We enjoyed this little cache and the old church and cemetery. Had a wander around the old gravestones - life was obviously a lot tougher in the old days. Thanks

2629.

I pulled into the driveway and the cache was still a fair way away, took the wander to the GZ. I'd love to see the parishioners leaving via this driveway on a Sunday....

Thanks JABs for the cache and the nice quick find.

Bathurst Invasion Weekend. I love these old sites. The small communities scattered all over the place, each with their own places of worship. Great to see. Thanks.

Love places like this full of history and wonder why they built a church way out there. Cache could of been bigger but good to see one there TFTC

apart from the container size this is a great location for a cache, obviously the main gate has move as the road was cut by the Church
*recommended* well worth the stop for people passing through this area.

this was a nice easy find, helping to restore a bit of faith in our geocaching methods lol. SL after co-ords led us straight to the spot. TFTC

It was quite dark when we arrived here and we shimmied our way along a narrow ledge to GZ, checking out the nearby chapel from the outside of the fence TFTC

nice quick find after a few today. SL, TFTC

Found it in the fading light while running very low on fuel in the car. Probably should have just kept driving home, but couldn't resist just one more cache. Didn't run out of fuel until we reached our driveway at home!

We had just stopped and started to search when another couple pulled up in their car. This had us thinking what are the chances of this, some one else wanting to poke around here in the middle of the day in the middle of the week, but that seems to be the case with us. As it would turn out, this couple didn't even notice where we were or what we were up to since you do not need to enter the grounds.

...now back to the cache. We located the cache fairly quickly but the GPS wanted us to search about 6 or 7 metres away from where the cache was located but that does not matter at the description is good enough that you don't even need the GPS. We were left thinking that the road must have been vastly different back when the church was built, ah...
Thanks for the cache.

After seeing this new one published last night the last thing we thought is that we'd be FTF. But at 1.45pm we were the FTF. A quick drive out from Bathurst and we soon had this one. A nice little church.
