No finds for quite some time. Given how easy others found it, i think this will need a look from the CO.
Sadly ... no luck for us here today . We had planned a while ago to tackle this one for our 3000th find, so with the kids in tow on a beautiful day, we set off towards our destination. We were very surprised to be able to drive to within about 300 (crow flying) meters, and set off on foot (and pram) towards the top . After almost circumnavigating the peak following the well graded road, we found ourselves at the top, where a quick perusal of the hut was made. We headed off towards GZ before too long, and upon arriving in the vicinity, i think we both felt that something wasn't quite right.
There had been a few DNF's on this cache, so a couple of days preceding, we decided to try and contact the CO. A surprisingly quick reply informed us of how the container was hidden ... under wood, in an area with lots of wood.
This is why things weren't quite right, because there was just no wood . We concluded that over time, hikers had slowly collected all the wood from quite a distance around the hut to burn in the wood stove that is inside, as well as the BBQ outside. Maybe someone has uncovered the cache, and removed it [?] ... not sure, but we searched for over an hour with a sick little 1.8 yr old that was not too happy with us not finding a treasure, so we called off the hunt . Time to put PLAN B into action
TFTH Team Gunn Parker ... and thanks for your quick e-mail reply. Only wish we could have found it.

Stopped by Mt Wells for morning tea on my way from White Horse Hills to Chadora campsite. Had a quick look but couldn't find the cache.
I found the location ok but could not find the cache. I was disappointed as this was my very first try at geocaching. Luckily there lots more!
What a lovely spot Mt Wells is high on the hill. Found why doing a two day hike with the Pingelly Scouts. Had a hard time finding it. Enjoyed the campsite. TNLNSL Thanks for the chase.
Did this one on a Bibbulmun end to end N-S. On a second attempt after arriving just ahead of the coporate mob.
Not really the best hut the rooms are small and it's a little cramped and was overun with very small tics when we were there.
But the view and if you are brave have a gander from the very top of the lookout. Map up there and one gets an idea of how fires were triangulated.
T: Nothing
L: Cameo Jewellry
Thanks for the hunt

Took a bit of a find as the container is quite small. Cool spot I love Mt Wells.
