 caches in one single day and where each cache found must be at least 1 km from any of the other caches! A daunting target and task, which resulted in a 12 hour day, but it's done! Yay!
#38 of 50. Thanks for the cache, Granny and Grump!

Another weekend, and another KiwfruitsNZ/Vamber caching adventure.
This time, it was to secure the "50 caches in a day, 1km+ apart" requirement for our Geo Challenge Licence #9. After 12 hours of caching, covering several roads between Auckland and Hamilton, surviving several downpours of rain, and the odd "interesting muggle", am pleased to say that we claimed our 50 caches (plus one more for the daily cache)!!

I love exploring side roads like this, and a cache is a great added bonus! I hope whoever lives in the house knows about the cache! 8pm find made it too late to call in though! TFTC!
Easy find but far too late for me to be able to pop up the road for a cuppa. Pity, maybe next time. TFTC
Last cache for us today. On our way home after a day in the Waikato visiting areas a little off the beaten track. TFTCSL.
Didn't find it today but did find a wasp's nest that I disturbed. Will be back another day
TFTC. Found quite quickly today. Sorry did not have time for a cuppa. On our way back to Auckland and back to Brisbane tommorrow.
Help, the 4th DNF for the day!!! GPS had me standing right on top of something but no GC.
Easy find, would of loved a cup of tea, but we needed to get going up to Auckland, and no one seemed to be about, maybe another day we will meet for that cuppa.
Coordinates and Google maps took me to the other side of the road, where I found a clutch of Turkey eggs. Interesting Cache, I thought. But, I found it as the hints described. Thanks for the drive to see and enjoy a place I have passed many times.
1.55pm - GPS had me on wrong side of road to start but soon had cache in hand.SLTFTC
Nice Cache A Very wet Day Had to go and do Angus Cache.Pop up to wish you a Happy New Year but gate was closed. Thanks
Not the nicest weather to be out caching got more than slightly wet by time I got it.

TFTC, a bit of a dash after the detour for Monty's cache, so did not have time for the cuppa.
Quick call in on the way past, sorry no time to stop for a cuppa. Great to see a hidden valley in the Waikato even if only briefly, TFTC
Started searching on the wrong side of the road but logic eventually prevailed. TFTC
On a tiki-tour around the norther Waikato as part of the Loneliest Cache Challenge. (http://coord.info/GC2RBRN). Muggle farmer watched out his window, but I parked the car to obscure the cache. Knew I was beat when I found FMZ's log ahead of mine in the logbook.
On a night caching mission around the Waikato region to find lonely caches (>5km from any other) that we haven't already found, in order to complete the NZ lonely cache challenge. Left Auckland at about 1730 and got to bed at about 0345 in the morning. This was the 7th of 9 finds for the challenge tonight, around about 11pm. Initially searched on the wrong side of the road because the coords are about 8 or 9m out. Once I switched to the other side of the road the cache was found immediately. I guess the occupant of the house across the road is aware of the cache? Anyway, hope I didn't disturb them. TFTC!!!
Nice spot. I'll bet the Cow - Cockie is checking who is at his gates every time a car pulls up. Thanks.
Quick stop off on my way to town to do my xmas shopping , No one around area, Out TB
In TB Valentino the Love Duck for a swim in the stream.
In TB Valentino the Love Duck for a swim in the stream.
Family connections to the area made this an extra special cache. The neighbours children were out in force at GZ and very inquisitive, so this took time to secure. Had time to speak with local farmers who knew our family connections. Left TB Lucky The Sheep II amongst friends. TFTC
nice easy find when ya on the rite side-dont think any body home today in the house nearby so nice quick find -cheers jumboz
Often come through this way as partner had family in Weiti, but he's not into caching so I can't get him to come up. Today heading to Rotorua for 10th Anniversary even with daughter & UGTME. Unfortunately we couldn't call in for tea as we were running late and neede to get tents put up before dark. TFTC - Elephant (can't refuse as I collect them), + hair clips.
Took forever to find the right road back tracked many times but was fun none the less was on the way to 10th anniverary in Rotorua with Helefant. TFTC
Well !!!
Middle of nowhere to some I'm sure but loved the drive out here to retrieve this cache.
Felt the eyes of little muggles watching from nearby house.
Found with Skweak on our way home from camping at Dickey's Flat

Got to GZ and spent a few minutes looking for the hiding spot. Spotted the yellow lid eventually and signed the log. No time for tea today. TFTC
Today, after 3 weeks, I finally completed my mission. Visited both Monty's & Angus's caches, also Mums Day cache and met Granny & Grumps & their cainine companions. Thanks for the drink, hospitality & cache.
As this had been muggled by the kids next door, decided to move TB Boing to Mum's day cache. Added new swaps.
